party time
luke hughes x reader
summary: after a game loss, there's a fun party to make it hurt less, but some guy tries to flirt with you.
requested: yes!
warnings: creepy guy at the party, alcohol, luke punches someone, beer pong, umich boys being protective
Tumblr media
Only the hockey team would want a party after a loss. Maybe it was the distraction of alcohol or fun after a hard loss, but they wanted a party. When Luke found you outside the locker room at Yost, he was hugging you, hair wet still, mumbling in your ear about a party.
The jersey you were wearing should have claimed you as hands-off. Luke’s last name and number plastered on your back. The maize jersey was easy to spot in the crowd, many of the partygoers still in blue and maize. The sleeves of his jersey were long, covering your hands unless you pulled them up. Luke loved having you in his jersey at games. You always wore one.
You weren’t sure how Nolan collected so much alcohol in a short amount of time, but there was no shortage of beer and booze. In one hand, you had a drink. In the other, you had a crappy pong ball. Dylan Duke had pulled you into a game of beer pong against Mark and Ethan. You weren’t exactly good at pong, but it was always fun to play. The paint on the table you helped paint last season was chipped, but it never stopped anyone from playing.
Luke was off somewhere, talking to Rutger and Adam in a corner. A beer in his hand, anger still brewing after the 4-2 loss. Luke would sometimes glance in your direction, just to check on you. The music blasted through Nolan’s house. You could barely hear yourself think. It didn’t help that you now had alcohol pumping through your body.
Sinking a cup, you shouted in celebration, Dylan giving you a high-five as Ethan moved the cup to the side of the table. Dylan and you both sinking cups for that turn. “Balls back gentlemen,” you beckoned as Mark rolled the pong balls back to Dylan and you. Luca, Mackie, and Nolan watched the game, along with some other partygoers. Dylan made another cup, and you missed yours as Mark blew the ball out of the cup.
You didn’t realize how much you had actually had to drink. Many of the boys keeping an eye on you for Luke. Most of the team were like your brothers and loved having you around and loved how you made Luke happy. You asked Mackie to get you another drink, and he returned with another cup of beer.
The game ended soon after that. Seamus and Grano having downs moved into Mark and Ethan’s spots. “I’m going to tap out,” you said, and Dylan booed you jokingly. You would rather leave the game on a win. Mackie took your spot at the table, and you walked over to get a new drink, tossing your empty can. Your eyes scanned the crowd, looking for your boyfriend.
Luke was tall, making him easy to spot. You smiled to yourself as you began walking over to your boyfriend. Before you could get in eyesight of Luke, someone stopped you. You recognized him, but you had no idea what his name was. “Hi.” You could barely hear the guy over the music. “Hi, sorry,” you tried moving past the guy, but he wouldn’t let you. “I’m Ben.”
“(Y/N). Sorry, I’m just trying to get by,” you attempted to move past him again, but he wouldn’t let you. “I haven’t seen you around before.” You saw red flags in your mind and alarms going off in your head. Quickly glancing around, you tried to find one of the boys. “I’m friends with Nolan, I should really get going.” You tried once more to get by him, but his hand caught your wrist, “I was hoping I could get to know you a little better.”
“I’m kinda trying to meet with someone,” you laughed nervously pulling on your wrist. “Come on,” he moved closer to you, “don’t play hard to get.” The drink in your hand tumbled to the ground as you felt even more nervous.
Before you could mention your boyfriend across the room, you felt a hand on your shoulder, and Ben was suddenly dropping your wrist. Nolan pulled you under his right arm protectively, Jacob Truscott on the other side of you. “Hey (Y/N), this guy bothering you?” Trus asked. “I want Luke,” you mumbled. Jacob was rushing off to get Luke as Nolan checked on you. “You okay? You need some water?”
Luke was pissed when Jacob came to get him. “Luke, it’s (Y/N). Some asshat was bothering her.” Luke left his conversation with Rutger and Adam and was immediately making their way to you.
Ben had attempted to sneak off, obviously not wanting to get involved with the hockey team, bumping right into Luke. “Heard you were bothering (Y/N).” Luke looked at you, giving you a look of worry. “I got her Luke. I’ll go get (Y/N) some water and take her up to my room to rest while you take care of our new friend here,” Nolan said.
You didn’t miss how Rutger was nearby, ready to help Luke with whatever was about to happen. The pent-up anger from the loss and the fact that this guy had bothered you was enough to justify a fight in his eyes.
Nolan left you in his room with a water bottle, letting you sober up a little until Luke got there.
Luke practically shoved Ben out of the house. “Fuck off dude. Don’t fuck with other people’s partners or make girls uncomfortable,” Luke stated. It was a miracle he didn’t punch Ben right then and there. Ben stared at Luke, “Don’t leave your girl alone at a party then.” Luke didn’t take another second to decide, his hand colliding with Ben’s face. After that, Ben was scrambling off, Rutger telling Luke to go see you. Luke shook his hand a little to get some of the pain to leave.
Luke was quick to make his way up to you. Nolan, who was standing outside his bedroom, left when Luke got there. You were shaken up, sipping on your water when Luke walked in. “Hi baby,” Luke spoke softly, shutting the door behind him. The music from downstairs was now muffled. He sat next to you on the bed and watched as you finished your water before hugging you. “I got you baby, don’t worry. I’m sorry for leaving you alone. Rutger is calling us an Uber. We’re going to go home, okay?” Luke said as he rubbed your back.
Rutger and Ethan watched the two of you climb into the back of an Uber, just to make sure nothing happened (as if Luke would let anything else happen). The two of you were soon in his room, sobering up on crackers and water in his bed. “Luke?” you called out softly. He hummed and looked over at you. “You’re a good boyfriend.”
Luke smiled and let you lay into his side. “Did you punch that guy?” you questioned. “Shush, I’m a good boyfriend remember.”

YESSSS HOW ABT BEING BEST FRIENDS WITH THE HOCKEY TEAM AND SOFT LAUNCHING YOUR RELATIONSHIP WITH JJ
Soft Launch - JJ McCarthy
Tumblr media
*********************************************************
“Hi baby.” JJ smiled down at you, keeping his voice low as you two walked through campus, his hand on your lower back and he guided you.
You two were public and as much as you would have liked to kiss him in public, you both knew it was best to keep it under wraps for the time being.
Well that was until some freshman from the debate team saw JJ press a gentle kiss to your lips as he told you goodbye when he dropped you off at your dorm.
“I’ll see you later. Are you still going to the boys house?” He asked as he walked backwards, making sure you two were still on for tonight.
You nodded as he shot you a thumbs up, him finally leaving for practice.
You wanted to tell your friends before news got out, but some punk had beat you to it.
“You’re dating who?” Nolan laughed as he watched you walk into their house, immediately starting on you.
You turned around, trying to walk out, only to bump into Rutgers chest, him coming in after you, “No can do bucko. Turn around.” His hands found the side of your arms, turning you around to push you forward towards the open spot on the couch.
“McCarthy of all people? Him?” Steve scoffed, “You could do better.”
“He’s nice. And super sweet. And look at that face.” You gushed. They looked at you with distaste before letting a laugh escape their lips.
You had invited JJ with you over to Nolan’s house to tell them, but the news broke campus wide that ‘Super Star Quarterback JJ McCarthy was off the market by you’ and the boys had gotten whiff of it before you were able to tell them.
“When did this happen?” Ethan asked as he grabbed your forearm, tugging you to sit down next to him.
“Like.. a month-“
“A month!” Phil laughed, “Dude, we didn’t even suspect anything.”
“I- We wanted to tell you, but apparently it’s already out.”
“Yeah we heard.” Dylan snorted, “Ya know Y/N/N, if you wanted to be more secretive, maybe you should have invited him in if you wanted to kiss him.” He laughed as he pulled up the picture of you two smooching.
You rolled your eyes at him.
“Well we didn’t expect this drama today.” Luca laughed.
The conversation changed after that, you being thankful for this until you heard a knock on the front door, Nolan popping up to grab it.
“Hey buddy.” Your eyes widened as you saw JJ walk into his house, the tension in the air becoming awkward.
A couple of the boys glared at him, sorta jokingly. It wasn’t that they care who you dated, most definitely wasn’t that- it was more so they were nervous that they’d hurt you. Especially an athlete. They all knew how these boys ran through girls and they didn’t want you in that situation.
Especially Nolan. You had been close with him since your freshman year, which would have been his junior year. You both got paired up for a project, you both finding out the other was pretty cool. It was all history from there.
“One wrong move.” Ethan glared, “We’re watching you.”
“Apparently others are too.” JJ commented, you nodding.
“Oh yeah. They found out before I even had a chance to say anything when I walked in.” You admitted as you stood up, walking over to him, “Guys, this is JJ, my boyfriend.”
You didn’t want the football player part looming over him so that’s exactly why you introduced him the way you did.
It didn’t take long for Steve and Phil to catch on before Steve replied with, “Nice to meet you, Y/N’s boyfriend.”
You rolled your eyes, but thankful one of them was smart enough to catch on, and not say something stupid.
“Well I’ve had enough. Can we just start this movie already?” Jacob whined.
“Go ahead.” You laughed as you got comfortable next to JJ on the couch.
“Hands where we can see them pal.”

June 8th 2022 10:00 PM Rocky Point, Mexico
“Can I get a bud light please” An 18 year old Luke Hughes asks the bartender while taking a seat at the beachside bar.
The bartender looks him up and down
“ID?” He replies
Luke pulls out his wallet and slides the man his Michigan issued drivers licenses
The man takes a look before giving a slight nod and sliding the ID back and handing him the requested drink
Luke takes a sip of his drink
“Can I get 4 shots of vodka” the blonde girl next to him asks
Luke looks over and watches as the bartender serves her the shots and she heads towards the dance floor and hands out three shots to her friends
Luke immediately takes notice of the pretty brunette in the blue dress standing next to her and watches as she takes her shot and makes her way on to the dance floor.
“Lukey!” Luke turns around and sees his teammates and best friends Mark Estapa and Ethan Edwards walking towards him
“Hey buddy!” Mark says taking a seat next to him
“Can I get two Coors light?” Mark requests and the bartender obliged and Mark hands a beer to Ethan who nods to the bartender and takes a seat on the other side of Luke
Luke rolls his eyes at the fact that Mark wasn’t carded but that’s usually how it goes for Mark and the rest of Lukes friends except maybe not Dylan cus he kinda looks like he’s 14 with a beard.
“How you doing?” Ethan asks
“I’m fine why?” Luke questions suspecting an ulterior motive
“Why can’t we just check on a buddy?” Mark questions acting offended Luke shoots him a ya right look and Mark lets out a laugh
“Dude you need to get laid you haven’t hooked up with a girl this entire trip and we leave tomorrow!” Ethan says
“Say it louder I don’t think China heard ya” Luke remarks
“Seriously dude even Duker made out with a girl” Ethan says and Luke rolls his eyes and turns to his left seeing Dylan surrounded by a couple of girls clearly telling jokes
“Come on” Mark says starting to get up and accidentally bumps into a pretty girl wearing a blue mini skirt
“My bad. You wanna dance?” Mark asks and on to the dance floor they go
“Seriously Luke” Ethan starts again
“Alright alright I’ll go just let me finish my beer” Luke says Ethan puts his hands up defensively and jokingly then grabs his own beer and heads off leaving Luke sipping his bud light
“Can I get a shot of vodka?” Luke turns around and asks the bartender
“ID?” The same bartender from 10 minutes ago asks Luke scoffs and slides him the ID a second time before receiving the request shot and his ID back Luke takes the shot and makes a face out of disgust
“Just pretend it’s sprite” a voice from behind him says
He turns around and sees the girl in the blue dress he was admiring earlier
“What?” He questions
“Just pretend it’s sprite the mentality helps” She explains Luke smiles at her
“Two shots please” She requests taking a seat next to Luke
She is given the two shots and slides one to Luke
“Ready it’s nothing bad just some sprite” She says with a smile
“Cheers” she says once Luke picks up the shot glass
They both down the drink and Luke makes a face but not as bad
“See it’s mentality” She says with a smile
“I’m Luke”
“I’m Izzie”
Luke holds up two fingers towards the bartender and points towards the shot glasses
“ID?” He asks
“I’ve given you my ID twice” Luke says and the bartender just looks at him frustrated Luke slides over the ID for a third time and the bartender returns it and pours them two shots.
Izzie and Luke cheers and take a shot together this time Luke doesn’t make a face
“So where you from?” Luke asks
“Arizona” She replies
“Pretty hot there?” Luke says mentally kicking himself that that’s the best line he could come up with Izzie lets out a little laugh
“ya ya it is” she responds Luke racks his brain for something anything half way decent to say but Izzie beats him to it
“So Luke you wanna dance or do you more sprite?” She asks with a smirk
“How about both” Luke responds maybe another shot of ‘sprite’ will given him some game he hopes Izzie does a similar motion to what Luke did and the bartender pours two more shots
They cheers and drink Before Izzie stands up and grabs Lukes hand
“Come on this is my favorite song” She says as they disappear from the bar onto the dance floor
Thankfully for Luke Izzie did most of the work seeing as how Luke kinda sucks at dancing.
Halfway through the song the beat drops and Luke looks straight into Izzies eyes and he starts to feel something impulsive build up in him and he leans forward and kisses her at first she reacts a little shocked but then she wraps her arms around his neck and he wraps his arms around her waist.
Izzie pulls away for a second and smiles at Luke.
After a few more dances, a few more shots and a few more kisses Luke leans in and whispers in her ear “Do you wanna get out of here?”
Izzie smiles and nods “just let me tell my friends I’m leaving”
Izzie says then walks towards the group of girls dancing on the other side of the dance floor
“Did Lukey find a girl” A voice asks
Luke turns around and sees his friend Mackie a little drunk
“Ya I’m gonna head out” Luke says
“Enjoy big boy” Mackie slurs then continue walking
A few seconds later Izzie grabs Lukes hand again and the two leave.
“What do you wanna do?” A now clearly tipsy Luke asks
“It’s such a pretty night” Izzie giggles as they walk down the beach
Once the two were a good distance away from the noise they had grabbed towels from a nearby stand and sat down on them looking up at the starry night.
The two still very much drunk but coming down a little start talking about random things soon their hands are back on each other and then their lips.
Before they know it the two are taking off articles of clothing and one thing leads to another…
The Next Morning
Luke Hughes wakes up to the blinding light of the sun shining in his face and a pounding feeling in his head.
He slowly begins regaining focus and takes a look around he sees his shirt and pants in a pile next to him leaving him in only his boxers, he sees his phone, keys and wallet the one thing he doesn’t see is Izzie. Luke spends the rest of the morning looking for her and fails. He’s so confused on what happened the only thing he knows is that Izzie is one girl he won’t forget.

