Robin Buckley x reader

Robin just hated the way you talked, the way you styled your hair, the way you dressed, the smell of the sweet perfume you always use, and just you in general. But her buddy soon makes her notice that what she feels, isn't hate.

Robin hated you.

She had many reasons, a list that could possibly go on.

But what she most hated about you was the way you dressed, the way you sang her favorite song, the way you say good morning to her, the way your hair looked, the way you'd style it, your funny looking earrings, the way you hid your face whenever you get embarrassed about something, and so on.

She hated everything about you. You were just so annoying. Her stomach would feel weird whenever you were around her and she hated that feeling. She hated that you'd walk through the door of Family Video just to clock in.

She hated how you'd make a small joke about something so random and it actually got a small chuckle out of her.

And now, here she is, looking at the doors of Family Video, to see if you'll come to work or not. "I hope she isn't here."

"You do hope she is here." Steve says as he restocks the Movies that were brought back. "I do not. I hate her." Robin says as she keeps looking at the door. "Why do you always say you hate her?"

"I just do!" She yells. "[Name] is just really annoying." Steve chuckled and shook his head. "Yeah sure."

And the door is opened by no other than the person that Robin hates. "Good morning, Robin." You say as you walk by to clock in. "Good morning." She says, annoyed. You walk back and drop your bag on a corner. "Good morning, Steve."

"Good morning, [Last]." He says and stocks the last movie. Robin looks at you and sees you are wearing your favorite shirt, the [F/Color] shirt with a small flower in the middle. You put on the jacket of Family Video and left it open. "Aren't you going to button that up?" Robin asks.

"Nah, no one is in right now. Plus, it looks way better like this, right?" You say as you did a lil spin to show off your outfit. Robin chuckled and rolled her eyes. "Also, I brought you a sandwich because I see you don't bring any lunch." You say and went to your bag to get the lunch out.

She mostly hated how you were so kind to her, and only her. "You didn't have to." Robin says as you hand her the plastic wrapped sandwich. "Please." You begged as you pushed it on to her.

She sighs, finally giving in and taking the sandwich. She puts it in her backpack for later. She looked over at you and saw you had a bracelet you probably made. God, she hated those. Robin looked at her wrist and looked at the blue bracelet you made her.

The doorbell goes off, making you walk up to the register and greet the customer. God, she hated how your voice suddenly got high pitched just to make people feel more welcomed. She walks over to Steve and she whispers. "I hate how she has to do that voice."

"Stop saying that." He whispered back with a smile. "And they way she dressed today too." Robin says as she sees you walk to find the movie the customer wanted. "Also how she still wears our matching bracelets."

"You are literally wearing it too."

"What, it matches with my outfit." She says and Steve checks her outfit. "Most definitely does not." She just groans and leans on to the table. "I also hate her hair today. Doesn't look good."

"Thought you loved her hair." Steve says as he crosses his arms. "Well, that was one time I said I liked her hair."

"It was not. You told me so yesterday that you-"

"Okay! Okay! So what if I did?" Robin yells and then turns to see you looking at her. You giggled and waved at her. She smiled and waved back. She then turns back to Steve. "Yeah, you sure do hate them." He says and helps the next customer.

The next day, you were way later than what you were supposed to be. Robin kept staring at the door to see if you would walk in and greet her. But it was 12 and she knew you weren't coming to work.

"Why isn't [Name] here today?" She asks Steve. Steve was eating his lunch and covered his mouth while saying, "She is sick."

"Sick?" Steve nods and hands her a wrapped sandwich. "She told me to give you this." She held the sandwich and unwrapped it. She took a bite out of it and sighs. Why is it that whenever you give her food you make, it ends up being good. Even if it is cereal or a sandwich.

Heck, even water at your place taste way better then at another's persons house water.

"Why didn't she tell me?" She asks. "How come she told you and not me?"

"Because she heard you say you hate her." Steve says as he throws away his trash. "But she said she still loves you even if you hate her."

