Loon's Call
There is no mention of means in memorial
Of the gun
Of the click
Of the window
Who cleans the car?
I do not grieve in the graveyard I
Watch from the steps of the
Church with shitty pews
As they progress towards a
Somber climax
I do not grieve I do not
See a lifetime just
The abyss in her voice
When she saw me she
Gutteral so
Animal this
"He left me, Michael
He left me"
The groove of the words
From a mother's tongue
Are etched in a spiral
To cochlea my
Heart drops the needle
When my heads low and slow
Grief crosses every border it
Stains the view
It pulls the ozone to the ground
I was undone and am left stumbling

Ever heard of Graveyard Loon? He seems to be an evil fellow, and he’s also an artist of some sort. Lately he’s been doing things with lego though.
I have not, maybe I ought to find this fellow.

Hi clarity
How do you prefer to start scenes? With dialogue, or emotion, or action, or description, or a secret option?
Hi SlLeepy!!!
I prefer to sit down at my computer and start the scenes by typing. 😁😁
*cough*
It really depends on the mood. Both the one the scene needs and the one I'm in, lol
Really, it depends on who's talking and what they're like.
Rod likes to present as a goofy loon who likes to talk but is always Doing Something, and most of Abracadabra's scenes will start out with some kind of dialogue, but it's hitched to an action or emotion. Kashi is incredibly withdrawn and observant while also always needing to move by nature of the narrative and her past, so Halfblood has a lot of emotional scene starters that's usually either followed with action or paired up with a description. Brine is observant to the point of paranoia and extremely emotional, and so Graveyard Song wound up being a lot of scenes starting with description anchored to emotion or action.
So...I guess it's a secret option? I start the scene with whichever oc happens to be front and center and let them take it from there, lol
Thanks for the ask! 😁

On September 1st 1863 the Angus poet Violet Jacob, author of “The Wild Geese” was born at the House of Dun near Montrose.
Her full name, take a deep breath, was Violet Augusta Mary Frederica Kennedy-Erskine, known for her novels of Scottish history and her poetry written in the rich dialect of Angus, Violet was born into an aristocratic family, and lived her adult life as an officer’s wife in England and abroad, the majority of her work however was from around Montrose, and Dun, the seat of her Family.
Perhaps here most famous work is the poem The Wild Geese a sad poem of longing for home, Violet is honoured at Makars Court just off the Lawnmarket, Royal mile with the line from the poem below “There’s muckle lyin’ ‘yont the Tay that’s mair to me nor life.”
Violet Jacob was described by a fellow Scottish poet Hugh MacDiarmid as “the most considerable of contemporary vernacular poets”.
She died of heart disease on 9th September 1946 and was buried beside her husband at the graveyard at Dun kirk.
There are many versions of this online but the best by far is by the late Dundee folk singer  Jim Reid, please if you are going to listen to and watch one wee video today, make it this one, it’s only 3 minutes of your day and it’s worth it just for the spoken intro, rarely will you hear an Angus accent so rich. The song isnae twa bad either.
Norlan’ Wind (The Wild Geese)
This sad poem of longing for home, by Angus poet Violet Jacob, was set to music and popularised by Angus singer and songmaker Jim Reid.
Oh tell me what was on your road, ye roarin’ norlan’ Wind, As ye cam’ blawin’ frae the land that’s niver frae my mind? My feet they traivel England, but I’m deein’ for the north. My man, I heard the siller tides rin up the Firth o Forth”
Aye, Wind, I ken them weel eneuch, and fine they fa’ and rise, And fain I’d feel the creepin’ mist on yonder shore that lies, But tell me, ere ye passed them by, what saw ye on the way? My man, I rocked the rovin’ gulls that sail abune the Tay.
But saw ye naething, leein’ Wind, afore ye cam’ to Fife? There’s muckle lyin’ ‘yont the Tay that’s mair to me nor life. My man, I swept the Angus braes ye ha’ena trod for years. O Wind, forgi’e a hameless loon that canna see for tears!
And far abune the Angus straths I saw the wild geese flee, A lang, lang skein o’ beatin’ wings wi’ their heids towards the sea, And aye their cryin’ voices trailed ahint them on the air – O Wind, hae maircy, haud yer whisht, for I daurna listen mair!
The lyric is a conversation between the poet and the North Wind.