no matter what - luke hughes
inspired by me watching umich vs my school in person last night lol
Part two.
warnings: none, just unedited
word count: 1.2k +
────────────
it sucked being in a long distance relationship with her boyfriend luke hughes of three years. the two got together their senior year of highschool and luke stayed in michigan while willow went 3 hours away to notre dame university. though she had applied and gotten into umich, luke pushed her to go away. she needed to get out of the state and out her parents home. she needed the distance, even if it meant they broke up at some point.
willow scrolled through her phone, recieving text messages from some of luke's roomates and bff, dylan duke. they wanted to see her after the game and maybe get into a party. though she knew, if umich beat her school- there would be no way they'd be able to get into a party. she joked about them treading lightly. tonight would be the first time in two months that the young couple would be seeing eachother since hockey understandably took up luke's time. willow on the other hand, was gunning to graduate in three years so she could follow luke and start a life together. but whatever happened, happened they always said.
the facetime notification came in as she was finishing getting ready, and then she would be out the door to pregame with her sorority sisters and then head to the game. she clicked accept, and went back to putting her eyeliner on. "Oh hell no willow! what are you wearing??" she heard ethan edwards holler, causing the girl to roll her eyes. she peered down at the screen before finishing her eyes. "what? surprised im wearng notre dame colors and not blue?" she mused, smirking a bit before fully switching her attention to luke. she saw the teensy weensy dissapointed faced mixed in with dissapointment written on his face. "luke..." she trailed off. "we had this discussion last week. you said i could wear whatever i want. and i am." she said picking up the phone and began to walk out of her room and out into the area where she'd be pregaming. "yeah, but i thought you would of worn michigan colors." he said a little hurt, the tone evident. "booooooo! i hope yall choke!" one of her sisters who had been pregaming a bit early, jokingly threw out. "oh my god." willow said covering her face, embarrsed. she heard some of the boys laugh, not taking offence to it. "as much as i want y'all to suceed and win...i kinda want my team to win too." she mused, accepting a drink form her roommate. "okay boys, time for her to pregame- we will see ya later." her roommate said waving before hanging up. "should i change?" willow asked second guessing her decision. her roommate and some sisters shook their heads, "no. he said to wear whichever team tonight." one of them reassured her and she nodded. she was hoping she'd make the right decision.
her sisters and some frat guys made there way down to the glass as they walked into the arena. they had luckily gotten here early enough to get such good seats. about 20 minutes later, she saw the michigan team come out and greeted with lots and lots of boos. she giggled into one of her roomemates who booed loudly in her ear- playfully. all in good spirit. she heard the chant begin for another player, "4's a bitch - 4's a bitch!" she laughed even more, and she grimaced a bit for gavin brindley. she looked over towards there end, trying to find luke and almost instantly seeing the tall curly brunette boy she loved. luke unknown to her, was still a bit hurt by her decision and so he didn't even dare to look over. if she knew, she'd call him a drama queen. because no matter what, she'd be there for him.
the team re entered the ice for the national anthem, and that's when the crowd began to get energized. as they were all introduced, the boo's were defiant and ear piercing. she took notice of all the boy's faces and to be honest, they loved it. it made them even more determined to win. she took in luke's face though, who was stone cold. she made a mental note to remind him to not be so grumpy. but luke was grumpy, no matter what anybody said.
luke went to the side towards the student section to take the opening face off, and that's when he saw her. she was there, dawning his freshman year umich jersey. she saw the twinkle in her eyes, as she beemed at him. no matter what, he thought.
you could see the visual differance in luke's demeanor, he was more free, more energetic and more willing to crack a joke on the bench. the wolverine crew ended up coming out on top, by one point in an ot winner. willow beamed as luke scored, before doing his bow 'celly' towards the student section. everybody and their mother (lol) knew he put on one heck of a show tonight. she playfully booed with the crowd, garnering laughs from some of luke's best friends. she screamed loudly with the crowd, throwing a thumbs down at the group.
willow and her group, walked out of the arena laughing and complaining about the game at the same time. willow joked along with them, before she felt a pair of arms wrap around her from behind and the next second, she was lifted up from behind. she shrieked, already knowing who's arms had her. "lukey!" she shrieked as he spund them around, earning laughs from those around. he set her down, and she turned around giving a frown as she playfully hit his arm. "youve made shorty upset." dylan threw out, coming up from behind the tall sophmore. "dukey!" she beamed throwing her arms around the smaller dude. "golden retriever!" willow said moving away, and hugging ethan. she turned around, keeping an arm around ethans' shoulders and looking around at the group. "i think...i think we can get ya in a party tonight..." she said playfully rolling her eyes, and the three and climbing hockey players cheered. "jonathan here, can hook you guys up." she said pointing at the 5'8 frat guy who nodded. "yeah, come to fiji around 11 will!" he said before they all made their way to there respective ubers and cars. "come on boys, ill give ya a lift." she said walking towards her car. willow decided to not drink that night even though she had planned too. the boys got into the unlocked car, but she held luke back for a second. "hey..wait a sec." she said grabbing his arm and pulling him towards the trunk of the car. he gave her a look of curiosity with a small smile peeking in. she crossed her arms, giving him a look and knew he was gonna get an earful. "listen luke hughes, i don't appreciate somebody getting butt hurt over a jersey. it's. a. jersey. not life or death." she reprimanded. he stood their listening to her before nodding. "im sorry, i know once you hung up i as over reacting. im sorry- will, i am." he said now casting a guilty, sad look on his face. she nodded, pulling him in for a hug. "besides, no matter what im wearing- it's you hughesy, no matter what." she smiled looking into his eyes. he grinned, pulling her in for a deep kiss. "god ive missed you." he whispered as they rested their foreheads against eachothers. "you too hun, but let's go have some fun." she said as she pulled away from his arms. "party time!" duke screamed as they drove off.

Tw: mention of death
Tumblr media
Y/n
I’m currently rushing across campus to get over to Mark’s apartment. He’s bring me to this party with some of his friends. He was the first friend I made at Michigan. We instantly clicked. Now 5 months later, we spend just about every day together. He’s more than a friend definitely, but I have no clue what the proper label would be. I had transferred here from Eastern Illinois University, the college in my hometown. This week has been rough, I miss home like crazy. I’m hoping a night out on the town will relax my mind.
I had a tough home life. My mom is a single parent after my dad died, and she never overcame the pain of his death. He had a heart attack, and she blamed herself. After he died, she shut down. I was left to raise my younger sister, and baby brother at just 10 years old. I was super duper close to my siblings. I didn’t like telling many people about my mom. Only my close friends, like Mark. She isn’t a bad person, trust me she’s amazing. It’s just like she sealed off parts of herself and one of those parts was her motherly affection. I stayed close to home last year to help with my siblings. Anna, my sister is now 17, while my brother Max is almost 10. I love them to death. There isn’t a thing I wouldn’t do for them. Now that Anna is almost 18, I decided to be selfish for once. I followed my dreams, and it led me right here in Ann Arbor.
“Hey you ok with being the DD tonight Hughsey?” Ethan asks Luke. “Sure. I’ve got class at 8 tomorrow morning anyway. Don’t want to show up all hungover. Mark is currently laying his head on my shoulder, and playing with the bracelet on my wrist. “How was your week?” He asks. “Eh-, I don’t know. My classes were fine, but I miss home. Apparently something’s going on. Anna won’t tell me.” He cups my cheeks with his hands and says,” Hey, It’ll be fine. Trust me.” I nod. I still can’t shake this feeling though.
After getting some drinks, I’m sitting down talking to Dylan’s girlfriend Grace. Her and I got really close after the first semester. We both spend all of our time at the boys apartment just hanging out. “So are you going to the game Friday?” She asks. “Probably. Are you?” She nods. We both sit next to each other during the games and make the biggest most embarrassing signs ever. “How’s Mark?” Umm. Ok straight to it then. “He’s good. I still have no clue what we are though.” I say honestly. “ He’ll come around. I just know it.” Maybe she will.
After about 3 hours, Mark found me and said,” Hey. You wanna head out? I’ve got something for you back at the house.” I nod and grab his hand so he can lead me out. “Did you have fun?” He asks. “Yeah. I did. I just for some reason can’t shake this feeling, you know.” He nods and takes my hand in his. “It’s ok. I’m here for you.” My heart flutters.
“Here close your eyes. I got you a surprise!” Mark says excitedly. “Uh ok.” I responded. I put my hands over my eyes and waited. I can hear his feet stomp against the hard wood and his bedroom door open. Soon after I hear him say,” Open your eyes beautiful!” I’m met with the sight of my favorite candies, some sodas, and then an envelope. “I know the other stuff isn’t the most, but open the envelope. Trust me. You’ll like it.” I blush at the fact he’s got me all this. I open the envelope and am met with 2 plane tickets back home. “You did all of this? For me?” He nods. “Well there’s more. I know I’ve only known you for five months, but y/n I feel like I’ve known you forever. I got this feeling around the 1 month mark of our friendship. I really like you. I’ve been too afraid to tell you, but I just had to. Y/n will you do me the honor and be my girlfriend?” I’m in shock. He wants me! “Of course Mark!!” I grab him by the neck and pull him to a hug. “Let me guess the second ticket is for you?” I ask him. “How’d you know.” He says jokingly. “You’ve already met my family. I want to meet you as your boyfriend.” I giggle and place my lips on his. “You're the most amazing girl I’ve ever met. I would do anything for you. I want to see your family, and see you happy again. I want to do everything I can for you baby. What ever is going on back home. I’ll be there next to you to face it. I promise.” Tears start to fall down my face. “Really all for me?” I ask. “Y/n don’t cry. I didn’t mean to make you cry.” I laugh with tears still streaming down my face. “Mark this is a good cry. This. All of this. It makes me so extremely happy I can even express how I feel. Thank you!” I grab him by the neck once again and inbrace him in a hug. “You’re the best. Thank you so so much!” He pulls away and says,” So your sure your not sad?” I giggle and give him a peck on the lips. “Yep! I’m sure.” He grins and says,”Well I guess where going to Illinois!” Yes we are.
So I have a lot of works in progress so be expecting more soon 😜

Yandere Ryan Erzahler (2/6)

