he misses you. he misses you like a flower misses the sun. like the desert misses the rain. like you are the entirety of his being. as if you hold the key to his fierce, thumping bloody heart within the palm of your hands, like he is nothing without you— and perhaps he isn't. he doesn't feel like himself, no, in fact, he feels empty. like a shell of the man he used to be before you. he feels as though the world has lost its color, its meaning, and it makes him feel bare— it makes him feel.
he misses you. he misses the warmth of your perfume, a sweet and spicy blended aroma of saffron and sugared lavender. he misses your smile, all wide and pretty— genuine and charming, and always all for him. he misses the sound of your laughter, raw and boisterous, but sometimes soft and breathy, intimate. he misses your kisses, shy and cloying— yet fierce and angry at times as well. he misses the small things, like the scatter of moles across the expanse of your body that he finds himself counting when he can't fall asleep. or the way you fuss over him, mumbling curses and your love for him all in the same sentence.
he is nothing without you, and he knows it all too well.
the soft jangle of your keys in the lock makes him look up from his journal, the door swinging open. and despite himself, he finds that he's softened underneath your warm, loving gaze. ah, he also misses the sound of your voice, euphonious and soft, a tone you use for him specifically.
❝why are you looking at me like that?❞
he can feel his heart dance within his chest, pounding fiercely as you slant your hip to the side, the very same hips he adores holding onto when swaying with you to music. your eyes, which always seem to sweep him under with their intensity with no fail, are glittering with mirth, it knocks the breath from his chest. ❝ i adore you,❞ he utters— he sounds like a fool in love, and he doesn't particularly mind it. your cheeks flush with color and you playfully roll your eyes. that's alright, you don't need to say it back, he knows.
❝help me with the groceries?❞

Complaints and Harriet Styles
Klaus Mikaelson x Reader
Summary- The reader likes to complain a lot, everyone in Mystic Falls knows this. Klaus Mikealson finds it quite entertaining though.
Word Count- 2.2k
Warnings- Swearing, biting, one innuendo from Santa Klaus
Note from Author- Might do a part 2 to this is ya'll want it, let me know.
Tumblr media
“Listen, Damon. This whole, “I’m the scary brother” act you got going on it’s such a cliche man. Why not try something different, switch it up. It has got to be hella boring to have been playing the same role for over like 1,000 years, or however old you are. I wasn’t listening when Stefan was telling me the story of you two.” I try explaining to Damon as he stares blankly at me while holding a bourbon in his hand.
“Y/N, who let you into my house?” Damon asks me as he throws back the rest of his drink and then starts to pour himself another one. I just shrug my shoulders.
“You left the door unlocked and I thought, why not? Elena and Bonnie are off somewhere and Caroline is planning some dance for Ms. Lockwood. So I had no one else to talk to.”
“You mean to complain to?” He asks with a roll of his eyes. Which in turn makes me roll my eyes.
“I don’t complain a lot.” I defend myself, which only gets me an annoyed look.
_____
“This is too heavy!” I yell to Caroline as she hands me a box of party supplies that she roped me into to decorate her house with for some stupid party. I look into the box and pick out a long hot pink boa scarf.
“The hell is this for?” Caroline looks at me holding the scarf and rolls her eyes.
“To wear obviously. And stop complaining, that box is like less than five pounds.” She tells me as she takes a balloon from his pile of decorations and starts to blow it up.
“Ok 1. You’d have to hold me down and knock me out if you ever wanted to put that thing on me. And 2. I’m not complaining, you just have inhuman strength so you can’t tell when something is heavy to frail humans like myself.” Caroline just rolls her eyes at me placing the balloon back onto the table by her. She walks over to me and grabs the box from my hands, “You complain too much.”
______
“Ok, listen up, fellow soon to be seniors! If I get superglue stuck on my fingers one more time I’m throwing in the towel and going on home, it’s past my bedtime anyways.” I say walking into the classroom that holds Elena, Caroline, Matt, Tyler and Bonnie. They all turn to me, I hear a giggle come from Elena as she looks at the clock on the wall.
“Y/N, it’s only 8 p.m.” I look at her in confusion then glance at my watch, “Oh.”
Tyler walks over to me and grabs the super glue from my hand.
“If you have such a hard time with the super glue then Caroline and I will go and do it.” He glances at Caroline who just shakes her head and laughs, “And you say you don't complain a lot.” She says to me as she passes me and squeezes my shoulder.
“I do not complain a lot!” I yell to her as she walks out of the classroom. Elena walks up behind me and wraps her hand around my shoulder.
“Come on, you can help me superglue Ric’s desk, but don’t worry I’ll handle the superglue.” She giggles to herself as she leads me out of the classroom and into the hallway. I’m about to start talking about how hot the hallway is but Elena halts us as a man walks in front of us.
“Yo dude! Didn’t you see us walking here? Move!,” I look at him as he slowly takes his eyes off of Elena and onto me. He stares silently at me, a crease in between his eyebrows as if he’s debating something in his mind. The hallway is dark so I can’t quite see his features as well as I would, but the features I do see are very nice to look at.
“Dude you deaf or something? Usually when someone tells you to move you’re supposed to move,” I frown to myself and then turn to Elena, “Wait, was that offensive?” Elena just looks at me like I’ve grown a second head. A look of fear in her eyes. I look back at the man in front of us.
“Sorry if that offended you man. Sometimes I just say things, but also like to move out of my way now please, thank you.” I go to walk around him bringing Elena with me but I feel the man grab me by the elbow pulling me into the opposite direction.
“Hey! What the actual fuck man!,” I see that he also has Elena by the elbow as he says something to her, but I’m too busy trying to break myself free from his grip.
“Dude literally let me go, also your cologne literally smells like the pre teen-boy section of an Aeropostle.” We halt. I see the man turn towards me with a dark look in his eyes.
“What did you just say to me?” Oh. He’s british. God that’s hot.
“Um, the let go of me part or the shitty perfume thing?” I watch as he looks at me also like I’ve grown a second head. I really need to find a mirror because I’m starting to wonder if I actually have.
“Do you have any idea who you’re talking to?” He asks me with a hard tone.
I tap my chin with my finger in a thoughtful manner and shrug one shoulder, “The sixth member of one direction?” I look up to him with a sarcastic smile and then laugh at the incredulous look on his face, a very nice looking face.
He begins to open his mouth to speak before he shuts it and shakes his head in frustration. And starts dragging Elena and I again.
“Dude-,” “If you open that mouth of yours one more time the next thing to come out of it will be your tongue.” Mr. British cuts me off without giving me a glance. Ok then.
_______
Ok, so Mr. British guy’s name is actually named Klaus. The same Klaus who killed Elena, or he thought he killed her then she came back to life or something. I keep on getting bored with all these stories people keep talking about. Klaus is here though I think to not kill Elena again, or to kill Elena? Once again no clue. But he made me sit on the bleachers and just watch as he snapped Tyler’s neck and told Bonnie to contact some witch or something. There was also a pretty blonde girl, but she left with Tyler’s body and Caroline. I sit on the bleacher for another moment then stand up, screw you British guy.
I step off the bleacher and walk over to Elena who is shaking in fear. I pull her into a hug since I think she might need one. I feel a hand pull me away from her after a moment though and come face to face with the brit.
“Oh, great. It’s you.” I say sarcastically.
“Did you not hear me when I told you to stay seated on the bleacher?” He asks me angrily. His hand was tightening on my shoulder.
“Obviously I heard you man. You like to talk loudly and a fucking lot. You must love to hear your own voice huh? And besides, my ass started to hurt. And also, who died and made you the boss! Just because you’re all strong and have a hot accent doesn’t mean you can just go bossing people around, asshat.”
“Y/N! Stop!” Elena yells to me desperately. I just turn to her and shrug my shoulders, then look back to wannabe Harry Styles. Harriet is looking at me with a dark look, but the grip on my shoulder has lessened.
“Have you always had no self-preservation skills? Or are you just stupid?” He asks me.
I stare at him in disbelief, “You know what dickwad? Just because I don’t want to deal with whatever mid-life crisis you’re currently having doesn’t mean I’m stupid. To actually let you know I have straight A’s,” I stop my rant and then roll my eyes, “Ok, mostly straight A’s, I have one D in art but that’s because my art teacher is like you,” I point to him, “A jackass, and he thinks that only his tastes and thoughts are correct. So it actually isn’t my fault. I personally think my art is much better than his.” I look back up to Klaus and he’s looking at me with an almost contemplative look.
“Has anyone ever told you, you stare a lot?” I ask him with a sarcastic tone.
“Has anyone ever told you, you complain a lot?” He says with the same tone of voice that I used. The corner of his lip starts to move as if he wanted to smirk.
I look up in thought at his question and tap my chin, “You know what, I actually have heard that before. I personally don’t think of it as complaining though. More of, sharing my annoyance with the world.”
The smirk on his lips is very present now and for a second I could’ve sworn it started to turn into a smile.
“To answer your question, I only tend to stare at people who gain my attention.” He tells me, making me stare at him for a second too long.
Ya. Ok. Whatever that means. I go to give him a snarky remark but Stefan runs in looking more brutish than usual.
“Oh look! Stefan’s back!” I say, smiling at him. Which doesn’t even get me a glance in my direction as he keeps his eyes on Klaus who I now notice is standing a little too close to me. Weirdo.
Stefan goes on to say something about something but once again I don’t quite care to listen. So I go and lean against the wall until Blondey from earlier comes in and bites Elena for some reason. I quickly lean up and start walking over to her.
“Hey bitch! Hasn’t anyone ever told you to keep your hands to yourself!” The blonde, who as she looks at me I now notice is very attractive. I have to stop my ogling though because after Klaus rips her from Elena she starts to storm her way over to me. Before she can get to me though my vision is blocked off by Klaus’ back.
“Not her.” He tells blondey rather sternly.
“Whatever.” She says as she storms off out of the gym. Klaus turns back to me and looks at me, eyes moving over my face oddly.
“You need to go home.” He tells me then turns around dismissively. I walk in front of him, stopping him from confronting Stefan.
“You are not the boss of me, and besides why the hell would I ever leave Elena, who is my friend, alone with vampires?” I yell at him, which makes him just roll his eyes.
“Y/N, I’m not going to ask you again, you need to go home.” He tells me.
“Bitch what? You didn’t even ask me shit! You demanded me.” I want to start ripping him a new one but Elena places her hand on my shoulder
“Y/N, I’m going to be ok. Please go home, I need to know at least you’re going to be ok.” She says to me with a dreary smile. I go to argue but she interrupts me again begging me to leave quickly. What the heck is up with people interrupting me.
“Fine,” I turn to Klaus, “But, if anything happens to her, I’m going to rip your dick off.” That makes him give a slight flinch. I give one more look to Elena and Stefan, who gives me a small nod and then head to the door.
When I grab the handle of the door I hear Klaus call my name from behind me, I turn around and jump when I find Klaus standing right behind me.
“Jesus man, warn a woman.”
“Next time we see each other Y/N, I’d like to see that artwork of yours that you believe deserved better than a D.” Klaus says as he looks down to me. I go to speak but nothing seems to want to come out. Klaus must’ve noticed this because a smirk forms onto his face.
“Is this the first time you’ve ever not had a response?” He has the audacity to gain a bigger smirk, “What a shame, I was growing fond of that mouth of yours.”
“Um, ya. Um,” I start to feel my face heat up under his gaze, “I’m leaving now, oddball.” I say as I book it out of the gym. As i make it to the end of the hall I glance over my shoulder and make eye contact with Klaus who’s still standing in the same spot with the same stupid smirk on his face.
“I’ll make sure to wear different cologne next time we meet Y/N.” Klaus says as he walks back into the gym leaving me alone.
“What the actual fuck?”

hi, can you do a one-shot for klaus, where he has a crush on y/n, and they have a one-night stand, and Klaus is sad because he thinks he won't see her again, but then he gets the news that y/n n is pregnant with his daughter (reader gets pregnant, no hayley, y/n is Hope's biological mother) and klaus takes the news well, because it's someone he loves and takes the pregnancy as an opportunity to make t /n love him.
Making her love me
Pairing: Klaus Mikaelson x fem! reader Word count: 7,4k (way too long, sorry not sorry) Warning(s): smut mention, panic attack (a little), swearing, and typical TVD violence. Nonsense from me: I'm so excited to post it since it's my first request/ask or whatever I should call it. I hope it's basically what you asked for, Gallus Anonymous! <3
Tumblr media
Klaus Mikaelson loved Y/N Y/S.
