“We can’t deal with Hürrem with kindness”- when have you tried kindness, Hafsa? Has there ever been an interaction where you didn’t insult, threaten or hit Hürrem? Has there ever been one moment where you treated her fairly? The answer is ‘no’ unless your definition of kindness is reluctantly agreeing to allow Hürrem to keep her son after she begged you on her knees not to take her child away from her despite the fact another concubine has done similar and far worse acts without it ever crossing your mind to take her son away.

Hürrem’s actions are inexcusable but of all people, you have no room to judge them after you taught her this was ok by protecting Mahidevran when she did similar and worse.

Nigar, Gulnihal, Ayse and the entire harem with the exception of Mahidevran and Gulsah, can rightfully be angry and even hate Hürrem for this but Hafsa is a hypocrite.

Why I do I feel the need to put a note saying I’m not defending Hürrem’s actions, only pointing out the self-delusion present in Hafsa? What Hürrem did was cruel and wrong. Her own conscience is already telling her that by taking the form of her mother and it may take some time, but eventually she’ll listen to it and realize how cruel that was. And she’ll repent.

“Monsters are not born, they’re made” doesn’t excuse evil acts, it only reminds us to peer deeper and be empathetic when we can. We can’t judge someone fairly if we don’t have sympathy. And that is something Hafsa seems to be incapable of.

This green cloak was first worn by Daye Hatun in the eighth episode of the second season of Magnificent Century. Three episodes later, it was worn again by Hatice Sultan. The cloak made another appearance on Nigar Kalfa in the ninth episode of the third season. The cloak was used three times in the fourth season, first on Fahriye Kalfa in the twelth episode, then on Gülbahar Kalfa in the fourteenth episode and lastly on Defne Sultan in the thirty-fourth episode.

Magnificent Century: Kösem saw the cloak on Mahfiruze Hatun in the sixth episode of the first season. The cloak also appeared twice in the second season, first on an unnamed harem member in the second epsiode and then on Meleki Hatun in the fourth episode.

It is also used on an unnamed harem member in the third episode of Mehmed The Conqueror (2018).

Honestly suleyman is like a side-character in muhteşem yüzyıl so i really don't understand why we translated the title as "suleyman the magnificent" like it's not about him

#daye hatun has more impact on the story than him i'm sorry #like sure the plot revolves around him but he's like. literally the love interest without much of a role beyond being a love interest #in a way this too is feminism

They are worn again by Daye Hatun in the twenty-fourth episode of the same season. The earrings make further appearances on Nurbahar Hatun in the sixth episode and Ayşe Hatun in the twenty-first episode of the third season. The earrings are used twice in the fourth season. First on Nurbanu Sultan in the fourth episode and then on Hürrem Sultan in the eleventh episode.

The earrings are also worn by Safiye Sultan in the seventh episode of the first season of the spin-off Magnificent Century: Kösem.
