In case you're curious, Horus was a late birthday present from Kaeya. Such a dear he was, considering my last several messengers appear to have not reached you.. Or perhaps they did and then failed the journey back. Either way, I do apologize for the scarce contact, but Horus here should ensure it's much easier going forward!

That aside, how are you darling? How have your travels been, and what have you been doing? You're eating well I hope. If not, I may have to punish you, hmhm~

Everything is fine back home in Mondstadt, but it tends to feel rather dull to me. Everyone else seems so enchanted all the time, pleased with their merry lives. Yet all I ever find myself thinking about is you, and how much I miss you.. Do promise you'll come home soon? My life feels so incredibly boring without you around. All I ever think about is how much I miss teasing you, kissing you.. Pleasuring you~ I'll never grow tired of you my love.

Lisa my love! 💞 Hello, I’m so happy to be receiving a letter from you, beloved. It’s no one’s fault, of course, but I missed these romantic little notes we would pass. But do please tell Kaeya I say thank you! Thanks to him, I get to talk to you again, and that makes me so, so happy. (And Horus is a beautiful bird, too. So well behaved, and he enjoyed his snack of seeds very much!)

I’ve been very well myself— I’ve since travelled from Sumeru and into Inazuma, actually! It took quite a bit of work, but the Academy provided some help in getting me the right credentials to enter, so all’s well that ends well, I suppose! This place is beautiful, really. Almost everywhere I turn, there’s something that’s purple— It always makes me think of you, haha.

I’ve been eating quite well (it’s hard not to, when the food here is so delicious) but, well, I wouldn’t mind skipping a meal or two if what you say is true~

I’m glad things are fine, and that there isn’t much danger. I’d hate for you to be stressed over that, you know? I miss you very much too, but these letters help me feel close to you again, even if nothing beats being home with you. When I see you again, we’ll have to spend a whole week that’s just the two of us. Maybe more? As much as I love traveling, I do also so very enjoy just waking up on slow mornings with you, and being able to just savor the moment. It’s one of the things I miss most, being so away from you.

Please get some rest as well, Lisa! Working for the knights can surely be exhausting sometimes, and I’d hate to know you lost out on your precious rest. Maybe I should punish you if I hear you haven’t been getting enough sleep? Either way, take your time, my love. I’ll always be happy to receive your letters, anytime.

*the letter arrived a day later, in the same letter you'd sent the last one in. Inside was the letter, but additionally a single picture of the witch of the purple rose sat within her library with a gentle smile, taken with a camera like yours, as well as a penciled sketch of yourself and Lisa sat at a table at Angel's Share. You'd recognize the style anywhere as Albedo's, not to mention his signature also present on the back of the paper.*

Catte, my rose, my dearest, my love... Thank you. Thank you so much for the pictures you sent, oh I absolutely burst into tears looking through them. They're all so beautiful, most of all the one picture of you... Oh, I miss you so much, my love. Thank you.

Everything in Sumeru is as stunning as I remember. It truly is a magnificent place, and I have many memories from my time at the Academy. I just wish I could say all of them were good.. It was a bit of a mixed bag, let's say. Don't let me get too dreary about it, of course it's a wonderful school, with wonderful teachers. Hehe, did you tell them who your girlfriend was? I'm sure that would have made for quite the reasoning to have them allow you to observe. Sometimes I think about going back to visit.. They send me letters almost monthly, you know. Something about having their most prodigal alumni return boosting their reputation. I don't really remember--I've started tossing the letters into the fireplace. I'm sure you'll have a wonderful time there, cutie. Maybe I will return one day... If I have you by my side. Maybe.

Also, shame on you for reminding me how much I miss the food there! Sumeru has such wonderful food... And bonus--no pumpkins. Sweet celestia do I hate pumpkins. Mondstadt has it's share of good food too though; not just Sara but also Brook and Diluc are amazing chefs. Also that Diona girl, the once or twice she's had me sample food it's been remarkable, but obviously I requested she didn't tell me what was in it, so long as there was no meat. I've spoken to Diluc and Sara recently actually. They both sent along their regards, and Sara also said she'd be sending along some food for you, just to make sure Sumeru doesn't win you over completely, hehe~💜

I have thanked Albedo perfusely. It makes me so happy that you love your present so much. I'll just have to think of something even more inventive to send you next time! I'm sure I'll think of something, I'm always thinking about you after all 💜

Albedo was also a dear in sending along your little present in this note as well! He was both the photographer and the artist, he had to recreate you from a mixture of his memory and what pictures we already had of you on hand. I'm very pleased with how it turned out, as it looks absolutely radiant, and I know better than anyone. I must have the most beautiful girlfriend alive, I don't even exaggerate. I love you so much starlight.

Also, please be sure to get adequate sleep before attending any morning lectures while you're at the Academy. They can be very taxing if you're not well rested, and I can't have my babygirl hurting herself, now can I~? If that were to happen I'd just have to march down there and punish whoever was responsible, especially if it's you~!

