Matthew has Feelings about his Boss.

Not like THAT, you goddamn pervs. He has Feelings for his Boss the same way that chick in that Brooklyn 99 meme had about that puppy. Like, "I've only had Dream of the Endless as my Boss for about two minutes but if any of you motherfuckers hurt him, I have a very particular set of skills that will make me a nightmare for people like you."

Yeah, he's mashing up his references, but Matthew doesn't care. His Nibbly Darkness, the Lord of Dreams and Nightmares has had a shit time this past century, no thanks to his bastard bitch of a sibling and seriously, Matthew thinks it's seventeen thousand kinds of fucked up that their idea of teaching their brother a "lesson" involves imprisonment, innocents caught in the crossfire and potential murder.

So yeah, Matthew is perfectly willing to throw down for his Boss if he has to.

Except his Boss still has nightmares about poor Jessamy and it's manifesting itself in being oddly protective over Matthew in the absolute worst way. Like, he's the Raven for Dream of the Endless now - he's got a job to do and maybe sometimes that has an element of risk to it but those are the breaks right? Dream can't keep Matthew from attending to his duties and he's gonna do them, come hell or high water.

And the perks are like, super amazing, because flying, woo to the hoo! There's some magic stuff and some secret raven tricks that Lucienne has been teaching him, because she used to be Dream's Raven too.

He's also got nesting privileges now, because it's nice to get some shut-eye in the Boss' coat. It's hilarious because Dream will be all exasperated and say, "Matthew" in this long-suffering tone, but he accompanies that with gentle pets along Matthew's feathers and there's a tiny sweet smile playing about his lips. Dream reserves those smiles just for a very select few - which currently includes the boyfriend that Matthew thoroughly approves of - and Matthew's proud to be one of them.

Matthew remembers the first time he got a proper hug from the Boss, which had scared off several years of his life. And that was mostly because he felt real tears soak through his feathers and it was kind of awkward to manage a "there, there" with a wing but Matthew made it work somehow.

He was a little proud that he did manage to coax his sad wet cat of a Boss out of whatever melancholic funk that Dream found himself in but yeah, that made Matthew nervous, because he knows all the signs of depression when he sees them and this is not a task one single Raven can undertake alone.

Well, Lucienne actually said that first, when she first recruited Matthew. He's taken them to heart.

Mervyn was another one they'd nabbed along, because while Mervyn might have a mouth on him and tact wasn't exactly a word in his dictionary, but Mervyn was good people in the end. The next was Abel, with Goldie peeping along. Then, thank the Creator, they'd finally managed to grab Hob Gadling who was a goddamn gift to them all, even if they had to put up with the occasional flower showers or the inadvertent appearance of blooms in every nook and cranny of the Castle.

There was this one time, where they were all in the Dreaming's version of the New Inn, where Lucienne had finally gotten drunk enough to reveal one very important secret about the Boss.

There was a lot of swearing, and Matthew had to appreciate Hob Gadling for the colorful Middle English swearwords, which kinda had a weird harmony with Mervyn's cussing. But basically, it all amounted to a collective NOPE from everyone in this conspiracy. This wasn't going to happen. Not to their Morpheus. Not on their watch.

Dreams don't fucking die, Matthew had once said to his Boss, down deep in the bowels of literal Hell, with the Morningstar Herself about to move in for the kill. He's gonna make good and goddamn sure that Dream of the Endless will stay alive. He'll always have his Raven to guard his back for him.

There's no adulterous affair. Lilith loves Eve as much as Lucifer does. Eve loves Lilith as much as Lucifer does. Lucifer loves them equally. It's a harmonious triad. A triad kept under stars and leaves; they comfort her through her tears.

She's tethered to a man she doesn't understand. A man who looks at her but wants another, yearns for another. Another she claims wholeheartedly as one half of her heart. Adam detests her. She doesn't know much about the world, but she knows resentment when sees it. Or that's what Lilith tells her.

Lilith and Lucifer are in accordance when they gift Eve an apple. They explain to her that this apple will give her a choice, a way out. She'll be able to escape Adam, and together, they will be free. To their credit, they keep their word on that. They're freed, alright.

She accepts their gift. She's never refused a gift from them, and she takes it blindly, not knowing the seed her serpent has sown into her womb. An extraordinarily fertile womb, she'll unfortunately discover. Her ignorance clouds her of the evils their love will unleash. Eve watches them fall. She's ripped from their arms. Their descent is eerily slow. It isn't instant or immediate. They keep their eyes on her, reciting, "We love you. You are loved. You are ours. We wanted you to be free. We wanted you." Oh how they dreamed so vividly! This is the horrors hiding beneath dreams. The reality they all avoid.

Her name haunts the garden. It's the last word they say before they're expelled into an abyss below. An abyss she'll never reach. Eve's memory is perfect, but she'll never describe the hatred in Lilith's eyes when Adam clasped a cold arm around her waist.

