2023 admittedly was pretty quiet for me and included a lot of self-doubt, imposter syndrome, and baldur's gate brainrot (brainrot is still very active. the other stuff...we are forever working on it).

But some cool stuff happened too- like making it past the halfway point on another legacy! (and doing this round-up made me really really miss the Truffles so I'll definitely be returning to them in the new year)

I also started a really neat (well, imo) save that I'll be diving into in the new year- Grimcoast Harbor. I still have some work to do in setting it up (holy hell I think I started it in...what...April) BUT I do have plans to post it eventually.

I have been seeing this go around for a while now so please feel free to ignore this if you've already done it (or ignore it even if you haven't idc! no pressure as always)

I finally finished Bugsnax

#I know Grumpus Bean has a unique tag but I don't remember what it is and I think I was gonna change their last name #so new tag time #OC: Bean (grumpus) #that'll do for now #but yes I am like three years late #mainly bc my old pc lagged to all hell and then I never redownloaded it on my new one until like yesterday #well I actually had to repurchase it for steam bc I was not gonna get that epic games launcher just for bugsnax but no big #although for some reason the game still lags but only when I am in snaxburg so the last quest was extra stressful! fighting a hoard at 2fps #I did know what was gonna happen bc I'd watched the ending #but still! it's a different experience to actually play than just watching someone who is also talking over most of it #and they didn't do most of the sidequests nor any of the DLC (tho I watched it before the DLC so they could not have ljksdgfkj) #so that was all new to me!!! #there's so many fuckin quests but I did them all!!! #except like two of them and catching that fast little coffee bastard #I will probably return to do that but for now I have to draw or I will explode #we will return to PT things but don't mind if I have snax on the brain for a bit #I have some funny moments I want to draw

“Remus Lupin—“

He shot up, narrowly dodging the balled up sock Sirius threw somewhere in the vicinity of his head. “I’m up! I’m up, I’m up, I promise.“

He resigned himself to his fate and summoned the courage to get out of bed, shuffling blearily to the open bathroom door. Sirius met his eyes in the mirror and smiled pointedly around his toothbrush, so extra soft and perfect in the dim, orange-tinted light that Remus’ heart tugged fondly in his chest. He counted his blessings, thanked the universe for the thousandth time that he was lucky enough to be awarded such a sight on a near-daily basis, and gave into the urge to hold Sirius close, wrapping his arms in a loose circle around his middle, pressing his nose to the crook of his neck. He let his eyes slip shut and reveled in the moment quietly—Sirius’ back against his chest, cold fingers grazing his wrist over his stomach, the way he leaned back into Remus’ grip instantly.

“I’m sorry,” he muttered eventually. Sirius hummed a flat note and leaned over to spit in the sink, rinsing for a quick moment before spinning around to face him. 

“For what?” he asked amusedly. “Being extremely lazy and refusing to get out of bed?”

“No, um—well yeah, sure, but no,” Remus tried sheepishly, rubbing at the back of his neck absently. Looking at Sirius suddenly felt impossible, and he felt that same embarrassed heat from before begin to crawl back up his neck. “I just meant for—uh, for last night?”

Sirius cocked his head to the side. “What?”

“I was a lot, I know. I’m so sorry, I didn’t mean to—“

“You’re apologizing for last night? Are you joking?”

Remus frowned. “No?”
