The Aot final episode was filled with so many beautiful and heartwrenching moments like

The moment where Zeke asked Armin in the Paths, why he wants to try so hard, when eventually he too will die and Armin recalling joy he'd experienced in the everyday ordinary was so beautifully written. This line, where Armin states that maybe he didn't need a big purpose or reason to be born, maybe he was born to race with his friends,read a book and roam around the market with them. That alone was worth being born like..

Zeke realising how he'd forgotten what he really wanted to for the sake of the plan - To simply play catch with his mentor and he wouldn't mind being born again for that too. How he'd realised that lives and being born into the world was just as important and precious for everyone else too.

Another one was where Levi wondering for what even his comrades had given their lives and in the end him all alone, facing everyone with the conclusion - The hearts they've dedicated were indeed worth. Him trying to be his usual self but that teardrop...

Another one was Eren and Mikasa.

Mikasa still held a tiny hope that maybe they didn't have to neccesarily kill Eren ( my heart😭) Even the plan of killing him was unbearable for her. I teared up when at the final moments, she wondered why things have to be this way. All she ever wanted was to return home-her home with Eren and afterwards bravely accepting her/their fate.

Eren was so ready to run away, he too really wanted to spend his remaining years in peace with Mikasa by his side if only Mikasa had suggested once. How he was ready to leave everything, what he'd strived for, his plan behind to be with Mikasa...Man..

Eren talking with Armin one last time, walking to all the places, they'd ever dreamed of. How them realising that once their innocent dreams were now stained with blood. Armin sharing his burden and them promising to meet once agin, even in hell.

When I first started Aot, I really thought Eren should be the one to live. He deserved to live a happy, peaceful and a long life after all the tragedies. But as the story progressed, he was left with the choices and how far he went to fulfill his plans, even at the cost of his family, his friends lives and his own life.

This end was most fitting conclusion to his character and his choices but still I feel pity for him. He really deserved to live a long, quiet life with Mikasa and everyone without any titans not where his grave was discarded and left. But I guess that was the beauty of Aot- Sweet yet realistically poingent.

Goodbye Eren, you were bigger than the whole sky.

we cry "the innocent women and children" to appeal to the masses, to try and force their sympathy, but the men and boys are innocent too.

I have seen sons crying out for their mothers, their fathers, their siblings. I have seen them break down at the loss of their families. I have seen them cling to their dead and grieve.

I have seen fathers cradle their dead children, seen them kiss their faces and hold their little hands. I have seen them faint with grief when asked to identify the dead. I have seen them carry their sons and daughters. I have seen them fasting to provide what little they can for their families.

I have seen men and boys digging through the rubble with just their bare hands, I have seen them comforting strangers, playing with children, rocking them, hushing them, even if the face of such imminent danger. I have seen them cry, seen them grieve, seen them break down into each other's arms, seen them be selfless, beyond selfless, becoming something I don't have a word for.

I have seen the men who are doctors refuse to leave their patients, even when they have no medicine or supplies to give them, even when they're threatened with bombings. I have seen fathers who have lost all their children pick orphans up into their arms and proclaim them their child so they are not alone. I have seen men and boys digging pets out of the rubble.

the men are innocent too. the men and boys are being hurt and killed too. the men and boys are grieving too. the men and boys are scared too. the men and boys are fighting to save their people too. the men and boys deserve to be fought for too.
