Sirius nodded vehemently—fuck yes, he did, what kind of fucking question was that? He said as much, gave a breathy little “yeah,” that almost caught on the way out and stood transfixed, watched as Remus’ eyes went a little darker. He tilted his chin up a bit when he felt Remus' hand loop at the base of his neck, thumb settling at the hollow of his throat.

“If you come back with me, that’s it,” Remus warned. “No leaving, no taking it back—if you come home with me, I need you to stay.”

April chose just that second to climb down the ladder into the lair, muttering about Cass cutting ahead and leaving her behind, huffing and puffing as she went. She spotted Cerul and stopped, slowly walking towards him.

Guess it was clear on his face.

…maybe that was a good thing.

“You good, big guy?” April asked, brow knitted.

Cerulean paused, thinking for a moment.

He could lie. Say, yeah I’m fine, nothing’s wrong, I’ll be fine.

And he was. But that wasn’t the whole truth.

Maybe…maybe it was best to say what he could when he could. Let the people around him know how he was actually feeling, especially about all of this.

“Don’t hide,” Blue had muttered, soft and careful, like he was doing everything he could to hold Cerul in his hands despite being half his size. “I’m here. Let it out, Diamond.”
