Whoever this "steph the alter nerd" person is, she needs help. No one dedicates as much time and energy as she does into obsessing over a stranger unless there's something wrong. I don't even have any anger for people like her, I just hope she can figure out what's going on with her in life that makes her feel the need to sit in her room and obsessively make videos (we're talking multiple a day) on YouTube about a stranger who has no impact on her life whatsoever. It's really weird.

Do these types of people not realise what this behaviour is? Do they not understand that if you did this to a person at school or work they could literally get a restraining order against you for stalking? I don't draw much anymore, but heres some depression themed digital art I made in March and then July of 2021.

I first became aware of my depression at ten years old. I didn't have the greatest childhood but I appreciated everything I did have, unaware that the "above and beyond" I thought was being done was more like "the bare minimum".

Anytime I asked my guardian (grandmother) for help regarding mental illness, I was told, "It's just in your head, you've gotta get over it."

So I did my best to do that 😅 I journaled, and I talked to a mirror at night when everyone went to sleep, along with other less healthy methods of relieving stress.

In 2019, my depression got very bad, I had lost any will to live and had to reach out to loved ones and coworkers for help. I had gotten medication (setraline/generic zoloft) for the first time in my life 😊

In 2020, I became pregnant and stopped taking my medication because I was afraid it would cause my baby to have withdrawals. My own mother was (and probably still is) a drug addict and had overdosed during her pregnancy with me. I was born with a list of drugs in my system. Because of her actions, I was terrified not only to take my setraline but also to take any pain medication after giving birth. So I healed from a C-section with just ibuprofen, and it was hell.

Postpartum depression is a whole different kind of monster from what I was used to. Without it, I don't have the patience to handle the screaming, tantrums, etc.

I had run out of my medication for most of the week before getting more. That paired with staying up almost all night every night and just taking power naps has really taken it out of me this week.

I once had this girlfriend, and she was just like a ray of sunshine every day. But when she hadn't taken her medication, she was like this gray raincloud. It had made me so worried that if I took medication, I'd be grey like that on days when I didn't take it. In reality, I was a raincloud every day, and I realized that getting medication would really just bring me sunshine.

Life is hard. Everyone's life and everyone's bodies are different. Needing medication is okay. It doesn't mean you are broken or less than. It just means your body doesn't produce a certain chemical and helps bring you to level.
