Ain't it something? What makes that scene really funny is not only is Sukuna just standing there pondering, he's spacing out in the middle of a fight (where his opponents are there to defeat him) with one pair of arms crossed, hands on his hips and he's spacing out because he's trying to figure out why he's upset and what's his deal with Yuji, the same person who noticed he's spacing out.

He's not standing there coming up with some strategic plan of attack. No, he's thinking over his life choices and Yuji and why he finds him more annoying than anyone else and it turns out Yuji's unbreakable. Love to see it!!

Sukuna's philosophy is finally being challenged in a significant way. Unlike the fights with yorozu, gojo and kashimo (who all agreed with him they just misinterpreted how he felt about it) the fight with yuuji is affecting him and his ideals which have been stagnant and static for the last one thousand years. And it's not a coincidence that he's also thinking about jogo and higuruma, the only two people he fought who were standing for something other than just being strong for strength sake. And in all of this yuuji is the ultimate opponent for sukuna because he never agreed with sukuna's ideal, he never recognized strength to be valuable in itself and he naver stood down.
