Fantasy Book Recommendations 馃崉
My passion for witchy things and love for books inspired me to make a list of recommendations of books/series for fantasy lovers. All stories presented here were read by me and I guarantee they are at least decent.
馃 A court of thorns and roses series by sara j maas
I have to warn you that this series includes some rather steamy scenes. While it's not a favourite nor an incredibly written series, I can admit it kept me on my toes and the plotline is quite interesting. There a bunch of things I would change about it but if you go past them you will enjoy it a lot. I almost forgot to mention that the fantasy aspect of this series is the existance of the fae realm.
馃 The night circus by erin morgenstern
Gorgeous writing that almost distracted me from the poorly written romance. Honestly, the description of the circus and the beauty surrounding this book took away a lot of my dissapointment when I finished it. The plot could have been better and it's very slow. I am very surprised by how much I liked this book and I would recommend not expecting much from the romantic aspect.
馃 Six of crows duology - leigh bardugo
While it's not heavily focused on magic or fantasy, it's still present. A favourite of mine, I would make anyone read this series. It has everything I could ever need and it was entertaining as well. Well written characters, amazing plotline and fantastic writing. Gotta mention the first few chapters are a bit boring.
馃 Folk of the air series by holly black
Another incredible series that I warmly recommend! And another one which takes place on a fae realm. If you enjoy reading some good old enemies-to-lovers arks I highly suggest giving it a chance. I personally found the main character a breath of fresh air from your typical YA female protagonist and I liked reading her story. A human trying to thrive in the fae's world, quite interesting I would say.
馃 The raven cycle series by maggie stiefvater
Contains mediums and clairvoyants. Fitting for my blog, right? The main character is told that she will kill her first true love by kissing him and posses no psychic ability despite being the daughter of a medium. She ends up meeting a group of boys from her town, one of them trying to find the connection between his almost-death and a welsh king whose name he heard in that moment. The coolest part is that this king is real and after writing the series the author found out she is related to him.
馃 Winternight trilogy by katherine arden
SO PRETTY AND AMAZING. This is series just AHDKSKS. She does an extraordinary job with the descriptions, making you feel like you are in a fairy tale. Inspired by the Russian folklore, this book captures the story of Vasilisa who wants to protect her family from the evil that is near. It's sooo good!!!!!
馃 Throne of glass series by sara j maas
....Another fae series. This one is rather full of cliches and while it's a decent series, it is very boring compared to other fantasy books. I've only read the first 2 books and to be honest, I think this one depends on the reader. There are people who love it and others who dislike it with a passion. Quick read though.
If you've already read any of these series, tell me your opinions in the ask box. Or even after you read them!

How does no one talk about The night circus??? They鈥榬e radiating Twinflame energy like come one
鈥濱 have tried to let you go and I cannot. I cannot stop thinking of you. I cannot stop dreaming about you.鈥
鈥濱 would have written you, myself, if I could put down in words everything I want to say to you. A sea of ink would not be enough.鈥 鈥濨ut you built me dreams instead.鈥
"What did you wish for?" "I wished for her.鈥
"As though they cannot decide if they are afraid of me or they want to kiss me." "I am not afraid of you," Marco says.
鈥濫verything I have done, every change I have made to that circus, every impossible feat and astounding sight, I have done for her.鈥
鈥濱 have been surrounded by love letters you two have built each other for years, encased in tents.鈥

The Starless Sea - Erin Morgenstern
Synopsis:
From the New York Times bestselling author of The Night Circus, a timeless love story set in a secret underground world鈥攁 place of pirates, painters, lovers, liars, and ships that sail upon a starless sea. Zachary Ezra Rawlins is a graduate student in Vermont when he discovers a mysterious book hidden in the stacks. As he turns the pages, entranced by tales of lovelorn prisoners, key collectors, and nameless acolytes, he reads something strange: a story from his own childhood. Bewildered by this inexplicable book and desperate to make sense of how his own life came to be recorded, Zachary uncovers a series of clues鈥攁 bee, a key, and a sword鈥攖hat lead him to a masquerade party in New York, to a secret club, and through a doorway to an ancient library hidden far below the surface of the earth. What Zachary finds in this curious place is more than just a buried home for books and their guardians鈥攊t is a place of lost cities and seas, lovers who pass notes under doors and across time, and of stories whispered by the dead. Zachary learns of those who have sacrificed much to protect this realm, relinquishing their sight and their tongues to preserve this archive, and also of those who are intent on its destruction. Together with Mirabel, a fierce, pink-haired protector of the place, and Dorian, a handsome, barefoot man with shifting alliances, Zachary travels the twisting tunnels, darkened stairwells, crowded ballrooms, and sweetly soaked shores of this magical world, discovering his purpose鈥攊n both the mysterious book and in his own life.

The Night Circus - Erin Morgenstern
Synopsis:
The circus arrives without warning. No announcements precede it. It is simply there, when yesterday it was not. The black sign, painted in white letters that hangs upon the gates, reads: Opens at Nightfalll Closes at Dawn As the sun disappears beyond the horizon, all over the tents small lights begin to flicker, as though the entirety of the circus is covered in particularly bright fireflies. When the tents are all aglow, sparkling against the night sky, the sign appears. Le Cirque des R锚ves The Circus of Dreams. Now the circus is open. Now you may enter.

Please, I need to talk about The Starless Sea.
I was gonna make my bookclub read it, but I don't think they'd like it and that would just be devastating.

Idk I think we should talk about how beautifully and carefully Erin Morgenstern weaves description into her work ??? Every line is so meticulously placed ?? and the metaphorical language that EVERY. SINGLE. LINE. Inhabits is honestly so insanely well done I think I might implode with my love for it. Not to mention how poetic the entire novel is as a whole ??? (And of course the literal poetry placed between some of the chapters too) maybe I projected onto Zachary a little too much but dare I say it鈥檚 the most perfect fantasy novel ever written ??? AND THE WAY IT ALL CIRCLES BACK AHHH