The original hybrid was hopelessly in love with her since the first time he met her on his family's ball. He will always remember that day.
She looked like an angel. Well, maybe more like a devil (judging by the fact that part of her hair was arranged in two small buns imitating horns), but still, she was the most beautiful girl at the party (and maybe in the whole world).
When he saw her, dancing in her black-golden dress with one of Salvatore's brothers, he knew that this girl would be his at the end of the day. Even if he has to fight with these bloody, young vampires.
Unfortunately, Y/N didn't have the same feeling when she first saw him. As a proud member of a Mystic Falls group (who returned to the town after a school exchange), she was obligated to hate the Mikaelsons.
But she must admit to herself that the man with the British accent was incredibly hot.
Damon, noticing Klaus's sudden interest in his friend, decided to use this to his advantage and pushed Y/N into the arms of their nemesis. Klaus was delighted. Y/N disgusted.
The original hybrid stuck to her for the rest of the evening, forgetting all about Caroline. Y/N has since become Klaus Mikaelson's official distraction. And she wasn't happy about it at all.
Her friends would use the Siphon Witch whenever they needed to keep Klaus occupied or to ease his bloodlust after doing something stupid (like stealing white oak stakes right under his nose and 12 obedient hybrids. Great plan, Damon!).
Y/N would have to wisely bump into Mikaelson and spend some time with him until the Mystic Falls heroes fix the shit they made. At least the girl was much less stressed compared to her friends, and sometimes she really enjoyed the company of the hybrid.
Once, a man took her to a cafe-studio where little-known Mystic Falls artists would gather. She returned to the Salvator Brothers' estate in navy blue paint, with little constellations painted by Klaus on her face, arms, and neck. Damon barely refrained from making a sarcastic remark.
Fortunately, Stefan saved him from her very likely wrath, because every time someone makes jokes about Y/N's relationship with Klaus, she gets mad and loses control over her magic power. Once, Bonnie had to repair Stefan's motorcycle. The vampire learned his lesson then and tried not to annoy her again. Sometimes, though, he seriously considered letting his older brother cross the line. He wondered if Damon would cry over a damaged car.
With time passing, Klaus had only a stronger crush on her. Everyone knows that. Expect Y/N herself.
At best, she thought the hybrid regarded her as some sort of friend or a distraction between his villainous grand schemes. There could be no feelings between them. Not when she already had a very loving boyfriend whom the original hybrid found out about at a 1920s school party.
She bewitched him completely then. And he was ready to tell her the truth about his real feelings for her and try to make her his, but then he saw this other guy holding her like he wanted to hold her the first time he met her. For Klaus, this man didn't deserve her attention; that human didn't realize how valuable a treasure he was holding in his hands right now. Klaus wanted to go away and let Y/N enjoy dancing with this lesser man. He really does. But when she turned and looked at him with these beautiful, delightful eyes, he couldn't just disappear without exchanging one last word with her.
After all, Klaus was a selfish man.
"You don't mind if I cut into you." Klaus' voice came from behind me, making me shiver.
"Yes. Actually, we do." My boyfriend snarled, recognizing the guy who was "hanging dangerously around me." He had no idea about the supernatural shite we were in and I had no idea how to tell him all of this (or just didn't want to).
Klaus just smiled unfazed, catching his gaze.
"Why don't you go somewhere far away and come back in 20 minutes? You can be useful and bring the beautiful lady something to drink." my boyfriend dutifully obeyed, leaving me with a smug hybrid. "Shall we, love?" he grabbed my hand and pulled me to him, swaying to some slow, romantic song without waiting for my response.
"Why do you always have to prove you're the alpha male?"
"I don't have to prove anything, love, I'm the alpha male." he replied, offended. I rolled my eyes, sighing.
"You would've loved the 1920s, Y/N. Girls were reckless, sexy, and fun. They literally used to dance until they dropped." he turned me around, smiling slyly.
"Since they were so reckless and drunk, I suppose it was easier for you to find a lover then."
"You should be nicer to me. I'm leaving town tomorrow." I shifted my gaze to him, shocked by the information he had thrown at me. "I'd invite you to come with me, but we both know that you're not ready to accept my offer. Perhaps one day you'll turn up at my door and let me show you what the world has to offer."
"How many girls fell for it? A magical tour of the world with an all-powerful original who plays with them like toys?"
"You mark my words. Small-town boy, small-town life won't be enough for you." he said, completely ignoring my previous words.
"And how do you know what's enough for me?"
"Because I know you, Y/N. Do you imagine marrying that stupid man with whom you were dancing later? Giving him children, living too short to make your real dreams come true?" I wanted to look away from him, but he gently grabbed my chin, forcing me to confront him and all my fears at the same time. "You want love, trust, passion, excitement, and even a little power, and unlike this fool, I can give you all of this and more. Just say a word."
"But for what price?" I asked, taking a big breath.
I realized we were much closer than was appropriate for a dance, but neither of us cared. His gaze was moving from my eyes to my mouth. I licked my chapped lips unconsciously, stuck in some incomprehensible anticipation. Only for what?
"Kaus. Y/N. I finally found you two. We have a problem. Klaus' mother is back." Stefan interrupted the moment between us.
I swear I could hear a little swear from the hybrid before he took my hand and led me towards Stefan, who was hurrying away.
After that, T/N didn't get a chance to meet Klaus again. Since they were on opposite camps in finding the cure, Y/N tried to avoid the hybrid at all costs. He just wanted to use her. Seduce her with his sweet words to make her do everything he wanted. She had no other explanation.
Klaus, on the other hand, tried to get her out of his head in every way he knew how. He couldn't keep up with adding new canvases for the portraits of his one-sided crush. His siblings were starting to worry about him.
Especially after he found out her boyfriend was going to propose to her. (Damon has never been prouder of being a gossip boy.) This overflowed the hybrid's cup of bitterness.
Kol and Elijah walked around their brother like they were on eggshells. Rebekah, on the other hand, has no such pity. It was her occasion to tease Klaus, like he was doing whenever she fell in love (at least Rebekah didn't want to kill Y/N like SOMEONE).
But nevertheless, she was the one to tell Klaus that Y/N rejected her boyfriend's proposal. The original never loved his sister more. He was happy that Y/N was now single, and he even thought that in the near future he may have a little chance with her since there were no other competitors for her heart.
But even in his wildest dreams, Klaus would not have dared to think that Y/N would knock on his door that same day and greedily bite into his lips as soon as he opened it. And not that she'd start ripping his clothes off and pushing him into his bedroom (which surprised him, given that she knew how to get there without his directions).
He never would have thought that one night would change his life forever.
~•♤♤♤•~
Y/N's POV
I sighed, rolling over to the other side of the bed as the first rays of sunlight somehow hit my eye. I always kept the windows closed. How come I didn't do it this time? Reluctantly, I opened one eyes to look at my treacherous bedroom window, only to found out that I wasn't in my room.
Also, not in my bed.
And not in any clothes.
AND DEFINITELY NOT ALONE.
As soon as I looked at the calm, sleeping, and clearly satisfied (judging by his disheveled hair) Klaus, memories of last night started flooding back to me.
Panicked, I looked around the room for my clothes, trying to ignore the sight of overturned furniture, a broken mirror, and even a dent in the wall. Unsuccessfully. My face has never been so close to the color of my blood.
Once I'd traced my things, I carefully got out of bed and dressed as quietly as I could, closing the vampire's bedroom door behind me. Now all I had to do was get out of the house full of originals unnoticed. Simple, right?
"Y/N, darling! What a pleasure to see you this morning. How do you feel?" Klaus' little brother jumped out of nowhere and threw one arm around my shoulders, making me come inside the house again.
"Hello Kol. Bye Kol." I tried to dodge him, but he sped up to stand in front of me.
"Wait a minute half-witch. You're going to leave my brother like this? After your… noisy night? He'll be devastated. Was he not up to the task? I could teach him a bit if that's a problem for you. You have my word that within a week you won't be able to stop…"
"Kol! For the bloody hell, stop this awkward conversation. I'm sorry for him, usually we keep him in a coffin." Rebekah cut him off and stood next to him, glaring at him furiously.
"Um… no problem, I guess. If you don't mind, I'm gonna go now."
With even redder cheeks, I ran out of the mansion and, at the speed of light, got into my car, driving far away from this town. I needed rest, and I knew only one person who would be willing to take me under their roof without any questions.
"Hi Katherine. Where are you right now?"
~•♤♤♤•~
"Are you sure it's just food poisoning? Won't you die here suddenly? Do you want my blood?" Katherine flooded me with questions as I returned to our table.
It's been 2 months since my "great escape," as Damon liked to call it, from Mystic Falls. At that time, I was traveling with Katherine around the United States, doing what I wanted to do most: seeing the world (starting with small things like staying in all states). After the brunette gave the cure to Elijah (while experiencing her epic love story with him, which ended with her heartbreak over Elena's meddling and Elijah's doubts), she decided to accompany me on my quest.
I had to arrange everything in my head. What I wanted out of life, who I wanted to be, and so on.
That was the main purpose of this trip.
In fact, I helped Katherine heal her broken heart and tried to avoid the topic of Klaus Mikaelson like the plague. With small or big successes depending on the day.
Sometimes Damon, Stefan, or Bonnie would mention how snappy he'd become after my sudden departure or that he was asking them about my whereabouts. The worst was his drunken voicemails he left. They ended after the first month, but they were the biggest test of my perseverance. I had to piece my twisted life together before adding my love problems with the world's (nearly) oldest living vampire to the puzzle.
At least that was the plan until those New Orleans bitches got me.
As soon as we left the bar, some girls accosted us and knocked us out with magic. I woke up in some cold, dank, musty crypt with Katherine by my side. At least I wasn't alone. We both had a better chance of defeating those witches. The new thing in those two months was my sudden ability to do magic without any source of energy. It looked like my abilities were starting to screw up too.
"Are you Y/N Y/S?" one of the witches approached us, staring at me warily.
"One and only. May I know who I am having the pleasure of?"
"Sophie Deveraux."
"Sophie. Some time ago, I knew a girl with this name. She got under my skin too. She is dead now. You can guess what happened to her."
"Yeah. It's definitely her. I couldn't imagine someone more of this psycho's type." she told her friends. The women grabbed us both and led us out of the makeshift cell to drag us to the main hall of the crypt.
"Allright. Can one of us tell why you are holding us here?"
"We need you, sugar, but your friend is just an accessory, so if you want both of you to get out of this somehow, you'll keep quiet." seeing that I had no intention of objecting, the unknown woman smiled victoriously. "Good girl."
I gave her a sweet smile before breaking her neck with a flick of my wrist. There was a sudden commotion around us. Katherine suffered a brain aneurysm after one of the witches raised her hand on her. The brunette screamed once before someone else appeared in the crypt, tearing out the heart of the witch who was attacking her.
Elijah.
Elijah came to save the day.
"I thought you wanted to talk, and both Katherine and Y/N were supposed to be unharmed." he said in his legal tone, shoving his hands in his pockets as he stepped between me and Kath. The woman was as pleased with the presence of the original as I was.
"She started." Sophie pointed at me. Elijah turned to look at me. I shrugged.
"You make me." I answered her with a malicious smile.
"Y/N." the man said warningly. This noble bastard won't tell me what to do.
"Elijah. Nice to see you. Maybe you can tell us why we've been locked in some fucking tomb? Is this some kind of revenge of yours, or did we get caught in the crossfire of Mikaelson's skirmishes purely by chance?"
"I would like to know that too. You wanted to be heard. Speak, before I change my mind." he turned to the witches without changing his defensive position.
I gave Katherine a brief, knowing glance. The woman reluctantly nodded at me. Great. We have personal cannon fodder if things get hotter.
"Marcel Gerard, ruler of the city, forbade the witches of my coven to use any magic. We want your help. Especially your brother's."
"Niklaus? You have to make him go to town first. And as far as I know, she's not in the mood for any outings right now."
"Even if he gets a message from her?"
"Your mother didn't teach you not to point at people?"I growled at her as she did it again. "Besides, I didn't text… You have my phone, don't you?" I asked, realizing it was their only way of contacting the hybrid. The woman tossed me my phone with a sly smirk.
"Read." I scowled but followed her instructions anyway, wondering what it was that would make him stick his nose out of Mystic Falls.