She pushes him, you know. The night they're dragged out. She's ready to leave Eden. There's no joy without them, but she resents she's saddled with him.

It isn't the hair that tells who Cain's real father is. He's a perfect blend of them. He accounts his hair to her but fails to see the wheat color of her own. His is light embedded into thread.

Adam knows and hates it. "I'll have others." It's a statement. There will be others. That's what God said.

And there are. Abel comes. Abel dies. Cain is cast out. And another replaces Abel, Seth. And then more and more.

So many children to populate the Earth, and she does so diligently, silently. She tries to push out the woman who gave her stars, and the snake who taught them it was okay to dream. She thinks of them and hates them.

Then Eve dies.

Then reality sinks, finally sinks when Adam's face is crowned behind a mask that mocks demons below. A lie. It's all a lie. Or someone's gotten it wrong. And she will see it undone. All of it undone.

So it may be born anew in Her image.

ok so YN and Abel first met in late 2016.

She was in a recording studio in LA after finishing up a session with another artist. On her way out, she saw fellow producer Ali Payami. Besides formally being in the most famous band to date, YN was getting more and more recognized for her producing skills.

So after extending a hand out to help the producer in need, she's then introduced to Abel. They vaguely knew each other from commercial success but they actually spent a good hour or so just talking and getting to know one another—she's a firm believer in getting to know the artist behind the music before working with them.

Conversation came easy and a friendship was effortlessly formed as they bonded over their love for music, producing, and knowing how to speak in different languages.

Not long after, she's shown the song he had been working on before he got stuck. And she goes back to her roots: harmonies.

With a suggestion and demonstration of harmonizing with his vocals in his verse:

When I get you moaning you know it's real Can you feel the pressure between your hips? I'll make it feel like the first time

she finds herself in the recording booth laying down vocals for her own verse and chorus for the song.

The two had so much fun making music together that over the next few years, they made three more songs together: Off The Table, Save Your Tears, and You Right.

Harry has only seen Abel a small hand full of times in person. The first time the two met was during the recording of Off The Table back in 2019.

Harry had just taken his keys out of the front door of YN's home to find the open space absent of her presence. He did get there an hour earlier than he initially told her for a nice surprise after she's had a long day in the studio working on her album.

He walks all around her house in search of her and doesn't spot her in her usual spots: living room, at home gym, her bedroom. Suspecting she still must be working, he takes the small walk to her connected guest house she converted into a home studio.

A fond smile tugs itself on his lips at the sound of her laughing but a crease quickly forms in between his eyebrows at the sound of another man's laugh. He knocks on the glass door before entering to find YN in front of the large studio panel with The Weeknd sitting on his own swivel chair beside her.

YN doesn't invite just anyone to her home studio. Aside from Harry and Lizzo, no other artist has recorded in her sacred space.

"Hey b-Harry," YN smiles at her secret boyfriend, pleasantly surprised to have him home earlier than expected.

"Oh shit," Abel laughs in disbelief with a fist in front of his smile. "You're Harry Styles."

"What the 'ell, you didn't seem that excited when yeh first met me," She playfully scoffs.

"You weren't as cool then," Abel teases, making her laugh and Harry's chest burn. Putting on his media-trained persona, Harry takes the artist's outreached hand in a firm handshake, "I'm Abel. Nice you, man."

"M'Harry," He smiles a closed-lipped smile and YN bites one back as she immediately sees through her love's front. "Sorry, am I interrupting something?" Harry asks, the skin on his arms beginning to tingle from not having her in them yet.

"Not at a—"

"Actually," She interrupts Abel and looks to Harry with an amused smile. "We were in the middle of something. If yeh don't mind waiting another half hour or so, we should be wrapping up soon," She advises, making it seem like Harry was there for a recording session rather than anything else.

It really takes everything in her to stifle her giggle at the sight of her boyfriend trying his hardest to keep his front up, knowing full well how much he wants her to be in his arms, pressing her lips to his so lovingly, and having a cuddle.

"Not at all," Harry nods when every fiber of his being is telling him to throw her over his shoulder and ditch the other artist who's taking up her time instead of being with him. "But do you mind if I talk with yeh for a quick sec?" He nods his head over to the other room.

He grows even more frustrated when she hums in contemplation before scrunching up her nose, "Can it wait? M'working."

Harry takes a glance at Abel who's sitting there completely oblivious, clearly not fighting against spending time in the studio with his close friend.

"Of course," He reassures with a smile that YN can quickly tell is forced. "Nice meeting you, Abel."

"Same here, man."

And with that, he's softly closing the glass door behind him when he really just wants to slam it shut.

He waits an hour and a half before Abel finally leaves. Once she comes back into her home after walking him out, she's quickly pressed up against her door by her boyfriend pressing his mouth feverishly to hers.

