everytime i remember abc_123_a.ogg from undertales files i lose it even more. not only are gasters soundbytes (wng_dng1-7) sampled from it, but one of the tts voices from it reads out "DELTARUNE" at the end of chapter 1, lending even more to the idea that gaster's involved with deltarune's universe! (link to the clip below, tumblr wouldn't let me attach an actual audio file?)

it's also! interesting to note that one of the other anti-datamining files, attention_hackerz_no_2, calls chara into mind! both files were changed in versions 1.001 and beyond (abc_123_a into laugher) and this file changed into...

it's especially interesting/funny considering that the variables attached to this script are titled demona, demonb, demonc, and demond!

Another head canon-

One of the main people that created the barrier was related to Chara. One of their ancestors (or Kris. I can’t decide which one of these I want awaaa). It would be a neat thing if Chara was (partially) responsible for destroying it.

YES ABSOLUTELY

I believe that with all of my soul. Maybe the human we see sealing the monsters is Kris. And Chara could be related to them and even have known that they were. Maybe they felt guilty because their ancestor trapped monsters underground and was one of the reasons they decided to free monsters, to somehow mend the wrongs that juman had committed. They felt like, since they were their descendant, that meant they were destined to be evil too and wanted to prove themselves wrong. To prove to themselves that they were different, that they would never do anything like that. Maybe every moment living with the Dreemuurs reminded them that their ancestor were the reason everyone is trapped in the first place. And it became so unbearable they decided to eat the flowers.

And when they help Frisk save Asriel and break the barrier, they are finally happy knowing that they could fix what their predecessor did. Getting what they always wanted and more, a human who is kind and shows them that they are not forced to be someone who is bad but that everyone can be a good person, even if they come from someplace where no one was.

And in the genocide route, everything Chara thought is proven right. They are not allowed to be a good person. They’ll always be evil just like the ancestor that sealed monsters underground. It was foolish of them to think they could be anything else than a demon. People can’t change. So what’s the purpose of a world where all the evil will forever stay the same?

Or maybe the magician that sealed them underground did so to prevent the monsters from being obliterated and Chara wants to something as brave and kind as what that human did.

So many theories that we can make about Chara :3 that’s why u love them