Also, don't worry! Nobody was injured thank goodness. She was the only one in the building as me and Jean had left to go meet with Barbara. She said hi as well by the way, I forgot to mention that! She misses you dearly, and she wanted me to tell you she wrote a new song and would love to sing it for you. Such a doll that girl is. That being said, I must admit it was rather tempting to lie and say someone had been injured, if only so I could have you here in my arms again.. But I wouldn't dare tear you from your travels. I just wish we were together, wherever that was. When next you return I'm going to have to discuss with Jean perhaps I could take an extended vacation to travel with you, so long as we're not doing anything too strenuous, hehe... You should know better than anyone that I can be a little lazy at times~💜

Anyways, what types of lectures are you attending? Magecraft? Alchemy? Potioncraft? I know I always enjoyed the latter the most, if you hadn't guessed. Goodness, it's bringing back such a flush of memories knowing you're where I first studied. Even though I know you're just observing, suddenly I can't help but think of how cute you would look in the uniform... Oh, now I've got myself a little bothered, hehe~ you're just so adorable starlight that I can't help it 💜

[Much like before, there are photos that come in the envelope, and of the same mundane nature. Among others there’s a picture of an oasis, of papers, a pen and a journal with the sketch and the photograph of Lisa tucked carefully between its pages, and a picture taken of a reflection in a mirror, a figure striking a pose and grinning widely, seemingly taken at the start of the day. But aside from the pictures and the letter, sun-kissed and warm, there is also another object— a bracelet designed to look as if the band was composed of numerous interlocking silver stems, with small purple roses dotted across the expanse of the band, looking as if small lightning storms were caught in their crystalline petals.]

⠀Hello my sweet! Since you were so fond of the photos last time, I included a couple more here once again that I thought you might like to see. It was fun bringing the camera around, pausing sometimes and snapping shots that I thought you’d like to see— in a way, it felt like I was walking the streets of Sumeru with you! I miss you very much also,and I quite loved the photograph and the sketch that was sent back to me, as you could maybe tell. I bring them both around with me in my journal throughout the day, so neither reminders of you are very far.

⠀The Academy was fascinating! I managed to wake up to observe that early class I mentioned before (it was Potioncraft! An introduction to it, to be specific) and since then I’ve also signed up to observe a few more different classes and lectures, though I limit myself to one or two a day, otherwise my mind might just melt from all the information! I’ve only been to a few, and it’s amazing that you not only understood all of it, but that you did it with flying colors! Really, I’m so proud to call you my girlfriend 💞

⠀I… may have mentioned your name and status as my significant other just once or twice when I initially requested to observe, just to make sure they’d approve— honestly, I wouldn’t be surprised if one reason why they readily allowed me to do so was to butter me up and get me to bring you for a visit. I don’t mind really, but I just found it so funny how a total of 5 separate scholars approached me on the first day to ask about your well-being and whether or not you were planning to come to Sumeru anytime soon! After I told them that you don’t have any plans to visit Sumeru in a hurry, they’ve mostly backed off, which I’m glad for. I knew you were one of the best, love, but this level of popularity by association was unexpected! There are some who I get along with, though. A man named Cyno, white hair, red eyes, and a girl named Collei who’s studying medicine. They don’t talk much, but they’re decent company, and apparently they even came to Mondstadt before and met you— though I’m not too clear on the details. They actually helped me procure the materials to make the bracelet that I’ve sent, and they instructed me on how to form it into how you see it now through some means that I don’t entirely understand, even now. I hope you like this gift as well, love 💞

⠀If you like the food here, I’ll see if i can ask around for some local recipes to learn and bring home, nothing involving pumpkins though, I promise! And yes, speaking of, please give Barbra, Diluc, Diona, Sara and Brook (if you pass by Springvale anytime soon) my regards! I’ve tried some of Diona’s non-alcoholic drinks before, and they were heavenly! And please give Sara my thanks–– some food from Good Hunter would be so nostalgic, and a welcome relief. I’m glad Barbra is doing well with her idol career as well, though I do worry about her sometimes. Nevertheless, I can’t wait to hear her new song, I’m certain I’ll love it!

⠀And really, Albedo did great work drawing you and me–– knowing there wasn’t a direct reference makes it all the more impressive! Please give him my thanks again, love. If i happen upon something in the markets while i look for more things to send you, perhaps i can find something to repay him with.

⠀Oh, you flatter me, love. But thank you; coming from such a beautiful woman, your praise means a lot 💞⠀Ah, you always manage to convey your love to me through these letters, no matter how far they must travel. I hope you can feel how much I love you as well, and how much I miss you. The city is splendid at night, and I would have loved to watch the stars glisten in the sky with you, but even though we’re apart, knowing that we’re looking up at the same moon and the same stars makes me feel peace. Maybe someday we can do what you said and take a vacation around, maybe even come back out here together for a weekend or two–– I’m sure you know all the best places here, and I’d love for you to show me. Traveling around is great, but if you’re willing to come with me, It’ll be an even better experience. Catte, my dearest, it's so wonderful to finally get a reply! Oh isn't Horus just wonderful? Such a good boy, I tell you if it were possible for a bird like him to get a Vision, he'd certainly deserve one, haha!

