Blessed Are the Forgiven
A Maskil of David.
1 Blessed is the one whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered. 2 Blessed is the man against whom the Lord counts no iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no deceit.
3 For when I kept silent, my bones wasted away through my groaning all day long. 4 For day and night your hand was heavy upon me; my strength was dried up as by the heat of summer. Selah
5 I acknowledged my sin to you, and I did not cover my iniquity; I said, “I will confess my transgressions to the Lord,” and you forgave the iniquity of my sin. Selah
6 Therefore let everyone who is godly offer prayer to you at a time when you may be found; surely in the rush of great waters, they shall not reach him. 7 You are a hiding place for me; you preserve me from trouble; you surround me with shouts of deliverance. Selah
8 I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my eye upon you. 9 Be not like a horse or a mule, without understanding, which must be curbed with bit and bridle, or it will not stay near you.
10 Many are the sorrows of the wicked, but steadfast love surrounds the one who trusts in the Lord. 11 Be glad in the Lord, and rejoice, O righteous, and shout for joy, all you upright in heart! — Psalm 32 | English Standard Version (ESV) The Holy Bible, English Standard Version. ESV Student Study Bible Review
ESV Student Study Bible Review
Crossway sent me this awesome Student Study Bible to review. It comes in 14 different cover designs! I chose the Joshua Noom Artist cover because that is what appealed to my fifteen-year-old son. The hardcover versions are super pretty, but keep in mind they aren’t as durable as a leather cover (which isn’t available for this Bible) or even the TruTone covers. You’ll want to be a little more…

There is alot of really bad theology right now. NAR, Word of Faith and old heresies ( Like reinventing Modalism) are running rampant online that are being perpetuated by so called big-A apostles, prophets and people who claim to perform miracles.
If anyone, and I mean ANYONE, who claims to be an Apostle (specifically of Jesus Christ -- There are only 12.) or a prophet and teaches things that not only are not in the Bible but ask for a 'seed offering' or any kind of monetary gain or deviate from what has been written, they are to be called out as wolves and false teachers. They commit spiritual abuse against people who want to be free from pain and sin by exploiting them, selling them a false bags of goods and keeps telling them to come back again and again to get their 'deliverance from the demon of anxiety.'
These are the 'demon slayer' group, the guys who think that born again Christians can be possessed by demons. Are you flipping kidding me?! Can a demon be in the same vessel of the Holy Spirit who is God? Any well read Christian would know that according to Scripture, its utterly bogus.
Then when they have been taken advantaged of for so long and get out, some remain Christian by the grace of God and fall into the footsteps of true Christianity but most will remain in the hands of wolves. Being fleeced, lulled by what they want to hear, thinking that perhaps being a spiritual person is better then being a biblical person.
The doctrine we have in Scripture rightly tells us about God's Character, Promises, and our salvation outside of our experiences and emotions. Emotions and experiences are different and change, they are secondary to the Scriptures.
But what these NAR--New Apostolic Reformation--folks do is they twist doctrine in that God is now calling new Apostles and prophets to rule the Church. They lull people into their prophetic words and sayings, telling people what they want to hear. Using experience and emotion to get people hooked into their teachings.
I've seen a couple of people on here who post such teachers and this I tell you; run. Run far away from those wolves, they will only bring you to spiritual death and destruction. You posting those teachers can actively stumble others who were brought out of this movements.
Its doctrine like this that strays people away from a full filled Christian life, binding them and presenting a false version of Christianity to the world. Its doctrine like this that will produce rotten fruit.
Now I am not saying that miracles are not for today but it solely depends on God's will, not ourselves. We don't get to decide what gift God gives us and certainly if God has given these gifts, He would give them to whoever He so well pleases.
Find yourself a biblical church, committed to expository preaching. Ask God to get you to a biblical church with a equally biblical pastor. Look at resources like Ligonier Ministry (R.C Sproul) , Crossway, Pirate Christian Radio, The Messed Up Church, White Horse Inn and Founders Ministry.
If you are coming out of the NAR, I highly recommend Pirate Christian Radio (Fighting for the Faith on Youtube) and The Messed Up Church. I would highly recommend Dawn Hill , she came out of the NAR and has since repented of the things she had done in that movement. Lovely lady.
I implore you, and anyone else who is finding themselves falling into these churches. I pray that those wolves repent and turn.