"I need you, Klaus. New Orleans. Witches cemetery. Please help me. Yeah. I can already tell you that he won't come. We're waiting here for no reason."
"And why is that?"
"This news reeks of a damsel in distress from a mile away. I would never write to him like that. I also doubt if he even cares what happens to…" I stopped when I heard someone's scream in the distance. A man mentioned earlier had burst in with blood on his hands and lips.
Well… mistakes happen.
"Great! Now that we're all here, we can start. We need your help." The woman began to explain the whole thing about Marcel and the witches. Everything was clear except for one thing.
"And where exactly is my role in this Machiavellian plan of yours?" I asked, crossing my arms over my chest.
"And who said I would agree to it instead of just killing you all and taking Y/N out of here?"
"I can take myself and KATHERINE out, Klaus. I don't need your help."
"Oh, do you?" he took a few steps towards me to stand in front of me. I snorted, returning his dark gaze. There's no way I'll be afraid of him.
"That's how we get to the main topic." Sophie paused, catching our attention again. Klaus stood next to his brother, giving the witch his famous sinister look while he was waiting for her to continue. "You see, I have a special gift for knowing when a woman is pregnant."
"And how exactly is this fact important to us?"
"She's carrying Klaus' child."
I broke the sudden silence in the crypt with a very loud laugh.
"And you're insane or a very, very bad liar."
"I'm telling the truth! You're pregnant with his child." she tried desperately to convince us.
"Vampires can't procreate, ergo, I am not in any false pregnancy."
"Vampires can't. But werewolves can. And Klaus is both."
"That's ridiculous. Klaus, say something! She didn't tell the truth, did she?" I tried to find support from the speechless Klaus. By the way, I think it was the first time I saw him without words.
"Y/N, be quite for a second."
"What? Elijah, are you believing her?" the man responded with nothing, staring at me with a strange look.
Klaus walked over to me. He stopped a few steps in front of me, staring at my belly as if he was hypnotized.
"I can hear it." he whispered, looking at me in disbelief.
"Hear what?"
"The baby's heart."
"What? But... it's impossible." I suddenly felt my heart beating much faster, as I was unable to catch my breath properly.
"It is. Like being a hybrid or a witch without her own magic. And yet we're here. And we gonna have a baby."
"No. That's a lie. I... we... I need fresh air." I avoided the brothers standing in front of me and headed the way Klaus had come from earlier. Unfortunately, one of these witches blocked my way and grabbed my arm tightly.
"You're not going anywhere until we settle the details of our deal." right after she said that, I felt her hand being removed from me. I was pulled against someone's strong chest. The familiar smell of Klaus' perfume brought me a momentary sense of relief.
"Touch her again, and I'll make sure that's the last thing you gonna do before I take your miserable life away from you." Klaus growled, tightening his protective grip on me and scouring the present witches with a hostile glare.
"Calm down, both of you. Neither of you will have any use for her if she faints here. Klaus, take her outside. Elijah and I will take care of everything."
Klaus glanced at Elijah. His brother nodded, encouraging him to leave. The hybrid took my hand gently and led us out onto the streets of New Orleans. We stopped in a square. Klaus sat me down on a bench and knelt in front of me, carefully watching me take slow, deep breaths, trying to calm down.
When I was sure my magic wouldn't suddenly blow up the whole city, I opened my eyes tentatively to meet the vampire's concerned gaze. I swallowed, turning my eyes away from him. He was still kneeling in front of me with his hands on my lap.
"Are you better?"
"I think so." I glanced at him nervously, fiddling with the bracelets on my wrist to internally brace myself for asking the original thousand-year-old hybrid about something incredibly... stupid. "Can you... go to the one place with me?"
"Are you sure you want to go back there, love?" I shivered when I heard this familiar nickname. I missed this. Klaus misread my reaction as he shrugged off his leather jacket and covered me with it.
"Thanks. I don't want to go back there. I think, well, I need to be perfectly sure it's true that..." I stopped, unable to say the words aloud. It would have been too real then, and right now I couldn't accept even the slightest possibility.
"That we're going to be parents?"
"Yhm. Will you go with me to the gynecologist? I don't want to do this alone."
"Anything you want, love. I'll check the address." he sat next to me and started searching for the location of the nearest clinic on his phone.
As we sat together in silence, I began to wonder at the absurdity of this situation. And the improbable, rational behavior of the hybrid sitting next to me.
"Klaus?" I asked, yanking him off the phone for a moment.
"Yes?"
"You're not... you know. Crazy about this? Or something like that. I mean... I thought you gonna ask me if it's yours, of course if it even exist, but still. You're so... calm. Like not you."
"Would you rather me to run mad around town and deny our baby?" I chuckled, imagining his lunatic walk through the streets.
"No. To be honest, I would have expected something like that than this, but it's a nice surprise. It's enough that one of us is scared to death. Thank you for keeping a cold head."
"Don't get used to it, love. C'mon. I know where to go."
In less than five minutes, we got to the building and waited in line. There were many other people in the waiting room, but what caught my attention the most was a couple sitting in the corner. Husband and wife. The woman was probably in her third trimester (or had quadruplets. God, please let me have only one if there are any.) The man whispered something tenderly into her belly, and she smiled at him with just as much adoration. Involuntarily, I imagined Klaus and myself in this situation. I glanced at the tense vampire next to me. He was also staring at the couple.
"Y/N Y/S?"
"It's me."
"Are you going alone or do you have any company, dear?"
"My boyfriend is coming with me." I said, taking Klaus' hand. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw an amused smirk on his lips. We started walking hand in hand behind the doctor. The vampire leaned toward me.
"Boyfirend, huh?" he whispered in my ear, clearly pleased with the situation.
"Don't get used to it, love." I repeated his earlier words, trying to imitate his tone of voice. The man chuckled, politely following the doctor with me.
I had to admit that it was funny to watch Klaus in such a... strange situation. His nervous, slightly stressed demeanor gave me courage as I lay there waiting for the ultrasound results. The cold gel tickled slightly, but I gritted my teeth, waiting for the final confirmation of my fate.
"There it is. That's your baby. Congratulations!"
Klaus put his hand on my shoulder and leaned gently toward the small screen. I stared at the tiny speck as if it were enchanted. It really was happening. I will be a mother.
"Do you want to hear your baby's heartbeat?"
"Could you give us first a second alone, doctor?" Klaus spoke as he saw me still staring blankly at the screen.
"Of course. I'll be back in a few minutes."
"Oh, my God. It's real. We'll have a baby." I choked out after a few seconds of silence between us.
"You took that information really quickly, love."
I punched him lightly on the shoulder, finally turning my attention to the man standing next to me.
"Stop joking with me. Aren't you scared? I mean, a few hours ago we were on the other side of the country, living our lives, and now we're looking at some stain, which is our baby. Are you that calm, or am I being dramatic?"
"Of course I'm afraid, but I know we're going to figure it out. Maybe if it were someone other than you, I would be paranoid and mad, but it's you. With you by my side? Nothing can go wrong." I burst into tears at his emotional confession. Stupid pregnancy hormones.
"Come here, you idiot." I wrapped my arms around his waist and snuggled into him. "I hope Katherine got our things back."
"Yes. Speaking about her..." he said, moving away from me to look at my face.
"She is staying with me and you're not going to kill her." I said it in a tone that left no room for any objection. It's been 500 years; whatever conflict there was between them should be over by now.
"Absolutely not."
"Yes? So be prepared that if this little one is a girl, she'll be named after aunt Katherine, who couldn't be there for her mom because her dad is acting like he's on his period."
"You know you've been pregnant for a few hours, and you're already using it against me?" he asked resignedly. The grimace on his face was a clear sign of my victory.
"Get used to it. You're stuck with me for a while."
"I think I can work with that. Let's go home. I think uncle Elijah and Katherine will want to see the first photo of the newest member of the Mikaelson family."

*Two months leter*
"Good morning, Y/N"
"Morning Elijah." I grunted from my book, never taking my eyes off the text I was reading.
"Have you eaten yet? Want me to make you pancakes?"
"Actually..." I didn't have time to answer, because an extremely happy hybrid came out of the kitchen with a large tray on which was my breakfast.
Elijah looked at his brother in disbelief as he sat comfortably next to me on the couch and began feeding me with a fork while I continued to read my book as if nothing had happened.
"Niklaus. Can you explain?" his brother was shifting his bewildered gaze between us.
"His werewolf hormones tell him to look after me. So when I told him I wasn't having breakfast today because I didn't want to stand in this heat by the stove, he made it his morning's main goal to make me a decent meal. At least Marcel and the witches will get some rest from him today."
"Werewolf hormones?" very amused Kol entered the living room, staring at the hybrid with a malicious smirk.
"Yes, brother. Werewolf hormones." Klaus' cool tone caught my attention away from the book.
"Of course... your werewolf hormones. So that's what they call it now. Just don't flood Y/N with this sudden tenderness, or the girl will get scared and run away from you again." before Klaus could make any move towards his younger brother, I grabbed his hand and moved him so that I could get more comfortable on his chest.
"He is weird." I commented as I took a grape from the bowl and popped it into Klaus' mouth, much to Elijah's astonishment.
"Weird? No. Just a little joker. I have to go now. I'll meet you later, Niklaus. Please, don't start without me."
"Do I want to know what he was talking about?" I asked, giving him a curious look.
"It depends. Will you get angry?"
"If it has to do with that teenage witch, Davina, that your adopted son treats like a daughter? Probably." his silence was an answer enough. I pulled away from him, eyeing him disapprovingly.
"Klaus."
"Yes, love?"
"Promise me you're not going to hurt her."
"And what does it matter? I'm not Elijah, how sure are you that I'll keep my word?" my angry look, however, fortunately made him give up. "Alright. She'll be fine." he sighed, rolling his eyes.
"Thank you. On the way back, you can stop by the store and buy me more chocolate and ice cream."
"As you wish."
He got up from the couch, placed a quick kiss on my already-showing belly, and left the living room, passing Rebekah as she entered. His sister looked at me curiously.
"What?" I asked, fed up with her penetrating gaze.
"Nothing. You two seemd very... compatible with each other. I'm impressed."
"Well, he's the father of my baby. We have to get along. For the baby's sake, it's best if we're friends."
"Surely." she hummed, completely unconvinced.
"Rebekah. What do you mean?"
"I mean that "just friends" wouldn't act that way. My brother never treated anyone with such affection. He's doing everything he can to impress you. For a bloody hell, he even changed his plan to take over the city for you!"
"She is right." Katherine walked past her and threw herself on the couch next to me. "He does everything he can think of to make you fall in love with him. For example, that "almost date" at the best restaurant in New Orleans last week. Or the fact that you've been given unlimited access to his credit cards, safes, stashes of clothes, and God knows what else. Or that weekend out of town so you could relax. Do you think they seriously didn't have a second room with two beds in the hotel?"
"Nik used the one bed trope? He's even more desperate than I previously thought." Rebekah snorted as she poured herself a glass of whiskey.
"Even if what you say is true, which I doubt, I have no intention of changing anything. Klaus and I work well as friends, and for the sake of this child, we will continue to be them so."
"So you don't love him back?" Rebekah questioned, coming to me, so she could stay in front of me. Her evaluative look somehow made me feel guilty.
"It doesn't matter what I want or feel. The most important thing for me is my child and I will do everything to ensure at least a little normality for them. If Klaus and I tried to be together and it didn't work out... At least this child deserves reasonably normal parents."
"What if you were happy together and created a loving family? Wouldn't that be better for everyone?"
"It's not worth the risk, Bekah." I replied, getting up from the couch to escape the inconvenient conversation with the original vampire.
"Risk of what?"
Losing him.
I didn't answer as I left the room. I decided to hide in the library for the rest of the day and try to forget the doubts the blonde had stirred up in me.
But my wild imagination did not give up so easily. I began to consider a possible relationship with Klaus. Despite what I told the girls, I wasn't blind to Klaus'… flirtatious remarks and behavior. I saw every long, stolen glance at me, every quick look at my lips during any conversation, and most of all, the longing shining in his eyes that was so similar to mine and that I somehow managed to hide from him.
I wanted to spend my life with him. But I also knew that I'm not enough to keep him away from his scheming and fighting for power. For the good of this baby, I had to be content with being his formal one-night stand and friend at best. Even if my heart yearned for him every single day.