*Edited:3
Ryan and I watched from the sidelines as everyone else conversed. Nick and Jacob were fighting over 'Peanut Butter Butterpops', a brand that rang a bell. Emma had brought a gun back with her for bear-protection, so the pair decided on a good ol’ shoot-out to decide the owners. I was still groggy, so I leaned against Ryan’s shoulder again. He didn’t have any complaints, since he was scrolling on his phone aimlessly.
Generic pop music began emitting from Dylan’s phone. Nick and Abby finished setting up the campfire. And, lo and behold, the other three returned. Except Kaitlyn won the bag somehow. Go her. Both boys were incredibly dejected.
The sun had set, and the full moon was high in the sky, illuminating us more than the fire itself. I finally at up properly when Dylan suddenly clapped his hands together. Everyone had beers except me, so I just occasionally stole Ryan’s. All of the conversations dispersed and we focused on the man.
“Okay! New idea. Party game!” Some groans echoed, nobody seconding the idea at first. “Come on, people, we might never see each other again after tonight! Let’s make some memories!”
“Well, what do you have in mind?” Kaitlyn inquired.
“How about the ultimate game of secrets and lies,” Dylan pitched. “Truth or Dare, but Dylan style. Okay, so house rules are, someone asks you a truth or dare. Then you choose, and then you pick the next person. There’s no ifs, ands, or buts.”
“So, like, normal truth or dare?” I quipped, causing some of my friends to snicker.
Dylan’s face flushed. “Uh, yes.”
“So,” I could tell from Kaitlyn’s expression she had something devious up her sleeve, "we can, like, make people kiss.”
“If they choose dare, yeah. If everyone’s down for that, obviously.”
“Cool beans!”
“I mean, keep it in your pants until it’s your turn, but…”
“So, who’s going first?”
Dylan glanced around the fire place. “Hm. How about you, Kaitlyn, since you’re so eager to make everyone smooch?”
Kaitlyn shrugged. “Sure, I’m down. Truth.”
“Bo-o-oring,” Jacob complained, but Dylan hushed him.
“It doesn’t have to be.” Dylan scanned her face, and the woman waited patiently with a coy smirk. “…Alright. Kaitlyn. Which of the councilors do you want to have sex with?”
The woman’s smile dropped, and everyone around the fire place cackled. Kaitlyn huffed. “You know that’ an unfair question, right? Everyone’s all coupled up.”
“Actually,” Dylan retorted, "none of us are. That includes you, Jake. Sorry to break it to you, bud.”
Kaitlyn sighed, rubbing her forehead. “Geez… So, I’ll give you all my reasoning behind the choice. Nick and Abby might as well be married by now. Jake’s too obsessed with Emma and Emma’s too obsessed with herself. Ryan and Y/n obviously have a thing going. Maybe friends with benefits, I don’t know. So that leaves you, Dylan. I’d have to choose you.”
Ryan was tense, like always. I nudged him playfully. I was the only one, other than Dylan, who was satisfied with the answer. Actually, Dylan wasn’t even satisfied.
“It’s not about what the right answer is. It’s about what your answer is. Come on, give us something juicier than that.”
“Yeah, Kaitlyn. You don’t have to be shy. The ladies love me,” Jacob jokingly bragged.
Kaitlyn shook her head. “Fine. You want a real answer? Y/n, probably. Ryan’s the lovesick puppy out of the two. And, uh, you’re super nice.”
“I’m not a lovesick puppy —"
“I’m flattered, Kaitlyn!” I grinned, cupping my cheeks. “I never knew you swung that way.”
Kaitlyn scoffed. “Okay, okay, moving on. Ryan. Truth or dare.”
Ryan seemed a bit peeved at the ‘insults’ thrown his way, and he shrugged. I placed my hands on the log and watched him expectantly. He sent a glance my way, having made his decision. “Uh, dare. Let me have it.”
Kaitlyn clasped her hands together in excitement. I noticed that everyone else, minus Nick and and Abby, had mischievous expressions. “Per-r-rfect. Just what I was hoping for. Ryan, I dare you to choose who to kiss out of Y/n and…” Her eyes flitted around the circle. She knew damn well it didn’t matter who else chose. “Emma.”
Ryan paused momentarily, and his complexion darkened. He still appeared as stoic, but I couldn’t help but wonder if he harbored a secret crush for Emma from the way he seized up. I stared at him expectantly.
“Um, uh…”
“Tick tock, Ryan. We don’t have all day,” Jacob said in a sing-song tone.
Ryan sighed. “Yeah, uh, Y/n. If that’s okay.”
I was still turned to him, but I’m pretty sure my brain short-circuited. Ryan turned to me, intensity swirling inches dark orbs. Everyone was staring intently and my heart was thumping loudly in my chest. His Adam’s apple bobbed. His hand came up to my cheek, stroking gently. I craned my neck up toward him, gulping just as much.
His gaze flitted to my lips one last time before he close to distance. I could tell how nervous he was as his lips pressed against mine. Our noses brushed against one another, and I expected it to be a short and simple one, but he didn’t pull away.
I was only vaguely aware of our surroundings. Dylan and Kaitlyn were having a field day, their cheers overpowering the music. I was about to pull away, but the moment our lips parted, he came back for more. Instinctually, I reciprocated, still shocked by his decision. I was in a total daze when I realized Ryan pulled away, the warmth of his hands and lips leaving me.
My mouth went dry and I stared at him, completely abashed. I was sure my entire face was darkened with a blush, and Ryan didn’t seem as embarrassed or uncomfortable as I thought he’d be. The intensity in his eyes… maybe I was overthinking and assuming, but it was almost like he wanted to kiss me, and not just because of a dare.
“Damn, Ryan, that was hot!” Jacob hollered. “So, who next?”
Ryan gulped, and I scooted away, but only an inch. His eyes flitted back to me, and there was something accusatory behind it. I noticed his hand was also residing on the log. “Um, Abby. Truth or Dare.”
Abby, jumping, became incredibly nervous. Her answer was almost instant. “Truth.”
Ryan hummed and nodded. “Well… since there’s clearly a theme… uh, have you, like, had sex?”
Abby seized up, flushing. Kaitlyn was quick to hop to her defense about how intrusive it was, but Dylan and Jacob both agreed it was a fine question to ask. However, Ryan quickly reworded the question to ‘had sex at this camp.’ Abby quickly declined that, and I noticed that Abby sent glances to check if Nick approved that. It wouldn’t have mattered if she was a virgin or not, in my opinion.
“Um… ah…”
A minute later, Abby still hadn’t chosen someone. “Oh my god, just pick someone!” Jacob exclaimed irritably.
“Okay, okay! Um… I don’t know,” she conceded, clearly too anxious from the former question.
“Ugh. Too late. Ding ding ding!” Emma interrupted. “My turn! Y/n. Truth or Dare?”
I was caught off guard, officially zoning back into the conversation. I was still so caught off guard from the kiss I shared with Ryan, since I’d never even considered him as more than a friend. He was the same, though, right? If he had a crush on me, it would be obvious. Right?
“U - uh, dare,” I stuttered.
Emma giggled knowingly. “Great! See, Abby? The game isn’t too hard. Y/n, I dare you to kiss either Ryan… or Dylan.”
I was terrified she’d stop at Ryan. Ryan was watching me expectantly, and I sent him a smile. Jacob made a sarcastic comment about how great Emma was at playing matchmaker, but I brushed it off. I gulped again, staring at Ryan. However, all my anxiety washed away as my gaze landed on Dylan. He was grinning like the genius himbo he was.
“Uh, Dylan.”
Ryan’s mouth twitched, but I couldn’t tell if it was a positive or negative reaction. I rose to my feet, and I heard Kaitlyn gasp quietly. I rose to my feet and walked over to the boy. He seemed to not care in the slightest as I leaned down, only momentarily pressing my lips to his.
I separated and went back to my seat. I distanced myself from Ryan, too worried to meet his gaze. Should I have just chosen him? But I didn’t want to give him the wrong idea. He’d just chosen to kiss me out of convenience. I was probably mentally blowing this out of proportion way too much.
“I did not see that coming, honestly,” Dylan commented.
Silence fell over the camp counsilors, and I was about to choose, but I realized they were all looking at Ryan intensely. I glanced at him, realizing he had a firm frown planted on his face and his brow were furrowed. My heart was beating disproportionately, and instead of calling attention to the sudden awkwardness, I continued.
“Emma, you haven’t yet. Truth or Dare?”
Emma let out a surprised ‘oh!’, tapping her chin thoughtfully. “Well, I don’t see why not dare.”
Jacob was staring at me intently, and I picked up what he was putting down with ease. “Well, I dare you to kiss either Jacob or…” My eyes glazed over the group. “Nick, I guess?”
Nick paled. “Uh-h-h, I don’t know if that’s a good idea —"
Jacob laughed haughtily. “Uh, sorry Nick, this is not even a dare. Obviously, I got this —"
Emma grinned coyly. “I choose Nick.”
Silence fell over the campers. I could tell Abby was fuming. Or about to cry. And Jacob was the same. The atmosphere completely changed, and everyone, minus Dylan and Kaitlyn, were unhappy. Emma sauntered over the Australian man, pulling him up by the collar and kissing him.
We all expected it to be short. However, Emma turned it into a full-blown make-out. Jacob called out for them to stop. However, he suddenly burst.
“Guys. Guys!”
Emma finally pulled away, and Nick didn’t seem pleased. She even planted one extra on him, and that was enough to unleash the dam. Nick couldn’t even meet Abby’s eyes. Emma, as she plopped down on the log, made a snide comment to Abby. Jacob was now pacing around hopelessly.
Abby rose to her feet and stalked off. Emma was somehow surprised. “You like kissing my girlfriend, asshole —?”
“It was just a game —“
“The fuck it was. The fuck it was, man!” Jacob raged, but he turned away. He also left. My jaw dropped, and I reached beside me for the sake of receiving Ryan’s comfort, but he violently tore himself away. As things unravelled around us, my attention returned to my best friend.
He was glaring at me. I couldn’t recall a single time I’d ever seen him so angry. He stood abruptly, and his pacing was fast. The game had obviously ended, and I couldn’t help but chase after the man. Each person had gone in a completely different direction, and the group was separated. I didn’t care, though, because Ryan was clearly upset about something.
I lost complete sight of him, because Ryan had longer legs and had broken out into a run at some point. My heart bounded in my chest out of fear, because he’d completely strayed from the path. We were in the middle of woods, and I could only rely on the distant crunching of leaves.
The forest finally fell silent, and shivers rolled down my spine. I stopped, trying to hear anything. The crickets were deafening, almost, but then I heard a distant curse and something cracked. I once again took off in that direction, although I made sure to keep quiet.
I finally emerged into a small, woodland clearing. Ryan was in the center, sitting on a broken stump. He was hunched over, away from me. His foot was thumping up and down on the grass while he was muttering furiously and incoherently. In his hand, he had some damp bark. He kept cracking it over and over until portions were but dust.
He dropped the bark altogether, reaching into his pocket. This was when I finally emerged, my shoes squeaking against the tall grass. He peered at me in the darkness, his handsome features illuminated in the moonlight. I’d seen him annoyed. I’d seem him depressed. I’d seen a wide range of negative emotions, but never had I seen him so pissed. I gulped and kept walking toward him, worried he’d storm away if I didn't reach him.
Luckily, he didn’t move. And he didn’t say anything, either. He just watched as I approached, a frown firmly planted on his face. I stopped in front of him, gazing down at him. I pulled at my shirt anxiously.
“Uh, Ryan… what’s wrong?”
He rolled his eyes and stopped looking at me. “What’s wrong, she asks. Isn’t that the question of the fucking day.” I frowned, moving to place my hand on his shoulder. However, he pulled away. “Don’t touch me.”
“I… don’t get it. Were you uncomfortable by the dare? You didn’t have to kiss me. You could’ve kissed Emma —"
“Of course that’s what you think this is about,” he muttered. “God, I’m stupid for thinking you’d understand.”
“Just stop.” He rose to his feet, suddenly towering over me. I didn’t take a step back, though, instead grabbing onto the front of his shirt to keep him from escaping. He grabbed at my hands tightly, but made no attempt to pull himself free. “Stop pretending you like me more than him. You’ve made it loud and clear.”
“Ryan, you’re my best friend,” I soothed desperately. “You can tell me what’s bothering you —"
“Bull shit. You like him, Y/n. You’ve been hanging out with him all, uh, goddamn summer. You have a crush on him and it’s obvious —"
I scoffed, tugging him closer by his shirt. “You mean Dylan? You can’t be serious, Ryan. I just chose to kiss him so I didn’t make you uncomfortable —"
“What are you talking about, Ryan? We work together. Of course we’ve talked before. He’s my friend. Besides, what does it matter? I don’t have a crush on him, but why would you care? Just tell me what’s wrong —"
Ryan grabbed my shoulders, glaring angrily at me. I was caught off guard completely as he leaned down and pressed his lips against mine again. Except this time, it wasn’t for a dare. My breath caught in my throat as I stood there, letting him kiss me. My grip on his shirt loosened.
Ryan pulled away, and as frustrated as he still looked, there was something else in his eyes. I blinked at him in confusion, too taken aback to truly digest what had just happened. I opened my mouth, placing my hands on his chest.
“Don’t you get it, Y/n? I like you, dumbass,” Ryan huffed. “But clearly, you, uh, don’t feel the same way.”
“I - I’m sorry, Ryan, I didn’t know —"
“Of course you didn’t.”
Ryan suddenly pulled away, and I was left with no choice to follow him. He seemed to know the way back to the campground. I was still frightened of the woods, so despite the revelation, I attached myself to his arm in hopes of feeling safer.
“Ryan,” I suddenly spoke, and I felt his eyes watch me carefully. “Maybe when we get home, we can just… go on a test dater something. I - I’ve just never thought about you that way before. Not in the rude way, because you’re my best friend and I love you, but —"
Ryan’s sigh interrupted me, and I gulped nervously. “Y/n it’s fine. Maybe I overreacted… Just, uh… think about it. Please?”
I nodded and sent him a sweet smile. He seemed calm and complacent again, his shoulders lowering. He walked closer to me. It was a nice moment since, at least now, I din’t have to worry about romance with Ryan. We were just normal. We were just… walking through the woods… at night… all alone…
Crack.
I wanted to freeze and question what I’d just heard, but Ryan pulled me along. There was something slightly more urgent in his pace. However, I heard more nature noises as we progressed further through the woods. And then, we heard it. A deep, low growl that almost sounded human.
Ryan tensed, and we both froze, peering around the pitch black wilderness. The campfire couldn’t be too far away, and yet, whatever animal was in pursuit was hot on our trail. Ryan grabbed my arm and pulled me closer, taking up a protective stance. His frown returned. No words were exchanged, because we both realized a bear must’ve been close, although I’ve never seen one in person.
Suddenly, a growl sounded from right next to us.
“Run!” Ryan boomed.
He pushed me forward just in the knick of time, because something leapt at us from the trees. A scream bubbled in my throat as I turned and stumbled away, only to see a maroon, fleshy beast tackle Ryan to the ground. My throat burned from how harshly I cried. It was like my like flashed before my eyes as the monster tore a large chunk from Ryan’s shoulder.
The moment the monster was done chomping on my best friend, I dashed up to him. It had hopped away, taking large chunks of his flesh with him. The monster was boney and yet seemed to have the strength of a thousand men. It almost seemed as though it was a human being stripped of all its skin, as its muscles flexed. And yet, its fangs glistened in the moonlight as it stared at me predatorily. Its hand and feet were that of a beast’s; long, sharp, and capable of tearing me to shreds.
I grabbed Ryan’s arm and tried dragging him away. The beast was watching in mock amusement. My blood ran cold and yet adrenaline coursed through my veins. Ryan was heavy, especially when he was unconscious, and yet I tried to pull him in the direction of camp the best I could.
I was suddenly tackled, a large weight forcing me to abandon Ryan. The monster rolled over me, and I realized the only thing I could do was run. Otherwise, we’d both die. I panted furiously, scrambling to my feet. The beast also recovered, jumping at me. I stumbled back, and it went skyrocketing past, giving me the chance to make a run for it.
A gunshot suddenly rang out. I screamed again, and I saw the monster had been shot by a stranger. Probably a hunter, from his attire. I knew I needed to run, though. I had  to get back to camp. We had to call an ambulance.
I made a mad dash through the woods. I screamed again, but I still had to steady my breathing. I hopped over a branch. I kept running, tasting a mixture of tears and sweat dribble down my nose. I passed a late boulder.
I tripped suddenly, having forgotten about the small cliff I’d passed on the way here. Dirt coated my entire bodice, and I heard the monster jump down. A scream bubbled in my throat as I rolled just in the knick of time. It came crashing down beside me, letting out an oddly humane yelp. I pushed myself to my feet and kept running. I didn’t have enough time to escape up a tree. I’d just get grabbed.
The monster groaned, and I suddenly stopped. I passed another large rock and I snuck unto it. I pressed my back to it and slid to the ground, as to minimize my size. My heart was thudding in my chest, and I was terrified the beast had the ability to hear it.
The monster had clearly fixed itself right up. I heard it standing on the rock above me, panting and growling furiously. I made the mistake of looking up.
I was so terrified that I had become paralyzed. Peering out over the rock above me, standing on its own two feet, was the monster. It was watching the forest. Waiting for me to reveal myself. Its mouth was wide open as it huffed. It sneezed loudly, spit and blood flying from its fleshy form. It was covered head to toe in sticky blood.
I flinched when a large droplet fell from its cheek, landing directly on my cheek. I almost flinched. My lips were quivering. My eyes were shut. Oh, god, I was going to die, wasn’t I —
The monster suddenly leapt from the rock, bounding into the wilderness at top speed. I finally felt like I could breathe. The only problem was that it had ran in the direction of camp, at least where I thought it was. I had to return to Ryan. That hunter… he surely could protect us.
I shakily rose to my feet. My entire body was covered in dirt and sprayed blood. I climbed over the hill and went back the direction I came in. A sob threatened to release, but instead, I hiccuped quietly. I was so very out of stamina, though. My legs were shaking. I placed my hand against a tree to stabilize myself.
I suddenly heard the loud pounding of footsteps. I was about to scream, but when I peered over my shoulder, Dylan emerged from the darkness.
“Dylan…!” I cried, going for him immediately. The gun was slung over this back, so he easily welcomed a hug with open arms. As he stroked my hair, concern laced in his features, I stuttered further, "Ryan…! He was attacked by some monster! And - and there was a hunter - and…”
“Y/n, Y/n, breathe,” Dylan said. “You’re safe now. But if Ryan’s in danger we have to go find him.”
“Yes, yes! Let’s go!” I agreed eagerly, pulling away. I was a little light-headed and stumbled, but Dylan grabbed my arm.
“Wait, it’s dangerous. You should go back to the camp —"
“No, Dylan, I can’t. I have to make sure Ryan’s okay —"
“Okay, okay! Just stay, uh, alert,” Dylan caved instantly. “Let’s go.”
I urgently tugged on his arm in the direction I came from. It was crazy to me, that not even ten minutes ago, Ryan had confessed. And now was bleeding out because some supernatural… thing had attacked him. He could be dead right now, and could have no idea.
We trotted through the wilderness. We paused simultaneously, though, as up ahead we heard something dragging through the shrubbery. Dylan quietly pulled the gun out, and as we entered the clearing, I gasped.
Dylan held the gun up threateningly. The hunter from before was dragging Ryan’s struggling and conscious body. “Hey! Get the fuck off of him! Yeah, you heard me!” Dylan threatened.
“Stop! Drop him or h - he’ll shoot!” I shrieked.
The hunter looked up. However, he continued dragging Ryan. Who was fighting the hunter, and when his eyes landed on me, that even fueled him further. Tears sprouted in my eyes once more and I cowered behind Dylan, clutching his waist.
Dylan gulped, repositioning the gun. He brought his eye up to the aim, and only then did I realize the hunter was coated head to toe in blood. All I could hope was that it wasn’t Ryan’s.
Ryan pushed at the man, suddenly full of energy, when he realized Dylan wasn’t planning on shooting. I squealed when he suddenly bit the man’s hand. He screamed at the top of his lungs. None of us could’ve predicted that he would shoot off his own finger.
He dropped Ryan entirely and made a run for it. I finally felt safe enough to emerge from Dylan, running and collapsing next to Ryan. He propped himself on one elbow, his sweat glistening in the moonlight. He was panting profusely, terror prevalent in his gaze.
His free arm grabbed me and pulled me closer. I bit my lip as I pulled Ryan to sit up against me, and once I did so, I ran my fingers through his hair. Dylan ran up to us, gun still. Poised for any other predators. “Ryan, oh god… I’m sorry I had to leave, b - but it was going to kill me —"
“Y/n, it’s fine,” he grunted. “Are you hurt?”
I chuckled dryly. “You’re the one with a missing shoulder, and yet you ask me if I’m hurt?”
Dylan tapped his foot anxiously. “Guys. I hate to break this up, but, like, there’s something out there and dudes covered in blood. We have to head back.”
“Oh, thank god,” I groaned. I tucked an arm underneath Ryan’s arm pit. The one that was uninjured, of course. Dylan was still on guard, but he offered Ryan a hand. We were able to get him on his two feet and, slowly but surely, headed back to the campfire.

