i hate how most of the tv shows i like have basically no online fandom, i lucked out with lab rats, i was expecting there to be hardly any fandom content. it was also nice to be into a large fandom bc of stranger things. but then the rest of the shows i love are outnumbered, the inbetweeners, fresh meat, friday night dinner and derry girls so im kind of fucked with those. and then taskmaster, but with that being a panel show im not too bothered with content outside of the show
Hi everyone I am still looking for British people over the age of 18 to take part in an interview on the Difference between British and American comedy shows for my Dissertation. If anybody British could take part that would be great, thank you
Just realized that Barney's family's Friday night dinners are Shabbat dinners which makes the whole thing so much more significant
Not only is Shabbat an important holiday, but there are a lot of very gendered traditions that go with it which would give Nana a LOT of extra opportunities to be really transphobic and use religion and tradition against him.
It adds a lot of significance to the dinner and why Barney might feel extra guilt over it. I understand why they called it Friday night dinner instead for the show cause explaining Shabbat wouldn't have fit in well, but it is a thing.
sometimes I wish those Friday night dinner episodes were like a 2 hour movie, I’d totally watch it, just get lost in the aesthetic. Anyone with a will to live want to stitch all the dinners together and put it on YouTube? Anyone?
