One Piece x Pokemon

Zoro: Sceptile, Roserade, Duoblade, Gallade, Snom, Corviknight

-Zoros first Pokémon is a Treeko, it was given to him as a Pokémon egg by his parents, but both Zoros parents passed before the egg hatched, the egg hatches into a treeko shortly before zoro finds the dojo, the two are each others rocks, they know everything about each other. Treeko is pretty reserved and has most of the same hangs up that zoro has. Treeko has Zoros sense of direction and they frequently get both together and separately, but even when they get lost they always manage to find their way back to each other like magnetic forces

-at 8 zoro joins the dojo and meets kuina and her bedew, when kuina falls down the stairs, zoro asks have the wado ichimunji and goes non verbal even to his own treeko and trains all day until he passes out, treeko watch’s zoro train all day and when the boy finally passes out from exhaustion treeko pulls a blanket around him and curls up on top of his chest keeping watch over him. A week after kuina’s death her bedew approaches the pair while they’re asleep, the bedew misses kuina and in her grief seeks out kuina closest friend, zoro wakes up the next morning to find the Pokémon nuzzled against his side, bedew looks at Zoro teary eyed, zoro and treeko nod to each other and ask bedew if she wants to join their duo, bedew accepts

-zoro only has two Pokémon when he first meets Luffy, both having since evolved into a grovyle and rosellia. Taking after zoro, grovyle uses “three leaf style” when he uses leaf blade he uses the leaves on his arms and the one of his head to attack.

-Rosellia is Zoros only female Pokémon and sanjis a little weird so he fawns over her like he would nami or robin. Rosellia /hates/ that sanji does this so she low key poisons him on the main (although sanji always recovers quickly and has built up tolerance over their travels) (and yes I did make rosellias gag with sanji the same as brocks crogunk and him for anyone who’s seen the show)

-zoro doesn’t meet his 3rd Pokémon until loguetown, when shopping for swords he grabs kitestu and the ghost Pokémon honedge comes souring out sensing Zoros powerful aura, it takes everyone by surprise tashigi and the shop owner warn zoro that honedge will steal peoples life force if given the chance. Never one to shy away from a challenge zoro throws kitestu in the air and grabs onto the Pokémon’s hilt to see who’s will would be stronger and if it was fate that the pokemon drained his life force today. Honedge tries to suck Zoros life energy but stops once the sword misses Zoros arm. The Pokémon seems impressed by zoro and joins him when zoro agrees to take the sword, honedge is typically attached to kitestus hilt

-honedge poses no threat to zoro or anyone else on the crew but it does like to scare Usopp and chopper by pretending it’s going to take their life force. Honedge also thinks robins morbid jokes are hysterical. The Pokémon also scares a lot od people and even appears in his bounty poster anyone who sees the poster gets even more freaked out by the already notorious man because honedge is usually a death warrant to those in it’s company and yet here zoro is working along side the accursed Pokémon

-Honedge evolves into a duoblade during ennis lobby, it sees Zoros asura and said “write that down” and then promptly split into the two sword Pokémon duoblade, because of the Pokémon’s inheritant mastery at sword play it makes for an excellent training partner for zoro and is admittedly one of Zoros worst enablers when it comes to training

-Zoro meets his 4th Pokémon on little garden, he finds small egg as it’s hatching a raltz crawls out of the egg and with no one else around the scared Pokémon basically immediately imprints on zoro. Zoro tucks the raltz into his haramaki and proceeds with the rest of little garden. When they get stuck on the wax statue the new born Pokémon is scared out of his mind, zoro promises he’ll get them out and then freaks out the baby by trying to cut his legs free. Luffy shows up and saves them but the raltz is somewhat traumatized although in awe at zoro this point so zoro agrees to take the ralfz with them on their journey. The raltz clings to zoro the whole time sanji is mending Zoros wounds and this quickly becomes a bit of a habit for the Pokémon as anytime zoro is hurt or overextends himself in training the Pokémon acts as Zoros shadow nurvously making sure he’s ok

-all of Zoros Pokémon are protective of him but raltz is definitely the most anxious about it sometimes even getting chopper to check on zoro when he thinks zoro is underplaying injuries, Zoro feels bad for worrying his Pokémon so raltz’s guilt tripping into making him rest is actually pretty effective

-raltz evolves at thriller bark when he sees Zoros near lifeless body, crying as he evolves the now kirlia without even thinking about it learns and uses the healing move life dew a on zoro, although not as effective on humans as it would be on Pokémon it does manage to heal some superficial cuts. All of zoros pokemon promises to grow stronger after thriller bark, all of them never wanting to see zoro like that again