BB20: Wednesday 1 November
The day starts with some classic BB20 conflict resolution, with Dylan apologising to Trish and Noky for shouting at them.
Olivia really has shown growth in the house. She faced eviction, and her supposed friend Noky was involved in that decision - but Olivia's stoic and calm. Very different from when she was nominated by Jenkin on day 1.
Poor Jordan. He really needs space from Matty - this isn't a flirtation that's bringing him long-term joy. But stuck in the Big Brother house with nothing to do, it's really hard to stay away.
Nominations!
Henry nominates Dylan for being divisive and snappy, and Paul for being inconsiderate at bedtime.
Olivia nominates Trish for causing Olivia to face eviction yesterday, and Noky for being involved in the decision. Heartbreaking! Olivia and Noky were friends!
Noky nominates Paul - he accused her of being fake - and Dylan. She found his behaviour unacceptable, regardless of later apology.
Chanelle nominates Dylan and Trish for creating an unpleasant situation that made the house feel divided.
Matty nominates Olivia for being annoying and loud, and Dylan for accusing Trish and Noky of black-on-black crime.
Jenkin nominates Dylan for shouting at Trish, and Noky for being a game-player.
Yinrun nominates Dylan for losing his temper, and Paul for OTT and offensive jokes and pranks.
Dylan nominates Trish and Noky for having a problem with him that they won't be open about.
Paul nominates Trish for being a gameplayer, and Noky for talking about his personal life behind his back (and not being her Authentic Genuine Self).
Jordan nominates Jenkin for being curt with him, and Noky whom he thinks is insincere.
Tom nominates Noky for being two-faced, and Trish for being controlling.
Trish nominates Dylan since she feels like his emotional punching bag, and Paul for hypocrisy; in the past, he's kicked off about people taking things too seriously, but then took Noky's and Trish's nomination task very seriously himself.
Omg, double eviction this week! Dylan, Paul, Trish and Noky all face the vote. All three black housemates! Really curious to see who's saved.
The shopping task this week, each housemate was given £5 to spend on their own personal choices. When the shopping comes, Yinrun feels like there's tremendous scrutiny of her things - people checking to make absolutely sure she's not taking anything that isn't hers.
Meanwhile, Tom and Paul hoard an absolute mountain of snacks that aren't theirs.
Henry reckons the Jordan-Matty dynamic is becoming all-consuming. He feels caught in the middle, and selfishly feels like he's losing Jordan. He's never felt this way before, and is worried he's being cringe.
Jordan and Matty have their thousandth conversation about their relationship. Jordan is Martha Jones, that's the problem. There's no way for these two to have a healthy relationship until they go their separate ways, and Jordan can find happiness elsewhere.
Jordan reckons his friendship with Henry is platonic. I think this is probably broadly true. Henry's jealousy isn't romantic - rather, Jordan's his best friend, and Henry feels abandoned when Jordan goes off with Matty.
Incredibly strange interaction next.
Chanelle talks with Yinrun and Noky on one side of the bedroom.
On the other side of the bedroom, Jenkin, Tom, Paul and Olivia bitch - half-jokingly? - about Chanelle being on the cool side of the room. Olivia mocks the "cool side" by saying "it's so hard being an outsider".
They plan a Mean Girls move against Chanelle. They will call her over, do a little arm-slapping manoeuvre, and say "iced out!"
When they do this, Chanelle doesn't understand what "iced out" means. They tell her it means they're not her friend anymore. Chanelle rolls her eyes and goes to wash her face - unphased, unhurt.
It is notable that the "cool side" (presumably Yinrun, Trish, Henry, Jordan - maybe Noky and Matty?) haven't lost a single housemate to eviction. The non-outsiders' gang lost Zak - and Olivia specifically lost Hallie and Kerry. And now Paul faces eviction (admittedly alongside Trish, Noky and Dylan).
So it's interesting seeing insecurity from the group that might, in the real world, enjoy the most privileged status.
Jenkin comes to talk to Chanelle, and yep, the callout hurt her more than she let on. She's particularly upset by Jenkin. She won't talk to him for now. Jenkin says "I love you" about a thousand times, but Chanelle says nothing back.

Chapter warnings: Past kidnapping, past child abuse, past violence Chapter rating: T Chapter title: 11/22/2018 Word count: 3500 Summary: The kids adjust to the new members of their little group. Dylan accidentally does a backstory. Other than that, shenanagins
"Ow."
Sam made it a point to make that exact sound whenever the hair brush would go over any strand of hair, even if it wasn't even tangled. Didn't matter.
"Well, if you'd just done this ages ago-" Jaxon made a noise through gritted teeth, trying to untangle a knot with little success. "I wouldn't have to tear your hair out."
"You don't have to tear my hair out." Sam made an effort to reach for the hairbrush. Jaxon raised it high above his head and patted the kid's hair. "Give it-"
"Nope!" Jaxon grinned. He hit Sam on the top of the head with the back of the brush gently. "I saw you with this the other day. You tapped the bristles against your head and called it a day."
"Ow." Sam suddenly jerked his head to the side, and Jaxon glared lightly.
"Don't move, you're not helping."
As if just to annoy him, Sam starting dancing with only his head. Jaxon sighed.
Jaxon had to bribe the kid into letting him do this. Seeing the amount of matted knots in Sam's hair was making him upset, and it wasn't even his hair. The bribe ended up being a plate of dinosaur-shaped chicken nuggets, crinkle cut french fries, and apple slices.
"This is awful." Sam said, audibly wincing. Jaxon ruffled his hair a bit.
"You're awful," Jaxon retorted jokingly. "We're done, so get out of my room, kid."
He made a shoo motion with his hand, reaching out to steal one of Sam's chicken nuggets. Sam gasped from the betrayal.
Jaxon shrugged lightheartedly, smiling.
"You're still in my room."
---
Ryan reminded Cass of a younger Leo, strangely enough.
A small kid with dark brown, nearly black, hair and silver eyes and freckles, donning an oversized, gray sweater. He was very quiet, really only talked to Leo and Sam, but he was a smart kid.
At around Ryan's age, Leo had been very sensitive and quiet, like him. The similarities between the twins and the triplets seemed a bit jarring now. The younger three didn't know that they were siblings.
Leo had told her not to tell them. Not yet, at least. They had too much on their plates, trying to adjust to a normal routine, and with so much sensory input all at once, the triplets were overwhelmed. And so, it wasn't time to add in the fact that they suddenly had sisters.
Dylan and Lily didn't know either, though Cass didn't get why. Leo just didn't give a reason.
Cass had been finishing setting up her room, she'd put it off for the past few days, and a soft knock had interrupted her, and Ryan stood on the other side.
Nervously shifting on his feet, wringing his hands together, cheeks tinted pink with embarrassment, and Cass only smiled and asked if he needed anything.
He only wanted to know how their magic worked. He'd gone around and he'd asked what everyone else could do, and he'd come to the conclusion that Cass's was the least dangerous, so he would like to see it, please.
He'd been so polite and so nervous that Cass didn't have the heart to say no, so she smiled and sat down and patted the spot next to her. She'd be happy to show him, she had said.
After careful consideration, Cass picked an easier flower, one that didn't require a lot of concentration on her part, and Ryan had watched in amazement, as a small stem grew from her palm, and formed a white flower.
"It's called an asphodel," Cass said, handing the flower to Ryan.
Ryan nodded and turned the flower in his hand. "You don't have a tattoo like Sam and me."
He was right. She and Leo both didn't have any sort of mark. Maybe they were supposed to have been taken out of that lab early. She'd talk to Leo later.
As some sort of demonstration, Ryan held out his hand. On the back of his thin, pale hand was a blue teardrop.
"Do you know what it means?" Ryan asked, and looked at her with a desperate look on his face, like he'd wanted to know his whole life.
"I don't," Cass answered. She hadn't even known there were other people with magic that wasn't herself and Leo up until three weeks ago. "Have you asked Logan?
Ryan shook his head. "They represent what type of magic you have, right?"
Cass nodded. "I think so."
His eyes lit up like a little kid in a candy store, and it was adorable. "Maybe I can control water, then? That'd be so cool!"
He patted the ground with his hands quickly, bouncing with excitement, as he started spewing facts about marine biology- all of which he had learned within the past week, absorbed like a sponge- with an excited grin as he rambled, and Cass paid attention as best as she could.
This kid was definitely Leo's brother.
---
"What are you doing?" Leo asked flatly, arms crossed as she sat on the couch, watching Lily attempt to put a tree in the living room.
"Decorating!" Lily answered cheerfully, like it was supposed to be obvious. "I'm starting Christmas early."
One of Leo's many pet peeves was those people who set up Christmas trees the day after Halloween, or the people who put up Halloween decorations in July, people who did things months too early. Evidentially, Lily did everything Leo notoriously hated. Without fail.
"You're the most insufferable person I've ever met."
"Aw! That's the nicest thing you've ever said to me," Lily shot back, nearly dropping the tree on herself.
"Untrue," Logan said as he walked past, holding a tray of cookies. "You two got married when we were kids. Want some cookies?"
Both the girls stared at him like he'd grown a second head. Lily went to get a cookie anyway, despite what he'd just told them.
"We were what?" Leo finally asked, stealing one of Logan's leaf-shaped cookies.
Logan only snickered. He knew exactly what he was doing "It was your idea, Leo. You said, and I quote, people get married when they like each other, and we like each other, so we're getting married. It was quite adorable, really. We had a whole ceremony. You two begged me not to take any pictures."
Leo groaned into her hands, deeply, deeply embarrassed. Her whole face heated up. Logan laughed again.
"Do you know why your nickname is Lily?" Logan asked, amused at their collective embarrassment.
Lily shook her head, face a deep crimson. "Don't tell me."
"There were a patch of lilies growing behind the fence in the yard," Logan said, still grinning. "And when Leo learned what they were called, she called them pretty, and decided that Lilith was close to Lily, and it stuck."
"And Leo, your nickname came from Lily, too. I don't really remember why, though." Logan snickered once again, while Lily glared into his soul and Leo refused to move her head from where they were safely planted in her hands. "Anyways, have you seen Dylan around? I've got cookies to hand out."
Lily took a deep breath and straightened herself out. "Took that one kid to the park. They said they'd be back at around three or four."
The rule if anyone left the house was to tell Logan, or any of the older kids, but typically Logan, exactly where they were going, and what time they'd be back, so that they'd know when and where to start looking for them if they didn't come back on time.
Logan nodded and gave them both a small salute, moving out of the living room in search of Cass.
There was a long stretch of silence between the remaining two.
"Why is he like this?" Leo muttered, still red.
"That was terrible." Lily agreed with a nod. "We don't tell the others?
"Humiliating. Of course not."
"It never happened."
---
The weather in November was inconsistent. It had snowed just last week, but it was fifty-seven degrees today, and the sun was out, the snow had melted.
A lot of people didn't like the park when it was November, or any time other than May or June, really. The grass was wet and squishy and dull, small puddles formed where the snow had been to create a muddy slush. It was a bit chilly, but it wasn't unbearable. Not to Dylan, at least. They were sure that Leo had other thoughts.
The sun was out, but it wasn't warm. The sun certainly helped it to not be freezing cold, not yet, anyways.
Today was no different, in terms of other people's whereabouts. No one visited the park in November, so it wasn't busy.
It had only been six days since the twins had come back with three younger kids, actually only a year younger than Dylan was. Ten and a half, according to Sam, their birthdays were in April. Dylan was eleven (and a half, but half birthdays were stupid, in their opinion) with a birthday in March.
Five new people living in their house, previously only containing four, was an adjustment. Leo stayed up late every night, and woke up early, but Cass always slept in, so there was a three-hour period where it would only be Leo and Dylan, from around five in the morning to seven. And then, Logan would get up, and then Lily and Jaxon, and finally Cass.
At first, Dylan didn't like it. It had been sudden, they'd assumed Leo was just staying the night when she and Jaxon stayed up all night playing video games, and then the twins were still there when they came back from school. And then they stayed the week, and now they were staying semi-permanently. Indefinitely.
So they had to adjust, adapt, but only a bit, because the twins didn't disrupt their normal routine too badly. They stayed out of each other's way, for the most part. There was still the three-hour-period where Leo and Dylan would be the only two awake, but that became routine after a while.
They never really did anything for that three-hour period. Leo would watch a movie on one end of the couch, Dylan would read on the other end, and there was a silent agreement to not talk, to not interrupt the other one.
Dylan adjusted to having the twins stay over after two weeks, so they were sure that it wouldn't take too long to adjust with the triplets.
They liked the triplets, really. Dylan never really had friends their own age, because Jaxon and Lily and Logan didn't count. Jaxon was fourteen, Lily was fifteen, and Logan was twenty-two, and they were siblings anyway. Leo and Cass were sixteen, so they didn't count either.
Ryan didn't talk to anyone who wasn't Sam or Leo, and eventually Logan after a while. Dylan offered to teach him sign language instead, so they were doing that every afternoon. Ryan liked to have a routine, like Dylan did, so it worked out.
Sam was like Jaxon, very energetic and very loud, they hadn't really talked to Sam all that much, but Sam and Ryan were attached at the hip, so Sam usually accompanied Ryan in the afternoons.
Dylan didn't really know much about Elliot. There would be a few times where they would wake up and Elliot would be asleep in increasingly impossible locations; the top of the refrigerator, inside a cupboard, under the table, the lid of the dishwasher. He'd wake up, be disoriented, and then would go back upstairs. It was weird. Elliot was also missing an eye, paced around the living room while talking to himself, and would flinch at loud noises, bright lights, anything, really.
The park was empty today, the triplets hadn't left the house in five days, and Elliot was a very weird kid. But Dylan couldn't help but be curious, so they invited him to go to the park. They were met with reluctance, but he agreed. They took a certain pride in being the first one out of all of them to get one of the triplets outside.
Dylan picked up on a few things from the short walk from their house to the park. For instance, Elliot kept talking to himself, and he would glance behind his shoulder, and he wouldn't let go of Dylan's hand, and he had three tattoos on his hands. And two of them were the same as Dylan's.
Being able to do two different types of magic wasn't unheard of, case in point, Dylan themself. Magic was something someone was born with, and it could be defined by a blood test at birth, but it wouldn't be set in stone until the person was five years old. After that, it had to be unlocked. From Dylan's experience, it was unlocked from any sort of moment that was particularly stressful, traumatic, or overall something bad.
For Dylan and Jaxon, it had been the exact same day, the exact same incident. Logan and Lily were a similar case, having formed during their escape. Dylan and Jaxon hadn't known them yet, not for another handful of months. They weren't sure about Leo and Cass.
On Elliot's right hand was a tattoo in the shape of a cloud, similar to Dylan's. On his left hand was a skull, like Dylan's. The one that Dylan did not have was the black circle on Elliot's wrist. They didn't know what the last one meant.
Having two powers suddenly activate at the same time, Dylan had been sure they were dying. Jaxon had been laying next to them, below a fallen tree, and had a seizure when his activated, so Dylan doubted it was a pleasant experience for him either. If Elliot's had activated at the same time, and Dylan thought they would die with just two, they couldn't imagine three.
The two ended up sitting on a stone wall, watching a crow land on the top of an empty swing set. Elliot watched Dylan sketch the bird on a sheet of paper, and Dylan had offered to give one to Elliot, but he must not have understood the gesture, as he simply stared at Dylan with a confused look.
Eventually, Dylan finished sketching the crow, and they thought it turned out well. They would have colored it if they thought to bring colored pencils. There wasn't much else to do, as Elliot seemed perfectly content to just sit, and stare.
Leo had been teaching the triplets how to read, write, do math and stuff. Ryan and Sam knew how, because their room had provided books and paper. Elliot (by extension, Dylan and Jaxon's. Apparently, they had the same room) had not gotten any of it. In the mornings, the triplets would work on a few pages in some workbooks Leo bought for an hour or two. Ryan and Sam would sit back-to-back on the carpet, but Elliot would sit far, far away.
Ryan had gone from a kindergarten level to third grade in two days, and would work on the workbooks late into the night. Sam was smart, but he was distractible, and couldn't sit still for more than ten minutes at a time. Through trial and error, they found out that all he worked better with a show playing in the background and with a pen to click. He was at a second-grade level, but he was catching up. Elliot struggled a bit more, but only because he simply refused to do it. He wasn't good at reading or writing, and had terrible handwriting. He could be easily bribed, however, and it turned out that he was quite good at science. The only reason he was at a fourth-grade level was because of the space chapter.
Dylan hesitated, and waited. Elliot knew they couldn't hear very well, really they could only hear high-pitched sounds and particularly loud noises, so he didn't speak, and only stared. From what they knew, Elliot did not speak in a high-pitched voice, and he was very quiet. They had the feeling that Elliot was simply monotone in everything he did.
A few minutes passed in their silence, not nearly as uncomfortable as Dylan imagined it would be, before Elliot lifted the sheet of paper and set it on the stone wall they were sitting on, and tapped it a few times with a pencil.
Another handful of seconds passed, and Elliot handed it back to Dylan, a nervous look on his face.
A simple greeting, a shaky hello in bad handwriting. Dylan grinned, the first conversation they'd ever had with Elliot. Dylan wrote their own hello back.
Unlike Sam, Elliot had never learned any of the sign language they were teaching Ryan. With the other two, they could have a short conversation, but if Ryan was in a room, and if Sam was in a room, Elliot avoided it like the plague.
They had a whole conversation by writing back and forth on the sheet of paper, and they ended up having a lot in common. They liked the same cartoons, they both wanted a pet cat.
Dylan hadn't meant to tell Elliot. Really, it was a secret that Jaxon and Dylan agreed to take to the grave, with the only other person who knew was Logan, because Logan had to make sure Jaxon wouldn't die from brain damage, and he had to make sure to buy the right things for Dylan's newfound inability to hear. They felt bad for not telling Lily. All their sister knew was that Dylan couldn't hear, and that Jaxon had brain damage. She never asked anything else.
And yet, he told Elliot. The boy they barely knew. Because Ryan related to the fact that Elliot lost an eye.
Elliot had told Dylan, when Dylan asked why he didn't want to be around his brothers, that Ryan caused the blindness, but he couldn't remember how. He didn't think Ryan was the one to directly stab him, but he was related to the incident, and Elliot had no memory of it.
So, Dylan in turn told him how they went deaf. Because a similar story had fully crumbled the carefully-constructed walls they put up.
Jaxon had been nine years old, and Dylan had been six. A man from the lab, his name was Oliver, had let the two into a van, and drove out into the forest in New Hampshire from Maryland. He couldn't bring them all the way to the city, it was too dangerous, so he left them in the woods. It was a dreary January, and it was snowing, and they almost died. The man left them with a bag of food, forty-five cents, and bottled water, but they were running low.
Jaxon had a meltdown on the fifth day. When they'd tried to ration but there wasn't enough to keep them alive and they were cold. And a snowstorm hit. The two had been near a lake, and the meltdown got worse, and they couldn't see from the snowstorm, and Jaxon fell into the water, and his magic activated only a minute before.
Jaxon pulled himself out of the water, but not fast enough. The sudden, pure electricity and the freezing water hadn't reacted well together, or so went the theory, and Dylan wasn't paying attention, focused on trying to stay warm, and trying to find Jaxon. They couldn't see him through the thick snowstorm.
The electric current hit land, and exploded next to where Dylan was, and Jaxon shoved them out of the way, but the tree the explosion hit broke at the trunk, and it collapsed where Jaxon stood, and for a long time, there was nothing but muffled screaming and a constant ringing and a burning feeling in their heart that Dylan thought was a heart attack, and for an hour, their vision had been nothing but blackness that burned even worse, and they had sat in the snowstorm, huddled in a ball, probably screaming. For an hour, it felt like they were being torn apart slowly, drowning in pure darkness and silence, too cold to move, while Jaxon had been crushed by a tree and was having a seizure.
They both should have died that day.
Dylan turned it into a lesson, taking after Logan, to tell Elliot that they forgave Jaxon the moment he regained consciousness after three days of carrying him on their back and nearly being hit by a few cars. They'd only collapsed after the three days, under the slide of the park they were at. Lily had seen them on a walk with Logan to the store, and had begged him to help them. Of course, it was Logan, and it didn't take much convincing.
Dylan had forgiven Jaxon, because they were too relieved to be angry. Maybe Elliot could give Ryan a chance. And maybe Dylan could tell Lily the truth and hope she didn't tear Jaxon to shreds.
Elliot agreed with a curt nod, and they went home. It was getting late.