"Why are yeh laughing?" He asks against her mouth. "There's nothing funny."

"You," She holds onto his cheeks, pulling him back so she can finally get a breath in, "You're cute."

He's quickly attaching his mouth to her neck, pressing open-mouthed kisses at the spot her neck and shoulder meet and she hums happily. He makes his way back up her neck, her jawline, and back to her mouth.

"Missed you," He says, his hand already crawling and dipping into the front of her shorts to where she craves him. She gasps against his mouth, titling her back to thump against the door but since he towers over her, he keeps his lips ghosting over hers.

"I missed you," She pants as he keeps his body pressed against hers. She whimpers when she feels his fingers dip and curl up into her.

"You missed me?" He taunts, his hand only picking up speed. His dimples dig into his cheeks when she nods meekly, her hand quickly gripping onto his wrist. It's moments like these where he basks in the way that behind closed doors, he can make this headstrong, stubborn girl turn into putty in his hands. He even contemplates edging her, leaving her high and dry, and having her wait the same amount of time she did to him.

But the satisfaction of having her writing against him, panting and moaning his name, knowing exactly how to make her feel good, and knowing that he's the only one that can make her feel like this is just too perfect.

"Then show me," He bites at her bottom lip, his own eyebrows furrowing with passion as he watches her tip over the edge.

So needless to say, whenever she and Abel get together—whether it be through making music, meeting up through awards shows, or going to see one another at their shows—Harry gets undoubtedly possessive and jealous. He knows that bottom line, the two are good friends and that she's allowed to be close with people other than him, but he can't help it. Especially now that there's no more hiding and sneaking around since their relationship went unexpectedly public on New Years 2020.

And even after her six-year friendship with the other artist, he still can't shake off the uncomfortable twist in his stomach at the sight of them on stage. Especially her surprise Save Your Tears duet performance at the 2021 iHeart Music Awards.

There's no denying that she looks absolutely gorgeous when she comes out on stage in her plum-colored satin outfit, posing with a jut of her hip and singing so effortlessly as the crowd screams out in a mix of excitement and disbelief. The stage is truly her happy place and it shows as she performs; like everyone else watching, he's excaptivated by her.

So much so, that he almost misses the way that when she sings:

And you deserve someone better

Abel points to her and then himself.

So can he be blamed when he stays extra quiet when he meets her back in her dressing room?

"And it was just so cool to hear the crowd scream like that," YN giggles as she removes her necklaces to place on the vanity.

"You deserve it, lovie. It shouldn't come as a surprise at this point," He looks at her so fondly from his seat on the leather couch.

"I honestly wasn't expectin' that type of reaction but it was..." She takes a second glance through the mirror at her love. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to see how supportive Harry is to his girlfriend, being with her any way he can and exuding a love for her that is truly unmatched.

But it does take his best friend of 11 years to see that something is up.

She walks the short distance over to him and cups his jaw in her hands and has his gaze meet hers, "Hey."

"Hi," He muses.

"I love you, yeah? Not Abel, not some other musician, not anybody else. You."

Harry huffs out a laugh through his nose, slightly shaking his head in disbelief at how well she knows him. He gently takes a hold of her forearms and leans up to rub his nose against hers, "I love you."

And when he closes the gap between them to capture her lips with his, how can he even entertain the thought of her having eyes for anybody else?

So the Stark sent to his glass gardens and commanded that the most beautiful o’ the winter roses be plucked for the singer’s payment. And so it was done. But when morning come, the singer had vanished… and so had Lord Brandon’s maiden daughter. Her bed they found empty, but for the pale blue rose that Bael had left on the pillow where her head had lain.

Prince Rhaegar loved his Lady Lyanna, and thousands died for it.

The musicians began to play again, and the bard Abel began to sing "Two Hearts That Beat as One." Two of his women joined their voices to his own to make a sweet harmony.

If you want Mance Rayder back, come and get him. I have him in a cage for all the north to see, proof of your lies. The cage is cold, but I have made him a warm cloak from the skins of the six whores who came with him to Winterfell.

Joy and harmony did not reign long, y'all. Between Niall's hatred of Medb, Idun and Abel's hatred of each other, and Medb's masterful lack of tact, I had my work cut out here. (Niall and Leah really like each other - though what Nice Girl Leah sees in him is beyond me - but I think Medb is warning her off. Leah will grow to adult soon and we'll see how things shake out.) Niall's best contribution to the party score was going to bed, the only condition on which he'd stop picking fights with Medb.

I don’t understand the concept of Original Sin. It doesn’t make sense to me and even as a teenager I didn’t understand this concept (I’m an adult now). Can I still be a good Christian (I was raised Roman Catholic) even if I don’t believe in/agree with the concept of Original Sin? If accepting the concept of Original Sin is required for me to be a good Christian/Catholic, could you please help me understand it?