Also, starlight, I know you tease. But you, punish me~? Oh darling, you seem to have been away so long you've forgotten some things.. Like your collar.. 💜

I'm glad to hear you were able to make it to Inazuma! Last I knew the entryways were still blocked by order of the Shogun. Have things since changed, or are you being a little stowaway? Just please promise me you're safe, sweetheart.. I worry about you.

As for me, the Knights have been doing very little lately. Jean has kept her focus on homeland defense, but she's finally found a way to get the Fatui out of Mondstadt! Granted it's only a temporary solution, nothing more than a simple expulsion due to an expired business license in the city, but it at least ensures a brief reprieve from them constantly egging on some of the more hot-headed(We both know I mean Diluc).

Please right back soon, I miss you terribly. Oh, what are you doing as far as arrangements in Inazuma? I'd ask Horus but I don't speak bird, hehe. Please tell me you've found somewhere safe to stay? I love you starlight.. And I worry. Please just right back soon.

Horus is definitely a sweetheart, he’s so open to pats and treats! He already does such a good job sending these letters so quick, but if he had a vision, I’d hope it’d be anemia, just so the winds could accompany him on his journey. And oh, that collar— I swear, it’s something I dearly wish I had brought with me, though I couldn’t think of a better person to hold on to it for me than you. I’m sure you’ll be able to keep it safe for me until I return, and I can wear it for you again, and you can ah, jog my memory 💞

And yes! Definitely, coming here was quite difficult, what with the storm barrier and the entrance protocols being as strict as ever. Still, I just had to namedrop you to the head of the Academy, and they were all-too happy to, ahem, totally legally give me credentials about how I was one of their researchers looking for a thesis, show them to whoever I needed to show them to, and boom! I was let in to Inazuma with minimal stress, and all things considered, I’m pretty safe. It seems even when we’re apart, you’re still helping me so much, my love. Thank you <3

Oh! As for where I’m staying, I’ve found this quaint village that’s agreed to take me in for my time here, so long as I help scare off the invasive birds and tend the fields every now and then. It’s really beautiful, and very peaceful, and it has lots and lots of places for me to get snacks for darling Horus, haha. It’s very safe here, and in emergencies, I can hold my own. I do have to get back to you in one piece, my dear💞

I’m glad the fatui have finally been off your back! Hopefully, this means that you and the rest of the knights (and Diluc, of course) can get some more breathing room. Please take the opportunity to get some rest and relaxation, Lisa; I worry about you as much as you worry about me, after all.

Upon opening it, a pressed flower falls out. It is a deep purple in color and unlike any you can recall having seen on your journey*

Darling, good morning! I have been woken up early by a rather energetic Sucrose: the first of the flowers has started to bloom!! That should have taken months, truly, but Albedo apparently gave her special soil that made it grow far faster. They're so beautiful, she immediately pressed a few for me and begged me to send one along to you. She also says hi, by the way, and wonders when next you'll visit(just to tease I told her "whenever I miss you so much I start crying, because I know you'll return in an instant" hehe~)

I still haven't found anything about these within my books, which is rather amazing. You've traveled more than I have, baby have you ever seen a flower like this? It reminds me so much of you all the same, but then again these days everything does...~

Also, I'm very glad that you're eating properly. Good girl~ however you better not be saying their food is better than my cooking! Hehe.. I'm just teasing, cutie. I know it isn't 💜 also, yes. 100 times yes; you know I would march to ends of Teyvat to keep you safe, starlight. You mean everything to me.

I'm going to try to get some more sleep, I'm still exhausted from last night. Sucrose just seemed so excited that little darling that I couldn't possibly ignore her, even at such an ungodly hour(it was around 5am, but who's counting). I wish you could be here with me.. ⠀As much as I would love to see you come and eradicate everything in your path, Mondstadt and the knights do need you, dearest. Jean can only do so much on her own, after all. Ah, but regardless, just the thought of seeing you again makes me happy and excited. 💞

Good, I'm glad you slept well, my rose 💜 Your letter only just found me now, ironically right as I was about to sleep. If I'm being honest it's rather late here, I stayed up quite a bit longer than I anticipated while writing something. Hehe, oops~

Anyways, sleepy as I may be, allow me to spend a moment telling you about my day today. Jean came into the library asking me for a book by name that left me speechless, and you'll never guess why; I'd literally just finished it the day I first met you. I may have teared up a little in front of her while thinking about how much I miss you. Of course I loaned her the copy immediately, and she was on her way. Other than that it's been so quiet lately... Only little Ella truly visits me every day. I miss you. Mi muhe ye.

How have you been darling? Have you been eating properly? I'm sure wherever you are the food isn't as good as it is here(unless of course you're in Liyue-I've been meaning to take you to Wanmin once the chance arises). Please do be sure you're eating properly though. I hope nobody has done anything to hurt you, either. Otherwise I might have to take a little vacation, hehe~💜