"God! That is what I hate about her!" Robin yells. "She is always so nice to me! " Steve looks at her and is ready to listen to her rambling. "I hate how she uses that stupid sweet smelling perfume when she fully knows well that I love that smell! I hate how she dresses and how she does a little spin to show off her outfits, I hate how she sings my, and I repeat, my favorite songs!" Robin yells as she feels her ears get hot. Steve grins as he knew why she even hates her so much.

"I also hate how she still wears a stupid bracelet we made together at a movie night at her place, also how she giggles at me or at whatever I do, when I ramble to her and she doesn't even intrupt." Robin stops, catching her breath. "And what I mostly hate about her is how she makes me feel these stupid feelings. Like, I enjoy her being here and how my stomach likes to make me feel funny."

"Wow, okay, I think that's enough."

"The list goes on Harrington." She says. "I know that. But please, don't continue. I think that's enough. I understand already."

"What do you understand?"

"You like her." Robin gives him a puzzled look and chuckles. "I don't think you heard me. I literally said "I hate" in everything I just said to you."

"Yes, and you don't want to admit you are falling for [Name] [last]." Steve says as he sees a person walk towards Family video. "You like her so much you don't want to admit you like her so you just say you hate her." He says and greets the beautiful customer. "Babe, make sure to get two movies!" A guy yells and the beautiful girl smiles. "Yeah!" Steve sighs as he sees the girl is already in a relationship.

Guess next time for Harrington.

Robin is still processing everything Steve told her.

Then everything clicked.

"Oh shit…" She whispered as she finally understood. She finally understood her feelings.

Robin didn't hate you. She loves you.

She loves how you dress, the way you say good morning to her, the way your hair looks, the way you style it, your funny earrings, and the way you hide your face whenever you get embarrassed whenever SHE makes a joke or flirst with you.

The way you talk to customers to make them feel welcomed, and most of all, she loves that you are so kind to her and only her.

She loves everything about you.

And she felt her stomach tingling again just by the thought of you. 'God, what have you done to me [Name].'

You drank your warm cuo of coffee as you watched TV. Your mom was working and told you to take the day off as she heard you all night coughing, nose sniffing, and you shuffling in your bed. So you called and took the day off

You remembered the conversation that Robin and Steve had yesterday and you couldn't help but chuckle. Robin was blushing while she talked about you.

"She's so cute." You say to yourself. You finally had enough of your TV and turned it off. You walked upstairs to your room and lay down on your bed. You start to feel your eyelids get heavy. Finally, you are going to get your 3 hours of sleep you had lost while shuffling in your bed at night.

Your eyes finally close but quickly go wide as you hear taps on your window. You groan and sit up. You rubbed your eyes and hear the tapping again. You thought it was probably kids throwing rocks at your windows for fun. But you hear your name being yelled.

You immediately get up, feeling a bit dizzy. You opened the window and saw the brown haired girl. "HEY! [NAME]! UM, IM GOING IN!" She says a She starts climbing up the latter you put for her. You were about to tell her to stop but she was already at the middle.

She soon got to your window and jumps in. She pants and smiles at you. "Hey!"

"Hello?" You say and sit down on your bed. "What brings Robin Buckley to my house today?"

"I don't hate you." She says.

"I know you don't-"

"No! You will hear me out! Okay?" You just nod and she sits next to you. "I hate you so much that it's so painful." She says. Your heart probably broke a little after you heard her say that. "W-What?"

"Hey! Let me speak!" You nod and listen. "I hate you so much because I love you." Your heart healed and you let out a sigh of relief. "I love you so much. I love how you are so kind to me and make me stupid sandwiches that state so good when they are from you." She says. "I love how you sing and talk. I love the outfit you wore yesterday too!" She says and then holds your hand up. "And I love that you still wear my shitty attempt of a bracelet." She says and then laughs at herself.

