Tagged by @callipigio! There are so so many ways I could do this - I’m one of those people who has music playing all day like a soundtrack to my life - but in keeping with this blog’s theme I’m going to pick five of my favorites from drama soundtracks. For extra fun I’ll limit myself to one per country.

This is an OST from Itaewon Class - a kdrama whose OST far outshines the actual show. It’s V from BTS, it’s gorgeous, if I’d been listening to this on cassette I would have worn out the tape.

This one is from Gaya Sa Palikula, a pinoy bl. The whole soundtrack for this show is awesome, but this is probably my most repeated track.

As a rule I am not wowed by OSTs from thai bls but this one from I Promised You the Moon is easily my favorite. It’s pretty, it’s thematically resonant, it makes me want to cry a little every time I hear it.

This is from a jdrama called An Incurable Case of Love, an adorable little romcom featuring a sunshine character absolutely wrecking a grump’s hard-earned cynicism. This song feels like the musical manifestation of her character and it always makes me smile.

And to round us out, here’s one from History 4. This one just has a good walking tempo and a nice chill vibe, so it’s on a lot of my playlists.

This is just MuRen at his softest and at his most loving. He's so in love and so shocked and disbelieving that this is real. But he wants it so much, he needs this moment, he needs this chance LiChen gives him to quietly agree and to be together and to just... remember that this is real.

Because when he realizes that this is all real, when he realizes that every bit of his memory is true... he melts. He absolutely melts and just turns into the tiniest little happy boy.

This is all he's wanted. This is all he never thought he'd have. And then to have LiChen gently wake him up, to have him ask all the soft question, to offer all the care and comfort...

MuRen is floating through this moment, so happy, so loved, so filled with disbelief and joy... He can barely speak, even when he does. Silence is easier.
