Shut this option down for a bit, but it's back again: everyone wishing for a piece of gear (pedal, eurorack module, full synth, ...) of varying fucked-up-ness made with loving paws of a decoracore transfem losergirl - look no further! Here's some stuff that i made.
Here's a full catalogue of my DIY module designs that i can execute for you with any customisations that you'd like. I also can take on any arbitrary hardware project that's not modular - so, pedals, desktop units, etc, are also a possibility. Prices vary and i do value my time, but also i have like half a dollar of money that's not to cover the rent, so now's your chance to get a custom cheaper than usual.
Also, all the SFP series modules from that catalog above are for sale, too - they're Eurorack format, inquire for depth, prices, and other details. All the photos and demos are attached to each module's page.
Found a strange artefact where sequencing telharmonic causes ping-like clicks - I mixed this in with additional triggers through erbe-verb to make the strange breathing sound. Noisy percussion underlies the patch. The one thing I'd change is to axe the P-out through sinc bucina, since this piece is best completely atonal in my opinion - and also, I think I've just overused the ratcheted-LPG sound, at least for a while.
YouTuber and synthesist Mylar Melodies did a video a few years ago about various uses of a sample and hold module that aren't "making that 1970s computer noise". One of them was running the clock at very high rates and sampling an audio signal, which ends up giving you an audio downsampler.
I didn't have anything that played audio handy when I went to try it, but I did have an old Boss metronome that has a "voice" mode, where it shouts the numbers of the counts — "One! Two! Three! Four!" — and running that through an amplifier and a resonant filter wound up with some interesting audio to chew on. I actually recorded it, but Tumblr is a coward and won't let me include a 15MB, 7 minute clip of an aimless jam session, which, now I consider it, is probably for the best.
All the modules i make and sell are on a 20% discount now and until november 1st. Buy my awesome crap here! I presented this on my "official SYNTHFOX" media as a halloween promo, with the idea of you treating yourself for the spooky month's end, and then getting the gear in time for year end holidays (or a bit earlier).
In reality it's cause i barely make profits from making modules for the last 6 months, and am slowly closing the project to go get a boring job. You can check the stock here. I'm pretty sure EBB & FLOW and SCG are last units, maybe i have boards for like, 1 more each, but i don't have the parts and probably won't bother stocking them. What i mean is, if there are any synth collectors who want to buy rare obscure gear to jack up the prices for it 20 years later - now's your chance lmfao
Doing Waver better justice than in the last case with it here, using two oscillators to just push each other around with all sorts of cross patching. Cold mac takes a few CV sources in to act as a drifting macro controller. Now that I've started to patch it as such, I've started to identify a performance style I fall into, responding to said drift. The faders on Waver and Ikarie really lean into this - of course while any knob can be wiggled, some modes are more conducive to this than others.
Again on the performance side, I continue to use mutes on the Acid Rains to create breakdowns and builds. When I feel like more formally structuring a song, I need to create distinct A/B sections that I can switch around rather than fully cutting something out. Hopefully the next firmware update (allegedly in the works from the modwiggler thread) will include the multi-mute-dropping I've seen a handful of users suggest. Even without it though, banger modules.