Horror Games Night: The Quarry- Playthrough Summary
Okay so there were a total of 4-5 of us:
Player 1:
Flake: Flake had to leave early, so she only ended up playing the prologue. She knew almost nothing about this game. She picked Laura and Emma to play as.
She was subbed in by Rookie who had to arrive late. Rookie had never played a video game before. So we were all keen to see how many characters she’d kill off.
Player 2:
PC: PC wasn’t really much of a console gamer. She hadn’t heard much about The Quarry, but had apparently “seen some clips” with Dylan so she nabbed him up in the character selection, followed by Abigail.
Player 3
Me: Now I respect the horror genre but I wasn’t gonna play through a horror game blind. So I did see one play-through where the streamer tried to get the worse ending. I’d ended up with Ryan and Jacob. (Ended up liking Jacob more than I thought I would.)
Player 4:
Sister: Already knew everything about the game. Had seen several different play-throughs and knew where to find all the evidence. (She wouldn’t drop any hints to how to keep our characters alive tho.) Because of this she decided to play as Nick and Kaitlyn since they wouldn’t impact the story as much as other characters.
I’ll give a full summary, with spoilers, under the cut!
Also I have some thoughts about this game and want to do a review with some critique, (like yeah, having no concluding ending is an issue, but I wanna see if my other issues with the characters/story come from the particular playthough) But I’ll wait until my sister and I replay the game before I post that.
So, Emma was doomed the moment Rookie picked up the controller. She died on the island. (To Rookie’s credit, she did hit the first QTE. Then proceeded to miss the rest of them).
PC started pushing Dylan at Ryan the moment she found out gay was in the game. I obliged her in the Truth or Dare game (Even tho I was curious at what the truth options were.)
We spent a good five minutes just walking around the Shady Glade just vibing to the sunset and tunes.
I’ll have you know I got the “In the Nick of time” achievement.
*Characters pulling injured Nick out of the forest* Me (To stister): If there’s an option to chop his leg off, I’m doing it. Sister: Hey! Game: *Does not let me chop off leg.* Me: Awww... :(
Three hours later
Dylan: *Waving an infected hand* “Quick you have to chop it off!” Me: Fuck yeah! Amputation time!
Me reaching the island as Jacob: Wow, if only Emma was here. We could reunite and run off into the forest together. Rookie: Hey, I don’t play video games!
So I jokingly started a no gun run which lasted me pretty well until I killed both Ryan and Laura (and Travis) in one fell swoop by deciding to not shoot Chris.
Rookie: Hey, at least I didn’t kill Laura. Sister: Mmm yeah, I wonder who did that >:| Me: Eh-heh :)
Truth be told, if we hadn’t of already killed Emma and missed a piece of evidence I might have reconsidered, but we weren’t gonna get the “everyone lives” ending by that point anyway so, I decided to commit.
Despite that I did manage to keep Jacob alive until the end , despite him being one of the characters who can die most often. This was also despite the game throwing a fast ball at me in his very last scene and sending Chris after him.
(This also involved me yelling at my sister to tell me how to save Jacob from the electric cage. Sister:  MHMHM welll... WHooooo knows??? Me: *Louder Yelling*)
Shout out to sister for keeping both Dylan and Kaitlyn alive in the last scene since neither of them had gotten bitten. (Which was pretty lucky, since PC could have messed that up by not picking up the stuffed toy at the beginning of the game)
So yeah, that’s most the interesting stuff that happened. Fav section was probably the the junk yard. Plus maybe saving Jacob from the electric cages.
My sister and I are planning a  rerun to try and get the “everyone gets bitten” and the “Everyone lives” achievements in one game. I’ll be posting my full thoughts on this game.

I don’t post much about teen wolf on here but I want to share this for posterity, and to be able to read it again after the movie comes out lol
My teen wolf movie 2022 predictions specifically about sterek:
Worst case scenario:
Its just season 6b all over again. The plot revolves entirely around scott and/or liam and the fan favorite characters are barely even in the movie at all, possibly showing up at the last minute to help à la “you thought you could do this without us?” Every time a character gets reintroduced they walk in dramatically and say a witty line while the camera pans in on them so the audience can fangirl about it. Lydia is a key player again and mentions that she and stiles are still dating. Derek or Sties might not be in the movie at all (Idk if tyler hoechlin and dylan are coming back yet or not)
Best case scenario:
Both Stiles and Derek are in the movie. That’s literally all I want out of this. They maybe make a reference to how they’ve reconnected after the whole fbi thing and now they sometimes help each other solve mysteries or something. I’m not hopeful enough to believe an actual reference to sterek would happen but this opens up the concept for a new wave of fanfiction after the movie which I would enjoy a lot.
Most likely scenario:
If both dylan and tyler actually get confirmed as cast the press/interviewees are going to make a couple vague references and teases hinting at sterek, then what actually happens in the movie is during a typical teen wolf action scene derek is going to take down some monster (or hunter, based on where the show left off?) and the action pauses for a second. Stiles jokingly says something like “oh my god, that was so hot” or “you know, I’ve always been attracted to you” and derek rolls his eyes and gives him a bitch face before the plot interrupts and the whole thing is never mentioned again. Fans nonetheless FREAK OUT over it and it’s upheld as the moment “sterek became canon” forever despite being the lackluster nonconclusion to a long series of blatant queerbaiting.

