the concept of "lore" ruined discussion of mcrp because like. people use it to mean some kind of weird hybrid of plotline and worldbuilding but ONLY if the server is drama-focused otherwise it doesn't count i guess.

so you get people saying like. hermitcraft isn't a lore server. smplive isn't a lore server. sdmp isn't a lore server. and it's like yeah this is true because "lore server" is a meaningless slop category you guys made up. they very much have plotlines and worldbuilding though 💀

he was born to a server that was deeply embroiled in war and his entire burrow was destroyed and most of his warren killed. he lived on his own for awhile and began hiding his appearance since it was a determent to his well-being as far as he was concerned. he left that server and continued to hide his appearance. he was a young teen when he met c!dteam and people like c!bad.

they traveled to various servers for a bit before settling down on the dsmp. manhunt is kind of canon? they definitely played this game and dream took advantage of his strengths as a rabbit, still hiding his identity.

for 'rabbit run' only, dream is able to shapeshift into a rabbit form. he was able to do it on his original server, unable on the servers he and dteam bounced around to, and able to on the dsmp. he has very good control over it until after the prison where he loses control a bit and tends to shift on accident when stressed or scared.

he's about average height but his specialized boots make him taller. when c!techno realizes this and presses him about it, dream will swear it's because they have to be shaped that way to make his feet look 'normal'. it's plausible but not fully true.

he has erect ears which made hiding his appearance uncomfortable because he had to pin or tie his ears down to fit flat under his hood. the same applies to his tail.

he's trans, baby.

because he's a human-rabbit hybrid, not all rabbit facts apply to him. he can take baths, for example, if he's able to dry himself off especially since his fur isn't that thick. but it can be slightly panic inducing to lay flat on his back for extended periods of time. he does grind his teeth lightly when he's happy.

occasionally dreamXD appears to him as a fucked up rabbit creature and it spikes dream's anxiety and fear more than he would ever admit, partly because it feels like his secret is teetering on the edge of being revealed.

techno's hounds definitely scented something off about dream (so did techno, honestly, but he couldn't exactly put his finger on it) and dream began wearing a perfumed locket to mask his smell. it's an earthy smell; moss and leather and a hint of gunpowder.
