My favourite The Art Of Starting Over songs are The Art of Starting Over, Lonely People, Melon Cake, What Other People Say, Met Him Last Night, 15 Minutes and The Way You Don't Look At Me, so most of it
I will say - one of my only criticisms of Demi is that I think her albums are a little too long and could be more concise. I often find myself liking about half of the songs on their albums.
That being said, you've got TASTE, because most of those are my favorite songs from that record too. I blasted "Met Him Last Night" for weeks. Ari and Demi both have such beautiful tones, especially their lower tones, and their voices are so smooth and magical together. And I think it perfectly captured that feeling of wanting something (or someone) that you know is very, very bad for you.
"15 Minutes" is soo scathing and so perfect for that reason. I don't even remember the name of the guy it's about, which again - so fitting. I really love the lyrics and their voice in that one.
I think the only other one I love that you didn't mention would be "Anyone." This performance (I wish the version with better quality was still available) is actually what made me sit up and pay attention to Demi much more closely for the first time, especially in terms of their voice. Their belts are so incredible there, and you can feel every ounce of emotion. Plus the way she had to start the song over just broke my heart.
Love talking about music with you anon, thanks for sending these in! I'm still thinking through my answers for some of the others.
