London Fashion Week designer research
Hanna Fiedler is a London based women’s wear brand born of the desire to equip women with a wardrobe of timeless and effortless pieces in which they feel free, powerful and comfortable. With an emphasis on tailoring and quality, Hanna Fiedler´s lines feature all natural fabrics including organic cotton, linen, silk and wool. Working with a network of small-scale manufacturers across London and using traditional tailoring methods, Hanna Fiedler creates high-quality, sustainable garments with a modern, minimalist aesthetic whilst upholding British Craftsmanship. Hanna Fiedler has been awarded the Eco-Age brand mark and is dedicated to its sustainability strategy aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals around Planet, People and Product. I decided to include this designers work in my final major project research because i think that it relates strongly to the aesthetics of the conscious clarity trend like minimalism and also links strongly to the meanings behind the conscious clarity trend like sustainability. It links to sub trends like the new standard and prim and proper through the designers use of tailoring and feminine shapes.

HANNA FIEDLER has been awarded the Eco-Age brand mark and is dedicated to its sustainability strategy aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals around Planet, People and Product.
THE DESIGNER
Hanna F. Fiedler was born in Germany and grew up in the Bavarian countryside. She trained as a traditional bespoke tailor at the Berlin Opera Foundation before moving to London to study design and pattern cutting. The appreciation for craftsmanship and quality nurtured during her tailoring years has a great impact on her approach to design. Before starting her namesake label, Hanna worked with Gabriela Hearst and McQ Alexander McQueen.
SUSTAINABILITY
They understand sustainability as a journey of education and respect towards the people and the planet. With that guiding principle at the core of their label, we are constantly striving to improve and find solutions that allow HANNA FIEDLER to be a more responsible brand with a positive impact on the fashion industry.
They select high-end environmentally-friendly materials that last beyond seasons. They only work with natural fibres, such as organic cotton, silk, and wool. All fabrics are sourced from European-based mills, which together with their local production, allows them to minimise their carbon footprint.
ECO-AGE BRANDMARK AWARD
In October 2019, the brand was awarded the Eco-Age Brandmark in recognition of designing exclusively with natural materials, celebrating domestic production through working with local London manufacturers, addressing waste through reusing materials, as well as initiating garment repair and take-back schemes.
I have chose to look at the Brand Hannah Fielder because I feel firstly, they support sustainability what I wanted to look into with body confidence and also also relating to my Trend Conscious Clarity. I love how their colour pallets are very minimal which contains the Conscious Clarity colour palette. I also love the location of the sheet because they relate to the colours, I like how how the background is ribbed so there are lots of different patters and textures. This brand will inspired by for my shoots aswell.
