(kxllerclaws) It may be a little late, but a bunch of packages have appeared at Luna’s doorstep to be enjoyed by everyone addressed!
In the first box was a variety of baked goods for anyone to enjoy, both gingerbread cookies in holiday shapes plus a bunch of red velvet cupcakes with glittery red sprinkles on top, all made by Hanyoko herself.
For Luna herself, there were very round mittens meant to go with the hat gifted last year. They might be a little wide, but the maker was not sure how big to make them fit her nubs. Plus, there were cat-safe vegetable seeds and a plush blue blanket with a cloud pattern on it to keep warm on colder days.
Addressed to Gremlin were some really bad horror movies, including Birdemic of all things. ‘Sometimes we could use a good laugh – Chimizo’ was what a sticky note attached to them said. There were also warmers which appeared to be meant for his horns, plus some sculpting tools to help with his hobby.
And last but not least, Reverie was also given an assortment of things. There were a few cushions, one big enough for him and two smaller ones, some boots to match the vest he was given last year, and a brush which would be safe to use on his feathers. ‘From one pro to the other >uo – Cherish’ was what the note attached to it said.
The main note said, ‘Happy Holidays! Let’s have a great new year. With love, Chimizo, Hanyoko, Kenjin, Marley, and Cherish’
Seeing a set of packages arrive from the Minetts had the whole group excited as they brought them into the tree house to look through. Both Gremlin and Reverie placed on their disguises the moment they got a look at the desserts Hanyoko had made them. The whole group enjoyed a treat as they opened their gifts.
Luna slipped on the mittens, finding they were a little big, but still plenty comfortable. "Awwww!! These must be homemade! How sweet! I adore all of these." She exclaimed, wrapping the blanket around herself. Having a source of fresh food was also sincerely appreciated, especially when she was sure it wouldn't hurt her cats if they got into it. "I'll be making use of them, for sure. What about you two?"
"My turn!" Gremlin opened up his own package, pulling out the movies and the horn warmers. He laughed. "Oh my god, we have to watch these! You'll love 'em, I promise. And god, these things." Holding the horn warmers up, he chuckled. "Hilarious! ...though, actually, I wonder if they don't realize they aren't attached to my head." As he approached the last gift, he quieted down. Though he said nothing aloud, it was clear it meant a lot to him. He'd make even better pieces with these.
"Guess I'm last, then." Reverie chuckled, looking at his things. He lifted out the brush and read the letter to go with it. "Aww. Well, she would know if these were good." He'd be sure to try it out as soon as he took of his disguise. "And the boots, well... I can wear 'em with the disguise! Sucks my sandals don't come off." He sighed. Gremlin spoke up. "That's still weird." "Shut up." He snapped back.
Finally, he looked over the cushions. One for him, one for Orbee, one for... His eyes started to tear up. Gremlin's smile faded. "Wh-whoa, you ok, man? What's wrong??" Reverie rubbed at his eyes. "S-sorry, I just... they remembered her. That, makes me really happy." He replied, rubbing at his eyes. Noticing the cushions, both his children looked them over. Orbee settled into theirs immediately, liking how soft it was. Beep stared at it for a moment, turning to him. "It's, for me? Actually?" She asked. He nodded. "Yeah, it's all yours." After a moment more of hesitation, the matterling settled in to it. This was good. What thoughtful friends they had.
