Delta Experiment - Update (+ Survey)
“...what, never seen a banana phone before? yeah, ripe.”
(Survey at the end of post)
Hello, everyone! GonerBoy here.
I have some news. Not really good news, and not really bad news, either... but some news is generally better than no news, so I figure you all deserve the truth.
My mission’s been going well. It’s been over a year since I officially started, and I plan on finishing next fall -- so, about another year from now.
Delta Experiment is a fun series. But, it’s also one that takes a lot of time and effort to put together... and I just don’t have the time to devote to such a massive project at the moment. And being honest, I’m not sure if I ever will.
What I’m trying to say is, I don’t think this project would ever be fully finished if I tried to keep going the way I was before. And by the time I did finally get to the later parts of the story, more official Deltarune content would have been released, and I might end up questioning the use of continuing in the first place.
Not to mention the fact that I have other plans for projects -- some of which even have to do with Deltarune!
So: What does this mean for Delta Experiment?
Well, even if I don’t think I can ever finish the series properly, that doesn’t mean I don’t want to share my thoughts with everyone. I do think a lot of things about the series would have been worthwhile, and I would be devastated if I had to keep them all to myself forever.
So, what I’m thinking of doing is creating Chapter Outlines for the remainder of the story. They would give basic overviews of the plots and themes of each planned chapter, along with some sketches, illustrations, and dialogue for important scenes. They would release one at a time, and likely have some time between each installment.
This way, no one will be left on a cliffhanger, and some moments can still be shown in full - just, without all the in-between bits that take so long to get through.
Please keep in mind that these will take some time to complete -- I haven’t even started yet, and there are 7 more chapters to get through... ^^;
What will I do, now that Delta Experiment is gone?
Well, uh... you could always follow my personal blog! *Cough* shameless plug...
I haven’t been too active there yet, but I’m slowly trying to change that. I do a lot of things on there, such as...
OC Designs!
Cinnamon!
Divertino!
Zumans!
(Huh, these guys look familiar...)
Fanart!
Collei - Genshin Impact
Dess - Deltarune
“Chris” - Deltarune
Roll, Blues and Tempo - Mega Man
Comic shorts!
And some longer-term projects, like...
Sonic: GUNShot - What would have happened, if the raid on the ARK went a little differently...?
...
gonerworld.
(and more...?)
Again, please consider following @gonerboy. It would mean a lot to me to have the support of the people who enjoyed my previous work.
I’m sorry to anyone that is disappointed by Delta Experiment’s end - I really enjoyed spending time with everyone, and I’ll always treasure those memories. With any luck, knowing how the story would have gone will help bring some closure for all of us. Keep an eye out for those Chapter Outlines.
You know what they say: Don’t cry because it’s over, smile because it happened. And on the bright side, this means I can share lots of hidden things that would have been spoilers otherwise!
If you made it to the end, here’s one last survey.
Thank you. I really can’t say it enough.
Stay awesome.

Calling Delta and the Bannermen Fans! 🐝🐝🐝
Saw this sad reply to a "Confessions that can get your Doctor Who card revoked" meme on Twitter a couple days ago.
[I said I knew some fans of it]
He added that he knows someone who says it's their least favorite story.
Reply/reblog/like if you are fond of Delta and the Bannermen, and then I'll send a link so he can see us having fun with it instead of bashing it for a change.

Since MK didn't know Frisk was a human at first, does the same go for the rest of the classmates, or was it just MK who was oblivious?
I'd imagine it depends on the classmate!
If asked, Berdly would say that he definitely knew all along. Why? Don't you believe him??!
Jockington knows. Don't ask how he knows. He just does. His wisdom, is uninhibited by earthly understanding.
Snowy has "snow" idea!! Haw haw!! Get it?!
Catti knows, but doesn't care enough to tell anyone.
Noelle has heard many conversations behind closed doors over the years. As a result, she has pieced a few things together. Her mom hasn't talked to her directly about it yet, but with Chris joining the class, that may change...
Temmie's not in their class this year, but she's not even sure what a monster is... She only categorizes people by "tem" and "n0t tem", and Frisk falls into the latter category (most of the time, anyway...)

Hi! Do you have any tips or info on how you made Zane's spiral painting? I'm thinking of trying to replicate it too! Thanks!
oh hey, yeah sure!! :D
how 2 spiral 101:
SO. first i was looking at references, most of which were, of course, screenshots from room 665 party; i don't think i have those anymore but 0.25x speed and frame by frame search is your friend.
i settled on a 50x70cm regular canvas and bought two small tubs of acrylic paint, one black one white, and a wide brush because i didn't have one. in hindsight i should have probably gone with a bigger canvas (and maybe even a square one? or something like 90x80?) but i was hit with a random burst of energy and i just wanted to get started without my usual ridiculous amount of planning that makes me afraid to start anything.
i painted the canvas with two layers of black (almost completely undiluted) on the same evening, with about 2h to dry in between. then i was looking at where exactly the 'arms' of the spiral originated (from the center and then downwards) and how many turns/loops it had (4.5, plus 3 corners). after that, of course, i was too scared to start painting, or even sketching, the spiral right away so i wanted to determine the exact placement of the pattern by putting some kind of cord or string on the canvas first; i decided on shoelaces, worked out great, looked like this:
then i carefully traced it all onto the canvas with a pencil, fleshed out the thickness of the arms and marked where to put the little gaps and effects:
then everything after that was pretty much improvised. i worked with solid white strokes in thick areas, left gaps where i had marked them, added some roughness (mid-size brush, very little paint and very dry) and extra strokes (thin, semi-dry brush) where needed. the arms get thicker towards the corners and the roughest, most 'blurry' parts are on the bottom left. it took me some time to get a clear view of the bottom right and center right area because that’s where zane stood in a lot of the screenshots i took but i did find a good shot somewhere. i'd say the hardest part was balancing the messiness – i wanted it to look just chaotic enough to resemble the original without having it look sloppy and ugly and like i learned to hold a brush 5 minutes ago. i slowly worked my way around and around, perfecting the loops until i was semi-happy with the overall look and how it looked from afar. right at the end i added a few stray dots here and there – i thought i saw some black ones in the center area and white ones in the outer areas so that’s where i put them.
i guess going the extra mile to make this as true to the original as possible would be to look for a similar frame like zane has. an olive-ish color or dark brown painted wood with a slightly shiny (or even glossy) finish maybe. but i decided against that because it would have greatly overcomplicated things i was happy with already, and i wouldn't know how to frame a 1.5cm thick canvas anyway. but maybe with one of those extra thin ones? i saw some of those at the arts and crafts store i went to but they all weren't big enough.
hope this is what you were looking for, happy painting!!