Thinking about my unattainable future, I didn't even notice when I got to the library. But I certainly saw two people kissing in the room.
Klaus and Camille. At least he cleared up all my doubts.
I was probably the only one who noticed how my heart shattered into a million pieces. At least until Klaus pulled away from her, confused, and spotted me in the doorway.
"Y/N." he whispered, terrified.
"I'm sorry, I didn't want to interrupt… I'll leave you alone."
"No! Y/N, wait!" he shouted, trying to get to me, but before he got even a step closer, I used my magic to teleport myself to a New Orleans street.
I leaned against the building next to me as the first post-teleport symptoms started to hit me and my head started spinning a bit. I shouldn't have done it while being pregnant, but well… I couldn't stay in the same room with these two any longer.
Once I had recovered, I decided to order myself a hot chocolate and sit with it in the park to collect my thoughts. I had to come up with some clever, eloquent way out of this predicament. And most of all, refrain from crying.
Thinking about this situation, after all, everything happened as I wanted. Klaus had found someone else to adore, so I could stop worrying about the deterioration of my relationship with the Mikaelsons.
We would be friends.
Just as I wished.
The only problems were my stupid broken heart and festering feelings of jealousy.
I wiped a tear running down my cheek with the sleeve of my sweatshirt. I shook my head, taking a few deep breaths to calm myself down. Something that stupid couldn't get me off balance. I had to be strong. If not for myself, then at least for this little one.
My phone buzzed. I pulled it out of my pants pocket and glanced at the screen to see the photo of Klaus sleeping with me on the couch that I had set as his contact picture.
I remembered that night. It was one of the first month at the Mikaelson Mansion and also my favorite.
"Can't sleep?" Klaus stepped out of the shadows to stand in front of the fireplace, which flames I had been staring at earlier.
"Not even tried."
"May I?" he asked, pointing to the blanket that covered me. I nodded, opening the hem so he could slip into the space next to me. He put his arm around me, moving us into a more comfortable position. One of his hands automatically went to my slightly rounded belly. I sighed, resting my head against his shoulder, and returned to staring at the flames of the fire. "What's bothering you?"
"Remember when Tyler kidnapped me and…"
"Please tell me you're not going to lecture me again about how I shouldn't have attacked Elijah." he interrupted me with a groan of displeasure.
"I'm not, but your brother didn't deserve this. Even if he was talking some shit about you. You knew I would never believe it."
"You wouldn't?"
"Of course not. You always try to protect your family, not always in a good way, I have to admit, but still, I know you would never use your own child for your games. I trust you." he tightened his grip on me and cleared his throat.
"It's good to know you're at least on my side, love."
"Your siblings too. If you'd just let them in, maybe you'd see it too, but that's a topic for another time."
"I know better ways to spend my free time with you, love. One of them brought us to this situation." he smiled slyly, wiggling his eyebrows suggestively.
"Very funny, but we have to talk about something serious."
"I'm sorry. What are you thinking about?"
"Have you ever thought about whether there is a chance for our child to be… a tribrid?"
"Tribrid?" he asked, confused, stopping to play with my hair.
"You know. You're half vampire, half werewolf; I'm a witch, siphon, but still… Can our baby inherit all of this from us?"
"They might as well only have the gene of a werewolf, a witch, a vampire, or a hybrid. I think all options are possible. Maybe in my mother's grimoire we can find the answer to that question. These books are as old as the world."
"You can include the birth of a miracle baby in your search. I hope we won't summon a demon into the world." I joked, turning slightly to look at his face again.
"I thought you already knew that the demon has been walking around this world for a long time, and you're cuddling with him on the couch. By the way, it's our search."
"Our? You seriously want to just give me access to your mother's precious books? The same ones that have so much knowledge inside them that you won't let any other witch see them whole, or even your siblings?" I was shocked. I would never in my life expect something like this from him, but on the other hand, he has done astonishing things many times before.
"You're different."
"Like how?"
"I trust you."
"You did?" I whispered after a few seconds of silence. Those words were more striking than three others of equal importance he might have said to me. Klaus doesn't trust people that easily, I think he falls in love with them more often…
"You wouldn't be the first to hear about all my plans if I didn't. Besides, you're the mother of my heir..."
"Keep treating your family like a fucking dynasty, and you'll have to buy me a crown and my own castle." I cut him off when I heard that horrible term for our baby.
"Why do you need a castle when you already have your throne, love?"
"You're impossible." I chuckled at this awful attempt at flirting.
"That's why you like me."
"Maybe." I yawned suddenly, unaware of how tired I was. I felt the hybrid's soft, warm lips against my hair before both the blanket cocoon and his grip tightened around me.
"Sleep. I'll stay with you and I will chase away your nightmares."
"How did you know?" I asked, feeling him gently brush away the strands of hair that had fallen over my eyes.
"I know you. Besides, I can hear everything through these thin walls. I would rather hear your screams for other reasons than nightmares."
"Deviant."
"Only yours." I heard as if through a haze before falling into a deep, peaceful sleep.
The next day, Katherine found us sleeping together and took a picture of us. One of my favorites.
Before I could answer the phone, I felt someone snatch it from my hand, and something hit my head at breakneck speed, knocking me out. Stupid witches.
~•♤♤♤•~
~A few hours later~
I was kneeling in front of the crib that Katherine and Rebekah had set up after the whole witches' fiasco. After those damn witches kidnapped me, they cast some strange spell on me and the baby to speed up her (as it turned out) growth and thus her birth.
A few hours ago, I was a human pregnant with a hybrid. Now I was a heretic, the mother of the thyrbid, the most powerful creature on earth.
I guess life with the Mikaelsons was all about sudden, unexpected changes. At least they weren't boring.
Elijah, Kol, Klaus, and Marcel were running around the city, killing the last witches who had allied with Esther. Rebekah and Katherine have been delegated to look after me and the baby until the boys get the hang of the situation. A bit sexist, but I didn't have the energy to argue about it. Not after I so impressively returned to the graveyard and killed half the coven.
After feeding on the blood from the bag, the girls gave me a moment alone with my sleeping daughter. Her first day in this world, and she was already trying to get killed.
"Y/N." Klaus' tired sigh snapped me out of my thoughts. For the first time in hours, I shifted my gaze to something other than my daughter and met a face as tired and bloodstained as mine.
"Hi." he knelt uncertainly beside me, glancing at the baby sleeping in the cradle.
"She is beautiful. So similar to you." he whispered softly, afraid he would wake her up at any moment.
"She has a look of the devil in her eyes. That's all you."
The girl stirred in her sleep, as if hearing us talk about her. Two loving, child-infatuated looks appeared on Klaus' and mine's faces.
"She needs a name. You made a decision?"
"I was thinking about Zoe and Caitlyn. But I think we both know that Katherine Jr. is the best fit for her."
"God no." I chuckled, trying not to wake the baby after seeing his terrified look..
"Got a counterproposal?"
"Hope."
"Hope. That's actually nice. Hope Mikaelson."
"Mikaelson?"
"What? Are you not the father?" I asked teasingly.
"I'm but... I thought you'd want her to have your last name."
"Mikaelson suits her better." I replied with a shrug.
"Well, then I guess it will be Hope Y/N Mikaelson." I smiled at him, resting my head tiredly on his shoulder. We both stared in awe at the new member of the Mikaelson family.
"How did you come to that? Hope?"
"With Elijah's little help. When I found you… dead. Elijah said that I ruined our family's last hope by making out with this bartender, which, by the way, is not exactly true."
"Klaus..."
"No. Let me finish. I've never been so helpless and scared in all my life as I was a few hours ago. Never, not even in the worst, darkest moments of my life, have I been so broken, so despairing, than when I held your dead body. Whatever you think now, whatever you feel, the truth has to be told. I love you. I've loved you since the first time I saw you, and each day only brings me closer to you. You're the only one who can make me so mad, terrified, or happy. You taught me unconditional love, and even if you don't share my feelings, I want you to know that you completely changed me. It will be my life's purpose to make sure that our daughter and you are safe and satisfied." I stared at him with tears in my eyes, listening to his touching confession.
"I was so mad at you and Camille, but... I can't blame her; falling for you is as easy as breathing. Not when I did it a long time ago."
"You did?"
"Yes. And I don't want to hide it anymore. I can't hide it anymore. As I turned into vampire, everything I feel for you since all this time is more intensive. My desires, my love, and my longing - I feel them so much that I can't even imagine spending one more hour without your words, touch, or kiss. I don't want to live in a world where we're just friends. So if you promise that this is forever, then I..."
Klaus cut me off, pulling me into a longing, long-expected, passionate kiss. I moaned into his mouth, pulling him as close as possible by the strands of his hair. At one point, I bit his lip until it bled. My new ability was immediately activated. My fangs slid out of my gums by themselves, digging into his lip and sucking more of his delicious, sweet blood. We broke apart when we were completely out of breath. Klaus licked his lips, staring lustfully at my black-veined face and bloody mouth.
"I promise. You're mine. For always and forever, love."
"And you're mine. For always and forever."
"Aw... Congratulations, Nik! It only took you one child to make her yours. I thought it would take you at least three." Kol suddenly appeared in the doorway, interrupting our moment.
Klaus growled at him and threw the baby monitor at his brother. Kol dodged at the last second and tossed the device back at him, sticking out his tongue before he ran as fast as his legs could take him. I giggled, drawing the hybrid into a tender kiss.
Yeah, I wouldn't trade it for anything in the world.

sleep with the enemy — jeremy gilbert x reader
Tumblr media
☄. *. ⋆
content warnings and genre: swearing, alcohol consumption, sex, violence, enemies to lovers (again) — smut
˚ ༘♡ ⋆。˚
synopsis: you couldn't deny how attracted you were to the infamous vampire hunter, but you had him wrapped around your finger as much as he had you around his.
✧.*
in the dimly lit study of the salvatore boarding house, the atmosphere crackled with tension. soft rays of moonlight filtered through the curtains, casting a ghostly glow upon the assembled group. damon salvatore, his signature smirk dancing on his lips, leaned casually against a bookshelf. stefan, his expression more serious, stood by the window, his gaze fixed on the outside world. the notorious vampire brothers, united by a common enemy, had convened to discuss their strategy.
damon's voice, dripping with sarcastic charm, broke the silence. “well, well, well. look who decided to grace us with her presence.” he tilted his head towards the entrance where you stood, a glimmer of defiance in your eyes. clad in dark attire that seemed to absorb the very essence of the shadows, you exuded an air of mysterious confidence that demanded attention.
you returned damon's gaze with an arched eyebrow. “oh, don't flatter yourself, salvatore. i'm just here to make sure your incompetence doesn't doom us all.”
jeremy gilbert, leaning against the wall, observed the exchange with an intrigued yet wary expression. his hunter's instincts were on high alert, his hand unconsciously drifting towards the wooden stake tucked in his belt. you and jeremy had clashed numerous times before, a dance of survival in a world where vampires and vampire hunters were perpetually at odds.
stefan's voice cut through the simmering tension. “enough of the bickering, you two. we have a common enemy, and katherine won't wait for us to sort out our differences.”
eamon pushed himself off the bookshelf, sauntering towards the center of the room. “right you are, baby brother. so, here's the plan. we gather information on katherine's latest whereabouts, pinpoint her weaknesses, and work together to take her down.”
you folded your arms, your gaze still locked on damon. “and what's in it for us? why should we risk our lives to help you?” stefan's voice remained steady. “because if katherine gets her hands on the cure for vampirism, she'll be unstoppable. and that means bad news for all of us.”
jeremy's eyes flickered between you and damon. “stefan's right. we might not like each other, but working together is our best chance at stopping her.”
a derisive snort escaped your lips. “i can't believe i'm agreeing with little gilbert. fine, we'll play along. but don't expect me to hold your hand through this.”
jeremy's grin widened. “oh, sweetheart, i wouldn't dream of it.”
as the meeting adjourned, you exchanged a lingering glare with him. the storm of emotions beneath the surface was palpable—hatred mingled with curiosity, distrust warring against a reluctant sense of partnership. little did you both know, the journey ahead would test not only your determination to take down katherine, but also the boundaries of your own hearts.
the next evening, in the dimly lit parlor of the salvatore boarding house, stefan stood at the head of a long table, his gaze focused on the assembled group. you and jeremy sat on opposite sides, your postures tense and guarded, radiating an air of defiance that seemed to challenge the very notion of cooperation.
