Disney is not slick hiding the fact that the duet between Asha and Magnifico obviously started out as a love song between her and the Star Boy.

We almost had the second coming of Jelsa but without the copyright infringement.

The lyrical difference between the official song and the demo song is that the demo says “Love” but it’s replaced with “Promise” in the official version.

the frozen ii ending makes me soooooo angry like the whole POINT of frozen i was that elsa learned that she could rule arendelle with her powers and with anna by her side!!! literally in the bway musical she sings ‘i know i’ll never see that sunny day / when this trial is finally through / and it can just be me and you’ like. elsa WANTS to stay with anna

and they try and explain this somewhat in into the unknown, with the ‘who knows deep down i’m not where i’m meant to be’ but. WHY isn’t she where she’s meant to be. all of the first film was her learning that she belonged in arendelle and her powers/herself wasn’t something to be afraid of. why isn’t she meant to be with her family? with her sister who’s been desperate to reconnect with her? why doesn’t she belong where people readily love her and accept her and want the best for her?

and then, what about anna? there is no mention of her wanting/being ready to be queen in either two films. we don’t even see the offer on screen; we don’t get the sisters’ quiet, vulnerable conversation where elsa admits to wanting to live with the rest of the nature spirits and anna offers to take her place as queen. we don’t see anna begging elsa to stay in the forest because she can rule if elsa’s happier there. we never see their dialogue. it’s just so sudden. is anna once again just going along with what her sister wants? is elsa isolating herself all over again? we just don’t know. they both seem happy, but there’s barely any indication that it’ll lead up to that point.

it just makes no sense for either of their arcs, or their previous wants/needs. if they were meant to stay together, why separate them again? they just got each other back. and now they’re alone again.

#and yeah yeah neither of them are alone bc of kristoff/the other nature spirits etc etc but COME ONNNNNNN.#anna did not spend most of her life desperate to spend time with her sister just for elsa to fuck off to the mountains again! what was the+#point of the first film!#like when did anna show ANY indication of being ok with being QUEEN???? does she even WANT to be???#and yes elsa is now surrounded by people like her but. gah. idk it just feels so redundant #like why is that the only place she really belongs?#and i know they’re her people so ofc she wants to be with them bc she found where she belongs!!#i just think they could’ve balanced it a bit more so it’s not so out of nowhere #why didn’t we get to see anna and elsa talk it out???? sing a little duet?????#they don’t even HAVE a duet in this film what the hell #grrrr #anyway. normal i’m so normal about frozen #frozen #frozen ii #elsa of arendelle #anna of arendelle

things I think frozen does very well that were forgotten by the anti-hype crowd

It is a natural occurrence that the breakthrough of a piece of media will eventually end up in its own anti-hype crowd culture. We have reached a point, long ago, in which saying that Frozen is bad or that Anna and Elsa aren't as great as the hype says became a sign of...

✨ status, intelligence, not-like-other-girls revolutionary warrior ✨

It's impossible to say "Frozen" anywhere without someone popping out of thin air to preach how they don't like it and how flawed and annoying and how X is better, because reasons.

But after Frozen II, this crowd became louder. I just can't find a single video on YT about Frozen that is not about someone dashing or overly criticizing the movie and its characters because it's cool, and different, and oh-so-clever to be one of the superior ones who weren't caught on this Disney trap.

Yet I feel like the hype made people forget *why* the world was so impacted by this story in the first place. I have my own whys, and some popular whys, here is a list of a few of them that I care to discuss.

Sympathetic Neurodivergent Character. In all fairness, Elsa might still be seen as a villain by some people -- usually because of their inability to understand nuance, analyze a text, or just self-righteous ignorance. But it is very obvious in the movie that the whole narrative and the artistic choices try to paint Elsa's struggle and personality in a positive, or at least in an understanding light. She's not the monster who people fear, who she fears, and who another story would make to be a villain. She's a traumatized child dealing with a burden too great for anyone. Let's remember that back in 2013 the talk about mental health wasn't as nearly as spread as it is today, and having a queer-coded, canonically neurodivergent Disney PrincessTM was unthinkable. Dare I say, Elsa's significance and symbology were completely green-lit by accident. Maybe the artistic force behind it was aware of that, but Disney Corporation just wanted the cute girls to sell dolls and hopefully pay itself. This is a win for the mental disable community and for the queer community that is forgotten and downplayed everywhere. After all, we are woke now!

Complex and Shattered Sibling Relationship Getting Healed. I swear to heavens if I have to hear anyone else compare these two to Lilo and Nani, and try to force them against each other like it's some kind of necessary comparison I will-... Anna and Elsa are sisters who love and care about each other. But they are in a very specific context in which their relationship is broken. This exact premise is what makes the movie excels. It was original -- as far as originally is possible or real. And such a breath of fresh air. The premise of this conflict in which the problem did not have an easy solution, was enough for a very compelling tale. It's so beautiful and wholesome to watch these young women struggle and find healing. Their undying affection and genuine love for each other make us hope so hard that they can finally find peace. I won't even touch on the matter that sibling relationships are complex and nuanced and how Frozen showing that to kids might help them to mend their own conflicts because it goes without saying. Just in the matter of narrative alone, this is a story that had to be told and should be praised again.

The Soundtrack Slapped Everyone In The Face Repeatedly. The song is good. The Broadway vibe is delicious. It's a fact.

Me, writing my characters having issues:

Y/n took a shaky breath, burying their head in their trembling hands.

“I don’t know what to do anymore. I’ve tried so hard, but nothing ever changes! If I can try for this long and not get any result, maybe I should just give up!”

Their shouted words left a stunned audience in the room and they stood up, ignoring the worried murmurs and hands reaching to comfort and soothe.

“Just—leave me alone. Please.” Please don’t leave me, not you too. But no one heard their silent plea, so everyone left. The door clicked shut and y/n released a quiet sob, tears rolling down their face.

“Why aren’t I good enough?” They asked empty air, letting themselves have another second to let it out before methodically wiping their eyes and cheeks and pasting a fake smile on.

Not that anyone would be able to tell it was a facade. No one ever bothered to try to see past the mask anymore.

A little TPATD headcanon about its Miraak...

I love how random ideas we haven't even thought of, suddenly pop up in our heads as we write. I was casually drafting my next chapter the other day, and a train of thoughts led me to the conclusion that my Miraak has a distant elven ancestry from his mother's side, who was a traditional Atmoran and all, but also carried a bit of Falmer blood inside her—and it's just so fitting, as I always visualized her having silver-white hair just like him and violet eyes, which can also justify why I thought giving him indigo eye color in the first place (a color not so common among humans).

And as I headcanoned my Miraak as winter's embodiment, attuned to the ice and the power of the moons, does this not fit perfectly with the fact that he has some very distant Snow Elf heritage?

FELLOW EUROFANS! this is my only oportunity to talk about OT AND Eurovision so I have to post this video I just found about Eurovision songs in Operación Triunfo (updated until the 3rd week of OT 2023), if you have any questions i will be more than glad to answer them !!!!

Just in case it is a bit confusing as it is not in english, in the left you'll see the country and the year it went to eurovision, then it will say the song in the middle and below it the person who sung it in OT and when in the program (also the edition which is important to me personally), and in the left there's the position it got on ESC <3
