Sophie Louise Charlotte Baden attributed to Georg Mathias Fuchs (location ?). From Wikimeia via pinterest.com/jeannedelamottevaloissaintremy/1770s/ 1072X2278 @96 @1.6Mj.Almost the entire image is mildly blurred. Parts of the eyes, table, chair, and dress were not blurred although the most obvious spots, cracks, and flaws were erased with Photoshop,
According to her terse English language Wikipedia article, “Charlotte Baden (21 November 1740 – 6 June 1824) was a Danish writer, feminist and letter-writer. [1]  Sophia Lovisa Charlotte Baden was the daughter of major Gustav Ludvig von Klenau (1703–72) and Bolette Cathrine From (1696-1788).
She was brought up by her relative Anna Susanne von der Osten (1704-1773), head lady-in-waiting to Princess Charlotte Amalie of Denmark, who financed her education and gave her a pension. In 1763, she married Jacob Baden (1735-1804), who was a professor at the University of Copenhagen.”

Welcome to Letters2fiction!
The concept here is to send in a question or a letter request, and you’ll get a response from your fictional character of choice, from the list below. Please stick to the list I’ve made, but of course, you can ask if there’s some other characters I write for, I don’t always remember all the shows, movies or books I’ve consumed over the years and I’m sure I’m missing a lot 😅

Powdered drink mixes that are widely promoted as “toddler milks” for older babies and children up to age 3 are unregulated, unnecessary and “nutritionally incomplete,” the American Academy of Pediatrics warned Friday. The drinks, which are touted to parents on TikTok, in television ads and on other sites, often contain added sugar and salt. The manufacturers make unproven claims that the drinks boost kids’ brains or immune systems, said Dr. George Fuchs, a member of the AAP’s nutrition committee, which released the new report. Formula industry officials said the drinks could be useful for filling “nutrition gaps” in kids’ diets. But Fuchs said older babies and toddlers should be given a balanced diet of solid foods, as well as drink breast milk, fortified whole cow’s milk and water after age 1. [...] Infant formula is regulated by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration and must meet certain nutrition requirements as a replacement for human milk for babies up to 12 months. The facilities where infant formula are made are regularly inspected. There are no federal regulations governing milk drink mixes for older babies and toddlers.

Abstract
A new species of scops-owl (Aves, Strigiformes, Strigidae, Otus) is described from Príncipe Island, São Tomé and Príncipe (Gulf of Guinea, Africa). This species was discovered for science in 2016, although suspicions of its occurrence gained traction from 1998, and testimonies from local people suggesting its existence could be traced back to 1928...

BLOOD FROM THE MUMMY’S TOMB (1971) – Episode 203 – Decades Of Horror 1970s
“She who is buried here shall henceforth have no name, shall cease to exist in the minds of man as she has ceased to exist in life.” Well, she has a name and she is remembered. Not much of a curse, ay? Join your faithful Grue Crew – Doc Rotten, Chad Hunt, Bill Mulligan, Jeff Mohr – as they take in the last, but not least, of the four Hammer mummy films, Blood from the Mummy’s Tomb (1971), sadly sans Peter Cushing or Christopher Lee.

An archaeological expedition brings back to London the coffin of an Egyptian queen known for her magical powers. Her spirit returns in the form of a young woman and strange things start to happen.
Director: Seth Holt, Michael Carreras (uncredited)

Once again, it is time to revisit a Hammer Horror entry from their 1970s features. This time, the Grue-Crew follow dismembered hands and devious archeologists as they confront the resurrection of the evil Egyptian Queen with no name. By the way, her name is Tera. Shhhh… don’t tell. Andrew Kier does an admirable job stepping in for Peter Cushing (after only a day’s shooting) to lead the heroic defense alongside the beautiful Valerie Leon against the Blood from the Mummy’s Tomb (1971).
At the time of this writing, Blood from the Mummy’s Tomb is available to stream from Wicked Horror TV and various PPV sources. The film is available on physical media as a Blu-ray from Shout! Factory.
Gruesome Magazine’s Decades of Horror 1970s is part of the Decades of Horror two-week rotation with The Classic Era and the 1980s. In two weeks, the next episode, chosen by Jeff, will be Killdozer (1974), based on the 1944 Theodore Sturgeon novella and starring Clint Walker, Carl Betz, Robert Urich, and Neville Brand. You asked for it! Really. You did.
We want to hear from you – the coolest, grooviest fans: comment on the site or email the Decades of Horror 1970s podcast hosts at [email protected]