stefan cleared his throat, his voice calm yet authoritative. “alright, listen up. we've got a lead on katherine's location, and we need to act fast. but we can't do this separately. damon and i will handle one part of the mission, while you two,” he gestured towards you and jeremy, “will work together on another.”
a collective tension gripped the room, as if everyone was holding their breath, waiting for the inevitable eruption of objections.
you leaned back in your chair, your eyes narrowing. “oh, i'm sorry, did i accidentally step into an alternate universe where i actually care what the gilbert boy thinks?”
jeremy shot you a defiant glare. “trust me, the feeling is entirely mutual. i'd rather be stuck in a room with vervain-soaked chains than work with a bloodsucker.”
stefan's patience remained unshaken. “enough. we don't have time for this. katherine is dangerous, and our only chance is to pool our resources. we need both of your skills to succeed.”
you crossed your arms, your lips curling into a sneer. “and what skills would those be, exactly? his knack for getting himself captured or my ability to actually get things done?”
jeremy's jaw tightened, his knuckles whitening as he clenched his fists. “at least i'm not a parasite that preys on innocent people.”
damon, who had been lounging against a nearby wall, chimed in with his characteristic smirk. “ah, young love. so heartwarming.”
stefan's voice held a note of finality. “this is not up for negotiation. you two are going to work together, whether you like it or not. we're out of options.”
a heavy silence settled in the room, the weight of impending collaboration hanging in the air. reluctantly, you and jeremy exchanged a glance, both recognizing the gravity of the situation. despite your shared disdain, the mission ahead was too critical to ignore.
with a resigned sigh, you leaned forward, your voice dripping with sarcasm. “fine. i'll try my best not to kill him—accidentally.”
jeremy rolled his eyes, his lips quirking into a reluctant half-smile. “yeah, i'll do my best not to, uh, aim for your heart.”
stefan's gaze softened, a glimmer of hope in his eyes. “good. let's focus on the mission. we'll meet back here in twenty-four hours to share what we've found.”
as the meeting adjourned, you and jeremy exchanged one last lingering look, a silent understanding passing between you. the enemies were reluctantly united, bound by the threads of necessity. and as the stakes grew higher, the blurred lines between hatred and something else began to reveal themselves in the shadows of your minds.
the following evening found you and jeremy in the dimly lit ambiance of the mystic grill, a popular gathering spot for both humans and supernatural beings alike. seated across from each other at a corner booth, tension hummed between you like an electric current, crackling with the weight of untold history.
you took a sip of your drink, casting a pointed look at jeremy. “i have to say, gilbert, your taste in venues hasn't improved much since the last time we were here.”
he smirked, swirling his drink thoughtfully. “can't say i agree, the last time we were here, you couldn't resist me at all.”
you chuckled softly, an edge of bitterness in your tone. “that was a long time ago. besides, i didn't see you complaining when you were telling me i was the best you've ever had.”
his lips twitched into a playful grin. “well, i've learned that a good dose of embarrassment keeps the heart rate up. important for a hunter, you know.”
as your laughter mingled with the surrounding chatter, a nostalgic air lingered beneath the surface of your interactions. despite the insults and snarky remarks, there was an undeniable chemistry that both of you had once succumbed to.
“you know, for a hunter, you've always been surprisingly skilled at evasion,” you mused, studying him through half-lidded eyes.
he leaned in, his voice lowered to a conspiratorial tone. “and you, for a vampire, have always managed to find new and inventive ways to get under my skin.”
the air between you shifted, a current of unresolved tension tangling with memories you both seemed keen on suppressing. but in the midst of your verbal sparring, there was a vulnerability that lingered—a shared history that couldn't be erased.
a wistful smile tugged at your lips. “remember that night we spent at the abandoned cabin outside town? a hunter and a vampire, sharing secrets under the stars.”
jeremy's gaze softened, a flicker of reminiscence crossing his eyes. “yeah, i remember. and i remember the sunrise, too.”
your tone grew sharper, masking the ache that had surfaced. “right, when i had to rush you back before your skin sizzled like bacon.”
he chuckled, though there was a hint of regret in his expression. “you're still as charming as ever.”
the silence that followed was heavy, the unspoken words swirling in the air like a storm waiting to break. you both knew the truth—the affair had been passionate, forbidden, and ultimately fleeting. but the ghosts of those stolen moments lingered, casting a shadow over your current dynamic.
with a brittle smile, you leaned back in your seat, pushing the memories away. “well, gilbert, let's focus on the task at hand. i'm sure we have a lot of insults to trade before this night is over.” jeremy's gaze held a mixture of resignation and longing. “of course, because that's what we're best at, right?”
as the evening wore on, you and Jeremy continued your verbal sparring, the familiar dance of insults and snarky remarks masking the deeper undercurrent of history and emotions that neither of you were quite ready to confront.
the culmination of your uneasy alliance took place at a lavish masquerade ball held at a grand mansion on the outskirts of mystic falls. the chandeliers bathed the ballroom in a warm, golden glow as elegantly dressed guests mingled beneath the masks that concealed their identities. among the masked figures, you and jeremy moved with calculated grace, each step laden with purpose.
in a corner of the ballroom, damon exchanged a knowing glance with you, a subtle nod indicating that katherine was near. jeremy leaned in, his voice low and laden with mockery. “ready to put on a show, bloodsucker?”
you shot him a withering look. “don't get too comfortable, gilbert. we're here to work, not to indulge your misplaced sense of revenge.”
jeremy's lips curved into a sly smile. “oh, don't worry. i'm just here to enjoy the company of a beautiful vampire while leading katherine on a wild goose chase.”
you rolled your eyes, but your own mask concealed a mischievous grin. “by all means, go ahead. it's not every day a vampire hunter gets to flirt with his worst nightmare.”
as the night wore on, the music swelled, and the tension in the air grew palpable. jeremy's gaze followed katherine, his charm turned on full force as he engaged her in a dance that seemed to double as a dangerous game.
not one to be outdone, you found yourself in conversation with damon, your playful banter taking on a seductive edge that wasn't entirely feigned. the mask of enmity seemed to fade as you allowed yourself to lean into the role.
later, as the ball continued to swirl around you, you slipped away onto a moonlit balcony, the cool night air a welcome contrast to the heated atmosphere inside. unbeknownst to you, jeremy followed, his steps soundless as he approached from behind.
he was only inches away from you as hjs fingertips grazed your collarbone, a shiver running down your spine as his breath tickled your ear. “damon seems to know your soft spots quite well. does he know you enjoy being touched here?”
you turned to face him, your gaze locking with his, an unspoken understanding passing between you. “doesn't he also know you're playing with fire, jeremy? leading katherine on, just to get back at me?”
his lips were dangerously close to yours, his voice a low murmur. “it's just strategy, remember? and you, enjoying damon's attention a bit too much, isn't that also a part of your plan?”
the world seemed to narrow to the two of you, the tensions of the past and the present converging in this intimate moment. a spark of something unspoken flickered in your eyes, a vulnerability you both were too proud to admit to.
with a brittle smile, you stepped back, creating distance between you. “we're here for a reason, little gilbert. let's not forget that.”
his gaze held a mix of frustration and longing. “right, because we wouldn't want to ruin our perfect track record of despising each other.”
as the masquerade ball continued inside, you and jeremy exchanged one last loaded look before retreating back into the throngs of guests. the dance of deception and attraction continued, the mask of enmity held firmly in place, concealing the truths that neither of you were ready to confront.
amid the revelry of the masquerade ball, tensions simmered just beneath the surface, ready to explode. as the night progressed, whispers spread through the crowd, drawing attention to a heated confrontation unfolding at the center of the ballroom.
jeremy stood, his expression a mix of defiance and unease, facing a room filled with curious gazes. damon's smirk danced on his lips, and you fixed your gaze on jeremy, your eyes narrowing as the truth slowly unraveled. stefan's voice cut through the hushed murmurs. “what's going on here?”
damon leaned back casually against a pillar, his tone dripping with amusement. "it seems our dear jeremy here had a little rendezvous with the lady of the hour, katherine," he paused. “was she a good fuck, gilbert?”
gasps rippled through the crowd, mingling with whispered accusations and incredulous glances.
your voice was sharp as a blade. “you've got to be kidding me, gilbert.”
jeremy's jaw clenched, his fists balling at his sides. “it was part of the plan, okay? she wasn't supposed to—”
stefan's patience was wearing thin. “you slept with the enemy to gain her trust? are you out of your mind?” as the crowd's murmurs grew louder, damon leaned in, a sinister smile playing on his lips. “seems like our little hunter's tactics might have backfired.”
you scoffed, your voice laced with scorn. “congratulations, gilbert. you managed to endanger the mission and prove just how foolish you can be.”
frustration radiated off jeremy in waves. “it was a risk we had to take. she was onto us, and this was the only way to keep her off our scent.”
as the arguments escalated, the tension reached a fever pitch. eventually, the crowd began to disperse, leaving only you and jeremy in the center of the now-empty ballroom. his gaze found yours, his voice low and resolute. “i didn't do it to hurt you.” you met his gaze, your expression unreadable. “well, congratulations, gilbert. thank you for your sympathy.”
he clenched his fists at his sides, his frustration palpable. “you think this was easy for me? i had to watch you flirt with damon all night. do you know how much that ate at me?”
you crossed your arms, your tone tinged with bitterness. “oh, poor jeremy. did i bruise your ego?”
his voice grew more desperate. “you know that's not what this is about. i had no intention of hurting you.”
you held his gaze, your eyes flashing with a mix of anger and something else. “and i had no intention of hurting you either. if i wanted to hurt you, i would've told you that I slept with damon, too.”
a flicker of shock crossed jremy's features, his anger flaring anew. the unspoken truths hung heavy in the air—the cat and mouse game that had defined your relationship was reaching a new level of intensity.
with a frustrated growl, jeremy turned on his heel and stormed out of the ballroom, leaving you standing there, the echoes of your words reverberating in the empty space. as the dust settled, the tangled web of emotions and motivations seemed to tighten around you all, the lines between enemies, allies, and something else entirely growing increasingly blurred.
in the days following the masquerade ball, the tension among the group remained thick, yet the mission to take down katherine couldn't wait. as preparations for the future confrontation began, you found yourself in your room at the salvatore boarding house, surrounded by the flickering light of candles. the soft glow of the flames danced upon your face as you meticulously got ready for the night ahead.
the scent of vanilla and musk filled the air as you sprayed a delicate mist of perfume onto your skin. with a wry smile playing on your lips, you assessed your reflection in the mirror, your eyes catching the dress and the necklace that lay on the vanity.
a knock on the door pulled you from your thoughts, and you turned to see jeremy standing in the doorway, his expression a mix of wariness and curiosity.
“what is it, gilbert?” you asked, your tone teasing.
he cleared his throat, stepping inside the room. “stefan said you needed help with something.”
with a subtle tilt of your head, you turned around, holding out the delicate necklace. “could you help me put this on? I'm afraid my fingers aren't as nimble as they used to be.”
jeremy's eyes flickered to the necklace, his adam's apple bobbing as he swallowed. he stepped closer, his fingers hesitating for a moment before he reached out to take the necklace from your hand. the weight of his gaze seemed to linger on your neck, the pulse point that had always captivated his attention.
as he carefully fastened the necklace around your neck, his fingers brushed against your skin, sending a shiver down your spine. his breath was warm against your ear as he whispered, “you smell nice.”
a sly smile curved your lips. “do i, now? would you like to take a closer whiff?”
before he could respond, you turned around, your fingers gently gripping his chin as you leaned in. your lips brushed his earlobe, and you whispered, “be careful, jeremy. remember why we're here tonight.”
his eyes widened, a mixture of surprise and longing dancing in his gaze. “where are you going, anyway?”
you pulled away, your lips curving into a knowing smile. “oh, just out for a little date. but don't worry, i'm sure you'll manage just fine without me.”
his brows furrowed in confusion. “a date? with who?”
you took a step back, your gaze locking with his, your tone dripping with satisfaction. “with damon, who else?”
the realization hit him like a freight train, and his jaw clenched as he took a step back, his expression a mixture of anger and hurt. “you're going on a date with damon?”
your smile remained unyielding. “yes, jeremy. it seems he's more attentive these days.”
with that, you turned and left the room, leaving jeremy standing there, his emotions in turmoil. the cat and mouse game had indeed escalated, the stakes higher than ever before. as the night unfolded, the tension between you and jeremy would continue to simmer, threatening to boil over into something neither of you could control.
the moon hung high in the sky as you returned to the salvatore boarding house, the echoes of the night's events lingering in your mind. the air was thick with tension as you stepped into the dimly lit foyer, your eyes locking onto jeremy's figure standing by the staircase. he turned to face you, his expression a mixture of curiosity and something that looked uncomfortably close to jealousy. “how was your date?”
you smiled, your lips curving into a knowing grin. “oh, it was absolutely magical. damon knows all the right moves, let me tell you.”
jeremy's jaw tightened, his voice laced with a feigned nonchalance. “really? do tell.”
your tone was light and teasing as you described an evening that was a far cry from the reality, weaving a tale of charm and flirtation, all centered around damon's supposed irresistible qualities.
