और सरें कबी तो यही लिखते हैं अपने प्यार के लिए

मुझे ये सबकी कहाँ समझ है।

सिर्फ़ इनहि चीजों को प्यार ठोरि कहते है

ये सरें तो महसूस करने की चीजें है

शायद तुम इन चीजों को उस नज़र से नहीं देखते

इसमें कौनसी बड़ी बात है

तुम मेरे लिए पत्र लिखते हो

तुम्हें मेरी चोटी चोटी बातों का ख़याल रहता है

में जब भी आटी हूँ तुम मेरे लिए

मेरी पसंदीदा बरेली की बर्फ़ी लेके आते हो

हम घंटो यहाँ बैठ कर बातें करते हैं

फिर शाम की चाई सुकून से साथ पीते हैं

और हम जब दूर होते है तो एक दूसरे को याद करते है

क्या यही प्यार नहीं?

हमारी इन छोटी छोटी बातों में?