The Rest Of Our Lives - Mason Mount Series 🦋 (Chapter Three) Departure
Warnings: none but next chapter is smutty ;)
Recommended Listening: Forever by Labrinth (Slowed).
Taglist: @storyofavengers
——————————————————————————
After releasing me from the hug I was immersed in, I quickly went to the bathroom whilst Mason waited patiently for me outside in the hallway. Once I had finished and came back out to meet him, the little smirk on his face made my heart so full. Maybe he really did miss me like he had said, but if so why didn’t he get in contact sooner? I guess he was afraid of the rejection but I really did wish he had still tried. At the end of the day, we only regret the chances we didn’t take. Of course I was still hurt by him, but I did want to give him his chance to explain everything, even if it meant we wouldn’t rekindle the friendship like it once was, and we would still go our separate ways again.
“You alright?,” he asked in a soft tone.
“Yeah..” I gave him a small smile before he nodded and took my hand leading me back upstairs to the nightclub’s centre-point. It was only at the top of the stairs that we were caught in our tracks by a stunning blonde-haired girl who had recognised my old best friend.
“Mase gorgeous, how are you? I haven’t heard from you or seen you in a while. I thought you might have fell of the face of the earth or something.” she piped up. His reaction was like a deer caught in headlights. Who the hell was this? I knew it wasn’t his girlfriend but she seemed to be someone who was at one stage more than just a friend like I was.
“Uh, hi Olivia, yeah..” he began to speak back to her. “I um, I’ve just been busy sorry, I’m good how are you?” he continued unconfidently, itching to get away from this current conversation.
“Too busy, huh?.” She raised her eyebrows and chuckled. I was standing there so awkwardly, not knowing what to do or where to look. She didn’t pay attention to me once, her eyes fixated on the brown-haired man beside me. “And here’s me thinking Mason Mount would never be too busy to reply or spend some time with me..” she gasped jokingly, but I knew she was being serious and I really didn’t like the vibe I was getting off her. My heart began shattering again out of jealousy. It’s amazing how you can go without seeing someone for years and even though they broke you, in an instant all the feelings and memories come rushing back. And that’s exactly what happened when I saw Mason on the street earlier this night. Even though it was /my/hand he was still holding, I still felt threatened.
“Awh no.. I mean.. I don’t know. I’m sorry as I said I’ve just been really busy,” was all he could come up with as a response, his palm becoming sweaty interlaced with my own. You know when you can feel your heart beating in another part of your body? I could feel his through his hand in my grasp.
“Hmm okay.” She said with barely any emotion behind it. “So who’s this little one then? Your new girl?” Her attention was now focused on me, now frozen with a tightness in my chest. I should have spoken up. I wanted to. But I was unable to. Thankfully, Mason covered for me.
“Uh, no she’s just a.. a friend..” he trailed off, so unsure of his answer and looking across at me, his eyes soliciting for an answer. Realistically, we were former friends. But within time, we both hoped we could drop the former. Slowly nodding as reassurance, I turned back to look at the the tall woman standing in front of me.
“Just friends?” her eyes widened with a smug look, pointing towards our intertwined fingers. I went to let go of Mason’s hand but his grip tightened, letting me know it was okay and he had the situation under control.
“Yeah this is my childhood best friend Sophie. I uh- I ran into her down outside the bathrooms and she wasn’t feeling the best so I said I’d bring her back upstairs and take her home. I just wanted to keep her close in case she fainted or anything.” he announced. Her eyes were now practically staring into my soul, but buying it, she just replied with an ‘oh’ and I signalled in agreement once again.
“Well, that was nice of you.” She smiled pompously. “Anyhoo, you have my number. Don’t be stranger.”
“Right.” Mason gulped and she winked walking away. Once gone, he turned to look at me again, apologising with his eyes. I bit my lip and shook my head to let him know that it was alright and that we didn’t have to talk about it. To be honest, I did want to talk about it. I wanted to know who she was. Was he sleeping with her? And if so was it going to progress any further? So many questions filled my mind but I tried to forget about them, telling myself that it was none of my business and it was before we had reconnected to night anyways.
Making our way over to Hollie, the look of disappointment across of her face said more than words ever could. She was relieved to see that I hadn’t gone missing, but she wasn’t too impressed that on my return I had brought back Mason with me. Giving me a moment to talk to her, Mason stepped away, resting his arm on the bar counter and facing the dance floor.
“What’s going on, are you okay? I went looking for you but I seen you talking to him from the top of the stairs and I didn’t want to interrupt.” She whispered sympathetically.
“Yeah I’m fine, thank you Hol. And I’m sorry I left you for so long.” I replied.
“No no, don’t be sorry. I was more than alright up here, I was talking to that bartender for ages anyways. I’m sorry Soph, I didn’t realise he would be here too. Is everything okay between you both?”
I wanted to say yes. But was everything okay between us both? I mean for now it was. I was giving him his opportunity to talk to me, but I hadn’t heard his side of the story yet nor had I forgiven him. Trying to find the right words to respond with, I took a deep breath.
“It’s not your fault Hollie, I was the one who said I wanted to come here in the first place. And I guess for now yeah. I’m giving him a chance to clear up everything and get some clarity on the whole thing. It doesn’t mean we’re going to go back to being how we were before but at least if we can be on civil terms.. I don’t know that’s got to be worth something right?” I asked, in hope of encouragement.
Hollie was the best friend a girl could ask for. She was more like a big sister despite me being older; a little dumb and clumsy at times, but no matter how many bad and possibly avoidable situations she put herself in, she would always make sure I didn’t do the same. She only wanted the best for me, as did I for her, so she basically made herself the crash test dummy and tried to advise me as much as possible. And she always made me laugh and smile without fail, after every heart break, every failure, basically anything terrible circumstance you can think of. She was always there.
“Well that’s your choice and I think it’s fair enough.” She gave me a fragile smile. “Just be smart and don’t let him hurt you again Soph. I seen how much pain and anguish you were in tonight and I never want to see you like that again. It’s alright that you want some light shed and some closure on the situation, but don’t let him blindside you and destroy your heart again, okay?” she raised her brows, placing both hands either side of my shoulders to make sure I was listening. Nodding to let her know I understood, she gave me a full warm smile back.
“Okay, so I think I’m going back to Dylan’s house once he’s finished his shift”. She added, referring to the bartender who was now waving at us. “But I don’t know what your plans are so I don’t have to if you don’t want me to and you need me.”
“No no, you go. I’ll find out what Mase and I are doing and once I’m back home and safe I’ll give you a text and let you know. If I need you at any stage I’ll call you.” I said before giving her a hug and getting ready to leave.
“Okay, I’ll do the same!” She mumbled, and with that I rejoined Mason who had finished informing his teammates and friends what was happening. Putting an arm around my waist, we had left the nightclub once again with crisp and fresh night air.
——————————————————————————-
Quick A/N: AHH I’m so excited for the next chapter you guys are gonna love it I hope! Also, the reason I put listening recommendations is to help you all imagine what I’m visualising when I right my stories and ideas! Music basically helps me set the scene. When you’re listening to the song attached to this post, I want y’all to try visualise yourself walking in slow-mo through a crowded nightclub holding hands with THE Mason Mount. Everyone looking at you both leaving, but he’s looking back every so often just to make sure you’re okay. Just imagine. That’s all :)

DYLAN O’BRIEN X READER
A/N: wassup im backk! okay not really school is once again kicking my arse and im back to posting once every century *finger guns* but yeah I’m now obsessed with dylan obrien again and wrote this. - Also, sad note, my computer is not letting me update my masterlist so my Tom Holland x reader and this post won’t be on there but everything can still be accessed via my profile. Thankss :))
SUMMARY: You and dylan are camp counsellors and are leading a kayaking activity together (i suck at summaries)
Maybe gets a lil spicy spicy hehe
Tumblr media
You walk into the canteen, a bubbling group of 8 year old's behind you bouncing with adrenaline from just completing the trampolining activity. You walk them over to the tables laid out in a long row, ensuring every kid was seated before taking your own place. You chatted with a few of the campers as they patiently waited for lunch. Before long the canteen was becoming packed with campers and counsellors alike, and you turned when you heard a particularly rowdy group of kids enter, lead by none other than Dylan, a red bandana tied around his head and a wide grin plastered on his face. He immediately caught your eye and sauntered over to your table, followed by his kids as they merged with yours. Dylan plonked himself in the empty seat next to you since Alyssa had moved up to make room for him. You had whisper shouted at her not to but Dylan come over before she could move back. "Hellooo ladies." Dylan beamed at you, crossing his arms in front of him. You rolled your eyes but a small smile slipped onto your lips. "How was trampolining?" He asked the group of campers sitting near to him, catching you by surprise as he must have looked at what you had on your rota. "It was awesome!" Arthur responded, eagerly exclaiming from a few seats down. "Yeah Y/N showed us her backflip!" Kiera cheered from beside you, making Dylan raise his eyebrows in surprise at you. "Oh really?" His mouth twitched with a slight lopsided smirk. Last night, you, Dylan and some other counsellors had the night off and were allowed to hang out in the indoor sports area. You had ended up dragging Dylan over to the trampolines, wanting to bounce and do your very impressive forward rolls. Dylan had almost ended up pissing himself when he saw you roll haphazardly across the trampolines, hair becoming staticy. You had pouted and shoved him playfully, jokingly teasing that he couldnt do any better. Of course Dylan had then proceeded to back flip in front of you, making you feel overwhelmingly embarassed. He had laughed at your shocked face that quickly turned appalled when he asked if you wanted him to teach you how to do it. You had very reluctantly (okay so maybe not that reluctantly when dylan pulled your hand into his) agreed to let him teach you how to do it. He got a mat for going underneath you incase you fell and you were surprised with how careful he was being, Dylan normally being so utterly careless and clumsy. He had started with getting you to just bounce, laughing at your frustrated face. You soon progressed onto the actual flipping, starting off with Dylan holding your back and upper legs to help you master the movement before you managed to do it yourself. By the end of the evening you had mastered a pretty impressive backflip, feeling proud of yourself and way more confident in your new trampolining skills. Dylan of course had loved every second of it, playfully teasing and coaching you whilst maybe also enjoying having an excuse to touch you. You looked sheepishly to Dylan as Kiera continued to babble on about trampolining and he nudged your shoulder with his, "proud of you." You grinned but also felt your entire body heat up with the soft gaze of affection Dylan was looking at you with. You muttered a thanks, being interrupted by the shrill echoes of the lunchtime bell. Amy, the head counsellor, stepped to the front of the canteen as always, making sure everyone knew what was going on before she announced which table would get food first. Soon, it came to your table and you queued up behind the campers, waiting with Dylan at the back. Grabbing you both a tray you handed him his, to which he grinned and thanked you. You headed over to the hot food station, one of the workers serving you a sausage roll before you walked to the salad bar. You were scooping some sweetcorn onto your plate when you felt a hand on your lower back. You instantly jumped and turned to see Dylan smirking at you. "Piss of will you O'Brien you almost gave me a heart attack." He just grinned and popped one of the tomatoes from your plate in his mouth, chuckling as you thwacked him before he scooted off to your table. You sighed as you collected your plate and returned to your seat,  narrowing your eyes at Dylan as he watched you with a widespread grin. "You're such a pain Dyl." You stated, taking a bite of your sausage roll. "Thanks y/n, love you too." He responded, munching on his meal. Soon, lunch was over and you and Dylan had both sent off your campers to get changed into their wet gear, as you had a joint kayaking activity together this afternoon. You retied your laces before hopping back up, Dylan walking over to you after collecting the keys to the canoe shed. He wiggled his eyebrows at you, jangling the keys in his hand. You let out a huff of amusement, before you both walked down to the lake together. Dylan quickly unlocked the shed, walking inside the slightly damp and musky structure. He hauled out the large bags containing the life jackets while you untied the straps holding the kayaks together. Once you noticed Dylan slipping into the toilet at the back to change into his trunks, you scooted out the shed, wanting to find the red life jackets for your campers. Your fingers were fumbling with undoing the bag's ties and you had just managed to pull out the adult sized life jacket when Dylan sauntered out, grabbing the jacket from your hand and slipping it onto his body. "Hey!" You said, turning to see Dylan cheekily grinning at you, hands on his bright pink clad hips. Your eyes ran over his body, brow raising when you studied his choice of bold pink trunks. His honey eyes met yours as you looked up and you couldn't help a small smile peaking out your mouth at how adorably dorky he looked. "That's my life jacket." You stated, dropping the bag you had been holding. Dylan pretended to look around the red jacket he was wearing, "Can't see your name on it." He replied cheekily, slight dimples on his cheeks. You huffed and prodded him, "Come on Dyl, you know red is my favourite colour." Dylan just stuck his tongue out at you, "Tough luck y/n." You frowned and flipped him off, reluctantly putting on the unappealing blue life jacket, leaving it to hang open, similiarly like Dylan's. Soon, the campers all arrived down to the lake and you and Dylan had finished setting up the equipment, kayaks and paddles layed out neatly beside jackets. You had to do the mandatory safety talk, ensuring every kid knew what to do and Dylan was rather unhelpfully distracting you by running his fingers along the edge of your life jacket's back, you shoving him multiple times to get him to stop. He continued anyway, a smug smile plastered on his face when you shivered as his fingers 'accidentally' brushed under your counsellor polo top. When you eventually finished the safety talk, Dylan removed his hand from your back, clasping his hands together like he often did in counsellor mode. "Okay everybody, partner up and pop on a life jacket, I'm gonna show you how to adjust it so you're all ready to get out on the lake." You grab your water bottle while he waits for everybody to grab their jackets. You are just screwing the lid back on when you feel a tug, yanking you over to Dylan's front. You look up to see the kids giggling and Dylan wiggles his dark eyebrows at you before reaching down and zipping your life jacket up. "Everybody zip their partner's jacket up." You look to see all the surrounding kids echoe Dylan's movements, having fun helping their friends. "Okay next part, you're gonna need to give this strap here a nice tug." He places a hand on your side, pulling quickly at the strap, winking at you as the jacket becomes more secure. You feel your body heat up and try to ignore Dylan's nimble, slender fingers resting on your side. "Ready for the final bit everyone?" He asks the kids and they all nod enthusiastically. "Okay then, you're gonna give these shoulder straps the same tug you did for the other and then I need you to lift your bud's jacket up, making sure it's nice and tight." As Dylan says this, he pulls each of your shoulder straps tight, smirking as his fingertips brush along your collar. He then reaches underneath the jacket's shoulders and lifts upwards, beaming as your torso just gets tugged upwards. You feel your heart pounding as Dylan releases you, his smug face turning to help the younger kids. You cough lightly, trying to rid the fogginess in your brain before you go and help. Soon, the kids are all ready, paddles in hands and you have lifted yourself into your kayak, off the jetty so that you can help from the water. You swiftly maneouver yourself into postion, watching as Dylan checks the first kid's life jacket before lifting the kayak into the water easily. You can practically feel yourself gulp, watching his tan, lean arms bulge against the yellow polo shirt all counsellors had to wear. Your gaze flickers to the pink trunks, clad around his thighs and you sigh, not understanding how he can pull off such stupid coloured items. "You gonna help y/n or just stare?" Dylan asks you, watching as you stutter and quickly grab the kayak, steadying it so the child can get into it. An hour later, all kids were on the water, having mastered the basics you and Dylan had taught them and a fair few of them soaking wet from splashing or falling in during the races you had got them to do. "Alright campers," You yell, gaining their attention while you paddle to the middle of them, "We are gonna have one last competition. We're gonna raft all the kayaks together, Dylan's campers on one side, mine on the other." Suprisingly quickly, the campers rafted together, all holding onto each other's kayaks so that they didn't float off. You sandwiched yourself in the middle, watching amused as the teenage girls from Dylan's campers raced to sidle up next to his kayak, two of them smug as they reached the spots next to him. Katie and Laura grinned as Dylan grabbed onto their kayaks, their arms 'coincidentally' touching his as they held onto his kayak. It was common knowledge that Dylan was a popular counsellor amongst the older girls, often being subject to much of the gossip around camp and you could understand why. His chiselled face and body were unfairly god-like, his brown hair was soft and most often messy and those damn moles on his face often got compared as the luckiest things on earth. He also had an immensely lovely personality; he was hilarious, kind, caring and sensitive. To be honest, a large majority of camp you found yourself almost having to wipe drool away from your face after staring at him across the room for too long. You eventually tied all the kayaks together, creating a temporary raft that was secure enough for your planned competition. "Okay so here's what's gonna happen. You will see that you all have a number on the front of your kayak. If I call that number, you have to get out of your kayak, run across the raft and into the other person's seat." You were basically playing a more elaborate game of ladders. (A/N: I have no clue if ladders is a worldwide game or just here in the UK but if you don't know what it is just google it :) ) The kids all squealed enthusiastically and you were glad to see even the older ones who were usually more reluctant with activities were looking excited. "Okay we will have a few practise rounds so you get the hang of it. Ready? Okay.....Number 7!" You shouted and instantly, two small kids scrambled up from their kayaks, climbing across the raft before plonking themselves in the other's seat. "Woah, you guys were quick! Okay one more practise before we start counting points for teams." Soon, the competition was well underway and kids had been scrambling their way across, a few falling into the water. Then, when two of the campers were settling back into their kayaks, Ethan shouted out, "Y/N and Dylan should have a go!" At once, all the campers shrieked in agreement, making you look at Dylan. He shrugged, a smirk working its way onto his face. You grinned, "Okay but you'll have to hold onto each other reallyyy tight!" They didn't really considering a rope held you all together but it made it more exciting. "Right count us down then." Dylan said. "3,2,1 GO!" The campers all screamed and immediately, you hauled yourself up, clambering over to reach Dylan's kayak. You are almost at his, grinning with the knowledge you were gonna win as Dylan made the kayaks rock more, slowing him down. All of a sudden, you felt a hard push on your side and a second later you were surrounded by cold water. "DYLAN!" You screeched as you came to the surface of the lake, said man watching you with glee as you bobbed, clothes now soaking wet. He cheekily reaches out for you and you grip his hand, pretending to get ready to get out before giving his arm a hard tug, causing him to topple into the water. You laugh as he surfaces, treading water as he flicks his hair out his face like a wet dog. "I can't believe you fell for that!" You chuckled, grinning triumphantly at his now soaked state too before making eye contact with him. The pair of you instantly raced towards the kayaks again, you managing to scoot back on and into Dylan's seat before he reaches yours. "HA! MY TEAM WINS!" You shouted, beaming and high fiving some of the campers around you. "Yeah, yeah yeah." Dylan shakes his head defeatedly, a smile on his face anyway. Once the kayaks are unrafted, the campers make their way back to the jetty, Dylan getting out to help the kids. You steady the kayak as he reaches under the straps of the less strong kids, easily lifting them up and onto the wooden jetty. Once all the kids are safely out the water and kayaks laid out by the shed for the next group, you paddle and steer so you're beside the jetty. Placing your paddle on the side, you go to get out when you feel Dylan's warm arms wrap around your waist and lift you up, you barely having to push to get out the kayak. "Uh thanks..." You say, body tingling from the freckled man's touch. He just winks at you and lifts your kayak out the water, placing it next to the others. You dismiss the kids, all of them running off to the cabins to shower and change before the next activity. You walk into the canoe shed, placing the rope back where it came from, and tidying away a few bits before you too went off to change. You lean down to pick up a few plastic balls and place them on the side when a hand tugs your now open jacket, causing you to stumble into a hard chest. You look up to see Dylan smiling down at you, brown hair sticking up in all directions. Your hands are pressed against his chest, his own life jacket open as well. "Uh hi." You say, and Dylan brushes a strand of your hair out your face. "Hi." His eyes are looking right into yours and his hands are on your waist and you can feel your heart pounding against your ribcage. "Wasn't very nice of you to pull me in like that was it y/n." He says softly, gaze darting down to your lips. "You pushed me in first!" You say, poking his chest and Dylan grins, his head tilting and a lopsided smirk gracing his mouth. "Guess so, I think I can make it up to you though." You frown in confusion but feel your stomach flip when Dylan leans forward, pressing a kiss to your mouth. Your eyes are shot wide open, watching as Dylan's own brown eyes open and look at you through dark lashes. Then, your hand tugs on the fabric of his shirt, causing his lips to press against yours again and you close your eyes, a hand running behind his neck to tug on the hairs at the base of his head. It escalates pretty quickly and you find yourself being lifted onto the side of the cabinet in the shed, Dylan pressed between your legs as his lips work against yours. Your hands push his polo up slightly, running along his abs and torso, admiring as his muscles contract at your touch. He runs his fingers softly up your side, his mouth caressing yours. "Once you guys have finished making out, the kids are meeting you in the hall." A loud voice echoes out and you both instantly break apart, flushing and extracting your hands from up each other's shirts. You see Amy walking out the shed, her red hair swooping as she shouts out a final, "Oh and please don't fuck in the shed!" You look up at Dylan who's expression mirrors the same as his mum finding a girl in his room and burst out laughing. Dylan's warm gaze flicks back to you and he grins lazily, lips puffy and swollen. His hands have fallen to your thighs and you giggle as he leans in again, going to kiss you but you place a hand on his chest, pushing him back softly and sliding off the cabinet. "Dyl come on we still need to get changed"  You slip your hand into his and tug him out the shed, much to his protests of 'y/n please, the kids can wait a bit longer' but you just roll your eyes and drag him to the counsellor cabins, the promise of a possible shared shower causing Dylan to walk a bit faster.