“of course, I couldn't resist his eyes or his impeccable manners,” you continued, your eyes glinting with mischief. “and when he brushed his fingers against my thigh, i swear i felt a shiver down my spine."”
jeremy's fists clenched at his sides, his knuckles turning white as he struggled to keep his composure. “sounds like quite the night.”
you nodded, your smile still in place as you turned to head up the stairs. “yes, i thought so too. now, if you'll excuse me, i need to change into something more comfortable.”
with that, you began to unbutton your dress, your movements deliberately slow and deliberate, fully aware of jeremy's gaze on you. as the fabric pooled at your feet, you turned to face him, revealing your lingerie beneath.
jeremy's jaw tightened further, his voice strained. “what are you doing?”
you tilted your head to the side, your tone sweetly innocent. “oh, just getting ready for bed. would you like to help me unzip this?”
before he could respond, you turned and walked towards the bedroom, your hips swaying in a way that was almost taunting. you heard him exhale sharply, his frustration palpable.
as you entered the room, jeremy's voice followed you, his tone tinged with annoyance. “you're impossible.”
the air between you and jeremy was thick with unresolved tension as he lingered in the bedroom, having agreed to help you with your stockings. your legs were crossed, and you leaned against the dresser, your gaze meeting his in the mirror's reflection.
“i can't believe I'm doing this,” jeremy muttered under his breath as he tugged the first stocking up your leg.
you arched an eyebrow, your lips curling into a smug smile. “oh, come on, gilbert. it's just a pair of stockings. you're acting like i asked you to slay a dragon.”
he shot you a glare, his fingers working quickly but efficiently. “yeah, well, if i had to choose between dragons and you, i'd probably go with the dragons.”
you chuckled softly, your voice dripping with sarcasm. “you're such a charmer.
the second stocking followed suit, and jeremy's movements were swift and surprisingly adept. his touch was calculated, devoid of any lingering traces of intimacy. as he straightened, you caught his gaze in the mirror, a challenge passing between you.
“there you go, all dolled up. happy now?” he muttered, his tone bordering on annoyance.
you turned to face him, your lips quirking into a playful smile. “oh, ecstatic. you're really quite skilled at this, jeremy. who knew you had such a hidden talent?”
he rolled his eyes, his voice laced with exasperation. “yeah, well, don't expect me to add 'stocking stylist' to my resume anytime soon.”
your laughter filled the room, the sound of it dancing between you. “you really know how to keep a girl's dreams alive, don't you?”
jeremy's lips twitched into a begrudging half-smile. “oh, i do my best.”
the banter between you was a welcome respite from the heavier moments that had preceded it. as the tension eased, you found yourselves slipping into a more familiar rhythm, snarky remarks masking the undercurrent of something that had been brewing beneath the surface for far too long.
with a playful wink, you moved closer, your tone teasing. “well, gilbert, i'll give you credit where it's due. you're definitely good at handling my—delicate situation.”
he shot you a sideways glance, his cheeks tinged with a faint blush. “just remember, it's a one-time deal. don't get any ideas.”
you chuckled softly, your fingers grazing his arm as you moved past him. "of course not. wouldn't want to mess with your reputation as a ruthless vampire hunter."
jeremy's voice held a hint of warmth as he muttered, “yeah, well, just remember, i can handle myself.”
you shot him a sly smile over your shoulder as you left the room. “oh, i have no doubt about that, gilbert.”
the exchange left a lingering sense of camaraderie in its wake, a glimpse of the intricate dance that defined your relationship. the tension remained, but somehow it felt more manageable, less suffocating. as the night wore on, you couldn't help but wonder if this was the beginning of something new, something that had the potential to change the rules of the game.
in the midst of preparations for the final showdown with katherine, another meeting had been called at the salvatore boarding house. as the group gathered, tension seemed to hang in the air, though a palpable shift had occurred since the masquerade ball. the air felt charged, as if the dynamic between you and jeremy had been irreversibly altered.
damon, as always, leaned against a pillar with his signature smirk, and you couldn't resist the urge to indulge in a bit of shameless flirting. “well, well, if it isn't the dashing salvatore brothers. i must say, the view is quite enjoyable from here.”
damon's eyes danced with amusement. “flattery will get you everywhere, my dear.”
jeremy's jaw tightened, though he seemed to be doing his best to keep his emotions in check. the meeting proceeded, but the undercurrent of tension remained, a silent reminder of the cat and mouse game that had become a hallmark of your interactions.
as the conversation continued, damon's gaze seemed to linger on you, his voice taking on a sultrier tone. “i must say, you smell divine tonight. new perfume, perhaps?”
you met his gaze with a smoldering look of your own. “just something i picked up recently. i find it has a certain— allure.” damon's lips curled into a knowing smile. “ah, yes. an allure that's hard to resist.”
jeremy's fingers tightened around the edge of the table, his knuckles turning white as he struggled to maintain his composure.
damon's gaze shifted to him, and a wicked smile played on his lips. “you know, gilbert, i've been meaning to ask. what's the name of that perfume?”
jeremy's gaze met damon's, a mix of anger and disbelief in his eyes. “it's none of your business.”
damon's grin only grew wider, his voice dripping with mischief. “ah, but i'm only curious. i believe you mentioned it was something with vanilla and musk?”
before jeremy could respond, damon closed the distance between you, his fingers brushing against the spot on your collarbone where jeremy had placed his kisses. a playful glint danced in his eyes as he leaned in to place a featherlight kiss on your skin.
jeremy's fists clenched at his sides, his voice tight with anger. “that's enough, damon.”
damon straightened, his smirk still in place. “ah, yes. jealousy really isn't a good look on you, is it?”
the room was thick with tension as you and jeremy exchanged a charged look. without a word, he stood abruptly, his eyes locked onto yours as he made his way to the door. you followed him with a purposeful stride, the unspoken understanding between you driving you forward.
as the door to the next room closed behind you, jeremy's anger seemed to finally boil over, and he pinned you against the wall, his lips crashing onto yours in a fierce, hungry kiss. the weight of the tension, the longing, the game you had both been playing—it all came crashing together in that moment.
your fingers tangled in his hair, your lips moving against his in a fierce dance of passion and desire. the intensity of it all seemed to consume you both, a release of pent-up emotions that had been building for far too long.
as you pulled away, breathless and flushed, you met jeremy's gaze, the lines of enmity and attraction blurred beyond recognition. and in that electrifying moment, you both knew that the cat and mouse game had transformed into something far more dangerous, far more real.
the room was dark, illuminated only by the soft light of the moon streaming through the window. jeremy lay on his bed, his head resting on his arm as he watched you walk closer. you felt the heat radiating off of him, and it sent a shiver of anticipation down your spine.
he reached out and grabbed your hand, pulling you to him until you were lying beside him. his lips met yours in a deep, passionate kiss, and you felt your heart flutter as his hands roamed your body.
“you're mine,” he murmured against your lips, and you smiled in agreement.
you moved your hands up his chest, exploring his body as he continued to kiss you. his touch was possessive, and you loved the feeling of him claiming you as his own. he ran his hands over your body, caressing and teasing, and you felt yourself growing more aroused with each passing moment.
jeremy rolled over so that he was on top of you, and you felt his hardness pressed against your thigh. his lips moved to your neck, and you felt his tongue trace a path of fire down to your chest. his hands moved to your hips, and he gently pushed you onto your back.
he continued to kiss you hungrily, his hands exploring every inch of your body. his kisses were heated and possessive, and you could feel the intensity building inside of you. you wanted him even more, and you begged him to take you.
“say it,” he growled, his voice low and demanding.
“i'm yours,” you whispered, and he smiled in satisfaction.
he positioned himself between your legs and you felt the heat of his arousal against your inner thigh. you cried out in pleasure as he entered you, and you wrapped your arms around him tightly as he began to move.
he moved inside of you in a steady rhythm, and you felt yourself growing closer and closer to the edge of pleasure. you clung to him, and you could feel his breath on your skin as he whispered words of love and admiration in your ear. he loved the way you screamed his name, knowing damon could hear everything. it only encouraged him to continue pounding into your cunt, filling you with aggressive thrusts.
finally, you both reached the pinnacle of pleasure, and you cried out his name as you reached orgasm. he collapsed beside you, his chest heaving with exertion, and you both lay there in silence for a few moments. he pulled you close to him, and you felt his arms wrap around you possessively.
“you're mine,” he said, and you smiled in agreement.
he had slept with the enemy, once again. only this time, he knew he wouldn't regret a thing.

JUST FIVE MORE MINUTES
(DAMONXWITCH!READER):
⚫️summary; You had know Damon & Stefan for over 100 years and have been secretly seeing Damon since he got back to Mystic Falls, You being there already with Stefan just made it easier for him to be near her & to enjoy himself with You. However, him letting his guard down to the only person that he’s ever truly loved? A bit dangerous.
⚠️warnings; smutty, implied smut, horny!Damon because why not, swearing, implied nakedness, blood, etc. 18+ ONLY!!
The sheet draped over your bare body as Damon drew shapes on your legs. You stirred in your sleep as the after effects of the long night prior came to light. Body sore in the best way possible, his touch so familiar yet still sent shocks through you.
“Damon. Mmm.” You hummed as he mimicked the noise that escaped you.
“Yes Princess?” His signature smirk crawled onto his face as his eyes found their way to yours. You laid there for a moment, taking in the perfectly chiseled features he had been blessed with until a knock interrupted you both. Stefan.
“Hey Y/n! Time to go if you wanna make first period!” He shouted as he made his way back to his room down the hall.
“Got it! Thanks! Shit shit shit. I missed my alarm. I gotta go.” You pulled the sheet to cover yourself as you frantically searched for anything to wear. But, little to your dismay your body was suddenly under Damons once again, air knocked out of your lungs as he kissed your so softly yet with such hunger.
“Da- Hey! I have to go! You heard him i’m gonna miss first period if I don’t hurry.” You struggled to get out as Damon planted kisses down your neck and chest.
“Just five more minutes baby, please. You know I hate begging.” He mumbled against your skin. Your hands found their way into his raven locks as he found his way down your torso.
“Okay enough! I seriously have to go now and if we just end up fucking again, i’ll never leave this bed.” You said a bit harshly. He leaned back holding his head above yours.
“Fucking? You do know I don’t just
fuck you right, Y/n?” He sounded somewhat offended in a sense & you sat up to face him.
“Well isn’t that what we do? Just a couple of friends who have been friends with benefits for over a hundred years?” He scoffed getting up to grab a blood bag from the mini fridge in your room. You had conveniently put it there for him specifically. He sighed as he finished and turned to you. A bit of blood still on his chin.
“Damon? Are you okay?” You already knew the answer but never expected for his response to end the way it did.
“Let’s see Y/n. The girl I have been in love with for over a hundred years thinks I only fuck her for fun and doesn’t notice that I give myself to her entirely. So no, I am not okay.” He sits on the edge of the bed, head hanging low as he somewhat regrets the erratic confession he had just made.
“The girl you’re in love with huh? Well. Does the guy i’m in love with know that there’s no one else i’ve ever laid with and let touch me the way he does? Does he not notice the ways I have even made it easier for him to stay longer? The bite marks on my body from him that I adore every time I look in the mirror the morning after?” Silence fell as he was now sitting up straight, head filling with thoughts he had never had.
“Does he know how passionately I love him while he lays between my legs with his head in my chest? Or how a fire builds when his fingers dance on my skin? How about this. When I lay here and pray to every god out there that he whispers that he loves me back so I can finally call him mine?” He turns to you and goes to say something but before he can, you connect your lips to his.
