In a better, alternate universe, Does This Duckbill Make Me Look Fat (from Phineas and Ferb) has Perry getting actually speaking lines (such as telling Doof to get therapy to which Doof says "I liked it better when I couldn't understand you.") meanwhile, Candace, in Perry's body is trying to convey to PnF that she's Candace (such as trying to drag them into her room which they immediately pick her up and tell her Candace doesn't like Perry in her room)

The episode gets resolved by Perry returning and realizing that if he's in Candace's body, she must be in his, explaining such to PnF and having the last line of the episode be Perry as Candace saying"I really love you guys"

Perry the Platypus is trans

and not only is perry the platypus trans, but 1. the flynn-fletchers are aware that he’s trans and 2. he had gender affirmation surgery late in the summer the show takes place

In the episode Does This Duckbill Make Me Look Fat?, Perry’s body is shown to be capable of sweating milk, a trait that only female platypuses possess

In the episode Perry Lays an Egg, the boys find an egg lying next to Perry and believe he laid it. Even though he wasn’t the one who laid the egg, the boys (in fact, the whole family) seem to think he’s capable of doing so, implying that they know he biologically has egg-laying capabilities. so the flynn-fletchers know Perry’s trans and are basically just like “Good for him!”

In the episode Primal Perry, which is near the start of the final season, the platypus hunter mentions that male platypuses have poisonous barbs. Doofenshmirtz expresses that he never knew Perry had poisonous barbs, which implies that Perry hasn’t used poisonous barbs at all during their entire tenure as nemeses up to that point. Furthermore, there have been several times throughout the series where Perry could’ve employed the barbs (such as when he was tied up in traps, or just... the entirety of Across the Second Dimension), but he never did. He never uses his barbs at all until the episode Primal Perry. So why wouldn’t Perry, a highly-trained secret agent, have used his spurs to free himself from traps, or to save his boys’ lives? It had to have been because he didn’t have them up until Season 4. Female platypuses lose their spurs before they reach adulthood, and we know Perry’s an adult platypus.

For Perry to not have barbs in Seasons 1-3, but have them in Season 4, he had to have undergone gender affirmation surgery to have new barbs attached. Which I fully believe OWCA insurance paid for. They may be cheapskates, but they’re not monsters.

TL;DR: The producers of Phineas and Ferb didn’t really know how platypuses worked (can’t blame them), and in the process of writing Perry, accidentally made him a trans icon.

Thought of ideas for small changes in some of the episodes in the Candace Knows AU:

-In Phineas and Ferb Interrupted, Candace and Perry are both aware of each other’s attempts to make the boys interesting again, at least until the kids move to the junkyard since Candace can’t exactly text when she’s stuck to an uncontrollable flying tiny castle.

-In Split Personality, there are three Candaces to deal with. The first two are Busting Candace and Crush Candace like in canon, while the third is her relatively sane side who tries to help Phineas and Ferb put her back together. In the absence of her two biggest obsessions, she starts emulating how Perry acts when he’s on-duty, which makes her act a lot like her second dimension counterpart. She also starts wearing one of Perry’s spare hats and Busting Candace mockingly calls her “Agent C” at some point.

-She’s well aware of where Perry is and what he’s doing with her body in Does this Duckbill Make Me Look Fat?, but since she can’t actually do anything about it the overall plot doesn’t change much. However, they do discover afterward that she’s retained some platypus traits, namely electrolocation(though it doesn’t work all that well if she’s not underwater) and actually liking Perry’s platypus food(which he never lets her hear the end of).

-Since she knows what happens to the inventions every day, she’s not the one who initiates the experiment in Don’t Even Blink

-Oh, There You Are, Perry is pretty much the same, but after Perry comes back and explains that he got temporarily reassigned Candace is Not Happy and goes to OWCA headquarters to make sure Monogram Knows It.

-Candace knows full well that Dennis is a rogue agent, and acts the way she does around him both as a distraction and so he can’t use her against Perry. Also because it’s fun to be able to torment a jerk with no consequences.

-Stacy is very lucky that the first person she has to have a conversation about Perry with is Candace(and that Perry had explained the situation to Candace ahead of time) because she’s not exactly convincing when trying to act casual.

-She actually tags along with Perry during LOVEMUFFIN’s Pageant of Evil, and cheers her dad on so he doesn’t get discouraged/doesn’t realize just what kind of competition he’s accidentally entered.

-She also tags along during Sidetracked to put off having to clean the bathroom and takes advantage of the fact that, since she’s not an agent, she’s not subject to OWCA’s jurisdiction rules.

I have several PnF fic ideas and I don't know which one to write first so if anyone has a preference feel free to cast a vote.

In the aftermath of the Robot Riot, Perry discovers the remains of the tree house robots. Candace is nowhere in sight and no one knows where she went, leading Perry to fear the worst. An alternate take on the Robot Riot scene.

Phineas comes out as aro ace to his friends. Isabella is supportive and accepts Phineas for who he is with her whole being. She grapples with the loss of a romantic love that will never be, unintentionally hurting Phineas when she stops hanging around him to try and nurse her broken heart. Will feature lots of fluff and platonic love between the PnF friendship group.

Candace gets into a fight with Perry when he won't let her use his spy equipment to bust her brothers. She insists that it's because he doesn't like her as much as her brothers, and Perry is determined to set her straight.

The morning after Perry and Candace's body-switch fiasco, the girl finds herself bruised and sore. Carrying immense guilt, Perry stays with her all day. Take place after Does This Duckbill Make Me Look Fat?

Candace is hesitant to spend time with Perry, thinking he doesn't want to be near her after putting him out of the house. When he scratches at her door during the night, she tearfully apologizes for her behaviour. Takes place after Oh, There You Are, Perry.