Easter: Texts and Images
Form, layout, and illustrations all affect how the words of a text are experienced by a reader. In this children's version, it's as if the illustrations are supported by biblical text, rather than the other way around, making a striking visual impact.

Marriage in the Christian bible
First. Read Ephesians 5 as if some comedian was reading it. Like, let's say if it was John Mulaney in-between his jokes about "not being able to do jokes anymore" and "doing way too much cocaine."
How would that section sound?
5:20-21 says this: "giving thanks always and for everything to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, submitting to one another out of reverence for Christ."
And then the Christian analysis of this section let's link this crossway site as a reference
Starts *AFTER* that section to say that "Except that husbands don't need to submit to their wives. Only Wives to their husbands"
Is that because "wives" aren't considered to be part of the congregation? Husbands submit to each other, but wives only to their husbands?
Or does "submit" include something... considered immoral by your typical churchgoer?
Genesis says this: "What therefore God has joined together, let not man separate.”
I will amend that by saying that Christ reasoned the difference between God and Law. Just because the Law has married two people, doesn't mean God Has. (Christ routinely described the difference between Man's law and God's law, and taught that "Just because the law.says something should or should not be, even if it was taught by Moses and is written in the Bible itself, doesn't mean it's God's law."
If I could sum up all of Jesus' life and teachings, it would be that.
Hebrews 13:4: Let marriage be held in honor among all.
The rest of that passage is a bit wordy. But I interpret it as "Only God can and will judge the immoral. Only God can say what is or isn't Marriage. Not any Man."
Deuteronomy 22:28-29 treats marriage as a punishment for sexual immorality.
"You gotta raise that child right, you made it."
Therefore there are two types of marriages (maybe even three, or four). The first type is legal Marriage. In the eyes of the law, or in their case the congregation. The second and third are parts of that first, punishment to raise a child for sexual immorality, and the use marriage *only* to reproduce and create heirs. (There may even be an argument for another kind of "wife" that can be interpreted as a dependent, but not necessarily how we interpret 'wife' today. Except by Mormons.)
But neither of these are what is considered "the holiest" Marriage. Two people that are in fact joined by God, because there's no other explanation for it. That the Pope himself has no say or control over.
The kind of love between two people that cannot be interpreted as anything else, and how they chose to deal with that connection is their own business.
But the thing with that type of marriage... is that it can be interfered with by the human world. Laws, Religious or Otherwise, can tear apart what God may have joined.
I can see why parents, even religious ones, would be terrified of two people claiming that their love is sanctified, or God's will. Especially if it were their kids, and worried about manipulation and narcissism.
How would *you* be able to figure out which it was?