Just A Pawn-Luke Hughes
Chapter Two
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Summary: As the ‘friendship’ between Remi and Luke continues to evolve so does Luke’s feelings for her. And Lukes friends become increasingly worried about this relationship and Luke himself.
Warnings Smut, Cursing, Adult Subjects, Protective friends, Maybe toxic behavior,
A/N there is a lot that goes on in this chapter please don’t read if you are not ok with any of the things mentioned above. I believe I had all of the right tags I do apologize if I miss something or if something should be categorized a different way I am new to this and on the younger side so please feel free to let me know so I can fix it. Otherwise I hope you enjoy this chapter
Luke hopped out of the shower, grabbing a towel off the rack. "Yo, Dylan, you seen my phone?" he called out as he wrapped it around his waist.
"It's on your bed," Dylan shouted from the living room.
Luke walked into his bedroom and picked up his phone. He saw he had a new message from Remi and grinned to himself. They had been hanging out a lot lately and despite Luke trying to keep his feelings in check, reminding himself that this was all just a plot, he couldn't help but feel a spark of attraction to her.
"Hey, you still up for tonight?" Luke texted back.
"Yeah, absolutely!”
“What do you want to do?"
"I was thinking we could go on an adventure."
"Sounds exciting, I'm in! See you at 9?"
"Perfect."
———————————————
As Luke walked into the living room, Mackie looked up from his homework. "Where are you going tonight?" he asked curiously.
"Out with Remi," Luke replied nonchalantly.
Mark rolled his eyes. "Are you sure that’s a good idea? I mean didn't your brothers tell you to stay away from her anyway" he asked
"I can handle them," Luke said defensively. "They're just being overprotective."
Ethan chimed in. "I mean, I don't know if she's the best influence..."
Luke cut him off before he could finish his sentence. "Look guys, I appreciate your concern but I like spending time with her. So can we just leave it at that?"
The guys nodded hesitantly and went back to their respective tasks.
———————————————
That night, Luke met up with Remi outside of a town favorite bar downtown. They decided to skip the bar scene and instead took a walk around campus.
"This is nice," Luke commented as they strolled down a lit pathway next to the Arboretum.
"I knew you'd like it," Remi said, grinning playfully at him.
They eventually ended up wandering through the woods behind campus, chasing each other around like little kids. They climbed trees and hid behind bushes, laughing loudly.
"Hey, we should sleep here tonight," Luke suggested somewhat jokingly as they collapsed on the ground breathlessly.
Remi looked at him with the same mischievous smile he saw the first time they met before responding. "Sure, why not?"
“Wait, you seriously wanna sleep here?” Luke asked with a laugh
“Ya! Come on, it’ll be fun!” Remi encouraged him as she pulled him towards the trees.
“Uh ya it’s a little dangerous?” Luke asked as he looked around nervously. Sleeping in a dark forest alone was not exactly on his to-do list.
“What’s the worst that could happen?” Remi asked with a giggle.
“Um I don’t know, we could be attacked by a bear or a murder” Luke suggested
“What’s life without a little danger?” Remi said with a smile.
Luke looked into her eyes and smiled, before agreeing.
They made a makeshift bed out of leaves and branches and settled in for the night. As they laid there, looking up at the stars above, Luke realized then that he was genuinely happy with Remi. He wasn't just stringing her along to piss off his brothers anymore; he actually liked being around her a lot.
The next morning, Luke woke up to his phone ringing incessantly. It was Coach Naurato wondering where he was for morning practice.
"I overslept," Luke admitted sheepishly as he laced up his skates.
Coach Naurato shook his head disapprovingly. "Let's go Hughes, run three laps before practice starts."
After practice, Coach Naurato pulled Dylan aside to ask him some questions about Luke's behavior outside of practice.
"Is he okay? He's been acting really weird lately," Coach Naurato confided in Dylan.
Dylan hesitated for a moment before answering truthfully. "I don't know, coach, I haven't really noticed anything too out of the ordinary."
The truth was that everyone had noticed Luke's behavior changing over the past few weeks. He was more distracted during practice and seemed to be preoccupied with something outside of hockey. But no one said anything because they didn't want to get into trouble with their teammates or coaches.
———————————————
Later that night Luke walked into his house and saw his roommates sitting in the living room watching TV. He was happy to see them, but they looked at him with deep concern.
"Mate, are you okay?" Ethan asked.
Luke shrugged and sat beside them. "Yeah, why wouldn't I be?"
"Well, you've been acting different lately," Dylan said.
"What do you mean?" Luke asked.
"You missed class this morning," Mackie said. "Coach was livid."
"I know, I messed up," Luke replied. "It won't happen again."
"It's not just that," Mark said. "You've been hanging out with Remi Carson a lot lately."
Luke rolled his eyes. "So what? She's just a friend."
"A friend that you spend the night with?. We know you didn’t come home last night, we were a little worried.," Ethan told him.
"I’m 19, don’t try to control my life" Luke responded.
"We're not trying to control your life, bud," Dylan said. "We're just worried about you."
"I appreciate it, guys, but I'm fine," Luke assured them.
His roommates exchanged a look of worry as he walked away.
———————————————
Then one chilly afternoon at his house after he'd skipped practice, she convinced him to go all the way, saying it'd be "new". As she lay shirtless above him she whispered "ready?"
Luke smiled up at her before nodding eagerly. The moment he entered her, he heard a door shut.
Luke paid no attention to it, continuing to grind his hips into her.
Luke enjoyed the sound of her moans, and at that moment he was in a state of euphoria, which made him completely oblivious to the door that had shut.
Seconds before Luke had reached his climax, a heavy knock sounded on the door.
Angry and frustrated, Luke yelled at the door. “Go Away! I'm busy!” Remi couldn’t help but let out a laugh at his frustration.
“Luke, we need to talk!” Mackie yelled on the other side of the door.
“Unbelievable” Luke muttered, as he pulled out of her, grabbing his sweats from the floor and slipping them on.
Luke shot a look at Remi, who was still laying on the bed naked and covered with a blanket. She gave him a smirk and Luke let out a frustrated groan before slipping out the door.
“What the fuck guys!” He yelled noticing all of his roommates staring at him, all of them looking worried.
“You skipped practice!” Dylan stated worry lingering in his voice.
“Yeah, and?” Luke snarked back
“Dude we’re worried about you! And Coach was pissed he was thinking about benching you! You’re lucky we covered for you” Ethan chimed in.
“He’s not gonna bench me, it was one practice chill out” Luke says nonchalantly
“It’s not just that Luke you’re different. It doesn't matter to you if you miss a practice, don’t care about your grades, and you just don't seem to care about anything at all! We’re all fucking worried about you!” Ethan yelled
“You guys are ridiculous, I’m fine!” Luke yelled back.
“No you’re not! You just don`t care, it’s ridiculous” Mark said,
“I told you before,I can handle myself” Luke retorted before returning to his room, slamming the door behind him.
“Are you alright?” Remi asks, watching as Luke takes a deep breath before placing his hands on his head.
“Fuck” Luke screams out angrily slamming his fist onto his desk. Remi’s mouth drops open as she hurriedly gets herself out of bed wrapping the sheets around her and walking over to Luke.
Remi gently takes hold of Luke’s now bleeding hand and inspects the damage.
Thankfully no damage was done to his knuckles but the hand is a bit red and swollen.
Luke looks at Remi with a look of desperation in his eyes. A smile appears on Remi’s face as she guides Luke’s hand closer to her mouth and kisses the knuckles.
Luke moves his other hand to Remi`s waist and pulls her closer to him as he kisses her neck leading up to her ear. “Ready to finish?” He whispers in her ear.
Remi nods her head and smiles, dropping the sheets that covered her body. Now standing completely naked in front of Luke, he stripped off his sweats and threw them at the door, locking it before grabbing a condom from the desk drawer and slipping it on.
Luke gripped Remi underneath the waist and placed her on the desk. He begins to kiss her neck, moving his hand down to her breast. Remi lets out a loud moan as Luke makes his way past her stomach…

dedicated: @samsteel aka zoltar the mystical
“How long are you going to stare at him and never make a move?” Jamie asked as he sat down next to you at lunch. You turned your head at him, offended. “I was not staring.” You scoffed as you stole a chip from his lunch tray. He nodded, “You sure, because you have some drool on the corner of your mouth.” he said as he flicked the corner of your mouth.
“There’s no way a bear could defeat a shark. It’s not fucking happening.” Dylan declared as he sat down with Ryan. “Think about it, you put a bear on any playing field. He fucking wins!” Ryan exclaimed. They’d been arguing about this for the whole week. You groaned turning to Jamie, “Are we going to the halloween party tonight?”
“Well, we can. Just no heavy drinking for us we have an early morning practice.” Dylan said finally the previous conversation. “Wow greendale really pushing for that sober life is the good life.” Ryan said as he popped a grape in his mouth. “You were going to be sober this party anyways, it’s your turn to drive.” Jamie said throwing a carrot at him.
“Perfect chance for you to strut your stuff for the one and only mr. kinkle.” Ryan said wiggling his eyebrows to you. You shook your head. “What! C’mon it’s halloween perfect time to make a move and rumor round the locker room is he’s single and looking to mingle.” Dylan said encouraging you. “Now or never, besides out of all the guys at greendale he’s probably the best to date y’know besides the three in front of you.” Jamie said winking jokingly at you.
“Ew i think i just threw up in my mouth at the thought of dating any one of you.” You said causing your friends to burst into joking out rage. You laughed not noticing across the courtyard Harvey’s eyes on you.
Hours had passed, school was over for the week, and the weekend mischief was just beginning. You sat finishing up the final touches to your witch costume, you checked the groupchat to see when Ryan would be swinging around to pick you up. Putting your costume store cloak on to add the finishing touch to your costume you grabbed your phone and went to wait at the front window for Ryan’s car to pull up.  You double checked the take one candy bowl that had been left out on your front stoop for the neighborhood kids, knowing that it was already late and no one would come back around you brought the bowl back into your kitchen and left it on the counter next the the note your parents left. They’d gone to some town halloween event and would be back later tonight.
Hearing a car horn and a fear yelps, knowing it was your friends you turned off the lights and locked your front door. “Well, well well, look what we have here!” Dylan yelled from the backseat. “Cast a spell on me, prevent my future hangover!” Jamie said from the passenger seat. “Hurry up! We are walking a fine line between fashionably late and late late.” Ryan said agitated, “you do look great though, y/n.”. You did a twirl then climbed into the backseat with Dylan.
After dancing in the crammed car to several songs and also pregaming with a water bottle filled with coke and rum shared between the four of you. As you rolled up to the party you noticed the cars and the packed front lawn. Halloween was the biggest holiday in greendale so the parties were notoriously big.
“All right party people let’s go.” Dylan said unlocking his door. Ryan immediately relocking it, causing everyone to groan. “If i am in charge of driving you all home, safety brief.” He announced. You snickered and Jamie took a slug of the coke and rum. “One, no vomiting in my car.” He craned his neck towards Jamie who had a record for doing that. Dylan looked over towards you, you stuck your tongue out.
“Two, i am not carrying anyone to their beds this time so... monitor your intake please for my sake and my backs.” He said turning towards Dylan. Dylan put his hands up in a mock surrender. “Aye aye captain!” He said.
“Three, we still have practice tomorrow, so it would be nice to be out of here by 1 latest.” He said as he killed the engine of the car. “Once again i am a perfect angel who never does anything wrong.” You said as you hopped out of the backseat with Dylan. Your friends laughed. “Asshats.” You said walking backwards knocking into someone.
“Shit! I’m so sorry!” You said turning around to apologize to who you knocked into. Harvey Kinkle dressed in a Sid Vicious costume. You felt yourself turn red. Slightly embarrassed? Slightly turned on from the sight in front of you? The pregaming in the car? Jury was out.
“All good, sick costume. Y/n right?” You swallowed thickly and nodded. “We have chemistry together.” Dylan and Jamie snickered. You turned around giving them a stern look. “mom’s mad.” Ryan whispered and you flicked them off behind your back.
“Thanks and yeah i sit two rows behind you.” You said turning you attention back to Harvey. His eyes stayed on you as if you were some sort of cosmic mystery he wanted to solve.
“I know.” He said cracking a smile and you smiled back. “Awesome. Anyways i guess i’ll see you around?” He nodded and then you parted ways. “Could’ve been worse.” Jamie said slinging his arm around your shoulder. “He knows where you sit.” Dylan said in a teasing tone. “Stop it. He doesn’t like me.” You said as you guys walked into the house.
“I sit next to you and he didn’t bring me up.” Ryan said as he dragged you to the kitchen to get drinks. “Maybe i’m just prettier than you.” You said hopping onto the counter to sit. He rolled his eyes. “You know you are and quit acting like that. If harvey can’t see how fucking awesome you are? He doesn’t deserve you.” He said handing you a spiked shirley temple. You took a sip. “Now loosen up, grow some and get in there.” He said pointing to the corner where Dylan and Jamie were with Harvey and Theo.
“Alright, i’m going in for the kill.” You said giving him a fist bump and weaving your way through the crowd of classmates you hardly knew to get to your friends. Once you made your ways over you noticed Theo in a similar costume to Harvey and you figured they went as the sex pistols.
As the night went on you somehow found yourself alone with Harvey on the roof playing this or that. Your friends had already left and Harvey offered to drive you home since he was already the designated driver for his group of friends.
“Okay, bungee jumping off into a pool of spiders or walk through fire while clowns are at the side.” Harvey side eyed you. “can the spiders be plastic from like walmart?” You pretended to ponder for a minute. “I don’t see why not.”
“I don’t fuck with clowns.” You said taking a sip of the water. “Your turn.” You said your attention from the overview to Harvey once again. “may i kiss you or do you want me to take you home?” Your eyes widened. “ can you repeat yourself?” Harvey swallows thickly, “did you not hear me?” You shook your head. “No i heard you i just want to hear you say it again.” You said smiling.
Harvey moved over closer to you. “may i kiss you?” he asked. You nodded, “You may.” He leaned in putting his arm around your shoulders. There were no words to explain what it felt like to kiss harvey, but every song you’ve ever heard felt about right. Once you both parted he smiled to himself, “what?” you asked.
“You taste like cherries.” He said with a love drunk smile on his face.

