what if, after like 100 years, furina goes to the palais mermonia to see neuvillette and she makes up an excuse like "oh uhh, i found a new water merchant...do you want to try some of this new water..." and like the awkwardness is palpable because for a whole century, neuvi stayed away from furina because she just kinda avoided him

and now theyre here and theyre giving life updates and slowly but surely, it starts to feel like the old days, and they get lost in conversation until the sun goes down and neuvi just forgets about all his work

and eventually he cant stop himself from asking "why did you stay away for all those years? are you going to leave after tonight?"

and she says "you...i thought you reminded me of the pain i went through. it took me an embarrassingly long time to realize that you remind me of the few good moments i had during that time. those nights spent talking over anything but work, going out to try the new desserts at the café...you remind me of home...and im sorry i left you for all those years"

and then she can hear the faint hum of rain outside and she looks at neuvi, frantically trying to wipe away the tears forming in his eyes

"hydro dragon, hydro dragon, dont cry"

too late, theyre both crying now standing in front of the window, his arm around her shoulder, keeping her there like if she stepped away for a second, he would crumble. and she doesnt want to leave

I have no words. Just the empty feeling of desolation and despair.

I think it would've been much easier to accept if they had said it back in 2020 or 2021, but waiting all this time only for it to be canceled, is devastating.

At the very least, I'd like to see what they've already done. I don't care if it's not a full movie. I don't care if the audio's a little funky. Give us something! Anything!

Yuri On Ice was is one of the most beloved anime of all time. They had a fandom that would wait decades, plural. But, now there's nothing.

I remember seeing loads of edits on TikTok about merthur in bbc Merlin and then watching it and realising THEY WERE NOT CANONICALLY GAY AND IN LOVE and it broke my heart. Then ARTHUR DIED even though all the tiktoks made it seem like a silly little gay show about a knight and a sorcerer who get a HAPPY ending. I now trust no one.
