cuban hope lupin and italian lyall lupin who travelled the world together before they had remus, learning languages and cultures and meeting people from everywhere.

and remus lupin who's never gone further than newport, half an hour away, constantly reading of the rest of the world. imagining being able to go there, to explore the world.

#if the war didn't happen and no one died then 100% all four marauders went around the world together for a year #james keeping in touch with his partners through letters and meeting them at some places they went (france and india) #im kinda planning where they'd go in my head. like so far im thinking: #iceland. quick stop in canada. right down america stopping at like las vegas maybe. then to cuba for remus to meet his mum's family. #probably staying there for like 2/3 weeks maybe. #then to nigeria. maybe spend a little time in egypt. then up to greece. then romania. then to india where they stay #for about 3 weeks. and lily and regulus meet them there to visit james' family #they go to thailand. malaysia. and down to australia. then back up to japan then south korea. #then to russia. sweden. through germany to italy. they stay in italy for about 2 weeks for remus' grandparents. #marlene and dorcas would meet them in italy since marlene has a italian heritage and hasn't gone to italy since she was a kid so misses it #then over to france where lily and regulus and mary meet them all. mary marlene and dorcas leave after a day or so #to go to the isle of wight to spend a few weeks with mary's sister and her girlfriend #the others stay in france for about a week. regulus and sirius being very obnoxious and showing off ofc. #lily and regulus go home and the marauders go to ibiza for about a week before finishing and going back to britian (boo! britian sucks!) #anyway. rambling about this hc. #marauders era #marauders #remus lupin #hope lupin #lyall lupin #lyall&remus april fest #l&r april fest

#like. y the last man (hulu version) had trans men among the survivors - which #even if they could have been folded into the narrative a BIT more seamlessly when strangers singled out yorick as a rare sight to see #- basically felt like an accurate reflection of the world we live in #i also am inclined to give y the last man more leniency bc the showrunner had said she had ideas to integrate trans women as well in s2 #and also because they spelled out the science more clearly. as strictly a chromosonal thing #and ALSO because idk. just. in vibes. y the last man wasn't fucking at all with the idea of essentialism or the idea that #the Event might be in any way a feminist stroke of luck #but the power is kinda playing with fire (heh) here bc #in the early stages it is seen by many characters as a chance for women to finally have... you know.. #power #so it feels like... a miss that the show treats it as an awesome thing that all women and only women happen to have #i kinda think this plot sucks and i hated the book and i'm not surprised that the show maintains the whole like #''what if girl power but then girls were also bad?????'' lame ass attempted logical gotcha #i mean the book lost me when it had a scene where a group of young women at a rally in nigeria #gangraped the only male character who was a sort of feminist in progress #i'm just not buying what this show is selling i fear #ugh. i miss y the last man (hulu version) bring back y the last man!!

As a former AP Comparative Government student, every few months I keep thinking "dang, must be a wild time to be taking that class now."

#obv the test doesnt include anything extremely current bc they take time to make but you can use current events in essays so teachers shoul #absolutely teach what is happening now #you learn about 6 countries in that class. russia china uk iran nigeria & mexico #russia invaded ukraine. protests across china after covid regulations killed ppl. protests in iran for equal rights. #if anything crazy has happened in nigeria or mexico let me know bc part of me kinda wants the full set to make for a crazy year for those #students. but like also no i dont want bad things to happen in mexico & nigeria #ap comparative government #*uk cant keep a prime minister forgot to sah that one

watching sex education and im at the part where it's like getting really into eric's christianity and im just. i feel like on the one hand ok in his case it's not TOTALLY bland & it is somewhat interesting but on the other hand? i srsly cannot watch another show decide christianity's only problem is homophobia and These Gay Teenagers Found Acceptance At Their Church isn't that sweet problem solved let's wrap up and move on. like idk maybe they'll prove me wrong and actually do something interesting but im sick sick sick

#i do hope at some point in the show they actually talk abt what specifically black christianity means to him #bc it is obviously A Thing for him. he goes to an african church & has a painting of black jesus above his bed he talks abt black jesus all #the time #& now he's friends w a white girl christian i want to see them do something interesting w it beyond just using the aesthetics #if he could talk abt how christianity came to north africa & nigeria specifically & if he cares abt that or not & why that would go so hard #LOL that will not happen though #also there isn't a single other religion in the show.. olivia's family gives us a tiny flash of another culture for a few minutes in one #other episode but that's it #im banking on u eric ur my fave don't let me down.