“I do. Mmm. Of course I love you. God!” He says between breaths. Lips melting into one another as you lay back into the huge comforter.
“Skip class for me? Stay with me longer, I don’t want this to end.” He begged you as he laid on your bare chest. Your hands finding his only to have him interlock your fingers.
“How could I say no to you after what just happened? Of course i’m staying Damon. Forever.” You said as he smiled back up at you, lifting you up into his lap earning a fit of giggles from you. Safe to say you never made it to school and Stefan had a hell of a time learning the news when he got home.

summary: Stefan flipped his switch and you and Damon have been trying your hardest to bring him home... but Stefan has other ideas.
word count: 1.9k
warnings: typical tvdu stuff (blood, fear, pain, etc)
Tumblr media
“Goodnight, Linda! I’ll see you next week,” you called out as you pushed the door to the boutique open, letting it shut behind you as you crossed the street to find your car. Your mind was swimming with unanswered questions, things in Mystic Falls had been topsy-turvy since Stefan flipped his switch and skipped town with Klaus. You and Damon had been hunting down every lead while keeping it from Elena, encouraging her to move on while the two of you ignored your own hypocrisy as you refused to do the same. On top of every dead end or trip down south to cover up the carnage Stefan left in his wake there was something brewing just beneath the surface with Damon the two of you were refusing to acknowledge. It wasn’t the time, there was too much on your plates but it didn’t stop the tension that seeped into every late night you spent with him poring over files Sheriff Forbes had given you.
You unlocked your car as it came into view, listening to the chirps echo down the empty street but stopped in your tracks when a figure appeared before you, “Stefan?” you asked, hope filling your voice but it faded just as soon as it had appeared when you looked into his eyes… so cold and dark, unlike the ones you’d come to know. “Where have you been? We’ve been looking for you.”
“I know,” he answered, “I’m here to tell you to stop.”
“Come on, Stefan… let us help you, I can help you,” you pleaded and he just chuckled darkly. He was someone you used to trust implicitly, he’d saved you from sudden death time and time again, taken you in and given you a home when Klaus had killed your parents to prove a point but this was not the Stefan you knew.
“You can help me, sweetheart,” he said, fingers trailing along your collarbone and you felt sick to your stomach at his touch. “God, have I been dying to know what you taste like,” he muttered mostly to himself. You thought about running, but it was pointless… you thought about screaming for help, but he’d just kill whoever showed up… Damon. Damon was at the grill, just a handful of yards away. “So many nights hearing that heartbeat just down the hallway, like a siren call. How stupid was I to resist?” he asked rhetorically and while his attention was focused on the pulsing of your neck you slowly pulled your phone from your back pocket, dialing Damon’s number and praying to whatever god was listening that you didn’t hit the wrong buttons.
“So, what’s the plan, Stefan? Just going to kill me right here in front of the grill?” you asked, voice wavering as you tried to stall him. “Who are you trying to send a message to? Damon? Elena?” He growled in response.
“Maybe the message is for you,” he said, hand closing around your throat. “Did you think I wouldn’t know you’ve been helping him? That it wasn’t you who’s been covering my tracks?” he asked but you couldn’t answer. His hand disappeared and you sucked in a breath only to let out a cry of pain as he gripped your wrist, pulling your phone into view before he pried it out and you felt your bones crack under the pressure as he tossed it aside. “Stupid girl, are you trying to make this easier on me?”
“So this is hard for you?” you asked, clinging onto that as you took a step back and tried to ignore the pain in your wrist. “Good, lean into it. You don’t want to kill me, even with your humanity off you can’t tell me you don’t miss the fun we used to have together… dancing with Lexi to Bon Jovi, crushing Elena and Jeremy at pool…” you trailed off, trying to spark something in him. “Just, come home, Stefan. Let me help you, everything can go back to how it was.”
“Yes, I really do, because the real fun is what I’ve been denying myself all this time.” he sneered and you felt a gush of wind behind you.
“Whoa brother, just take it easy,” you heard Damon say and suddenly you were flipped around with your back pressed against Stefan, his arm a vice grip around your waist as his other hand held onto your throat.
“You really should have stopped looking for me,” Stefan growled as you squirmed in his grasp, pain radiating through your arm as you struggled for air. “I don’t want to be found.”
“Yet you came all this way to Mystic Falls, to the middle of the town square. That doesn’t scream don’t find me,” Damon pointed out, taking a step closer but he stopped in his tracks when you let out a cry as the grip around you tightened. Damon could hear your heart thudding against your ribcage, quick and uneven as your eyes pleaded with him to do something.
“Had to deliver a message,” Stefan responded. “But now that I’m here, she is a lot of fun, isn’t she, brother? Always was so brave, even in the face of death,” he chuckled as he brushed your hair from your neck. “You can’t tell me you haven’t thought about it,” he taunted.
“Just let her go, we can talk this out… come to an understanding,” Damon said, slowly taking another step. He’d never felt so helpless, like control was slipping through his fingers like sand.
“Oh, I’m not in the mood for talking,” he replied and you felt his lips kiss along your carotid artery and you stiffened in his grasp before thrashing against him. “So responsive,” he chuckled and anger flared in Damon’s chest at the sight. “Come on, Damon… all this time you’ve been pushing me to have more fun, now you want to stop me?”
“You want real fun? You’re not going to find it here in Mystic Falls,” he said, gesturing to the empty town around him. “Let’s go on a good old fashioned brotherly road trip, find some girls that actually enjoy being fed on,” he said, and you didn’t miss the desperation in his voice as you tried to calm your breathing and focus on anything other than the ache throbbing in your wrist. Stefan wasn’t swayed and you let out a pained cry as his fangs sunk into your neck, opening you up as he drank you in and you struggled in his arms.
“Stefan- don’t,” you choked out, fighting against him. Your words came out strained as blood poured from your neck and you felt tears slipping down your cheeks. “Elena will… she’ll never forgive you.”
“She’s right, brother. Just let her go, we can make this all go away,” Damon pleaded and he knew you didn’t have much time before he ripped your head off. You were already starting to go limp in his arms and Damon’s eyes were apologetic as he looked at you but you didn’t have enough time to process what it meant before you were flying through the air and hitting the ground with a thud that winded you. You groaned as you lifted your arms to press against the wound in your neck, each nerve ending protesting with a fiery jolt of pain as you tried to control the bleeding.
You couldn’t see anything, couldn’t move… all you could hear was a crack in the distance as your eyes fluttered closed before you felt your body being tugged upright. “Come on, drink…” Damon said, shaking you softly and when you didn’t respond he shook you harder. “You don’t get to do this, damn it! Drink,” he said again and your eyes opened as you wrapped your lips around his wrist, letting the sickly sweet liquid slide down your throat. You were alone again, vaguely making out Damon on the phone with somebody before you lost consciousness.
“Hey, hey, easy, you’re safe now,” you heard as you sat up in bed, startled as your eyes darted around and you saw you were back in your room at the boarding house. Damon was looking down at you intensely as tried to ease you into laying back down but you just shook your head.
“Where is he?” you asked frantically, “please tell me we didn’t lose him.”
“He’s in the cellar,” he answered. You let yourself relax a little at this, knowing the hope you’d been clinging to all summer seemed a little more realistic now. “I’m so sorry,” he whispered and your face twisted in confusion. “This is all my fault.”
“What? Damon, this isn’t your fault,” you tried but he just shook his head.
“He knew the way to get to me was through you, I shouldn’t… he didn’t want to be found, I shouldn’t have pushed,” he said and your eyes softened as you took him in. He looked exhausted and the faint light peeking around your curtains let you know he must have been waiting a while for you to wake up.
“He knew I was helping you, this was as much a message for you as it was for me,” you replied. “I’ll be okay.”
“But you’re not right now,” he said and you smiled sadly.
“But I will be,” you reassured, “nobody said bringing a ripper back from the depths of inhumanity would be easy.”
“I’m so sorry,” he repeated and you just wrapped your arms around him, letting yourself move to straddle his hips to pull him closer into you. “You don’t deserve this, I… I should have protected you better. I can’t lose you,” he muttered into your chest as his arms snaked around your waist and held you tight.
“I’m not going anywhere,” you said and he pulled back to look up at you, eyes swimming with emotion.
“You… you mean too much to me,” he said, fingers brushing your hair behind your ear before cupping your jaw. “I can’t lose you,” he repeated.
“And you won’t,” you promised, eyes sad as you knew this wasn’t really a promise you could keep, but you would try… for him. You let your fingers thread through his hair as you held him close, needing the comfort right now as much as he did. Putting on a brave face was what you were good at, you seemed to face a new evil every week in this town but this was different… This was Stefan, one of your closest friends who used you to prove a point, who made it look so easy to bring you within an inch of your life. You needed Damon as much as he needed you and with someone downstairs locked in a cell who was so important to the both of you, you didn’t have any fight left in you to pretend you didn’t need him.
“I love you,” he muttered against your skin and your heart skipped a beat, wondering if you’d heard him correctly. “I won’t let him hurt you ever again, I’m so sorry.” You shifted, leaning back to look down at him and those intense blue eyes held so much emotion you felt your heart crack wide open.
“Damon-” you started but he cut you off by cupping your face and pulling you down to meet his lips. You responded immediately, letting your lips move in tandem with his before pulling back breathless.
“I love you,” he repeated as you rested your forehead against his.
“I love you too,” you responded, letting yourself smile genuinely for the first time all summer. “We’re going to get your brother back, okay? We’ll get him back and everything will be okay.”

You Call That Love? (Damon Salvatore x Male Reader)
Because I don't see many Damon Salvatore x male reader posts, I decided to write one myself. You can't convince me that Damon hasn't had male lovers before.
Summary: Elena tries to get with Damon but soon realizes he has moved on—with m/n of all people.
Tumblr media
Their lips moved in a frenzied dance, hands tearing at each other's clothes in a passionate embrace when the gasp of a familiar, bothersome human interrupted their intense makeout session. Looking up at Elena with an annoyed expression, m/n rolled his eyes before sitting upright, allowing Damon to hastily put his shirt back on. It wasn't for Elena's sake, because, frankly, he couldn't care less about her feelings, but M/n was a fiercely jealous man. He wouldn't give Elena even a glimpse of what was solely his.
"Why?" she whispered pathetically, her brown eyes tearing up while looking at Damon as if he had just killed her parents. "I thought we had something—"
Unable to contain his laughter, m/n released a hearty chuckle. "Why, Miss Elena?" he mocked "I distinctly remember you bragging about your relationship with Stefan not even a week ago. What happened? Trouble in paradise?" Feeling Damon's arms wrap around his middle, m/n cuddled against Damon's front, allowing the vampire to take what he needed.
M/n wasn't naive to the fact that Damon still harbored some feelings for Elena, although the nature of said feelings had changed. So, just for him, m/n would step back and allow things to run their course.
"You don't know anything," Elena hissed, her eyes narrowing at m/n with utter hatred. Ever since he stepped foot into Mystic Falls, her life changed for the worse: Bonnie and Caroline finally stood their ground and told Elena they didn't want to be involved in her problems. Recently, Stefan and she broke up; Stefan, noticing the eerie similarities between Katherine and Elena as of late, decided to break the cycle and began dating Caroline. But, worst of all, when Elena finally (or rather knew she had no other option) admitted she loved Damon, the vampire disregarded her confession, telling her he'd moved on—with m/n of all people.
"Elena," Damon's stern tone caused the girl to break eye contact and look expectantly at the vampire. A part of her still hoped Damon would realize the mistake he was making, but as the vampire continued talking, hope vanished. "I don't love you. M/n made me realize that what we had was toxic and borderline obsessive. Being with Stefan, then me, Matt—that isn't love."
"Don't try to tell me how I feel," Elena exclaimed. "I'm sorry it took me such a long time to realize my feelings, but you can't tell me what I feel for you isn't valid." Feeling bold, Elena stepped forward, about to touch Damon and reel him back into her web of manipulation, when m/n had enough and pinned the human to the wall, his hand on her throat. Uncaring if she could breathe, m/n felt this was sufficient punishment for Elena, thinking she could touch what was his.
Elena gasped for breath as m/n's grip tightened, her eyes widening with fear. M/n's voice sliced through the air like a blade, each word carrying the weight of resentment.