Why do you think god gave me a girl who was a virgin who was highly religious.... I was never supposed to be in the dating field again... Protecting me from all forms of diseases related to physical interaction during love making.... She would have never, ever cheated on me...... And likewise me to her... But the point of it protecting me from any contagious disease as much as possible..... But promoting the l g b t q to me is making me a great risk...... I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy.... I don't want them desecrating people.... It is not about them being my enemy meaning, meet one of them to have a great life.I don't want them hurting other people..... Though people don't understand when they say pray for your enemies. And that really? What jesus is talking about is protecting good people from them.... Hoping they move away from their evil pursuits.... 😈 So people misunderstand the Bible. You're not praying for all kinds of goodness upon them. You're hoping they move away from their evil pursuits. So they don't continue to hurt good people.... So by praying that serial killers repent you are praying for good people to no longer be hurt by them.... So you don't understand I keep on telling you, you have to look through to what would happen if these individuals changed..... 🤔 So this is what it talks about about praying for your enemies....
See, praying for those that persecute. You means that you're hoping they change. And that will endure persecution because if they truly repent. And that's what paul was trying teach and prayed for his enemies. And if they came to jesus he is pain and suffering would end..... So in the indirect way he was praying for himself.... Working through god to work through his enemies to change their hearts to make his life ultimately better...... They end up being better off too.Because there's no bottom to hell..... That's why when we execute people we pray for mercy on their soul... Why because we punished them and in turn.We would hope god would give them grace for the punishment we placed upon them.... So we're not telling God to have them.Escape punishment. We're asking God to be less. How do you say punishing less punishment because of our actions. So you're not understanding the bible correctly.... God is always protecting good people always protecting them. And if you step away from God, then you're vulnerable. You become one of them..... And that's the big point of Paul He was actually the worst enemy to gentiles.... Those coming to jesus and most of all his converts were genkyle's very few jews followed him only mostly the disciples..... Most everybody else was a non-jew. That's why he says he opened it up to jews and gentiles alike.... They treated them both fairly. He gave them both the option..... But who embraced it all of rome converted to christianity.....
“Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you” (Matt. 5:44). And “Pray for those who abuse you” (Luke 6:28). This is enormously important in telling us how Jesus thinks about what love is.Jul 27, 2023

How to Pray for Your Enemies | Crossway Articles
Jul 27, 2023 — Jesus gives numerous examples of the kinds of behaviors involved in loving our enemies. The first mentioned in the Sermon on the Mount after the command to love is prayer. “Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you” (Matt. 5:44). And “Pray for those who abuse you” (Luke 6:28). This is enormously important in telling us how Jesus thinks about what love is. First, it tells us that love really wants the good of the enemy. This is confirmed by the supplementary command, “Bless those who curse you” (Luke 6:28). To bless is to desire someone's well-being and turn it into an expressed longing directed to God.

Faith Forum: How should we deal with our enemies?
Oct 4, 2014 — ' But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you ..." (Matthew 5:39 and 5:43-44) Christians are called to love those who despise us and persecute us. To follow in Christ's footsteps is to walk in the way of love. The Apostle Peter made these observations about Jesus.

Why is the greater love not to lay down one's life for one's *enemies
Jun 3, 2015 — Jn 15:13: Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one's life for one's friends. Mt 5:44,46-47: But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, [..]
According to Crossway, these verses show that Jesus believes love should want the good of the enemy. Luke 6:28 also includes the command to bless those who curse you, which means to desire someone's well-being and express that longing to God.
Open the Bible says that praying for those who have hurt us is obedience to God's Word, and it's also an opportunity for God to work in our hearts and within other people.
According to World History Encyclopedia, Roman emperor Constantine I (Flavius Valerius Constantinus) converted to Christianity in 312 CE. Constantine is known as Constantine the Great for his conversion and his subsequent Christianization of the Roman Empire.

Constantine’s Conversion to Christianity - World History Encyclopedia
May 10, 2021
According to legend, Constantine experienced a vision at the Battle of Milvian Bridge in 312. Some sources say that on the evening of October 27, Constantine had a vision of a cross, which led him to fight under the protection of the Christian god.
Constantine's conversion was a turning point for Christianity. It gave Christianity a solid base in the Mediterranean and caused the political ascent of Christianity.
Constantine's conversion is almost universally acknowledged among historians, despite some claims that he was baptized only on his deathbed in 337. The real reasons behind his conversion remain unknown and are debated.
Constantine played an influential role in the proclamation of the Edict of Milan in 313, which declared tolerance for Christianity in the Roman Empire. He also convoked the First Council of Nicaea in 325 which produced the statement of Christian belief known as the Nicene Creed.

Jesus Makes Us Into His Followers
34 And calling the crowd to him with his disciples, he said to them, “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me. 35 For whoever would save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake and the gospel’s will save it. 36 For what does it profit a man to gain the whole world and forfeit his soul? 37 For what can a man give in return for his soul? 38 For whoever is ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation, of him will the Son of Man also be ashamed when he comes in the glory of his Father with the holy angels.” — Mark 8:34-38 | English Standard Version (ESV) The Holy Bible, English Standard Version.
