Nyobolt EV Concept, 2023. An electric sports car prototype designed by Julian Thomson based on the first generation Lotus Elise engineered by Callum with battery tech by Nyobolt that has a claimed charge time of 6 minutes.  Nyobolt has revealed new battery technology that is smaller, lighter and faster to charge. In the Nyobolt EV, set to weigh close to one tonne, this translates into a 35kWh battery that is capable of fully charging in 6 minutes with existing charging infrastructure, delivering a range of up to 250km. Nyobolt claims that its battery will enter production in early 2024 and is “ready to be adopted” across the automotive industry.

In fact, over 140 million Americans live within 10 miles of an EVgo charger. The company partners with eight OEMs and multiple grocery stores, hotels, gas stations, etc., to promote usage.
Fast charging is a critical component of EV adoption. The more fast charging options available, the more likely consumers will switch. Or, at least, this is what EVgo’s business model is based on.
So far, the business model is proving it has the potential to generate earnings. Here are a few of the biggest highlights from the EVgo Q2 2022 earnings report.
Revenue rose 90% YOY, reaching $9.1 million.
Network throughput reached 10.1 GWh, a 66% increase compared to last year.
Added around 67,000 new customer accounts in Q2, bringing the total to about 444,000.
P.S. Users of electric cars no longer have to worry about the high prices of gasoline or diesel, and those who are determined enough to install rooftop solar panels at home can also protect themselves from too high electricity prices...

“When it comes to the distribution of infrastructure, there is a clear split between central and eastern European countries on the one hand and western European countries on the other. For instance, a sizeable country like Romania — some six times larger than the Netherlands — only has 0.4% of all the EU’s charging points.”(..)
P.S. The EU is not a universal paradise, as some naïve people imagine! Even a  map of fast charging stations clearly shows the territories that were under the Russian occupation regime, because even so long after the collapse of the Soviet Union, the negative consequences of the communist regime introduced by the Russians have not been overcome:
     1) Eastern Europe has a much lower level of average income and gross national product per capita, thus much less free funds to invest in electric transport infrastructure that is way  too expensive and rather exotic for most of the population; 2) Contrary to the self-promotion and loud declarations of Western politicians about unity, Eastern Europe does not receive as much direct aid and direct investment as it seems to ordinary citizens of Western Europe; 3)So, in order to quickly create a sufficiently dense network of fast charging stations in Eastern Europe, there must be either some business interest in this topic (as Tesla does) or a direct political decision at the EU-wide level is required to promote direct investment into EV charging infrastructure. Otherwise, the process of electrification of road transport will either be slow or it will be taken over by Chinese electric car manufacturers...
My hypothesis is that the electric car charging infrastructure in Eastern Europe will start to grow rapidly when Chinese electric car manufacturers enter this market with much more pleasant car prices and local entrepreneurs will have a sufficient number of customers at charging stations. While electric cars are expensive and the number of cars is small (On April 1, 2022, Latvia had 2449 road legal EVs. In order for the charging infrastructure to work, as a functioning business in Latvia, there must be at least 28 - 30,000+ electric cars on the road), there are very few companies that can afford to maintain electric car fast charging stations without profit. Obviously, something needs to be subsidized, stimulated and invested in the beginning to jump start the electric car fast charging market. Who will do it is still not quite clear?