After several rounds of elimination played with myself, I think I have convinced myself out of ten of the possible projects down to four legit contenders for NaNoWriMo next month.
The Luna & Bacall Supernatural Detective Agency
The Fairies' Graveyard
The Count of Earth
Goal-Go!
They're all fairly different projects.
The Luna & Bacall Supernatural Detective Agency is fairly straight forward Urban Fantasy. Fairly silly people in terrible situations. It's essentially a fish out of water story with the least qualified detectives imaginable dealing with the worst sort of criminals imaginable and just sort of bumbling through in spite of the fact that they would have been dead in chapter 2 if it was an even vaguely realistic story. It has the advantage that I've already written some of it, and I expect it will be the most 'ridiculous fun' of the choices. Luna (Loon) Khonsu and Rebecca (Betch) Bacall the bff MCs are ridiculous. They have no place in a serious story and they're just going to plow through it until the story they're in stops being serious.
The Fairies' Graveyard is a very not straight forward. It's still fantasy but it is a novel-in-stories. A bunch of interrelated short stories (which is its real appeal to me because I want to learn the art of the short story) that convey a greater whole between them, sort of like Futureland: Nine Stories of an Imminent World by Walter Mosley. It's thread is an alternate 'history' where Fae survivors of a massive catastrophe have to figure out how to live in permanent exile in the human world. It also has the advantage that I've already written some of it and I'm very interested in the literary 'fuck you' that makes up a decent portion of the connective cores of the whole. Unfortunately it is also the grimmest of the choices. While I do (currently) think it has a happy ending, it isn't meant to be a light or easy read. I don't particularly expect it to be fun or comfortable. The only funny thing is that it actually started life as a porno-fan-fic idea until I realized that I had written something FAR too serious to have it match up with the original concept.
The Count of Earth is a Space Opera. Very soft Sci-fi that is meant to feel a bit like a folktale in space. The far future equivalent of one of the longer tales out of One Thousand and One Nights. Probably more accurately one of the French fakes inserted by one of the translators. It's one of the oldest story ideas that I'm still interested in, since I first had the idea for it back in 2014. I've written the beginning several times. I know, generally, what I want the story to be, but I kinda just can't quite get it to sing. The real advantage of it in NaNoWriMo will be letting go of its singing voice and just getting it down. It's also the only one of the four with no magic in it. The only "magic" is advanced technology (FTL, Interplanetary communications, Artificial Intelligences, Orbital Bombardment, etc.) and a massive amount of money. It's also the only one where a romantic love story will be a major plot line, as Jun, the MC who is the titular Count, falls in love with the Princess (? the Daughter of a Sovereign of a state like a King who is below the ultimate Sovereign of his political union like an Emperor) Mayari, who is the daughter of his 'master's enemy. Which is a mixed bag since I enjoy romantic subplots but I'm terrible at them.
Goal-Go! is Progression (Science) Fantasy. It acknowledges itself as existing within a Sci-fi universe while mostly dealing with magic within the 'scientifically' generated simulation. Even the blatantly 'scientific' ideas, like the transfer of files between folders on different computer systems for instance, are handled like magic. It's definitely the 'biggest' project, as in requiring the most amount of work from me, even if it is actually meant to be a fairly quick and easy read. Since my central conceit is that Goal-Go! is a 3rd person Choose Your Own Adventure. A game within a game. I will have to work hard to avoid making Inception references. I'm fairly certain I can't actually write the full text in 30 days but I could probably set up what I thought of as the default storyline, the one I would expect most readers to choose. And start working on the branches off of that. It's also just an ambitiously complicated structural idea. The story isn't much. Pulling it off will be a phenomenal amount of work and it may just simply be too much for NaNoWriMo even in abridged form. I think I'm only even considering it because I wanna and because I don't see it as very likely that I'll commit to it without something like NaNoWriMo, just some huge push against the phenomenal weight of the project. I wanna do it but it is intimidating. I'm also just not sure how fun Goal-Go! will be. And it will kind of be a waste of time if it isn't fun. Fun is its justification for existing. Though it's a different kind of fun from The Luna & Bacall Supernatural Detective Agency. It's gamey fun instead of fool victorious fun. The constant task will be keeping it from bogging down which I think it will simply tend toward. I probably should just nix it for safety and say no. But. I do kinda still wanna.
All of which gets me not really any closer to deciding which of the four to actually do. They're all kind of different enough that it's hard to compare them and pick out what will be the "best" experience for me. Hmmmph. Decisions. Decisions.

My mum wants to drive near mine so we can hang out at a safe distance (and i guess yell to each other?) which is fine but I just think the likelihood of us not bursting into tears is minimal to none and then that's just two mad women weeping in public unable to hug each other lol

So I worked a graveyard shift tonight. It started at 10 pm, and it ends at 8, about two hours from now.
I brought a lot to do but decided to spend the time trying to pump out some animal sketches. For the first few hours, @boarfeathers was up with me and named me a couple animals (Bilby, beluga, bunny, and badger. there’s a theme here somewhere...), and after she finally crashed, I scraped up a nilgai and a loon.
My tablet stopped utilizing pressure on the loon, so I’m calling it a night. I can play a game for my last few hours, and look forward to collapsing in bed when I get home around 9.

Since I've binge watched through the archive of most YT channels I follow and don't want to wade through the amount a junk, and you seem to have good taste in media do you have any channels you'd recommend?
For general entertainment purposes, I have been watching some craft channels (Moriah Elizabeth, Graveyard Loon), some historical fashion channels (Karolina Żebrowska, Sewstine, the last one is also very interesting for learning about sewing in general), some sculpting channel (Ace of Clay), general art channel (DrawWithWaffles, Emily Artful). Also, I have been very into doll customization! The artestry and skill some of those people have in order to make their creations has me absolutely fascinated. Hextian, Dollightful, Poppen Atelier and many others. I wish I could do my own as well, but it looks expensive as fuck lol It still inspire me to continue to do my art. For gameplays, I watch mostly ManlyBadassHero that dedicates himself to horror game, John Wolf that is the same and Call Me Kevin that is a variety videogame channel. Oh, speaking of him, his girlfriend Anna Rudolf has a channel where I started following her because of her chess content but now it's making more gameplay and other kind of stuff. I mostly avoid commentary channels because, honestly, I have been burned too many times already and I don't trust like that again, and don't even bother at all with drama channels anymore. Edit: Oh, I forgot to mention Drawfee! It’s a channel about a bunch of friend artist that get together to draw from different prompts and their talks always entertain me a lot, so I mostly just listen to them while doing stuff but the art they do is also very good as it is.

My Fanvids
Since fanvids don’t really tend to get a lot of love, either with reblogs or comments, here's all of mine. Most of them are on my channel but here are all the tumblr posts for them in one place on Tumblr (...so that they can be reblogged).
Oh, and all videos have English subtitles, including those that are with English songs, and the captions include any audio taken from the show. Some videos also have image descriptions too.
If you want to support my vidding, then you can donate through my Ko-Fi: https://ko-fi.com/oneawkwardcookie. It’s by no means compulsory, but I’d really appreciate it!