2023.
“Maybe hosting the team less than 2 months after giving birth was a bad iiiiiidddee... uh.” Jon rounds the corner to see Bekah bopping around the kitchen with Lincoln water coloring an Easter bunny at the table and the swishy almost 2 month old, Scarlett, wrapped up on her chest.
"Quit playing games with my heart... with my heart..." Bekah sings out as Jon closes the distance between them with a laugh. He reaches into her hair and pulls out her air pods. "Holy... Tae!" Bekah jumped while clutching the slightly asleep newborn.
"Hi Momma. Whatcha makin' here?" Jon popped a marshmallow from the bowl in front of them into his mouth.
"Peep cars. I don't know Tae. I saw it and thought the kids would like it. I'm nervous about this egg hunt tomorrow and I shouldn't be since this isn't our first rodeo." Jon wraps his wife up from behind and kisses her ear to whisper.
"It maybe wasn't the best idea but you are doing amazing, also what do you need me to do?" Jon kisses the shell of Bekah's ear again and she leans into him with a hum escaping from her lips. "I can take care of that later..." Bekah elbows him and he laughs out. "Seriously Beks, do you want me to take Scar? Assemble these Bunny mobiles? Paint with Linc? Use me. Well, in a way the kids can see." Jon clears his throat.
"Jonathan Bryan, you are pushing the line there." Bekah turns around to give him the mom look he's become accustom to since Lincoln started having an opinion that wasn't the same as hers.
"Okay, okay. I'm just glad you got the all clear at your appointment this week." Jon runs his fingers down Bekah's sides to hold her hips. "Let me take Scar and we will check out Lincoln's creations and let you do this." Jon reaches into the wrap and freeing his daughter. Her arms and legs stretch instinctually and whimpers before landing on her daddy's chest with a coo of approval.
"Are we really calling her Scar?" Bekah questions while taking off the baby wearing wrap. "Like..." Bekah runs her finger over Jon's scar from work. "Scars? Injuries? Not great memories?"
"I mean we don't have to but I don't think if it as being scars Beks. Plus not all my scars are bad memories. Some really good ones too." Jon winks, kisses Scarlett's head and then Bekah's lips. "Get back to creating, we will be water coloring over here." Jon sits next to Lincoln and gets lost in the Easter activities while stealing looks towards the kitchen to watch Bekah float around working on creating the most perfect Easter party.
"Well, it's 10pm and she should sleep for about two hours." Bekah shuts their bedroom door after feeding Scarlett.
"I'll take the 6am feeding since we have morning skate before everyone comes over." Jon comes out of the bathroom in just his boxer briefs. "Does that work, Momma?" Jon pulls Bekah's body flush with his and ghosts her lips.
"Yes." Bekah whispers kissing his lips gently.
"Was that to the feeding or what I was talking about earlier, because I'm fine waiting, you know that. I..."
"Both, Tae. Both. Maybe let me go freshen up, 'kay?" She stands on her toes to kiss his forehead and Jon just shakes his head and starts to argue but let’s her retreat to the bathroom.
Bekah emerges a few moments later to find her husband naked and hard as a rock with his hands behind his head, staring at the doorway to the bath. "Well, Mr. Toews, you are clearly ready." Bekah dims the lights almost to dark and tugs at her husband's shirt covering all her insecurities.
"I have been patiently waiting to let you heal and rest but I've missed this." Jon stands and takes no time to remove his shirt from Bekah's body. Kissing down her jawline then to her collar bone.
"Slow, Tae, take it slow, please." Bekah's breath catches in her throat as Jon pulls her leg up and his length presses into her skin.
"I remember and I got you, Beks." Jon gracefully moves both of their bodies to the bed and hovers over his beautiful wife. Kissing between her breasts she goes to stop him and Jon catches Bekah’s wrists with a single hand but releases them to kiss down her stomach. Bekah flinches and moves her hands again to stop him. "Rebekah, we are good. I love you. All of you. Forever and ever. Doesn't matter what's different from bringing our children into the world. Could you please let me show you. Okay?" Jon looks deep into his wife's eyes and she nods in agreement. Jon continues making his way to her core. His tongue is intentional and gentle. Bekah's body breaks out in goosebumps with the sensation.
"Oh, Tae." Bekah's body jolts in response to his increased movement. Jon continues until Bekah pulls his hair hard making him look up. "I'm fine. Sorry. It feels amazing." Bekah loosens her grip and Jon's fingers slide into her core and curl while he sucks on her clit. It doesn't take much to make her orgasm crash over her. "Fuck. Tae. Here. Please.” Bekah pants out. Jon recognizes her commands and moves up her body. He kisses her lips intently and moves to her neck. Bekah’s body arches into him as Jon’s fingers run down one side of her body.
"Ready Mon Amour?" Jon pushes Bekah's hair off of her face, tucking it behind one ear. Kissing her lips with so much desire she feels her body react again. Without say anything Bekah moves her legs to his ass and presses him towards her. Jon takes her cue to slide deep in and holds. Focusing on kissing Bekah’s ear, neck, shoulder.
"Tae, move. I'm ready." Bekah rolls her hips up and Jon starts a rhythm. Worshiping her body as he thrusts in and out. "Jon, you can let your's go. I feel you holding back." Bekah whispers into his ear as he presses his lips to her shoulder once again. Jon's hand slips down under Bekah's leg and pulls it up further to press his length deep inside and releases. French laced expletives fill her ears. Jon shifts and Bekah's feet press into the back of his legs and a loud moan slips out of her mouth. The orgasm surprised her and she covers her mouth to suppress the involuntary sounds escaping her which makes Jon quake with laughter.
"Babe, did you not realize you were going to so soon?" Jon kisses the sweat off Bekah's hairline and then stares into her eyes.
"It's been awhile, okay?" Bekah covers her eyes from the lust filled stare of her husband. "How are you still hard?" She wiggles from overstimulation with Jon still fully in her.
"It's been awhile, okay?" Jon thrusts into Bekah while her whole body shudders under him. "You are so damn sexy I could do this all night BUT I know we need sleep." Jon moves off of her and pulls Bekah's body into his side. "Wanna shower together then sleep?" The two move off the bed and into the shower. Jon wasn’t done once they got in the shower but curled Bekah into him to sleep before she had to get up for the next feeding. The one thing about post pregnancy Bekah was she was a light sleeper but could fall asleep in moments. Jon loved watching his wife sleep in those few months. Admiring how equally strong and gentle she was. How she just sort of knew how to do things and handled life of a hockey wife with ease.
"Babe, Baby, Beks?" Jon shakes Bekah lightly as the sunrise broke through the window. He was trying not to startle her but it didn't work.
"WHAT? Is the baby okay? Did I forget to feed her?" Bekah shoots up out of bed and Jon picks her up bridal style and lays Bekah back in bed.
"No Sweetheart, I just changed, fed, and put her back to bed. I just need to leave for the rink and Linc will be up here in about 30 minutes." Jon kissed Bekah sweetly.
"Oh, thank you Tae. Zack, Kelly and the kids are coming soon to help hid eggs and distract Lincoln from peeking. We cannot have the team thinking the Cap's toddler has the edge." Bekah laughs.
"Je t'aime Beks."
"I love you too but what's that about?" She looks up puzzled "That you have thought of everything, but you know it isn't necessary and I do always love you." Jon sits at the foot of the bed to put his shoes on. Bekah climbs over and sits on his lap.
"Yeah, a bunch of overly competitive professional athletes won't make a kid's egg hunt some sort of competition. Riiiigggghhhttt?" Bekah cannot control the laughter and Jon tries to deny it. "Will you promise no blood at least?"
"Beks, we will not be overly competitive. Most of the kids are younger than Lincoln. Colton is about the only older kid. We will be civil." Jon kisses his unconvinced wife again and heads to the rink.
The team slowly entered the Toews home and most headed directly to the kitchen for food. Bekah set up stations through the first floor with crafts and activities for the kids before the egg hunt started.
"Ms. Bekah." A low voice came from behind Bekah as she checked the food and chatted with a few of the girls. Bekah turned to see Colton Keith behind her.
"Hey Colt!"
"My dad said you had special directions for me?" He looked back at Duncan who was holding Scarlett and talking to Jon.
Bekah bent down slightly to be eye level with the now 9 year old. "Yes, I was wondering if you wanted to hunt for yours AND Scarlett's eggs? Since she cannot find her own. What do you say?" The boy's eyes light up and nods his head violently then heads back to his dad. Duncan listens intently to his son's mission and mouths a thank you to Bekah from across the room.
"Okay team, egg hunt happening in five minutes in the backyard. We will start on the patio if you would like to head there. Beks has a basket with each kid's name on it sitting on the table out back." Jon claps like he just gave a pep talk and the team moves to the back.
Bekah had sections set up. The toddlers such as Weslie, Trey, Stephanie and Lincoln had one section. All of their dad's behind them. Patrick elbowing Dylan and Jon jokingly.
"This will end badly." Bekah whispers to herself before raising her voice. "Okay, please only find 10 eggs. There are 3 golden eggs, one in each section that not only has candy for the littles but a prize for the family." Bekah pulls the bridge of her nose realizing what she said. "Boys, NO blood! You hear me?" Staring at the grown men standing ready to go. "Seriously! Okay, on your mark, get set... GO!" As Bekah expected, the men instantly turned on their game faces making the spectators laugh.
The egg hunt was adorable. The social media team sent someone to take some pictures and videos to post online. Bekah was sure the team rep was hoping for some interference from the dads. Bekah could tell how respected Jon was by his team in situations like this off the ice. As soon as the kids were done collecting eggs and dumping the candy out the social media person thanked Bekah and left.
"Okay boys..." Bekah raises her voice and feels the heat on her cheeks when every eye looks up and over to her. "I may have hidden tickets for you all to find. Coach gave me permission to give out certificates for you."
"Certificates Beks?" Jon pipes up.
"Yes, get out of a run, late to practice, dinner on the team... those type of rewar..." A barbaric sound cuts her off as the guys stand from their dad roles of going through the eggs. "This one is for everyone, even the non-dads." Bekah looks behind her as the young ones realize they get to play too.
"Us too?" Kirby chimes in.
"Yes, all Hawks players are allowed to do this hunt. There is one for each of you. The reward is hidden inside the egg shaped envelope. You won't find out if you get a bag of candy, beverage, JT Foundation swag, or one of the team rewards until after everyone is done." Bekah's laugh is slightly evil in nature. "Okay, seriously, this will be the first and last year for this if any of you land on the IR. Please don't. And, go!"
The men took off running! Even more so than the kids did. The chirping happened immediately too.
"Watch out old man!"
"Kaner is going to end up with foundation gear."
"Is one of the awards the A?"
"Need your glasses?"
"Are you tall enough to get that egg in the tree eh?"
Bekah was thankful that the pushing and shoving was held to a minimum and laughter filled their backyard. The team had gone through so much in the last few seasons, even with a cup win, that seeing them laughing and acting like young boys was exactly the reaction Bekah was looking for when she bounced this idea off Brynn a few weeks ago.
The chirping continued when the boys opened their envelops. Cheers and jeers with each opening. Jon wrapped his arms around his wife taking in his team. Everyone thanked the Toews as they headed out the door.
"Tae?" Bekah crashed on the couch with Scarlett on her chest and Lincoln sitting on the floor playing with the soft puck that was in one of his eggs. "Jon?" Bekah leans up when Jon didn't answer.
"Here Baby!" Jon appears behind the couch. "I was just putting the cold back in the fridge for you." He leans over and kisses her forehead and pats Scarlett's bum.
"You didn't have to I was going to get up as soon as I feed her." Bekah goes to sit up.
"I know, and you put on the best Easter party for the team ever. It's the least I can do. Plus, the boys cleaned up the backyard so there really isn't much for us to do beyond taking down the tables which I'll do now." Bekah reaches up and pulls on her husband's shirt.
"I don't deserve you, Tae." Bekah leans her head on the back of the couch and stares up at him.
"No, Beks. I don't deserve you." Jon leans down and kisses his wife's lips. "Now, Linc, wanna help me?"
"Yeah. Yeah Dada!" Lincoln popped up and followed his Dad.
Bekah took in this life her and Jon created and smiled.