The concept of Original Sin is important in the Catholic faith. If we decide to start cherry picking what we want to choose to believe vs what God teaches us with while wanting to align with the Church’s teachings, it can become a dangerous path that invite us to start doubting more about God’s Word. Perhaps many of us don’t know what the Church officially says, because perhaps we were never taught. It’s ok- it’s time we learn. Let’s have a look..

“The Fall From Grace

"The second Creation story is in Genesis 2:4–3:24. This is the story of Adam and Eve and the Garden of Eden. Unlike the first Creation story, in the second story, man is created first, then all the animals, and finally woman. Like the first Creation story, it teaches that God gave us a spiritual soul by the symbolic action of breathing life into Adam (2:7). It also teaches that man and woman need each other to be complete (2:23), and that human beings are to cultivate and care for creation (2:15). But then it goes even further.

In the second Creation story, God places Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden. The Garden of Eden symbolizes the ideal relationship that God intended to have with human beings. In the garden there is no pain, no death, and no shame. Adam and Eve see God face-to-face. They are in a perfect state of holiness and justice. They are friends with God and from that friendship flows that happiness.

But then something terrible happened. Eve was tempted by a serpent to eat some fruit from the tree of knowledge of good and evil (3:1-6). God’s only command to Adam and Eve was to not eat from this tree (2:16-17). Eve gave the fruit to Adam, and he also ate it. They had disobeyed God and committed the first sin. They lost their trust in God and His goodness. The tree of knowledge of good and evil symbolizes the limits that human beings have as creatures. We must recognize those limits and accept them with trust. If we try to exceed those limits, we are in a sense setting ourselves against God, or at least we aren’t believing God’s word about what our limits are. This was Adam and Eve’s sin, which is sometimes simply called the fall.

Adam and Eve’s sin had immediate consequences. They knew the shame of having disobeyed God and tried to cover it up with a makeshift clothing and by hiding from God in the garden. They start the blame game: Adam blames Eve and Eve blames the serpent. God announces further consequences. Childbirth will be a painful experience. The relationship between men and women will be filled with tension and marked by domination (3:16). The earth will no longer freely give its bounty, so human beings will have to work hard at tilling the soil for their food (3:17-19). And finally, Adam and Eve and all their descendants will experience death, for “you are dust, / and to dust you shall return” (3:19).

Thus, Adam and Eve’s sin has consequences, not just for themselves but for all their descendants, which means all of us! The harmony that should exist between people, the harmony that should exist between human beings and nature, and the harmony that should exist between people and God has been wounded. The Catholic Church explains the impact of Adam and Eve’s sin in its teaching of original sin. Much of the Old Testament shows the continuing influence of sin, starting with the story of Cain killing Abel…” - The Catholic Faith Handbook For Youth, pages 51-53.

Because of man, creation is now subject “to its bondage and decay.” Finally, the consequence explicitly foretold for this disobedience will come true: man will “return to the ground,” for out of it he was taken. But we do know by Revelation that Adam had received original holiness and justice not for himself alone, but for all human nature. By yielding to the tempter, Adam and Eve committed a personal sin, but this sin affected the human nature that they would then transmit in a fallen state. Dr. Forest: alright.. let's start here..

( The "Elios" as told in ancient texts is said to be the creator good and evil, and the origin of the Angelios and Develios. The two species were once one people, living together in harmony. Until a group of these soon to be Develios rebelled against the high priests teachings and began to seek out power and strength, rather than have peace and tranquility. This group was then cast out from the state and were adorned the name of "Develios." So the rivalry began, decades passed and the develios people began to grow into a nation. They landed attacks on the Angelios people from the anger of being cast out. Things began to become tense in the high Angelios courts, acts of violence were frowned apon but now they had no choice. The disputes between the two species started out small, but soon grew to events over the centuries that inevitably led up to a large scale war. "The war for peace" as it was called- s' ending, was decided on terms of the develios generals and the angelios court. "As ruled by the high Court, and agreed to by develios generals. it is decided that our quarrel between our kinds shall end with this last battle.. A battle to make ends meet and decide peace between our kinds. We both are children of the Elios, and we will see to an end to our needless blood spill of our relatives.. may the Elios protect our soldiers, and guide your souls true." This decree launched the start of a year long ruthless war, the Angelios and Develios were not beings to die of natural causes in human sense.. as they could also live with the loss of a limb due to a regeneration property that varied by the individual. the only way to kill one is to slit one's throat or shatter the soul.. which was often shown as a heart shaped pattern on the chest. Unlike human souls, angelios and develios souls were something that could be touched, it was something that could be physically broken. It is not known what happens to the Individual once their soul is completely shattered, but it has been recorded that the body will--)