"I was so confused and now I see how in love I am with you [Name]." She says and drops your hand. You look at her and Robin gives you a puzzled look. "So…?"

"Robin." You say, seriously. Oh shit, she fucked up. She ruined your friendship. She started to shake and she looks down. "You never fucking shut up do you?" Robin looks up at you, offended. "What?"

"I love you too! Did you just now see the stupid fucking signs!"

"What signs?" You laughed and say, "I wear your favorite perfume, I sing your favorite songs, I still wear your shitty bracelet-"

"Hey, don't call my bracelet shitty." She says and you giggled. "And I do a little spin just so you can, and probably, check me out." Robin feels her face get hot as she looked away. "So I can check you out?"

"Yes, Robin." She chuckled and says, "I probably do. Who knows."

"Oh I know you do." You say and she holds your hand. Robin cups your cheeks and kisses your forehead, then your nose and soon your lips. You smiled in the kiss and wrapped your arms around her. She smiles and pulls away.

"So does that mean you still hate me?"

"Pffft- oh yeah, most definitely I do." She says and you giggled. "I do very much." She whispered and kissed you agaim You pushed her away as you remembered something. "I'm sick!"

"Oh shit. Oh no!" Robin gets up and walks away from you. "I completely forgot! Oh my god, I have to work tomorrow! God, I hate being sick!" She panics and you go to grab your medicine. You hand it to her and she fills the cup. She drinks it down and does a disgusted face. "God this taste like shit." She says and you just laugh at her.

You walked in to Family Video and clocked in. "Good morning Harrington." You say and put your bag in a corner. "Have you seen Robin?" Steve asks. "She's sick." You say as you restock the brought in movies.

"She got sick? How?"

"I don't know." You shrugged and placed in the movies. "Did she go over to your place or something?"

"Did you know that Robin hates kisses?" You asked while you were smiling.

"Kisses? What- Oh! No way!!"

So this au starts around season one-ish and the background plot is p much the same except it's not rly relevant since it's about the foster ducklings and not medicine and it's sped up a bit so it's not over the course of years. Except the season two finale, when that guy shoots House.

This is where the timeline starts to diverge, bc Chase, Thirteen, and Kutner are visiting in the office when the gunman shows up. Somehow (still working on it) they manage to get the gun away from the guy before House is shot. And bc House is never shot, his leg never gets temporarily better, and his addiction doesn't get as bad as it did in season 3 since he isn't afraid of the pain coming back bc it never left.

And then in season three, Tritter comes sniffing around and he's still a major asshole and Wilson doesn't make his deal with the devil bc House isn't spiralling like he was in the canon timeline and also Wilson doesn't want House to lose his kids, but House and Wilson still fight about the faking prescriptions part. This does all culminate in House still having his overdose except, you guessed it, the kids find House choking on his own vomit instead of Wilson finding him.

So House ends up in the hospital, and has this like. Hopeless realization that he's not good for the kids and he should let them go. So he agrees to let them be removed and it's fuckin devastating bc the kids loved and trusted him and he overdosed on his drugs and sent them away and now they're being split up and it's all super emotional.

And House is his bitter self for awhile until Cuddy talks some sense into him about fixing his own damn problems for once. So House basically speedruns his sobriety arc from the later seasons and petitions and fights and bitches until he gets the chance to get his kids back. But only if they want to come back.

And House is like well I'm fucked they're not gonna want anything to do with me. And he's right that they're pissed at him. Chase watched his mother drink herself to death, Thirteen's dad put her in foster care and she lost contact with her brother, and Kutner of course saw his parents die in front of him. So the incident was super triggering for all of them. And worse than that, he left them. He sent them away with no warning and barely a goodbye.

But they love the cranky old fuck. And that doesn't just go away. And they somehow believe him when he says he's sorry and wants to try again. So they agree to come home, even Chase who's 18 now and a legal adult with his trust fund his parents left and could tell House to fuck off. They all move back in and it isn't always smooth sailing, but they're family and that's what matters the most.