-thriller bark puts all of Zoros Pokémon on edge, grovyle grabs his arm every few steps worried his knees will give out, kirlia and rosellia follow him like shadows, even duoblade refuses to train with zoro and calls zoros other Pokémon for backup in trying to make zoro rest because it’s so worried about it’s human

-during the sabaody incident grovyle evolves in to sceptile desperately trying to save his human right before they all get blimpt out by kuma

-during the TS mihawk offers zoro And kirlia a dawn stone, thus allowing kirlia to evolve into a gallade and sceptile and duoblade help gallade learn how to use his elbows as swords. With gallades new size he can now just lift zoro up, so occasionally the Pokémon can be seen carrying an exhausted zoro back to the mansion after a long day of training

-perona’s Gothorita becomes good friends with rosellia so as a parting gift perona gifts zoro and rosellia a shiny stone so she can evolve into a roserade

-when zoro returns to Sabaody at the end of the two years he and all his Pokémon are significantly stronger and sanji does freak out when he sees roserade

-zoros 5th Pokémon is a snom that finds him on punk hazard when zoro tumbles off the mountain after the yeti cool brothers attack them, next thing zoro knows he wakes up with a snom on his head that will not leave. Snom thought Zoros green hair sticking out of the snow was a grass patch and went to investigate so zoro wakes up with the Pokémon low key munching on his hair. Although annoyed at first he actually thinks the small Pokémon is really freaking cute and he quietly tucks the Pokémon into his robes and by the time their ready to leave punk hazard zoro knows the snom has no intentions of leaving him and accepts that he’ll have a new Pokémon crawling into his haramaki (gallade def isn’t just a little jealous)

-snom is the most chill Pokémon and not just because he’s an ice Pokémon, snom doesn’t really have interests in fighting and mostly just likes to hang out with zoro and nap, most of the time snom is just sleeping under Zoros robes, zoro forgets he’s even in there half the time and during fights you’ll often see zoro covered in blood with a wicked smirk across his face and then a tiny snom sticking out from behind him either hanging on his back or nestled in his robes (when he’s fighting shirtless) a good amount of people are so surprised by this that they stop mid fight just to ask if that’s Zoros snom to which zoro says “yea what of it” before cutting them down

-at dressrosa zoro meets his 6th Pokémon, a corvisquire that got caught in the bird cage, while trying to escape near the top of the bird cage corvisquire sees this man flying across the sky like a canon ball and can’t help but to check it out. Zoro is literally mid air when the Pokémon flies up next to him as if it’s about to have a conversation with zoro. The covisquire watches zoro defeat pika and swoops in to catch him right before zoro falls after cutting pika down. The Pokémon plants zoro on the ledge where Usopp is and salutes zoro much to everyone’s surprise

-basically corvisquire just thought zoro was sick as fuck and decided he was going to help the swordsman. Corvisquire is chatty and social and is fully devoted to zoro but also a bit of a fan girl and will occasionally start fights with sanji or anyone else who talks shit about zoro when zoro isn’t around

-zoro doesn’t even know the Pokémon is doing this until sanji storms in one day post wano with an angry bird pecking his head yelling “marimo!!! Get your shitty bird off me” between hysterical wheezing zoro manages to ask when the swirly cook did to make him so mad and sanji unamused and stopping around yells something about “did you tell this thing to attack me when when I shit talk you?!?!” Which 1st zoro def DID NOT do and 2nd is crying because apparently this has happened before and zoro has never known. Zoro nearly coughed up a lung by the time he stops laughing

-corvisquire is excellent with directions but because he stans zoro he never corrects which direction zoro is going

-corvisquire evolves into corviknight and while fighting king’s aerodyactly outside of onigashima. Corviknight sends the aerodyactly flying right over the side of the floating island

What's Kieran's team in Hisui ?

The Question Bombarder

The only ones I know for sure are their Typhlosion, Spiritomb, there's a hisuuian zorua that's not on the main team, she's more a pet/friend to Kieran. I really needed to think about this so the main team is:

H. Typhlosion

Alpha H. Goodra

Lucario

These are the three I know for sure. I'm not great at competative battling so i'm really struggling coming up with the rest in order to cover weaknesses, but would also fit Kieran's vibe and battle style. I keep going between Floatzel, Crogunk, Togekiss, Crobat etc. And I can't make up my mind.

There are a few pokemon that they bring back with them that are not part of their main team. For example a h. zorua that was more a companian than battler, an h. Arcanine that functioned as a guide/necessity for staying long periods outside where it was cold and damp, especially in the icelands. If only furret was there 😢 and Spiritomb, you got 100 wandering souls of the damned with the mind of a little girl , it would be so mean to leave it behind.

Scrambled

After Akari’s memory gets scrambled by the effects of a confusion attack, she forgets almost everything, including who Ingo is.