"You thought you could have it all, didn't you?" he sneered, his cold e/c eyes piercing into hers. "Stefan, Damon, and whoever else caught your fleeting attention. You don't care about anyone other than yourself. Where was this love when Damon was begging you to choose him? Your exact words were nobody could love a monster like you. And now you want to rewrite history? He's with me now, and I suggest you come to terms with that."
With a final, disdainful glance, m/n released his grip on Elena's throat. "You're twisting everything!" she exclaimed after regaining composure, her voice strained. "You don't know the whole story. What Damon and I have is real."
As Elena struggled to defend herself, Damon's expression shifted with each word she uttered. At first, her claim to have loved him drew a flicker of skepticism in his eyes. However, as she delved into the reasons for denying his love, a mix of hurt and anger played across his features. "I loved him, but he was too caught up in his own darkness to see it."
Damon's jaw tightened, and his eyes flashed with a wounded expression. It was as if her words had scraped at an old wound, reawakening the pain of rejection. "People change, m/n. Damon could have changed for me." The pair of vampires now stared in disbelief. How had Elena managed to turn herself into a victim in this situation?
"Change? Is that what you call it?" Damon's retort cut through the air like a cold gust of wind, his voice edged with bitterness. His eyes, once clouded with hurt, now blazed with a fiery resolve. "You left, Elena. You chose someone else. You choose Stefan." M/n, standing beside Damon, could sense the raw emotion emanating from the vampire, a poignant mixture of anger and hurt.
"M/n accepted me for who I am," Damon continued, his voice steady and absolute. "He didn't demand that I change, mold myself into someone more palatable to fit your version of love. You can't rewrite history just because you don't like the ending."
Frustration etched across Elena's face. "Fine, have it your way," she spat, casting one last resentful glance at Damon and m/n before storming out of the house, the door slamming shut behind her. Even as the sound of Elena's car drew farther away from the boarding house, Damon's eyes lingered on the closed door.
M/n turned to Damon, his gaze softening as he assessed his lover beside him. "You okay?" he asked, his voice gentle yet filled with genuine concern.
Damon's eyes, focused on the closed door, shifted to m/n. The heaviness that lingered in his eyes was replaced by an unspoken acceptance that this chapter of his life had closed. "Yeah," he replied, "Thanks for handling that."
M/n nodded, his expression conveying understanding. "You know I've got your back, always." Damon's eyes softened, a subtle warmth replacing the tension that had gripped him moments before. He didn't need grand gestures or elaborate confessions; the simplicity of m/n's words told him everything he needed to know.
"I love you."
"I love you too."

1920s LOVE | KLAUS MIKAELSON
masterlist : part 2
Tumblr media
summary: your cousins, the salvatore brothers, tell you to go straight home after school. an evil vampire has come to town and it’s too dangerous; so what happens when the original vampire appears in your house unannounced
pairing: fem! reader x klaus mikaelson
words: 1.9k
a/n: my first tvd imagine for literally the man i love the most. this fic has similarities to @frost-queen ‘s work as i requested the imagine to her before i started writing but i wanted to write it myself. so before you come at me she already knows as i asked her first!! :)
Tumblr media
‘After that we miss our chance to make memories.’ You chimed with Bonnie and Elena, all of you smiling as the cool breeze filtered through your hair.
‘Caroline, I’m not that type of person and you know that!’ A giggle escaped your lips, your hands reaching for hers. ‘Besides, I promised Stefan that I’d go straight home after school.’
‘What even is he to you?’ Caroline pulled her most Caroline face ever.
‘Well he feels like my cousin, but technically he’s probably my great x1000 cousin or something. All I know is that I’m a Salvatore and that connects us.’
Caroline pondered for a moment, letting go of your hands and bracing herself. ‘Fine.’
You let out a breath.
‘But,’
You sighed.
‘You have to actually show up to the dance and not just for five minutes before disappearing with Jeremy to never be seen again.’
‘Fine.’ You threw your hands up in the air and walked away from the group. ‘I can’t wait Caroline! I’m going to have so much fun.’ You made fun of yourself, earning chuckles from the girls before they parted ways too.
Stefan, even though your cousin from hundreds of generations ago, acted like your big brother despite being your age (one could argue about that). Stefan and Damon felt more like brothers and that’s what you always referred to them as. Since you started living at the Boarding house and got told the type of lifestyle the brothers lived, they always made sure you were safe. You were truly grateful for that. Having someone actually care about your well-being and not just yell at you to bring food to the table even though you were only nine years old…it was family. But Stefan and Damon could be pushy when it did come to your safety. Especially since that really old vampire came to town and terrorised Mystic Falls’ supernatural citizens. Since you were a human; a human that knew of vampires and was friends with them so they didn’t want to take any chances. So like any other girl with overprotective brothers, you had no other choice but to go home.
You took your time walking back. The sounds of leaves rustling on the pavement. Red-orangey leaves tumbling across the cement. Whistling of the winds as it bolted through the trees.
You felt at peace. Peace you had longed for for a long time.
Arriving at the enormous house , you unlocked the door and threw your school bag next to the shoe rack, slumping your way down the hall, but someone caught your eye.
‘And you are?’ You asked the man whose eyes were glued onto you as you walked down the steps that led to the living room.
‘You don’t know me, love?’ The stranger cocked his head with a sneaky grin on his face.
‘No, otherwise I wouldn’t ask, dumbass.’
The man chuckled, slowly standing up and stepping forwards, ‘I’m Klaus Mikaelson, I think you might’ve heard of me.’
‘That scary old hybrid?’ You gasped, mouth wide open with a weird expression of positive surprise; but you weren't afraid.
‘In the flesh.’ He lifted his arms to his side, palms facing upwards like he stood in front of a civilisation that ought him to be a god.
‘No offence but I thought Klaus was some creepy old man…you're surprisingly hot.’ You confessed, ignoring the fact that you never spoke so directly to a stranger. ‘Well, I don’t know why you're here and I don’t think I care. I made food before I went to school so it should be done by now, do you want some?’ You walked past him, mumbling quietly, knowing he could hear you, and entered the kitchen where your tart from this morning stood.
‘How do I know that you won’t kill me?’ Klaus replied.
‘Well first, I actually don’t know how to kill you,’ you lifted your thumb and started to count the reasons. ‘I would be extremely dumb to even try and I really just want to know if my food tastes good.’
‘So not all the Salvatores are as dumb as the brothers.’ He relaxed his weight into one of the kitchen stools and eyed you up and down, scanning for something.
‘Is that a compliment or are you badmouthing me with mirroring words?’
‘I take that back.’
‘Arsehole.’ You scoffed and walked around the kitchen aisle to grab a plate from one of the cupboards.
‘So what exactly am I looking at,’ Klaus eyes the ceramic pan that you had set out on the island moments before, ‘it looks nice.’
‘It’s a strawberry tart with a layer of condensed whipped cream and a layer of red bean,’ you started to plate the first portion, ‘and before you start with ‘Red bean? oh my god that’s sooooo weird’, it’s a sweet type. Very popular in east Asia. It’s really good.’ You smiled at him and pushed a fork towards him. ‘I could never make something not tasty because I’m a good chef.’
Klaus chuckled, the corner of his mouth turning into a slight smile, yet his eyes were just as cold. Grabbing the fork you had placed before him, he took a piece with equal amounts of ingredients and placed it in his mouth.
You eyed him for a long second. He wasn’t smiling, he wasn’t frowning. He wasn’t doing anything. Klaus’ face was blank as the test sheet you had given Mr. Saltzman this morning in first period.
‘So?,’ your eyes still on his face, ‘is it good?’ you leaned in closer, eyes narrowing with a smile. You clicked with your tongue, index finger pointing at the so-called monster in joy, ‘Of course it is!’
Instead of answering your question, Klaus simply took another hit confirming the good taste.
‘I knew it!’ You drummed against the kitchen aisle, ‘Miss Salvatore could never fuck up a dish.’ Amused, you finally gave yourself a piece and enjoyed your tart. ‘So,’ you covered your mouth with your hand, ‘you’re a 1000 year old vampire that everyone’s scared of…why?’
‘I guess it’s because I’m an Original,’ he leaned forward, close enough to smell your scent, ‘Can I have another?’ He eyed the pan.
You nodded.
‘An original vampire,’ you nodded your head cooly. ‘That’s cool. But what brings you here? I doubt you’re vacationing in Mystic Falls. Anyone willing to do that must be boring and have no expectations,’
Klaus snickered in response, his intimidating yet charming eyes felt like they were pushing past your eyes. ‘I need something.’ He confessed.
‘What?’
‘Can’t tell you.’
‘Why?’
‘Because you’ll tell your brothers.’ He ate the last piece of tart on his plate and leaned against the counter.
‘They’re more like my cousins,’ you grabbed his plate and set it in the skink, starting to clear things away. ‘Million times removed.’
‘You’re human?’ His tone changed but you couldn’t quite make it out. Did you suddenly fall into his power-play-game?
You hummed in response, turning back to him and sitting down on one of the barstools.
‘Do you like it?’ He asked, some sort of genuineness coating his words.
You hesitated for a second. No one had ever asked you before if you preferred the life you were living. Not even Damon asked you and he was the first to be in favour of turning humans for fun.
‘Sometimes I guess, but the thrill of wanting to be a vampire is overbearing at times.’ You took a sip of water, ‘Stefan and Damon said they’d only ever turn me if there was no other option.’ You took a long pause. ’I feel vulnerable as a human and a spark of confidence couldn’t hurt me, right?’
Klaus turned his head forward, chuckling. ‘I think you already have that spark of confidence you’re talking about, love.’
‘Can I ask you a question? Technically it’s two but,’
‘Go ahead, darling.’
Darling—…Stop.
‘Since you’re a thousand years old,’ you turned your body to him, ‘what’s your favourite decade or era you lived in? Like the Victorian era, Tudor age, all that…what’s your most favourite?’
Klaus lingered a smile, seeming almost smitten with your curiosity and sensing a passion for the past.
‘Maybe the 1920s,’ Klaus said, your eyes instantly lighting up. ‘The music, the people, the aura…it was a great time.’
‘I’m jealous,’ your face fell to a pout, swinging the last drop of water down your throat and reaching for the jug to refill your glass. ‘I wish I experienced the twenties,’
‘I think you would’ve loved the 1920s London party scene.’
‘And do you miss it? The past, I mean. Or do you prefer the modern world? I mean certain aspects are obviously for the better but it must be lonely when everything and everyone you knew ceased to exist…I think I’d become lonely.’
‘I have my family.’
‘But humans,’ you cleared your throat, ‘Vampires,’ you corrected yourself. ‘Nonetheless need different people around them. Otherwise we’d go mad.’
‘I’m already mad.’
‘I heard.’ You let out a suppressed laugh. ‘Well anyway, there’s a 1920s decade dance next week and I don’t know if I’ll go. Apparently Mystic Falls is becoming dangerous for humans and I should only go out if completely necessary.’ Shrugging your shoulders, you got up from your chair when the front door suddenly opened and in a matter of seconds Stefan and Danon were standing in the kitchen.
Damon immediately seized your upper arm with force, pulling you closer to him. He scanned your face, then your torso, arms, legs, to see if Klaus had hurt you or compelled you but he didn’t find a single scratch.
‘What?’ Klaus finally stood up and eyes the brothers up and down. ‘You think I’d harm such excellent company?’
‘What did you do?’ Stefan chimed him defensively.
You broke from Damon’s grib and walked to the other side of the kitchen aisle so that you were now between the men. ‘He didn’t do anything. We ate cake and talked. That’s it.’
Stefan eyed you for a while, but he could tell you weren’t lying and there was no reason for you to cover for him so he accepted the scene in front of him.
‘We have what you want, Klaus,’ Damon hissed, ‘but not here. Leave her out of this.’
Klaus turned his head to look at you. ‘Fine,’ now facing back at Damon. ‘but don’t fuck me over again or I will make this living hell for you.’
Stefan pushed forward, ‘We’ll talk outside.’
Klaus followed Damon, Stefan behind him and turned around one last time leaving you a tad puzzled, ‘It was nice to meet you, love.’
‘You too.’
Tumblr media
*1 week later*
Ding ding, Doorbell.
Ugh, you rolled off the couch and stomped towards the door.
‘Caroline I said I’m not going. I can’t be arsed and—oh my god.’ You swung the door open not to reveal the blonde girl that had been nagging at you all week.
Instead it was him. Klaus Mikaelson.
‘I— Ehm— What are you doing here?’
‘I’m here to take you to the 1920s, love.’
