Last of the Kazinian creatures! Both of them are technically real insects but I've fantasied up the green lacewing. Real lacewings are about the size of ants and lay their eggs at the tip of this length of stiff silk that hangs under a leaf. Mine are the size of a decent-sized moth and they wrap their eggs in very fine silk about 5m long, and this is where Kazin gets their silk from. The hanging thread is still fairly stiff, which makes it nice and easy to hold onto and unravel. Silk worms are not a thing purely because I could find Australian native alternatives then just fantasy them up a notch.
Green ants are unchanged from the real ones. They taste citrusy and Kazin uses them to flavour drinks or sweets.

Hey guys! Some of you may have seen me posting a link to my GoFundMe. In addition to that, I figured I’d try my hand at selling some bullshit I’ve made.
I don’t have an Etsy or anything like that yet. So if you wanna buy one (or 20) of these bad boys, shoot me a message on here and I’ll give you my venmo and get your shipping info. $5 flat with free shipping. All proceeds will go to the same thing as my GoFundMe- to help me pay for chapter 7 bankruptcy so I can get a fresh start and finally work towards opening my home to adults with disabilities.
You can get these in basically any color or finish (glossy or matte). I have a huge supply of vinyl I’ve collected over the years. So just let me know which design, what color and what finish you’d like. I’ll have more designs coming soon. If you have something custom you’d like as a vinyl sticker in this same vein, just hit me up and I’ll take a look and more thank likely will be able to make it for you!
If you can’t or don’t want to buy one, I’d still greatly appreciate if you’d share this post!

truly cannot overstate how important it is for everyone to do research into local insect species and just try to notice them when you go outside. there are beautiful metallic blue mud dauber wasps where i live and they’re common in the summer but i just never noticed them until this past year. there are so many dragonflies at the local park. in one walk this june i found ebony jewelwing damselflies and an enormous stinkbug and an emerald-coloured tiger beetle and there is honest to god so much beauty in the insect world if you are willing to look for it