I wasn’t expecting to write another one so soon, but I found myself with no internet connection and a lot of time to kill last night. I wrote this without any requests this time, as this is a concept I’d like to explore in much more detail later on!

“Besides the few cuts and scrapes, she’s not hurt.”

“She was unbalanced when I brought her. Is that still an issue?”

“That seems to have lessened some, and will get better over time. Many people affected had dealt with that initially.”

“She was experiencing difficulties finding words earlier...”

“Just another common side effect. That seems to have recovered as well; she was talking fine with me when I was examining her.” Pesselle could tell these answers weren’t really reassuring the largest worry that was still yet to be verbalized. “Everything else has more or less stabilized.”

Standing in the Galaxy Hall’s hallway, Ingo broke his gaze away from Pesselle’s to glance into her medical office. Akari was sitting on Pesselle’s examination table, with the medical corps captain’s crogunk sitting with her.

“Well, that is relieving, I suppose.” The warden felt a weight lift off his shoulders… most of it, at least. “But, can you hazard a guess as to how long her state of mind will be like this?”

Within the medical room, Akari looked up, seeming to sense Ingo was looking over at her from the doorway. But instead of a familiar warm grin, or a reassuring smile, she returned his gaze with a look of indifference… if not distant confusion hidden behind suspicion.

There was no recognition. Like she didn’t know who he was.

“Well,” Pesselle looked over her notes, moreso out of nervous habit than anything; Ingo’s own potent concern was starting to affect her own demeanor. “It’s hard to say. You have to understand, we haven’t really had anyone in the survey corps experience being hit with this many waves of Confusion at once. You’re sure it was four kadabra?”

Ingo broke his uncomfortable gaze with Akari, returning it back to Pesselle as he rubbed the back of his neck. “It was a massive mass outbreak. I would not be surprised if it was more.”

“Another outbreak? She needs to be more careful-“

“I can assure you, she was exercising just as much caution as I was.” Ingo stopped Pesselle’s train of thought before it got too far down those tracks. Akari had been making an effort to better mind her surroundings, and Ingo wanted to give credit where credit was due. “There was simply an unscheduled secondary horde that made itself known. Neither of us were quite prepared for it.”

If utilized right, the use of Teleportation could catch even the most aware targets off-guard.

Pesselle cleared her throat at the correction and folded her notes back up, tucking all the loose papers together. “Well then, the best I can suggest is really to just watch her for now. When affected by a case of Confusion, people seem to have recovered their memories within a day or so. But understandably, Akari might take a bit longer.”

“So it isn’t permanent at this severity.” It was a hopeful question phrased as a confirmation statement.

“I can’t say, but I have no reason to believe it wouldn’t be like the other cases, seeing as other things are already starting to return to her.” Pesselle wished she could offer more certainty. “Just stay with her, and make sure she’s alright until the effects wear off, and she recovers her memory.”

“Ah, Miss Pesselle,” The woman had turned to enter the office again, but Ingo hesitated, reaching out to tap her arm and keep her back. “She does not appear to recall who I am at all, and it seems she is not too keen on departing with me. I admit, I did not make the best first impression with Miss Akari in this scrambled state of hers.”

Ingo had collected the teen up in his arms and carried her across the Fieldlands as best he could, taking her back to a safe place as soon as she had crumpled in the tallgrass. But in retrospect, with her confusion-scrambled memories in mind, it had made sense when she had shouted and tried to shove off of him like she had no idea who he was, groggily coming to when slung across his shoulder. Normally, she would have clung tighter.

Akari generally was not someone who acted unfriendly or standoffish when first meeting new people - a memory scramble would not get rid of that entirely. But this experience was not nearly as pleasant as their actual first interaction when Irida introduced the two of them at the training grounds, where she had treated him with cautious friendliness.

So it was both understandable, and a feat, that Ingo had managed to get Akari to become skeptical of him.

“Supervising company like that may not go over well with her.” Ingo appeared troubled. Pesselle knew Ingo well enough to know he specifically meant his supervising company, but she didn’t exactly know what to offer in order to alleviate it.

“…It’s ok, I’ll let her know it’s alright.”

Pesselle stepped back into the room, and Ingo followed after; Akari looked up at the two of them as they did so.

Ingo did not like how the eyes of a wary stranger lingered on him.

Ingo opened the doors to the Galaxy Hall, and Akari slipped out between them.

She did not joke about how she should hold the door for him instead, as one does for old people, like she normally would have.

She did not run through, telling him the last one to The Wallflower would have to pay for both their meals, and he was only giving her a head start by getting stuck holding the door (though Ingo was always perfectly content with that), like she usually did.

