could only express this in green text format, bear with me
> be me
> in english class
> some guy delivers a meandering nihilistic monologue about how we're all just apes and our only purpose is reproducing, eating, dying and rotting (direct quote) that only vaguely pertains to the question he's being asked
> turn around to look at him
> see his laptop
> it's covered in southpark stickers

the mh comics open up such an interesting narrative for our few surviving characters. to them, what happened in the videos was real, but to everyone else its a cool creative web series. when all of that is viewed as fiction, fans have a freedom to speculate about and invade the lives and privacy of real people. and that would be so uncomfortable and terrifying. imagine someone irl having headcanons about YOU. writing fan fiction about you and your real friends. assuming things about you PUBLICLY ! IN MASS!
wouldnt it be so cool to see a character grapple with that in like a self-reflective way? fans asking questions the muse is too afraid to ask themselves. of course, theyre the only person the answer matters to.

Reginald Marsh, Battery Park, ca. 1926. Oil on canvas.
"The Battery is one of Marsh's early oils, painted just after his three his three-year stint as a staff illustrator for the New York Daily News where he drew a daily column of theatrical sketches. At the time Marsh was involved in designing theatre curtains for 'The Greenwich Village Follies' and he had recently collaborated with the set designer Robert Edmund Jones on curtains and sets for the Provincetown players. These facts are brought to mind by the stage-like look of this canvas. …
Marsh's narrative skill is already apparent. He dramatically conveys the effect of the wind with the billowing smoke from the tug boats in the harbour and one of the women holding on to her hat in the breeze. The tallest of the men conversing is momentarily distracted by the appearance of the three women and he gazes in their direction. The bright sunny day is conveyed by the clear bright colors and the shadows cast by the figures."

During the second day of my current visit to San Diego, I snapped a few horizontal photographs at Balboa Park. After deciding that I spent long enough at Balboa Park, I headed back to the harbor and towards the hotel, staging more horizontal photographs. Yes, even the hotels are celebrating the big Comic-Con. Did you folks like today's photographs with the plush version of Arturo Reyes Pinguino? There should be plenty more through the weekend.
