Before you question a girl....
Before you question a girl, what are you gonna do after studying so much look at the Mother of the believers Aishah. She was the teacher of 350 greatest Scholars of Islam which included many Sahabah.
Before you question a girl, what are you gonna do after studying so much look at Fatimah al Fihriyyah who founded University of al-Qarawiyyin which is the oldest functioning University in the world standing since 1165 years.
Before you question a girl, what are you gonna do after studying so much look at what Napoleon had said, “Give me good mothers and I shall give you a great nation.”
Before you question a girl, what are you gonna do after studying so much look at what Malcolm X had said,
“The mother is the first teacher of the child. The message she gives that child, that child gives to the world.”
Before you question a girl, what are you gonna do after studying so much know that she is the foundation of a sound nation.

"The head of Helsinki City Theatre, the director of the musical Kari Arffman says that it's not the job of theatre to educate the audience by tackling difficult themes, but the theatre can incite people to take action in their own daily lives.
- If someone, after seeing [Dear Evan Hansen] asks another how they're really doing, then that's important."

It's not the job of the theatre to tackle difficult topics?!?!? Guess that explains why HCT has been staging the blandest musicals to ever bland for the past few years ajlgsähksälfsä

Know Your Ancestry. Know Your History
Tumblr media
If you do not know your history, you will suffer at the hands of racism, discrimination and microaggressions.
You will experience self-hate, low self-esteem and hatred towards your own people. And you will never know why. You will want to be white, hate your hair, and make fun of the nose and lips that are so characteristic of us.
After you study, listen and learn, you will realize that all those feelings were a byproduct of assimilation. Of trying to fit into a white world with white standards that cut you out from the beginning.
When you understand that, you will stop trying so hard to fit in and instead you'll be yourself and walk into your power. Most importantly you will see your beauty!! And the beauty of others like you. And you will teach others too.
Don't underestimate the power of education. Although it does not protect you from suffering discrimination it will protect you from absorbing it and believing it.
I am proud to be black. But it wasn't always this way. It took work. Growing up in the diaspora can be lonely. So work too, so you won't fall for these traps.

I too have sexual desires
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Aren't some combinations just perfect?
Chai aur biscuit, burger & fries , Lemme Be & you 😉
While some are debatable - pineapple on pizza, Maggi with ketchup but some combinations are just shunned upon - women and sexual desires. Even a slight mention of it can lead to a good dose of bashing and mockery.
Sexual desires are not uncommon to humans and while men are, atleast to some extent, allowed to learn and discuss about it, women are kept away from it for as long as possible.
So, I'd like to ask 'why'? Why are sexual desires and pleasures JUST limited to and centered around men? Why is it only necessary to satisfy a man's desires? What about women? Why are they not allowed to think and feel sexual desires and pleasures? What about their desires?
Various research have proven that there's a gender inequality even in the bedroom. A lot of women perform sexual acts only when their partner wants to and have lesser amount of pleasure as compared to men. It's high time we open up conversations around women and their sexual desires because women too have sexual desires. It is not just men that have sexual desires and pleasures and it's high time we make space for more than just men.
Have you discussed sexual desires? Has anyone ever told you not to discuss it? Share with us in the comments below!

WOMEN'S HISTORY MONTH QUOTE 15
Tumblr media
“Empowerment looks like cultivating the wisdom to make the best choices we can out of what are customarily a piss-poor set of options. Power looks like the ability to create better options. The powerlessness and capriciousness of being repeatedly jammed up at the personal and political crossroads of one’s intersection while a watching world pretends not to see there, needing help, is how it feels to be a Black woman on an ordinary day.” – Brittney Cooper, Eloquent Rage: A Black Feminist Discovers Her Superpower

Women in Technical Vocational Education and Training (TVET): Unlocking Digital Empowerment - CSW68 Side Event.
Recent strategic responses to achieve gender equality, empowerment and poverty alleviation are programs that promote digital literacy and engaging women in entrepreneurial skills building through digital platforms, which included facilitation of access to resources for starting and growing small enterprises. At the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, 'going digital' was the most practical way to facilitate transfer and movements of information, training, structured lessons, etc.
The proposed side event intends to highlight digital programs for women that are transformative when built within an ecosystem of "business skills building, access to capital, coaching + mentoring and network building."