She didn’t even have the usual bounce in her step, just happy to be spending time with him.

She just walked through, giving him a casual side glance and uttering a ‘thank you’ as she did so.

Ingo’s frown tugged down. He followed Akari down the steps, standing off to the side as she looked down the dark strip of Jubilife Village’s storefronts. The sun had long set, and everything had closed hours ago, with the village asleep in its entirety under the dark night sky.

“Ahem,” Ingo cleared his throat. “…your unit is this way, Miss Akari.” He pointed in the direction of the gates. “Just past the Ginkgo Guild’s cart. It’s not too far.”

All Akari could manage was an ‘oh,’ as if she was already chastising herself for not remembering, while she fell into step behind him.

…Behind him, not by his side like she usually did.

It had taken some time for Pesselle to convince Akari that Ingo was someone she knew - immensely so - and not just some wilderness thief who had tried to take her belongings earlier.

Their prolonged conversation of reassurance had pained Ingo to listen to. Akari was just as unfamiliar with Pesselle as she was with him, but it was clear that she trusted the medical corps captain more than she trusted him.

And he felt he couldn’t blame her hesitance. Pesselle was Pesselle, with her reassuring bedside manners, and her disarming smiling. And well, Ingo was…

Ingo had gradually learned to become less conscious of his conventionally-intimidating appearance with repeated disregard over it from Akari, but the essential stranger staring at him made the familiar worries poke at him again.

It was strange seeing someone he cared about so much look at him like that.

Though in the end, Pesselle had convinced Akari, and she went with him, leaving the office with instructions to return daily for checkups on her memory, as well as gradually re-introduce herself to her Jubilife friends.

“Thank you,” Akari stayed behind him as he turned to head for her unit. “Um, I’m sorry about hitting you earlier when you were trying to help get me to safety. And shouting at you. And kneeing you...”

“It’s alright.” Ingo tried to reassure her as he kept moving forward, set on guiding her. And truly it would be alright, perhaps after the ugly teenager-knee-shaped bruise under his clothes had faded. “You were simply confused by what was occurring at the time, understandably so.”

Akari stayed uncharacteristically silent at that, simply humming in acknowledgement instead. Ingo didn’t exactly know what the Akari he knew would have said, but that was probably because the Akari he knew wouldn’t have even had this awkward small-talk conversation with him in the first place.

He just recognized that her courteousness, as polite as it was, seemed empty without the familiarity and warm recognition behind it. It seemed she still didn’t want to have anything to do with him.

Would she be this detached from everyone else? Surely to some degree, she would.

It made Ingo anxious for that familiarity to come back. And it would come back. But until then, it would be a long week.

Hey I'm in town and obviously wanna stop by to try your cooking, but also do to recent events at my cafe I'm considering adopting a more muscular pokemon like crogunk or mienfuu to help around my cafe. I'm worried if I have to carry my newest buddy again 'jesters to a leshed anxious pink dragonair with a vest on that says ~ask before approaching me~ on it' that I may seriously injure my back or legs without the help of the extra muscle. She really is gentle the vest is more to protect her from anxitey then people from her by the way. I was wondering if you knew if the daycare near your shop had any pokemon that fit the bill that might be out of the puppy stage that young pokemon tend to go through. Either way I'd like to stop by and try a latte and get some poffins for my pokemon first, and of course catch up, :)

if you're looking for muscle as in fighting-types, i think i'm not the best person to ask, i don't have too much experience with those. I only know that croagunk and mienfoo are both kinda small though. Sure, they can pack a punch, and they CAN be heavy lifters, but they are first stage evolutions.

I'm also not sure if a Toxicroak would be what you're looking for anyways, because, well, they are surprisingly powerful, but they can be moody and they aren't known for a pure muscular approach, if you know what i mean? I can't say anything on Mienshao though, sorry...

If you're looking for a fighting type in particular, i would start looking for maybe Gurrdurr or Conkeldurr? Hariyama is also pretty strong, and of course Machoke and Machamp are a no brainer. If it doesn't have to be a fighting type, i can't recommend Scolipede enough. They are big, they are friendly (if raised properly. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE don't go into Pinwheel forest and try to catch a wild, fully evolved Scolipede.) And they are just awesome in general. Might be biased with the last part tho. I also heard that Goodra are very very friendly and Gentle Giants, they aren't uncommon as Support Pokémon (provided you or your pokémon doesn't have issue with the slime).

And for the daycare, they don't adopt pokémon out tho, as far as i'm aware? But it doesn't hurt to ask of course. @pkmn-aide-mel how is that going?

//ooc: that's a friend who's running a blog for the daycare. Hasn't been very active lately tho... //also you don't have to comply with that canon though, if you want your character to adopt from the daycare just do that XD
