I need Azriel to have a confessional moment with Gwyn, similar to Rhys with Feyre in the cabin. Doesn’t need to lead to a chapter 55 moment (I actually prefer if it doesn’t lead to anything physical so it doesn’t distract from the tenderness of the confession, and the last thing Az needs is getting physical too soon with his mate, boy needs the inner work to happen first), but more than anything he needs someone he will trust on that level, where he’s unfiltered and uncensored. He’s not even like that with his friends of centuries, he shuts down even with his closest people.

I need it so I can hug my box of tissues with snot running down my chin and vision blurred by tears while reading it.

I need Gwyn to take his face into her hands, stare at his face until he meets her eyes, and say “you’re enough. You’re good. You are exactly what you ought to be and exactly who I want, and I’ll always remind you in case you forget. I’ll also kick your ass in the process” with a wide grin at the last.

Amid tears. Azriel grasps her hands still on his face and smiles. “It would be my pleasure to have my ass kicked by you everyday. Just be here everyday.”

House of wind gang plus one bed trope

All five of them were on a mission together but the lodging only has one bed. They were conflicted who will get the bed and who will sleep on the floor.

How do they deal with it?

They play a silly game of never have i ever plus drinking game. Whoever gets drunk last gets the bed.

Azriel and Gwyn went into their competitive mode right away. Nesta gave up first and accepted her fate to sleep on the floor and she was followed by Emerie. Cassian gave up after 2 and a half bottles due to exhaustion.

It took an hour before Gwyn passed out on her seat. Azriel sighed upon staring at her peaceful face before getting up and carrying her and placing her on the bed. Technically, it was Azriel who won their silly little game and have full rights on the bed but their rules never stated what he can or he cannot do.

Cassian shuffled from his place on the floor and saw Azriel.

Cassian: Tell me, Azriel. Did you make sure you win that stupid game for Gwyn?

Azriel: Yes. So what? You know I don’t sleep on during a mission.

Maybe a silly question

i am like so sure of a Gwynriel endgame at this point, but what I don't know is, how are we acting as a gwynriel collective when the book comes out, after our own squealing and excitement is done? Most of the opposition will be raging and look... I wouldn't mind if I honestly didn't see the most nasty, hubris filled, wildly condescending posts about how we're delusional nearly everyday for years. What to do? Probably for the best to be the bigger person right?

I don’t subscribe to the black cat/golden retriever mentality for Gwynriel simply because:

Azriel = black cat.

Gwyn = orange cat.

Look me in the eyes and tell me she wouldn’t knock shit off his desk just for the hell of it and give him a “what are you going to do about it?” look when she wants to play.

She’s stealing his favorite daggers and hiding them from him. Azriel knows where they all are but he pretends not to because she tried so hard and she’s so cute when she thinks she has the upper hand.

One second she’s all cuddly baby and the next she unexpectedly has him pinned and is nipping at his ear. Azriel definitely enjoys the turn of events.

Does she have the zoomies in the middle of the night? Yes, and Azriel has to go looking for her and the Shadows when it’s suspiciously quiet to make sure they’re not accidentally setting anything on fire. He’s definitely not jealous he wasn’t included, what are you talking about?
