I owe this game a lot. Without it, this blog wouldn't be here. Because of it, so many amazing projects have been made. It was a cultural moment and I wish to never forget it.

omg a portal double life au

basically, each soulmate pair gets either a blue or orange portal gun, and they need to get through the facility without dying (spoiler they all die)

martyn and pearl somehow climb their ways into the walls at the start. scar climbs behind one of the panels midway, and grian has to run after him. grian instead finds bigb and ren's testing rooms and starts watching (haha get it) them through the observation rooms

GLaDOS can't find cleo/scott's partners, so they put them together (with incompatible portal guns) to see how they would do, and they get through the facility purely via spite. pearl and martyn will push whatever objects they can find through their portals, both with the objective to kill scott. pearl also finds a random companion cube, which she insits on keeping with her

ranchers adopt a core they found lying around, but was forced to burn it in that one room. they die via turrets soon after. grian drops a cube on top of ren/big b, not realizing it would kill them. grian climbs into the testing chamber to mourn bigb, and GLaDOS just blows the room up because there were 3 ppl in a room. they also just fill the room scar is in with neurotoxins since he can't finish the rooms anymore. boat boys find an open panel and (that was pushed out by grian), but get crushed by GLaDOS fixing the wall panel when trying to get back to the normal testing rooms. pearl kills bdubs/impulse by dumping acid on them (idk man, the backrooms of aperture has some crazy stuff)

martyn pulls cleo through a portal right before they finish the last room to annoy them, and scott jumps in after her. they go find pearl who is in a room under the facility (cake/core room). pearl is definitely insane at this point and literally just kills the three of them with just her hands. then dies after eating the poisonous cake or just straight up neurotoxins

then everybody gets shoved into a cube. great ending :thumbsup:
