Think You Can Warm Me Up
[Elves and Cockwarming x reader]
Tumblr media
Request: What elves do you think would like cock-warming? - anon
A/N: This was a lot of elves to think for since I've added more over the months gone by. Enjoy!!!
Warning: smut, cockwarming
More: Brat Taming
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Loves it – sometimes when they’re too busy to have sex with you but you want to feel them, they’ll suggest you sit on their lap, only to feel them raising your body slightly to slide themselves into you. When you lift your hips to move, their hands will be planted firmly on your waist with a stern look on their faces warning you to stay still. They’ll keep their hands on your waist, using it to pull you closer to rest against their chest and hold you down. Some use it for punishment when your bratty side comes out. They’ll rile you up by making out with you, having you grind on them feeling as though you two are about to have sex, but then when you’re about to ride them, they’ll lean in to whisper, “Not so fast love, no moving, sit right there and stay still or I’ll leave you empty. You thought I’d just give in and give you what you wanted, my poor confused little one” Other times, they’d use it to literally warm themselves up. When you two are relaxing as such, they’d throw the suggestion out to you and once you agree, the two of you will just be lounging about with their cock buried in you, staying warm. There are times you’ve fallen asleep with them buried in you. “You feel so warm and tight love, stop shifting so much, just stay still. This feels good, now we can cuddle.”

Hates it – the first time you suggest the act, they were down to try it, but once you sank your warm hole onto their cock, it was over for them. Their hands would immediately shoot out to grab your waist, urging you to move but you’ll simply push it away and lean into their chest informing them that you’re not supposed to move. “It’s called cockwarming for a reason. Now stay still. Don’t get mad, remember you agreed to this, so sit and enjoy it.” This was absolute torture for them, they couldn’t take it anymore. Knowing that if they moved their hips right then, you’d probably hop off and that wasn’t part of their plan. Waiting till you were settled in and comfortable, with ease, their hands would sneak around your waist holding you firmly to their chest and without any warning, begin thrusting into you. You’d admit that this was not how you planned the session to go but with the way the tip of their cock was brushing against your soft spot, your moans gave it away. Now whenever you suggest it to them, they’d smile at you saying that they’ll behave, only to abuse your heat as soon as you sink down on their cock. The longest they’ve ever lasted was five seconds. “If you really thought I’d sit through all that torture, you’re absolutely wrong. Now be a good girl/boy and enjoy my cock.”

Mixed feelings – one minute it’s torture for them the other it’s blissful. It just all depends on their mood not so much yours. If they’re tired and just want to be warmed or you want to feel them, they’d let you go ahead without interrupting you. They’d simply wrap their arms around you and pull you in closer, pressing a kiss to your forehead and drifting off to sleep. Other times it’s when they’re busy doing paperwork and could do with a little relief. Letting you sit on their lap with the table hiding their cock buried deep in your heat, they’d let you lean into them so they could continue their work. “This feels good, didn’t think I’d be needing this, but after I’m finished here, I’d bend you over this table for a good fuck, hmm.” When you’re teasing them all day and acting up and then decide it’s time to kick it up a notch by making them feel you were about to ride them after your tedious torture only to sit still on their cock, now you’re just asking for it. They’d be grinding their teeth the entire time when you tell them not to move while pretending to do something important, informing them that when you’re finished then you two can go at it, they’re not going to listen, not when you were suffocating their cock. They wouldn’t care at that point, so say goodbye to whatever it was that you were doing. “Don’t you think this is a little too much love, don’t you think this has gone on for too long because I think so as well. How about we change that by having me fuck you, now.”

Elves comforting you
a/n: wifey @queenmeriadoc requested “how elves comfort you when you’re missing your family” and I tried my best to deliver! you know the drill - lemme know how you liked it, reblogs and comments are extremely appreciated and the ask box is open 😊💖 i’m excited/nervous bc it was my first time writing for most of these characters! 👀
INCLUDES: Galadriel, Arondir, Elrond, Celebrimbor, Gil-galad
(Elrond and Galadriel can count both as LOTR and TROP versions, ig?)
Tumblr media
GALADRIEL:
absolutely understands you because she was parted from many of her family members and close people
asks you whether you want to talk about something, you want advice or you just want her to distract you somehow
she will offer a shoulder to cry on if you need that
she will run her fingers through your hair
also she will pamper you the whole evening to try and chase the sadness away because she loves to take action as much as she can, especially when it comes to someone she loves deeply
she will bring you your favorite food or some magically calming herbal tea, run you a bath full of flowers and scented salts and all those fancy things
ARONDIR:
he is a great listener and you know you can open up to him about your sadness and nostalgia
you can see in his eyes that he is deeply empathetic
he will gently cradle your face in his hands and wipe away any tears that might appear
in order to cheer you up, he suggests a walk, because sunshine and fresh air always seem to work for him
the walk ends up being a hunt for the most beautiful flowers that he wants to pick for you
so gradually your tears turn to smiles and you end up walking back home together with a bunch of flowers in your arms and his strong arms around your shoulders
ELROND:
oh he completely understands how you feel and he literally tears up a bit when he sees that you’re sad
he will talk you through your feelings and try his best to advise you, but he knows that it can only help so much
his touch is feather light as he takes you to your quarters and he knows you well enough to know the best medicine for your sadness - a cuddle session
he will fiddle with your hair as you two talk, he will be the big spoon if you want him to, eventually he will pepper kisses onto any available area of your skin
if you drift away to sleep, he will still be there and hold you until you wake up, feeling a bit less sad
CELEBRIMBOR:
he doesn’t need to ask “is something wrong”, he can immediately ask “WHAT is wrong” because he can read you that well
he will definitely hold your hands and squeeze them in support while you’re spilling the contents of your heart out
if your family doesn’t live too far away, he will ask whether you want him to accompany you on a trip to them
if that isn’t an option for whatever reason, he is definitely taking you on a “trip” to the forge - he knows you like to watch him work so it will be a nice distraction to you
also maybe he will make you a little something special, suited just to your taste,  like a hair accessory, to cheer you up even more
either way he won’t give up until he makes you smile
GIL-GALAD:
while you’re alone and pondering your feelings, he sneaks up behind you and envelops you in a warm hug
he will inquire about your thoughts and emotions in a comforting low voice - he knows exactly how to get you talking
he will immediately suggests going to visit your family if possible
but until then, he will make sure to have your favorite food made for you
and he will dance with you to nonexistent music, maybe hum a tune
and spin you around the biggest hall until your laughter starts echoing around it
also soft kisses are a must

Helping Celebrimbor heal in Valinor hc
Pairing: Celebrimbor x reader
Warnings: slight mentions of torture
Takes place after he is reembodied and falls in love with you
♡♡♡♡♡♡♡
♡ You go for long walks after Celebrimbor has nightmares, sometimes until the sun comes up, while you talk about all sorts of things
♡ he feels uncomfortable and cramped in narrow spaces and streets, so you've agreed that he'll always tug on your sleeve twice when everything gets too much for him
♡ You then carefully lead him out of the crowd and help him to calm down
♡ When he wants to start working in the forge again, he asks you to stay with him
♡ He is too afraid of being reminded of the forging of the rings and the pain of what followed while forging
♡ Feels safe if you are there when he makes something again, at least at first
♡ Celebrimbor gets a few panic attacks, but you help him and soon he manages to work alone in the forge (but doesn't mind if you come along or drop by sometimes anyway)
♡ Would like to get in touch with Curufin again, but isn't sure if his father has really changed and realised his mistakes
♡ Since Curufin doesn't know you, you offer to find out if he is still the same
♡ In the end, it leads to a heart-wrenching reunion between father and son, which is also the reason why Curufin welcomes you all too happily as part of the family
♡ As it had been dark in Sauron's dungeon, Celebrimbor can only sleep when the whole room is brightly lit
♡ Feels guilty if you can't sleep well in the light, but you assure him that you're happy to get used to a new sleeping situation as long as it means he can find his way back to the present more quickly after nightmares or fall asleep at all
♡ sometimes wakes you up after really bad nightmares
♡ you always wake up from the 'normal' nightmares, but with the really bad ones he doesn't scream and just lies there frozen with fear
♡ He wakes you up quietly and ashamed and asks if you can cuddle, of course you say yes every time and then whisper to him that you are glad he woke you up because you love him and want to help him, Celebrimbor always feels a little better as a result
♡ All in all, it will take time for him to really start getting better, but it would be worth all the time in the world to you, and you know you can do it as long as you're together

From beyond death
Tumblr media
In life, you had saved him from the dragon, and now in death, you had done the same.
Warnings: heavy subjects, angst, mentions of a death of a friend, not getting along with a sibling, dying, sad, bleeding, dreaming, torture, getting shot with arrows, and surviving a river.
------------------------------------------
It started out as a little visit. There was a knock at the doorway to the forge, and you were there, popping your head around the corner.
“Celebrimbor. I’m sorry to disturb you, but can I hide here for a while? Lady Finduilas is trying to encourage me to attend another feast, but I am not really feeling it today,” you asked.
“Of course. Help yourself out,” Celebrimbor chuckled as you scuttered in after getting a confirmation, making yourself a spot at a nearby table covered with metals and stones. Celebrimbor glanced in amusement while trying to focus on his current project.
You always had a less liking for social gatherings, maybe because you were more used to wandering outside, keeping your eyes out for dangers that could threaten the safety of Nargothrond. A lone wolf, his kin called you. Galadwen is what you called yourself, but Celebrimbor already knew your real name.
“You know, you could always tell Gwindor and Princess Finduilas that you do not wish to attend the feast,” Celebrimbor stated as he continued his current project. “I usually avoid attending social events, but I didn’t want to appear rude this time,” you said as you made yourself busy, handling a small bunch of metal wires in your hands.
Celebrimbor shook his head with a smile. “My friend, you won’t ever get rid of the fear of people if you don’t try to face them more often,” he said.
“I prefer a solitary life. And besides, I’ve never been one for social life. I remember once attending a feast and getting angry with this one elven lord who insulted my people,” you explained.
“Oh yeah… what happened then?” Celebrimbor questioned since you usually didn’t tell a lot of your past.
“I purposely dumbed cake on him to get his tunic dirty. I don’t think he ever forgave me for that, and honestly, I still don’t feel bad about it. He was unpleasant even on regular days,” you said, making him grin at the thought while you were deep in your own project.
You had a hard time opening up, so whenever Celebrimbor saw a chance to ask questions, he took it to learn more about you.
He wanted to understand why you would name yourself a sorrowful maiden. He knew something terrible had happened, and you were a lonely soul, so he took the initiative to be your friend. Something his prideful father would had most likely shamed him for, and he did not regret it as you two had grown a close friendship. There was something that pulled him toward you, and one day– you trusted him enough to give him your real name and your past as one of the children of Hurin.
When he learned about the tragic death of your close friend and the fallout between you and your brother, many things about you started to make sense, and it nearly broke his heart. He did not think you deserved to be alone for the things that happened. You even set yourself outside, thinking it would protect his people if you did not linger inside and infect the kingdom with the curse of your house. It resulted in your self-destructive habits as you were haunted by what happened, and Celebrimbor was glad he was able to talk you out of them and live more healthily.
It was clear he had a lot of effect on you as you even started coming inside and visiting his forge much more to talk to him. His kin saw you and him as a peculiar pair, but since it helped you to stop most of your destructive habits and smile more, Celebrimbor paid no mind. He deeply cared for you, so it was worth it.
You two talked in the forge. You shared certain things that happened in the feast, and Celebrimbor replied sometimes with an amused chuckle or another question to keep the conversation flowing. You then did something peculiar he would never forget.
“Hey, Celebrimbor. Could you come here for a moment?” you asked.
Curious, Celebrimbor left his current project and walked over to you. You then lifted one of his hands and slid a ring made from metal wires into his finger. Celebrimbor was surprised by the sudden gesture, but he couldn’t help but marvel at the new ring in his hand. You had somehow folded the metal wires into a single ring, and in the center, you had twisted ends together and folded them into a shape that resembled a spiky flower with roots wrapped around the ring.
Celebrimbor felt charmed and impressed as you had made the ring with your bare hands.
“It’s lovely. What is it?” Celebrimbor looked at you.
“A spike ring,” you answered.
“Not the fanciest name, but in my birth home, we used to make them to give our friends, families, and those dear to us whenever they leave as lucky charms, wishing them safe return and protection from evil,” you explained, “It’s even said if someone who wishes you harm touches the ring, the spikes will make them bleed, but I don’t know if that’s true. The spikes are not sharp enough to cause bleeding unless you push hard enough,”
“I…” you hesitated. “It’s just suddenly came to mind. I’m sorry if that was too weird for you,” you shook your hands with an awkward look.
Celebrimbor couldn’t help but smile. “Not at all. I appreciate the little gift. Thank you, (Name),” he said, and you smiled in return, happy to see him accept your little gift.
It was supposed to be only a friendly gesture, but the more time he spent with you, the more you opened up to him. To his worry, he found himself in a similar predicament as Luthien. He had fallen in love with you.
His father would have scorned him if he knew his son had fallen for a mortal, not that his opinion would have mattered. However, Celebrimbor should have controlled himself and avoided such an outcome since there is no way for an eldar and an edain to be together without tragedy. He doubted he could do the same as Luthien and give up his immortality to be with you.
But, he couldn't bring himself to break your heart either. The very idea made him feel resentful toward himself. You would understand his view if he told you, but at the very same time, he wants to bring you that kind of happiness.
King Felagund himself once thought an eldar and an edain could not be together, but then he changed as he willingly helped a mortal man who sought to marry the daughter of Thingol. If someone like him could change his mind, then maybe it's not so terrible.
Celebrimbor never guessed he would feel so much more for you. He would have been happy just to be your friend and see you live a happy long life as you should. But now he had these feelings bothering him.
He observed you as you two went on with your usual outings and activities. He would visit you outside and listen as you talked and watched the stars on your favorite hill and he would sometimes watch as you visited his forge and started crafting something else with your hands at the table where he started gathering materials for you: to see if you would come up with something new.
You looked so happy, but he did not see any signs that you might share the same feelings for him as he did for you. It was more favorable since it made it easy to control his feelings and accept that you only saw him as your friend.
He was alright with that and made a promise to himself that he would stay and see you live a good life as your friend.
But, oh, how he had underestimated the power of your family’s curse as one day. It had come in the form of your older brother, Turin.
He first believed it would be a happy reunion since you had mentioned that your brother went missing after an incident, but you were cautious for some reason. You did try to reconnect with Turin, but something felt amiss, and he felt more like a stranger to you than the brother you grew up within the safety of Doriath.
You became cautious when Turin started gaining influence in Nargothrond. At first, you were all right with whatever he was doing, but then you started expressing concern when he began sharing his ideas with the elves of Nargothrond.
Celebrimbor was there to support you, especially when you and Turin only seemed to grow more distant and unable to see eye to eye. Turin convinced Orodreth to build a bridge to Nargothrond’s main entrance, which in your mind was a terrible idea, and when Gwindor began to get scorned by the council for his past as Morgoth’s thrall, your distance from him only grew.
You came to a realization that Turin was planning to reattempt to have revenge against Morgoth for your family’s suffering, which only created a deeper drift between you as you didn’t think going to war was the best option for your home.
While Turin believed in a direct approach toward the enemy, you believed hiding in secrecy was Nargothrond's best defense. You two only got into an argument when you reminded him what happened last time when he tried to build an army to oppose Morgoth. You were there to support him back then, and it had cost the life of your best friend.
Celebrimbor tried to be the mediator since the arguments between you and your brother were sometimes intense, but when Turin insulted him for his family’s actions as kinslayers, you lost your patience and punched your brother in the face. Celebrimbor was quick to take you away before things escalated, and you would try to fight your brother. You had incredible patience, but when it came to defending him or Gwindor, you would often go head-first and fight the offender.
But this time. You were truly upset with your brother, so he had to calm you down. You vented your frustration about the matter, and Celebrimbor peacefully calmed you till you spoke more softly and expressed your concerns about how Turin was not listening to reason.
Celebrimbor wanted things between you to be peaceful since you both were respected by his people, but when he saw Turin’s growing arrogance as his influence over the kingdom grew and how Turin was slightly too certain things would go his way. It reminded him too much about his father and uncle before things went wrong with them, so Celebrimbor couldn’t help but side with you.
When Turin began encouraging the elves to go to war with Morgoth, you opposed it, but your voice went unheard as Turin’s speech to defeat Morgoth convinced King Orodreth and the council, and they began making preparations since Glaurung was sighted approaching from the north. You did not believe Turin and the elves could defeat the great dragon in direct combat. There were too many possible outcomes, and Turin did not have a plan if things went wrong.
Celebrimbor felt awful to see you in distress, but when you told him it was up to you two to come up with a plan to keep the people of Nargothrond safe if your brother failed in his assault, he was ready to help.
You were familiar with Nargothrond's many caverns, and you knew some of them led outside. In the worst-case scenario, you could use the path to take Nargothrond’s people outside the city and to safety.
Celebrimbor supported the idea and since he had some people who decided to stay with him rather than leave with his father and uncle when they were banished. You two managed to make quick work clearing out the secret path till the day you dreaded finally arrived.
To your sorrow, Gwindor had decided to join the battle with Turin and King Orodreth. You begged him to stay as you knew he would die if he went with your brother’s plan. Unfortunately, Gwindor loved your brother as much as he loved you, even if your brother caused him trouble and the end of his relationship with Finduilas. Gwindor only looked at you sorrowfully and asked you to keep Finduilas safe if things went as you predicted.
At that moment when you watched him ride away with your brother and the rest of the army as they left to confront the dragon, you hated your brother more than anyone. Celebrimbor only knew to hold you close as the tears fell from your eyes. He wanted to give you time to collect yourself, but since time was against you, he had to encourage you to get ready. You wiped your tears, controlling yourself, and you two started gathering the people for the worst.
When you and Celebrimbor prepared for the possible assault on Nargothrond, for a moment, you had false hope that Turin’s plan might have worked and you were being overly cautious, but when you felt the earth beneath you crumble with something that sounded like a heavy earthquake and heard the horns of the orcs instead of the elven, you knew that your prediction of the battle had come true.
However, Glaurung and his army of orcs had come quicker than you expected, and the doors were not strong enough to withstand the dragon’s power, so you and Celebrimbor were left defending Nargothrond’s people as they escaped through the secret path. You two tried to help as many as you could, but unfortunately, most of Nargothrond’s people were either killed or taken by the orcs.
Glaurung then turned his gaze upon you, making you freeze in fear as you looked into those golden eyes once more. He looked surprised to see you but then laughed in mockery as he began taunting you, telling how your brother fled from the battle and made this chaos possible. You were utterly frozen as his voice echoed in your ears, your hands began to shake around your blades, and your body refused your commands to move.
When Celebrimbor saw your state, he tried to run to you and take you away from the dragon, but then Glaurung struck him with his claws, making him fly into a wall and bleed from his now-open wound, the claws of the dragon having gone through his armor. The dragon laughed at his futile attempt and then opened his maws, ready to devour Feanor’s grandson.
Celebrimbor prepared to face death, but then you sprung into action, having freed yourself from the dragon’s gaze. You plunged your blade into the dragon’s eye, making him pull back with a pained scream. You held on to the handle of your blade, pulling yourself over the dragon’s head and stabbing its eyes with fury.
The dragon trashed and shook its head, trying to throw you off. Celebrimbor felt a speck of admiration for your courage and fear when he saw the dragon sprinting outside, taking you to the bridge. He followed and watched as Glaurung began breathing fire toward everything, destroying his forces, who scattered to avoid his blinded rage. You held on to your dear life as you couldn’t let go, or you would end up being tossed off the bridge.
Glaurung’s trashing and firing began damaging the bridge’s structure. The well-built bridge began to collapse under the weight. Celebrimbor then watched in horror as you fell along into the river beneath with the dragon.
“(Name)!” Celebrimbor screamed.
You looked back at him one last time before the mist took you from his sight, and all he could hear was a loud crash and the one final scream of the dragon before it became silent.
The assault was halted as the orcs could no longer cross the river to the city. There were some orcs inside, but enough for his people to handle. Nargothrond's people were safe to leave through the secret path.
Celebrimbor heard someone approaching him and saw it was your brother. Turin asked what had happened since he did not expect the bridge to be destroyed, and Glaurung’s attack halted, but Celebrimbor did not care to answer. He left the bridge and began ascending into the river, where you had fallen.
At the bottom of the bridge, Glaurung’s body had blocked the flow of the river, and the stones from the bridge were scattered around the riverbank. Celebrimbor found you lying beside the dead beast, blood flowing down from your body with the river, unmoving.
“(Name)!” he cradled you in his arms, finding several wounds, most likely punctured by the several rocks during your fall, and you hissed when he touched certain spots, no doubt having suffered broken bones.
You looked at him, pale and shivering from the cold. You mustered the strength to glance at the ring you made for him on his finger before looking at him.
“You’re not hurt, are you? Please tell me you’re not hurt?” you asked with a shivering tone.
Celebrimbor would have shaken his head if you weren’t so injured. Even in your most vulnerable state, you cared more about him than yourself. But he could not deny answering when he saw your nearly desperate pleading eyes.
“I’m alright. I’m not hurt anywhere else,” Celebrimbor said as he had managed to stop the bleeding from his wound moments ago. He inspected your wounds. He was struck with festering sorrow. You would not live long enough to receive help.
You smiled even when blood was trailing down from your lips. “I’m glad…” you uttered, nearly closing your eyes. “Please stay with me…” Celebrimbor held you close, starting to shed tears. He knew you would not survive but couldn’t help but hold on to that tingle of hope.
“I’m sorry… I want to… but I’m afraid I’m too broken to be healed even by elven magic,” you weakly said. “I’m happy, though…” you said, holding his hand where the ring you made for him still lay. “I didn’t screw up this time… and the beast of my nightmares is finally dead,” you said, glancing toward the dead dragon.
“Please go… it’s not safe here,” you said, lying your head against his chest. Celebrimbor held you, unable to answer. “And leave you alone… dream on,” he uttered, making you chuckle. “Thank you…” your voice fell quiet as you enjoyed the warmth.
“(I love you, my bravest),” Celebrimbor uttered the words he had kept to himself for so long.
“(I love you too, my brightest star)” you uttered back before Celebrimbor heard your last breath, and your hand fell cold in his hand.
The pain in his chest was intense. He lets his once proud self weep as he holds on to your now cold body. He did not know why he sometimes forgot you could speak his language fluently, but now learning that you had loved him in return all this time only made the pain worse.
He did not even hear the voice of Turin or some of his people who had come to fetch him and witness your death. He nearly did not want to.
His people had convinced him to come with them, but he could not bring himself to leave you alone in the river, so he carried you to your favorite hill where you liked to gaze at the world around you. There, Celebrimbor laid you to rest.
His heart was left barren after your death. The regret of not telling his feelings for you sooner haunted him.
He needed his people to guide him as he was still numb by your loss. Turin was grieved by your death even if he didn’t show it. He left to find Finduilas, who was taken by the orcs with other prisoners who didn’t manage to escape, and that was the last of him.
Celebrimbor knew he shouldn't blame your brother, but since you knew the outcome and your brother convinced his people to build the bridge and face the enemy directly, he couldn’t help but feel resentment toward him. If he had listened, then maybe Nargothrond wouldn’t have fallen, and you would still be alive.
Your death caused him immense sorrow. Each day he wondered what he could have done to change the outcome, and it felt like he was falling deeper and deeper into the dark depths that tempted him to let go and perhaps in certain hopes to join you in death, but your ring gave him strength to continue and live for the remaining people who had come to see him as their leader. And certain times, he would dream of you, and you would assure him, which gave him strength.
The first age passed swiftly, and soon he had become the lord of Eregion and the last surviving member of his house. He never imagined himself as a leader after his father and the rest of his relatives, but he had achieved that. He still missed how you would suddenly pop into the forges to hide from attending feasts and simply talk to him. The forges never felt more empty to him before. He even made a spot for you where you would start doing one of your handcrafts even if it always remained empty.
He protected the spike ring so it wouldn’t snap or get destroyed. And when he would notice a wire lose, he would try everything in his power to repair it even going as far as trying to imbue magic to make it durable, but he was always afraid of breaking it. It was his last memory of you.
When Annatar arrived in his city, his friendship and guidance in forging the rings of power had helped Celebrimbor out of the sadness a little. He still thought of you but sometimes felt tired, especially when others began warning him about his new friend, which he did not understand.
However, as time passed, the anniversary of your death arrived. It was one of those times when he would light one of your favorite scented candles and look into the starry sky. It was a moment where he wished to be alone and think in peace. However, Annatar had come to him and disturbed his peace. It was perhaps one of the only times he was not pleased with his friend’s inquiry and presence, but he remained polite.
The two talked, Annatar curiously asking about his tradition of lighting up the candle and looking at the stars. Celebrimbor spoke about you and how you two used to do it together when you were still alive. He talked about you fondly while thinking of the memories you shared while keeping most private, not wanting to overshare.
He shared how you died protecting him from Glaurung, and for a moment, he felt a change in his friend’s tone. It was subtle but not unnoticeable.
Annatar spoke sympathetically and proceeded to touch his hand, only to pull back with a hiss. Celebrimbor was startled when he saw his friend bleeding from his finger, but when he mentioned that he poked it on the ring on his finger. Celebrimbor became cautious, remembering what you had once said about the ring — about how the ring would make those who wish him harm bleed upon touch. The ring was not sharp enough to cause wounds, yet it had made Annatar bleed.
He remained worried till Annatar assured him it was just a wound. He wondered why he would keep such a sharp ring, and Celebrimbor told him off while finally starting to believe that his friend might not be who he claimed to be.
Celebrimbor took heed of the warnings he had once received from Galadriel and Gil-galad and began observing Annatar, who still seemed like usual. Celebrimbor tried to figure out what was wrong, but his friend either had a convincing act or maybe he was overthinking it. The only suspicious thing he could find was that his friend would often leave for trips and not tell where he would go these times.
He nearly believed he was simply overthinking it, but he couldn’t bring himself to ignore it either. Your ring making Annatar bleed felt like a warning.
He finally got his answer when Annatar revealed himself as Sauron and destroyed his city. He was taken captive, and Sauron tortured him, trying to make him reveal the location of the three elven rings he had made in secret. Out of anger and pride, he refused, and each time his torture only got worse.
His only comfort was your ring. They couldn’t remove your ring from his hand. Each time they would try, the ring would make their hands bleed, and they would pull back in pain. It gave Celebrimbor certain joy since it felt like you were still protecting him, but he could not help but dread they might take his hand next.
When his exhaustion took a toll on him, he dreamed of you. You suddenly appeared to him in his cell. He did not first figure out that it was a dream, so he was scared and worried Sauron would capture you. You stubbornly refused and helped him out of his binds, taking him out of the dungeons. You lead him through the rocky maze and to a flowing river. You told him it was his way out, and the dream ended, making him realize what he had seen.
He did not first comprehend the meaning of his dream till he saw a chance to escape. He escaped his binds and took down the guards before making it through a familiar maze and to the river he saw in his dream.
He did not know what to do next as the dream had ended. He tried to figure out how the river was going to be his escape till he turned around and felt an arrow through his shoulder. Sauron stood with his orcs. Sauron expressed how disappointed he was before signaling his orcs to shoot him down.
Celebrimbor felt the second arrow pierce him, and the third one was the final that sent him falling into the river. In his last moments, Celebrimbor watched as your ring glowed and then broke, making him watch in horror as he was then finally taken by the river.
Yet death was not what he found in the river.
Struggling to pull himself out of the water, Celebrimbor groaned as he crawled out of the river, having been carried miles away from Sauron and his forces. Exhausted, he then flopped down on his back on the rocky beach.
He stared at the sky, wondering how he had survived. The arrows had left his bleeding wounds in the river, but they were not fatal enough. He could even survive them once he found help.
He then turned his head toward his hand, where your broken ring lay. The twists had been untangled, making it look like a tangled thick wire. He held onto it tight, afraid to lose it. He broke down in tears, unable to hold down his sorrow.
“Oh, my love… even in death, you had protected me,” he uttered as he held the broken ring close to his heart.

*Y/N listens to the sound of tinkering in the forges while she approaches with some lunch, knowing that she will find Tyelpe hard at work*
Y/N: Tyelpe, beloved, come have some- *blinks, wide-eyed and blushes, letting out a squeak of embarassment at the angry red scratch marks she left on Tyelpe's back from last night that are not covered by the apron*

Notified of your sudden squeak and presence, he spun around with his hammer in hand, ready to throw it at the perpetrator causing your discomfort. Instead, he was met with a flustered lover standing with their hand covering their mouth and widened eyes while caring a tray of treats. “Mírë, is everything alright? Why do you appear shocked?”

Celebrimbor x Reader
1.8k words
Request: I absolutely love your work. Was wondering about a Celebrimbor x reader where they are new parents in valinor. (Family barging in is a bonus, lol)
A/N: So I know you were probably looking for something that was more sappy and affectionate but to break the monotony around writing the same thing over again, I wanted to share what it is like to have PPD and shed some light on that. As someone who has had it, I don't think it's talked about enough. I thought this would be a good prompt for Mental Health Awareness Month.
* * *
Something was wrong, and you knew it from the moment the high of your child being placed on your chest from delivery wore off.
Yet you hadn’t said anything to Celebrimbor, at first it made you happy and filled your heart with joy to see him holding your little one. The way he cradled them close to his chest and the way he whispered and spoke so softly to them. Fawning over everything about them, their black wispy hair, the stork bites on their forehead, their tiny fingers and toes.
He loved to watch you nurse and hovered, and though the experience was painful Celebrimbor was on board and ready to help you with any and everything- lanolin application, massaging your chest to help break up the rock hard pain of engorgement, bringing you water and snacks often to keep up with your supply.
You couldn’t have asked for a better partner, one who didn’t cringe at the sight of the blood when you leaked through pads who helped mix the remedies to ease the dull pain in a place… well that you couldn’t have thought were possible to experience there. Let alone he took your little one the moment it was clear you needed rest and they were satisfied.
Admittedly in those moments when he left the room to let you sleep you could do everything but sleep. Finding yourself openly weeping in silence over the fact that everything felt so wrong.
You weren’t happy to be a new parent.
You cringed at every cry your sweet little one made, you feared constantly you were hurting them, you wondered why you couldn’t nurse correctly and without pain. You wished nothing more to be a good parent. But you felt as if you weren’t capable of that.
You couldn’t bring yourself to smile when you were handed the baby, all you could do was stare at them and wonder why you were their parent. Wondering why it was you Eru chose to give this blessing, when you were struggling to feel grateful for the gift you had for them.
You loved them immensely and for that reason it felt like you should just leave. Leave them and Celebrimbor, it was selfish. But you felt like staying when you couldn’t be a good parent was even worse, you didn’t understand what was wrong with you.
Why you were always so sad and questioning your every move, you felt like an utter failure and like you wouldn’t be able to raise a capable elf in society if you couldn’t get it together. You felt as though you couldn’t tell Celebrimbor what was going on with you, in fear that he’d judge you and you suspected in fear that he’d take the baby from you. That he’d think that you were crazy and incapable of being a parent, and you didn’t want to face that reality of someone else confirming what you already knew.
Unbeknownst to you, Celebrimbor was no fool when it came to your strange behavior. He saw the constant sadness in your eyes, the way you looked at the child you two shared. The fear, the hurt, the confusion. It was no secret no matter how hard you tried to hide it from him… And try as you might to cry in silence in your room… Celebrimbor would sit at the door unsure how to comfort you and what to do to help you.
So he did the only thing he knew to do, and ask his father and mother for help.
You were sitting on the sofa in your sitting room, the little one nursing on your chest as you leaned back and stared quietly at the ceiling. You clutched the little one close to your chest, scared if you loosened your grip you’d drop them, before Celebrimbor came around into the room with a glass of water and fresh cut up fruit.
Your elfling made a little grunt before pulling off your chest and Celebrimbor reached over to help you cover up as he took his seat next to you. Suddenly his arm came around you when he finished and he pulled you in close to his chest. Allowing for you to readjust how you held the baby, before he pressed a kiss to your temple.
“Y/N.” Celebrimbor began to speak to you in a gentle voice, it felt like it had been so long since he had been so tender and gentle in speaking with you. Oft times you felt like you were two passing ships in the night that only had time for one another if it involved the baby.
“Can I be honest with you?” He asked softly, as his hand gently caressed your arm watching as you brought the blanket a little higher on the baby. Making sure to keep them warm, only to hear them grunt out a little bit and shift before they sighed against your chest.
You on the other hand felt fear course through you at his words. Oh no you thought, he noticed how bad of a parent you were, how awful you were to them and clearly unable to tend to them correctly and struggled. He was going to take the baby from you, but you were quiet. Not saying anything before you finally nodded.
“I am worried about you mírë.” He whispered softly to you and he felt you tense up underneath his touch.
“What do you mean?” You asked in a whisper, trying not to get defensive with him. You didn’t want him to know anything was wrong with you. But Celebrimbor continued to hold you, remembering some of what his mother had instructed him to do to help comfort you, along with the fact that they’d be there soon enough to help.
“Y/N, mírë, I know something is wrong. You barely sleep or eat, you are never happy… I have heard you weep at times you are supposed to be napping… You barely take care of yourself, my love.” There wasn’t a tone of judgment or harsh criticism in his voice as he spoke to you, only giving you a snug squeeze and it made tears well in your eyes.
It had been so obvious that you were a failure, he noticed all of it. And now you feared he’d leave you over it, so you sniffled trying to keep from being any more of a mess than you felt like you were.
“I’m sorry…” Was all you could think to say as you began to cry, and Celebrimbor was quick to gently get down on his knees in front of you. His hands coming to cup your face, with his thumbs gently swiping away the tears that kept coming.
“It is alright, Y/N…” Celebrimbor whispered out in a soft coo,
“Everything is going to be alright.” He said to you gently, which only made you cry harder. How could anything be alright when you couldn’t be a good parent or partner? How could he possibly thing that anything was going to be okay? Especially when you couldn’t see anything good that could happen.
“How?” You whimpered out softly, trying not to take in a shing inhale.
“Everything feels so wrong, I don’t feel like a good parent. Like I am incapable, I am just going to mess up everything, Tyelpë.” You began in a sob, and Celebrimbor ached to hear you admit that you were struggling so badly.
“I am a terrible parent, I can’t even be happy that we had a baby.” You sobbed out to him, and Celebrimbor felt his heart break for you. Gently he stood on his knees to lean over and kiss you on the forehead. Lingering for a long moment as he closed his eyes, trying to reassure himself that everything was going to be fixed an it was all going to be okay.
“You are not a terrible parent, mírë… I promise.” He whispered against your skin before he finally pulled away to sit back down to look at you and offer you a small smile. Trying to reassure you it would all be okay and that it would get better.
“Ammë and Atya are going to come and help. Ammë has been through what you are going through, Y/N. She will be able to help and get you set up with a Healer okay?” Celebrimbor said to you in a soft voice, and no sooner than he said the words did his parents seem to appear out of thin air.
His mother looked at you with sympathy as she could see the tears staining your cheeks,
“Tyelpë, take the baby.” His mother said to him softly, and without second guessing it he did so, you gently let him. Not fighting him on it at all, while his mother gently pushed him out of the way, coming down to grab your hands and pull you off the couch gently and into an embrace. You could hear your father in law walking around to Celebrimbor, mumbling something about seeing his grandchild.
You buried your face into his mother’s arms, resting your head on her shoulder as you cried. Her hands rubbing your back, before you felt Celebrimbor’s hand come to your shoulder.
“It’s okay, it’s going to be okay, Y/N.” His mother said gently before kissing your hair. Giving you a warm and loving squeeze,
“We will stay for a few days, help you get on your feet okay?” She said to you, and you nodded against her shoulder holding close to her, while Celebrimbor continued to rub your shoulder. For a moment you felt okay, like everything was going to be okay again and you sighed out in relief. Knowing that you and Celebrimbor wouldn’t be doing this all by yourself.
“Come on, let me help get you into a hot shower… That always made me feel better. Curvo and Tyelpë can tend to the baby, and help pick up some so you aren’t scrambling to do it when you get out okay?” She said as you pulled away from her nodding your head at her words, sniffling as your tears finally started to come to a halt.
“Okay.” You looked up at his mother see her give you a soft smile her hands coming to your arms to rub lovingly. It wasn’t that Celebrimbor wasn’t good enough, it was that you didn’t feel good enough for him, and to suddenly have his and his families support… It well… meant everything to you. And to hear that his mother had been through something like this?
Well you thought everything was perfectly fine for her… But you could see it got better.
“And tomorrow we will get a healer here so we can get started on your care, now come let me help you into the shower.” She said to you gently putting her arm around you and beginning to pull you along towards the main bathroom.
Finally there was a light at the end of this painful tunnel, and you felt like you could breathe with their support. You couldn’t be anymore grateful and were more than ready to get to feeling better so you could enjoy your husband and your newborn.

The Judge of Fates (Celebrimbor x Reader)
Tumblr media
Pairing: Celebrimbor x Human Reader
Genre: ✨Conversational brooding✨
Summary: "Both elves and men despise you. An agent of corruption, they call you." You are surprised by the amount of words Celebrimbor utters in one sentence. "Does it scare you?" Celebrimbor looks into your eyes as he continues, "Whatever end awaits you?"
AN: Of all the scorn that the world has directed toward sex workers and prostitutes, they too are people. And there have been so many instances in both history and literature that I have found them better than any other character. So writing them more than their profession is always a pleasure.
Tumblr media
"Is your soul truly condemned by the One?"
Even with your eyes glued to the horizon, you know the speaker. How could you not after all not many in these halls dare talk to you. "Do you believe it to be?" You ask the elf next to you. "What does it seem like to you King of Eregion?"
Celebrimbor is quiet next to you. His words are rare. Even in the halls of Mandos Celebrimbor is a recluse. He avoids the company of his kin. Evading the sight of anyone and everyone.
Maybe it is the guilt of his creation that bears him down with the weight of the entire Arda. Or maybe it is the fear of fate that makes him cower from all.
Even the gallant King of Eregion, who did not break under the dark lord's torture, is crumbling amidst the halls of healing and respite.
But there is one whose presence he seeks. A measly human, a soul who resists the fate after death. Lingering on the edges of the halls of Mandos, Celebrimbor finds you.
"Both elves and men despise you. An agent of corruption, they call you." You are surprised by the amount of words Celebrimbor utters in one sentence. "Does it scare you?" Celebrimbor looks into your eyes as he continues, "Whatever end awaits you?"
You break away from the Feanorian's he would hate to know your address of him in your thoughts intense gaze. "Did you perhaps encounter human priests on your way here?" You light-heartedly ask the elf who stares at you with a no-nonsense look.
As the merchant of pleasure, you had been subject to many gazes. Some full of lust, desire, fleeting affections, or even disgust. But this felt foreign to all you knew. "I am not scared. Nor do I fear my fate. Why would I take the words of some men over the words of the creator."
"If true to the words of the clergy, that believe to know the God's words, all the prostitutes are doomed to burn in the fires of hell, then so would every lover who has performed the act of love. Doomed would-be farmers, soldiers, priests, all who have performed their duties.
While Celebrimbor's stares seldom give away any emotion, today they seem to carry his approval. Yet, the Feanorian elf continues with his impromptu interrogation. "Then what keeps you tethered to these halls? Are you not eager to prove all who have mocked you, wrong?" The Noldo shines with a mellow silver glow.
"Like a farmer nurtures barren soil into grains of life, like soldiers bleed onto fleeting sand to strengthen the foundation of empires, like a priest recites daily prayers for the welfare of the world. We, prostitutes, burn our bodies for the pleasure of others."
You barely conceal your smile as you spot a slight frown on your conversation partner's forehead. Not the most patient bunch these Noldo.
The animation in his expression tells you that the days of his healing are not far. Soon the brave king of Eregion would re-enter his world. Pleased you decide to treat your friend to the answer to his question. "I await my last client. Only after his comfort is assured can I move on."
You step closer to the flickering image of your impatient conversation partner. With a gentle tap, your finger traces his forehead "Pleasure of mind," trailing your finger near the beating heart, "pleasure of heart," Celebrimbor remains frozen as you stare into his literal soul. "And the pleasure of soul," you mutter into the thin air separating you both.
"I too would leave once he does." No question follows your answer.

May I please request Celebrimbor x reader for the Christmas fic prompt: 🎅 Secret Santa (Modern AU only)? Just something sweet and fluffy please - Thank you!
Tumblr media
Oooh… my first Celebrimbor request!
Pairing: Modern! Celebrimbor x Reader (second person POV)
Themes: Soft/Fluff
Warnings: None
Wordcount: 900+ words
Summary: During the annual staff Christmas party, you find out who your Secret Santa is.
Minors DNI
Banner by @estrelinha-s
Tumblr media
Celebrimbor stood before the tree, admiring it. “It looks splendid,” he remarked, and he smiled. “And just in time for the party too. Do you know who your Secret Santa is?”
You didn’t know. Whoever it was, they took great care not to reveal themselves even after many of the others had done so and exchanged gifts. You had given a gift too, but your own gift was nowhere to be seen, much like the person who drew your name. Perhaps it was a surprise. Perhaps they were waiting until after the party was over.
Or perhaps they did not wish to give a gift. The notion soured your mood. Still, you managed a smile for your colleague.
“Truth be told, I don’t,” you replied, admiring the tree alongside him. It was so tall that it nearly touched the ceiling. And its scent—the entire office smelled glorious because of it. Dull golden light twinkled between its branches. Delicate glass baubles clung to them on thin strips of silver ribbon. The baubles were Celerbrimbor’s work. Light to the touch and as clear as spring-fed water, they were beautiful to behold. “But I’m hoping they make themselves known before long.”
“Indeed.” Celebrimbor offered his arm and led you to the lunchroom for the party.
There was food aplenty, and soft drinks for anyone who had a thirst for it. Employees nibbled on sandwiches and delicate pastries and little petit fours and pâté and cheese. Everyone talked and laughed, and discussed plans for the holidays. Some sat down on sofas and chairs. Others congregated at the windows. The city was awash in cheery colors that cut the chilling white of the snow. Most of the offices and shops had already closed for the season. Others were on the verge of doing so. The forge you worked for, the only one for miles and miles on end, was about to do the same.
Celebrimbor brought you a cup of coffee. The heat was a welcomed relief from the icy drinks on offer.
“Thank you,” you said, looking up at him, studying him keenly. “And what are your plans for the holidays?”
“Stay with my old man.” Celebrimbor made a face. And yet, his eyes twinkled with amusement. “And the literal horde of uncles and half-uncles and half-aunts and cousins that are all going to descend on Grandpa’s house for the holidays.”
House, he says. Finwë’s house was a mansion, the likes of which few had seen. It was large enough to hold his ever-growing family, and a great many more besides.
“I’m sure there are still some places for you to hide.”
“I doubt it. Besides, Uncle Tyelko would make it his mission to find me if I vanished into another corner of the house.”
“Yes,” you agreed. “But will he reveal your hiding place to the others?”
“Huh.” Celebrimbor tilted his head to one side, as if he was thinking. “Come to think of it, no. Not really. Knowing Uncle Tyelko, he might ask if there’s room enough for him and the twins too.”
You nearly choked on your coffee. Celebrimbor laughed, then reached into his pocket for a handkerchief. “There’s a bit of coffee here,” he said, and he dabbed the corner of your chin. “Wait. Let me clean it.”
Someone played Christmas music. People joined in by singing. Some deliberately changed the words for other, more playful variants. Laughter rose and fell in turns, even as the snow began to fall again. Celebrimbor then linked his arms around yours.
“Come with me, y/n,” was all he said.
The sounds of the party slowly faded into the distance as he led you down one empty office room after another, until the two of you reached a little nook that had been as lit up as the rest of the office.
“Stay here,” he insisted, “and close your eyes. Do not open them until I tell you to do so.”
A strange sense of suspicion drowned out any giddy anticipation you would have felt. Why would Celebrimbor take you to an empty part of the office? Why did he ask you to wait and close your eyes? It made no sense. Not unless he had a surprise, of course, and not unless he was—
No, you told yourself. It cannot be him.
You refused to believe it. Celebrimbor could not possibly be your Secret Santa. He would have said something if he was. He would have given you your gift by now. Surely he would have given a hint, at the very least.
“Here you go, y/n. Merry Christmas.” His rich, deep voice cut through every thought you had. Startled, you opened your eyes and found him standing before you with a small, prettily wrapped box in his hand.
You accepted the proffered gift, flustered and surprised and thrilled all at once. The box was small enough to fit inside your handbag, but it was still heavy. Unable to help yourself, you rip up the paper, much to his amusement. Then you lifted the lid.
What you found inside took your breath away. Nestled amidst red and green tissue paper, was a brooch, all gold and crystal, and so so beautiful.
“Uncle Fëanor helped me,” Celebrimbor explained, then hesitated. “Is it too much? Do you like it?”
“This is the most beautiful thing I have ever seen,” you reply, both overwhelmed and deeply touched. “Thank you. A thousand times, thank you.”
The smile that rose in return was even more breathtaking than the jewel in your palm.

House of Feanor | Having A Human S/O
Tumblr media
Request: Can i request a feanorian group headcannon about having a human lover? — @misfortunateleprechaun
A/N: I couldn’t resist including a short reader in the mix because I know most of us are tiny beside these elves :)
Tumblr media
Fëanor
Curious to learn all there is about you. Whether you’re naturally short, how you age, your life span, your features, culture, linguistics, everything, you name it. And when he does, it pushes for him to become even more intrigued with YOU.
Wants to follow you around as much as possible. Just picture a short you and a giant elf nearly 8ft trailing behind you asking millions of questions or silently observing you in your natural world.
Understands that humans are delicate and much more breakable than elves, so he treats you with the same care as he does for his jewels. You are fragile and deserve the utmost protection and care.
With that being said, you are not spared from being blessed with the great riches he is endowed with. Showers upon showers of gifts bestowed to make your mortal lifespan enjoyable and full of luxuries.
An enjoyment of his would be your vast size difference, as would all the elves when you lie, sit or walk beside him. Even when he needs to make jewellery, he marvels at the sizes and concludes that you are no larger than an elfling.
He will keep to himself knowing how you react when being compared to an elf child…or he might mention it because he enjoys your responses and phrases unheard of to elven ears.
Feanor takes great pride in having you as his S/O and accepts no criticism from anyone. He adores you with every fibre of his being and will worship the ground you walk on.
Tumblr media
Maedhros
“Why are you so tiny, unlike other mortals I have come across?” That would be words spoken to himself upon meeting you because he’s already a freaking giant. It’s worse when you must stand on objects to meet this over-eight-foot-tall figure.
Holds out his hand and watches as you wrap your entire hand around two of his fingers. He has to bite his lip to hold back the laughter, because you attempt to guide him, and it looks like a child leading him off to Eru knows where.
Prefers when you sleep on his chest while (awake) he reads or relaxes on the balcony. Never allows you to close when you’re sharing the same bed and he’s sleeping. Do you want to go flying through a window with one of his kicks? You’re fragile babes, sleep on the floor.
Deep down, he believes that you deserve a lover who doesn’t have to place a restrain on everything they’re doing to prevent hurting you…physically. Play fights are a thing that happens rarely because you once knocked your own hand on the bedpost, and he blamed himself for forgetting your fragility.
With that being said, he gets worried about you when you accidentally injure yourself because you’re a mortal…soft, squishy and delicate. Please, don’t make him wrap you in the duvets like a burrito for your safety.
Since your lifespan is shorter than his, Maedhros’ main goal is to in ensure as much peace can be granted in your life. Takes you to the most scenic places around Beleriand or just nearby Himring and keeps you far away from his brothers, minus Maglor. Gives you a Shetland pony to ride for the kicks of it and watches as you fold.
He doesn’t seem to understand how you joke so easily about ageing and grimaces every time you crack a joke about your soon-to-be wrinkled appearance or increased fragility. You’re set to give him the heart attack instead of you.
Loves to compare your size to an elfling and jokes about having to purchase ready-made clothes in the children’s section for you.
Tumblr media
Maglor
Humoured by your size and delicacy, and equally motherly as Maedhros. Henning over every little accident with a read-to-scold expression on his face and incoherent words spilling out his mouth about needing to cover you from head to toe.
Maglor adores your compliments when he sings for you or writes sonnets or poems. He understands that his species differ greatly from humans, hence his voice would sound ethereal to your ears, sparking grand praises. It tickles his ego and spurs him into never-ending songs because he lives for your praises.
Adores carrying you around because you’re as light as a feather and he could lift you with his pinkie finger. Sit on his shoulders, piggyback rides, cling to his legs or chest as he walks around his fort and ignores all the strange looks his servants are giving him.
He’s someone who respects humans and mortal life, so at no point would he ever allow you to feel insignificant compared to his elven nature. Hates to hear you ill-speak your mortality or even condemn the relationship to failure because of your differences.
Still hesitant when it comes to playfighting and unlike a certain brother, he wouldn’t scold himself for your injury. However, he would still engage and quickly dissolve everything to cuddles or a nap.
Sleep atop his chest and he’ll fawn because you look so tiny and feel weightless. One time you both fell asleep, however, Maglor forgot you were sleeping on his chest (because you’re so light), so when he rolled, you fell right off the bed.
Surprisingly cool with your human ageing jokes, especially the wrinkly potato ones. Sometimes he’ll cruise in with an affectionate joke to make you swoon about being his favourite potato.
Tumblr media
Celegorm
It takes a long time to get it into his head that you’re delicate because, in his mind, he saw you performing hundreds of daredevil stunts, why stop the fun for safety purposes. Wherever Tyelko is, you are curled up under his arm like a sleeping bag being carried around on his adventure.
If he’s riding a horse large enough to carry an elf, then so are you—doesn’t matter if you’re four or five feet. If you fit, you sit. However, you prefer to ride Huan because he understands your comfort and safety more than Tyelko does.
Playfighting to the roughness degree and be prepared to end up in the healer’s room sporting bruises or a sprained joint, he’ll even lie down on you. He has an affinity for challenging you to your limits, solely because it’s thrilling to him. “Try lifting me off the bed and walking to the door.” (you collapsed under his beefy body)
As big and scary as he appears, start coughing or having a fever and watch as he crumples like a left. Clingy and never leaves your side the entire duration you’re resting or in the healer’s room.
Acts as though you’re going to die in the blink of an eye from a single sneeze and the next thing you know, he’s praying that you survive your common cold when the healers have informed him that you’re alright.
In addition, he’s the perfect teddy bear for a cold night with all those muscles he has going on. The issue is his ability to cuddle to the highest degree. You cannot escape his cuddle grip, even if you need to pee.
Tyelko has confidence that’s out of this world, so no one can attempt to shun or berate your relationship, not even mock him for choosing a human to be his S/O over an elf. Celegorm makes it clear that you’re his choice and he’s proud to have you.
Tumblr media
Caranthir
Someone who admires you day by day and how easily you overcome obstacles without lamenting the way his race does. For a human, you are quite fiery and able to keep up with his pace of living, though he prefers that you relax while he lavishes you.
Vocal about his appreciation towards you in private as you lay in his chambers on the sofa or bed, cuddling. Like his siblings, he prefers that you lay atop him, refusing to even displace an ounce of weight for fear of crushing you.
Spoils you, spoils you, spoils you more than you could even imagine because he wants your life to be filled with comfort and luxuries before your end. Complaining about how much he spoils you is like kicking a puppy.
The only thing you cannot do is tear this elf away from his duties when he’s locked away in his studies deciding who to conduct his next trade with. He’s married to his work and then you.
This brings me to you easily clinging to his body because you wish for him to stay in bed longer. All he does is roll his eyes at your antics and continue to walk around the room while you disguise yourself as a backpack.
Sneeze and there’s a deafening silence that follows before a grumpy Caranthir paces out of the room to call for the healers. You are not permitted to go anywhere, basically bedroom arrest. You want water, food, more blankets; he’s there. Want to go for a walk, sure; he’ll walk you around the room.
As much as he admires your resilience as a human being to the harsh reality of life, many of your natural occurrences terrify him due to rumours of terrible endings for others. So, expect the protectiveness to go up a few notches.
Tumblr media
Curufin
Everyone was surprised that he had a human lover when he strolled into a ball with you decked out in jewellery from head to toe. Poor you were trying to breathe under the weight of the gemstones breaking your neck.
Curufin isn’t any different in my dating him headcanons with the addition of his protectiveness increasing. He loves to use it as an excuse to tag along with you anywhere when he really wants to spend time together (what a tsundere).
Finds himself confused at all your human terminologies because how can “Break a leg” or “Knock ‘em dead” mean best of luck. “You humans are strange with your words, why can’t you just say what you mean.” – Curufin
Finds your excitement and expressive manner endearing given elves’ lack of facial expressions and enjoys bestowing all sorts of gifts upon you just to witness your reactions. He finds them better than the simple use of words when accepting his creations.
Less inclined to school you like his father, but still peppers you with indirect questions to learn more about humans and their odd differences from elves. If you’re female, then be prepared to blow his mind with talks of your menstruation. He considers you a brave warrior for going through that every month.
Curufin doesn’t like talks of how your lifespan is short and you’re bound to die soon, and you tend to use this to your advantage when you want your way.  “But what if tomorrow doesn’t come, and I don’t get to eat chocolate cake? You should let me eat it now, so you don’t regret not letting me.”
(Tries) Keeps you away from Tyelko because he’s a terrible influencer and causes the majority of your injuries which sends Curufin into cardiac arrest. If Curufin has never shown much emotion in his life, it was the moment he learnt that you were in the healing rooms.
Tumblr media
Amrod
Excited because he has someone to love him, but heartbroken about your shortened lifespan, which means he’s going to cram all his years of adventure into your lifespan so it can be shared with you.
Every morning, he walks you up with a brilliant smile as warm as the sun before dragging you out of bed to go hiking or host a breakfast picnic while the sun rises (sorry if you hate waking up early).
You are not spared from his pranks or the confusion between him and his twin when Amras decides to trick you. Aware that you are human and more breakable than elves, but he’s still going to engage in roughhousing or lying half his body atop yours so you cannot go anywhere.
As I had mentioned before, he’s touch–starved being the youngest bunch in the family with less attention being directed. So when you entered the picture, as a human, it was natural for you to be overly affectionate which stunned him. Never before had Amrod believed that he was capable of receiving so much love.
He doesn’t care about the fact that elves aren’t physically affectionate, he accepts every hug, kiss and touch you gift him. He considers them your greatest gift, second to finding you.
Already protective of his younger brother, so it’s natural when you enter the picture. Prefers being your bodyguard so he can spend every second with you, never allowing for there to be a moment when you aren’t together.
I have mentioned that he’s into woodcarving, so you can expect figurines of you and him (more you) to appear before your door in beautifully wrapped boxes. You have a collection by now and can consider it a hobby thanks to Amrod.
Tumblr media
Amras
Prefers to spend all his time with you in tranquillity and away from his nosy and noisy family, including his twin who doesn’t understand the concept of personal space and attempts to chaperone each date.
The realisation of you being human doesn’t sink in for a long while because he’s pleased that he has someone whom he can love. Amras will be spending his dates surrounded by nature.
Waterfalls, hiking trails, rivers, ponds lakes or fields of flowers, you have seen it all in your human lifespan. Places you didn’t believe existed or could be viewed by the naked eye would be revealed to you.
Amras is more open to receiving affection from you and enjoys the lavish amounts you shower him in. He is stunned by the volume that humans are capable of delivering and how dependent they are on physical touch.
Like his brothers, Amras will shower you with tons of gifts, especially handcrafted ones. He is skilled in crocheting and competes with his brother for who can make the best look-alikes of their family. In between, you can expect to receive stuffed animals or a miniature of yourself.
Reaches out to his elder brother, Maedhros and Maglor for advice on how to date a human since they’re more aware of mortal mannerisms than him. It’s a cute sight to witness as Amras practices learning your mannerisms and culture so he can help you feel at home.
His major concern is ensuring that your time spent with him was the best years you’ve ever had in your entire life, and he was able to fulfil many of your wishes in the short space of time granted to you.
Tumblr media
Celebrimbor
Tyelpё would like to know what he has done to inherit a significant other in the first place. Forget that you’re human, he wants to know how you can choose a person like him after the history of bloodshed his family has left.
Like any normal relationship, he’s doing his best to control his temper and be as patient as possible. He would hate to make you go running for the hills with a terrible slip-up.
Eyes of a hawk at your every move, wanting to learn as much as possible with the stark differences between you in particular and him. He’s already aware of how indifferent elves and humans are, it’s just to learn your netiquettes and mannerisms.
Like his father, you will be gifted tons of jewellery—it’s his love language—with your neck breaking under the weight of the gems. Tyelpё adores seeing you decked out and looking like a disco ball; you’re his mannequin for his pieces.
As one who spent years in the forge, he’s far from small and will crush you under his weight. Thus, he’s cautious when cuddling or any form of play fighting. The last thing he needs to hear is that he injured you from his bulky muscles.
Please hold his hands and let him fawn over the size difference. You’re only able to hold two of his fingers when tugging him about the place when you’re eager to show him something.
Did someone say standing on chairs to meet his height? Yes, that is exactly what you would have to do because he’s a giant eight-foot elf. Or even parading around in his long robes pretending to be him? Yes.
Protective to a degree, but not as overprotective as his uncles since it’s the second age and let’s assume that our buddy hasn’t shown up yet to ruin the peace. Tyelpё will gladly allow you to roam freely without worrying about your safety tremendously and would even request that you return with treats.

Might have done this one before, anyway:
Merry: I`m thinking of doing someting stupid. Gil-Galad: I`m stupid, do me. The High King Gil-Galad: I said that out loud. Celebrimbor: I`m less stupid, but do me too.

Their love song (Taylor Swift edition) > The Rings of Power characters
a/n: welcome to my little self-indulgent celebration of 700 followers! 🥳 EVEN IF you're not a fan/don't know the songs, I hope you can still like and support this fic - a lot of time and love went into it! and by all means come talk to me about it or suggest your own songs! love you all so much and thank you for reading my stories and being a wonderful community 💕
HALBRAND ♡ cruel summer
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Please look at these lyrics and tell me it isn't just perfect for him!! You never really planned on falling for him, ever, but alas, something captivated you - his eyes looking down on you from a height difference, the way he seemed to understand you more than anyone else in certain moments, and how he was adamant to be around you. He was very cocky and confident when you admitted it at last.
ARONDIR ♡ peace
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Maybe you come from different backgrounds, but there is nothing that you wouldn't do for each other. He is very protective of you, but he is also cautious because he never wants you to be in danger because of him. Although your relationship can be judged negatively, the only important thing is what the two of you feel for one another - true love.
ELENDIL ♡ labyrinth
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Things haven't exactly been easy after his wife suddenly died, and he had mixed feelings about moving on; somehow, with you it was kind of effortless and unexpectedly natural. He struggled with it within himself for some time, but you were understanding and supportive the whole time, and he began feeling much better when he accepted his developing feelings for you.
CELEBRIMBOR ♡ lover
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Honestly, he kind of is a magnetic force, and he would also be a total romantic to his partner and spoil them in so many ways. Admittedly, he's lived through a lot of things and challenges, but ending up with you seemed like a reward at the end of everything, and he never wants to let you go.
GALADRIEL ♡ daylight
Tumblr media Tumblr media
She certainly has her struggles and her mind can be a very occupied place, so she really didn't expect to find captivating romantic love among all the mess. You bring brightness and warmth to her life like nobody else, and she lights up when she is around you, especially when the two of you are alone.
ISILDUR ♡ blank space
Tumblr media Tumblr media
He is still quite young and impulsive, and everything else that comes with it, and also naturally curious and a bit of a troublemaker - never a dull moment. When you two first met, you didn't think it would go anywhere, but quickly you fell for his reckless charm, and decided to give it a go anyways. It's a passionate and unpredictable relationship which can end at any time, but he is so wrapped around your finger that you highly doubt it.
VALANDIL ♡ sparks fly
Tumblr media Tumblr media
He is also crazy, young and exciting, but something won't let you let him go. He is aware of his strengths and he knows how to play them exactly right to keep you on your toes and crazy about him. Maybe it isn't the most stable of relationships, but hey, as long as you're having a good time!
GIL-GALAD ♡ gorgeous
Tumblr media Tumblr media
He is so royal and classy and naturally, captivated your attention within mere seconds in his presence. At first you might have been a little intimidated (who wouldn't be?) and you had mixed feelings within yourself - he surely already had someone, so you decided it would be best to wait for him to approach you. Years and years later, you both like to jokingly reminisce on those moments.
BRONWYN ♡ new year's day
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Life can be tough, and people can be difficult to deal with, but the two of you have each other's back through it all. While you have your arguments and disagreements occasionally, and maybe someone judges your relationship, at the end of the day there is nobody else that the two of you would rather share your troubles with.
ELROND ♡ you are in love
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This sweet soul had to get this song assigned to him! Your love bloomed steadily over centuries of close friendship and understanding, you shared a quiet, unspoken bond, and it was just the most natural thing ever. It eventually became difficult to pinpoint when exactly it turned into something more than platonic, because for so long it had been the two of you together, side by side.

Painful Partings
Pairing: Celebrimbor x reader
A/N: This was a request by @80s-romantic-dreamer. It is about Celebrimbor and the Reader, who lived a good life until Annatar came around. When they realized who he really is the Reader has a painful parting with Celebrimbor.
Warnings: relatively sad ending
♡♡♡♡♡♡♡
You had never seen your husband so frantic.
It had only been four weeks since Annatar had left Eregion with the first rings, and you had hoped to have your beloved Celebrimbor back to yourself now, but he was still spending most of his time at the forge.
But that wasn't what worried you. It was normal for him to lose track of time from time to time while working. What wasn't normal was the fact that he hardly ate anything anymore and woke from nightmares bathed in cold sweat. Sure, he'd had nightmares before, but these were very different, and after them he would sometimes just stare at you for hours, as if he couldn't believe you were real.
But you hoped that you would get through this time too, just as you had got through every time it had become difficult.
But this time, this time was different.
"You have to go." Celebrimbor said one evening as you were getting ready for bed. He had returned from the forge earlier than usual, which you had actually interpreted as a good sign, which was also the reason why it took you a while to realise what he had said.
"Go? But where to?" You didn't quite understand what he was trying to tell you.
Your eyes sought his and for a few moments your eyes met. You could see a desperation in his that you had never seen in Celebrimbor's eyes before. Finally, he averted them and buried his face in his hands.
You put aside the brush you had been using to brush your hair until a few moments ago and slowly approached him. You carefully wrapped your arms around his form and nuzzled your face into his hair. "What is wrong, Tyelpë?"
"I think I am losing my mind," he whispered softly.
You shook your head slowly. "Do not say that, my beloved. What is overshadowing your good heart?"
"Annatar. I have- " he swallowed, "I have reason to believe he is Sauron, Melda."
Your body went stock-still, as if you were frozen in place. Sauron? Was that really possible? Had he been evil all this time?
You felt a cold shiver run through your whole body.
"So, what do you suggest we do now?" you asked, unable to hide your fear as your voice trembled continuously.
Celebrimbor lifted his head and you realised with horror that silent tears were glistening on his cheeks. He kissed you gently on the cheek and then stretched out his hands to clasp your face.
"That was my fault, Melda," he said softly as his fingers gently stroked your cheeks. "And I have to fix it myself."
"No!" you said forcefully. "You do not have to - I always want to be there for you, after all, we are married! I- "
"I am not going to watch you die from all this!" Celebrimbor said and pushed you away from him a little roughly. "You have to go, now!"
"What?" you asked in confusion and reached out a hand towards him, which he looked at almost with fear, so you pulled it back. "Why?" Your voice trembled even more now and a sinking feeling spread through the pit of your stomach.
"If you do not leave now," Celebrimbor whispered, avoiding your gaze. "then I will break more every day knowing that you are in almost immediate danger because of me. I had already scheduled your departure for today a week ago, I just- I was not strong enough to tell you, Melda. Because I love you. You are my home, and if you leave, there will only be emptiness inside me. If- but if you stay and get hurt or worse, then I would fall through that emptiness inside of me and lose myself. I can only say how much I regret not seeing that the only thing I really needed, you, was there all along."
"Come with me, Tyelpë." you whispered softly, "If anyone deserves to be happy, it is you!" Your voice got louder and louder towards the end, until you were almost shouting. Your chest hurt so much that you were afraid it would burst and the pressure behind your eyes was now overwhelming you and you were now openly crying.
"Oh Melda," he whispered and, to your surprise, handed you his handkerchief. "When I am finished and everything is in order- "
"Why do you not come with me now?" you asked in a desperate voice. You didn't want to live without Celebrimbor. You just couldn't. Your heart tightened.
He sighed in despair and stroked through his already messy hair. "Do you not understand, Melda. I- I cannot leave until I have fixed my mistake. I just can't."
You looked down at your shoes. "Where do I- ?"
"Gil-Galad," Celebrimbor whispered. He was a mutual friend of yours. "He is coming over personally because I asked him to. He should be down at the gate in a few minutes."
"So you really want- "you couldn't keep talking and sobbed loudly.
Celebrimbor wrapped you gently in his arms, and you felt his warmth much more clearly than you had ever before. It practically burned over your body, reminding you that this was the end. That this could be the last time you feel him that close. At least for now. He could push you away, but you would never stop loving your Celebrimbor, your Telperinquar, more than anything in Middle-earth or beyond.
As you broke away from each other, you looked deep into his sad eyes and tried to memorise their expression. To memorise how they seemed to sparkle when he looked at you. You wanted to memorise the expression of kindness and also the expression of slight uncertainty that seemed to follow him everywhere and was an immediate part of him. You memorised the little worry line that always formed between his brows when he was thinking too hard or worried, and the way his dark hair fell smoothly and elegantly over his shoulders.
Then he put his thick, warm travelling cloak around your shoulders and pulled you back to reality. "We should leave for the gate. It is best not to take anything with you, we have to do everything as inconspicuously as possible so that nobody notices quickly. Because I am afraid you could be used as a way to get to me, that they would hurt you to hurt me. And I would never forgive myself for that."
Silently, you let your hand slip into his and you walked out. Never before had the walk down to the gate seemed so long and yet so fast.
Gil-Galad was already there and looked worried.
Celebrimbor turned to him. "Do you think you will make it back safely?"
"Just over that ridge- "Gil-Galad pointed into the distance- "there is an escort waiting. So we will only be unprotected on a short path, where you can keep an eye on us at all times. Do not worry, old friend, I will look out for her."
Celebrimbor nodded and took a few steps back, but you decided you wouldn't let him go so easily.
"If you- do not die." You uttered until tears ran from your eyes again. "Oh Tyelpë you wonderful- you- I love you. But I am also truely angry that you think you have to go through this alone. Can you not at least let me try to help you?"
But Celebrimbor looked down and you thought you saw tears on his cheeks too, and his voice was full of emotion as he said, "Go away."
You stood frozen in place and started at your husband until Gil-Galad gently put an arm around your shoulders and said softly, "Come on. We have to ride while it is still dark."
And so you turned your eyes away from Celebrimbor, seeing him for the last time in many years.

The star that once shone
Tumblr media
You didn't think one fateful trip to the mountains could make you find your fate intertwined with an elf lord. It was wonderful till one day someone took him away from you.
Warnings: Mention of death, blood, poison, nightmares, violent mutant bear, dead animals and tripping.
---------------------------
The wind blew against the chimes. The gentle music echoed across the empty garden. The white flowers gleamed in their flowerbeds, and their petals decorated the colorless pavement around your feet in their soft color.
You stood motionlessly in the middle of the colorless garden. There were no sounds other than the wind and the chimes. There were no colors other than the gray color of the stone and white flowers. Even the sky was colorless. It was dark with gray clouds that flew by along with the wind. It was like– the world has been robbed of its joys and colors, leaving nothing but emptiness and sorrow.
Why was that? And why were you here?
You look up and see something in the distance. It looked like a wide stone bed. Your vision was blurry, so you couldn't properly see what it was. In your haze, you walked closer.
Your footsteps echoed in your ears, and when you walked closer, you finally made out what was before you. It looked like a stone table, and someone was lying on top of it, dressed in blue and bright silver.
When you stood next to the table and looked down on the person before you – your ears began to hear a song. It was soft and filled with sorrow. You recognized the words being from the elven language of Sindar. Not many mortals could speak it, but you luckily knew the meaning of those words and realized what the song was for. It was a song the elves sang for their dead, but the question remains. Who has died?
You looked down on the person before you. Their hair was dark as the night and from the sharp points of their ears. You could tell they were an elf. However, you could not see their face. You tried to take a closer look, but it did not work. Their face remained blurry to you.
Tears suddenly began to flow from your eyes, and you felt unexplainable sorrow when you continued looking at the elf. You tried to dry your tears, but you couldn’t. The tears continued falling, and you didn’t know why. Why did you feel such sorrow for this elf? Who were they to you?
You don’t remember ever meeting someone like them.
You suddenly fell onto your knees, jolting in pain and feeling something flow from your nose. You brushed the beneath of your nose and found black blood dressing your fingers. You then saw the veins of your hand turn dark, and you felt compulsive pain through your body. You crouched against the stone altar and started coughing. Blood splattered against the white stone after you coughed something out of your throat.
You stared at the blood in horror as it slid against the stone. It was dark and thick with sickly-looking bubbles. Touching the blood that dressed your face, you tasted something foul. Poison?
All then went quiet. The wind and the song of the elves fell silent.
You looked around and felt unimaginable unease. It was silent. Too silent.
You heard something sizzling and looked down to see one of the petals of the white flowers burn slowly in bright embers.
Your surroundings suddenly became bright, and your heart raced when you saw the sky burn in colors of red and gold. The clouds had turned dark, and there was smoke everywhere. It was like the sky was on fire.
You gasp when you hear whispers and look into the dark that surrounds the garden and you. Your eyes fell upon the entrance of the garden, where the darkness was at its thickest. Shudders and goosebumps lingered across your back and skin as you sensed something hiding there. You were not alone.
The whispers became louder, speaking in an unfamiliar language. You couldn’t recognize it, but you sensed something dark about them.
A figure appeared from the darkness, making you shiver in fear. An eye suddenly appeared in your mind, and the malicious phantom charged at you, making you yelp in fright and wait for the worst.
You gasp, snapping your eyes wide open. You breathe as you lay on your bed, feeling the drops of sweat running across your skin. You take deep breaths, looking around your home while trying to calm your beating heart.
The sun was shining through the window, and you could hear the birds singing outside along with the busy noises of the people. Nothing was burning, and there was no shadow.
You take a deep breath and release a relaxed sigh. It was just a strange nightmare. You stared at the ceiling in thought, trying to remember what happened in the dream you saw. Strangely, you didn’t remember it anymore. It just came, and now it’s gone. It happens to you sometimes, so it was not a big ordeal. However, you had an odd feeling about the dream. You didn’t know why, but it felt like there was more to it than being just a passing vision of mind.
You shrugged your shoulders and got up from your bed. You stretched your limbs and groaned in delight when you heard the pops from your joints. After doing your little morning workout, you tossed the blanket to the side and started dressing up for the day.
The doors to the tavern creak open, and you walk in with a yawn. The place was nearly empty, save for a few men and farmers who came early for breakfast. The tavern keeper was busy cleaning and preparing for a day of work.
“Morning, (Name),” Your friend, Callum, greeted with a yawn. “Morning. How’s the board looking for today?” You asked as you sat down beside him. “Surprisingly, fruitful. There are more jobs than yesterday,” Callum says as you both look at the board over the counter filled with pinned posters for several jobs. “There are some search jobs from faraway cities, two assist jobs from the elves, and even one from dwarves. Now they’re rare to come by,” he added as you take interest in the job with the dwarven seal.
“Hey, Don. Give me the one from the dwarves,” you hinted to the tavern keeper, who then walked over to the board and grabbed the job poster before handing it to you.
“Dwarves are usually proud creatures. They take no help from anyone unless it's absolutely necessary. What does it say?” Callum asked as you read through the text on the job.
“They want help to get rid of some wolves that have been seen wandering in their mountains,” you explained. “They’re pretty fast and troublesome creatures, so I can see the dwarves wanting someone else to deal with them,” you stated, then looked at the tavern keeper. “I’ll take this one,” you said, and the tavern keeper nodded and went to mark it up.
You folded the poster and placed it carefully inside your tunic before standing up.
“Aren’t you going to stay for longer?” Callum asked. “Nah. I think I’m going to do the job today. The guild doesn’t pay me for loitering around,” you grin, then point at him, “ You should probably get that job finding the cat done. It's already been two days,” you said as you reached the door. “I’m working on it! That cat is very slippery!” Callum groaned. “Yeah, yeah. Whatever you say,” you shook your head with a laugh before leaving the tavern.
You climbed on your horse, Copper, and checked the location marked on the job poster. The place was located near the mountain tops of Khazad-Dum, so it wasn’t too long for a ride. You might as well visit an old friend there after you finish the job. You placed the paper back into your tunic and clicked your heels, riding toward your destination.
The gates opened, revealing an elf standing outside. The elf walked in after the gate opened. A dwarf was waiting on the other side, and he grinned when he saw the elf walk in. “Celebrimbor! Good to see ya! How have you been faring?” the dwarf beamed with joy. “Was the journey well? Do you need some refreshments or time to rest?” he asked.
“The journey was long but not enough to exhaust an Eldar like me, Narvi,” Celebrimbor smiled, making the dwarf laugh.
“I hope you have enough to climb and investigate the mineral deposit I told you about,” Narvi said. “Well, that has kept me eager, so lead the way, friend,” Celebrimbor said.
“Then let’s get geared up. The path we will be taking will be rocky, so we might end up spending some time there,” Narvi said as they both walked in, and the gate closed behind them.
You look over the trail and the mountain tops. The wind was blowing against your face and it was a bit cold. The path led toward the higher tops of the mountains. It looked rocky and too challenging for Copper to get through, so your best option was to continue on foot. You also didn’t want to risk him getting eaten by the wolves, so it would be safer for him to stay.
Copper whined when you suddenly jumped down and held onto the reins. You patted his neck and looked him in the eye. “I won’t be gone for long, so behave yourself,” you said, and he let out an annoyed snort. A chuckle escaped you as you let him walk to a patch of grass to eat. You had no worries about him wandering off since he was trained.
You looked at the path that led to the mountains. It looked long and rocky, which made you feel a bit excited since you don’t travel around mountains very often. You began walking toward the top, ready to hunt and get some action.
When you got to the top, you stopped to take in the view of the world around you. The view was amazing – you could nearly see your house from there and all the distant cities. After admiring the view, you began looking for some tracks. You found footprints of people, rabbits, birds, coyotes, and even great mountain goats, which were common around the lands of Khazad-dum. You could also tell since there were a lot of giant animal droppings around the trail. However, you did not find any tracks of wolves or indicators there might be a pack around somewhere.
You looked around for more tracks, starting to have an odd feeling as you continued deeper into the trail and wilderness around you.
You started hearing the buzzing of flies and smelled something foul in the air.
When you climbed up a couple of rocks to investigate, you found a severed head of a great mountain goat lying on the ground, cut clean and covered in flies. The rest of the body was nowhere to be seen.
You felt a bit concerned. The great mountain coats are big and powerful creatures. The dwarves domesticated them for a good reason. It would take a lot for a single wolf to take one of them down— even with a pack the beast would give them a hard time. However, it would take something much bigger than a wolf to rip its head off that clean.
You noticed dried blood on the ground and tracks, showing whatever killed the poor goat had dragged the rest of its body away. You decided to follow the bloody trail.
There was a lot of blood, so the tracks did not end, and soon they led you to the rest of the body that had been left alone. It was an ugly sight. The body had been ripped open to the bone, and the innards were all around the ground. You had seen ugly things in the past, but that was just brutal.
Some flies and ravens were eating the carcass, which felt strange since there was a lot of flesh left uneaten. If a pack of wolves was at play, there shouldn’t be any left. Something weird was going on.
You then notice other bones of half-eaten animals. There was a whole graveyard of them. The smell was awful, and there was a cave behind them all. It was big and looked deep. It definitely looked like it could house a giant animal. You had a feeling you were not hunting wolves here but something else. Something big and much meaner.
You decided to approach the cave with caution.
Celebrimbor and Narvi climbed up the mountains. Celebrimbor looked up, feeling sweat falling across his skin from the sun's heat, mining and climbing the mountains with a basket on his back.
“Slow down, pointy ears!” Narvi’s voice called out.
“What’s the matter? Exhausted already?” Celebrimbor asked with a teasing tone.
“My body gets older each year so I might get tired more than usual,” Narvi sat down on a rock to take a breather, carrying a similar basket filled with found rocks.
“Well, maybe we should stop and let you rest,” Celebrimbor said. “I think I should probably go back and empty this heavy basket on my back. The bones in my back are already stiffing,” Narvi rubbed his shoulders.
“You can go ahead and look more for the mineral veins,” he said. “Are you certain? You don’t need any help to get back down?” Celebrimbor asked. “I’m not that tired, you oaf!” Narvi said, making his elf friend grin a little. “Besides, it's not too far of a trip. I will be fine,” he got up.
“If you say so,” Celebrimbor said. “Do be careful. I heard some mean creatures have been roaming around these areas,” Narvi said as he slowly made back. “I will be fine,” Celebrimbor smiled. “Good because I was not planning on dragging your arse back to the city if you got hurt,” Narvi called out, making Celebrimbor chuckle. Celebrimbor glanced at his friend before making his way further to the top of the mountain.
The cave was dark. You had nothing to light up your way, so you remained at the entrance, trying to use the light from the sun to see what you could. You almost gagged from the scent that lingered in the air. It was a horrid mix of all the rotten bodies and bones scattered all around the cave. It was beyond awful — A true scent of death.
You carefully looked through all the corners of the cave, and all the light allowed you to see from the entrance. Despite all the rotten bodies of the animals. There was nothing. The cave was empty, which could mean its current resident was out for a hunt or hiding somewhere else. You preferred the first.
The ravens and all the other birds at the carcass outside suddenly cawed and flew away in panic. Your heart jumped out of fright, and you saw a large shadow approaching.
You quickly hid in a corner and watched as an enormous bear appeared from the corner of the cave, dragging what seemed to be the body of another great mountain goat. Your eyes were wide as saucers as you marveled at the mere size of the beast. It had to be the biggest bear you had ever seen.
It had scars on its hide, indicating some people had tried to kill it and were unsuccessful. You couldn't imagine why. Its face was slightly deformed, and you couldn't see its eyes, so there was a chance it was blind. It was beyond abnormal to be an overgrown bear, so you guessed it was an animal born out of whatever wicked thing could breed such a monstrosity.
The monstrous bear grunted and dropped the great mountain goat's body. It whined and roughly dropped down against the ground. Your ears picked up munching and slurping, so you guessed the beast was eating its prey.
You listened to the gross sounds. The way the bear was eating sounded sloppy, and the way it swallowed sounded deep and like it was struggling. It sounded like the beast had some digestion problems, which would explain all the half-eaten carcasses, but it did not give you any comfort since you were in the cave and the bear was lying right in front of the entrance. You were trapped.
You silently cursed under your breath. A bear like that was more than you could handle.
You contemplated your options while keeping your eyes on the bear. The best and possibly the safest option would either wait and hope it will go away or wait till it gets tired and falls asleep. The least safe option would be trying to sneak past it while it was distracted. None of the options sounded promising because there was a chance the bear might just walk back inside the cave after its meal and spot you or spot you anyway if you tried anything else.  You would end up getting mauled and eaten alive either way.
None of the choices sounded great because there could be unwanted outcomes either way. You were in a real bad place here. The first option would most likely only prolong your demise and you have never been the patient type, so — sneaking around it is.
You quietly took a deep breath and began moving as quietly as possible. Your heart was beating between your ears as you kept your eyes on the giant bear while silently walking around it. It was ripping the flesh off the goat, biting and swallowing the bits of flesh in its mouth. It made your imagination wonder what it would feel like to get mauled by those teeth. You really did not want to imagine it, but you couldn't help it.
You managed to keep quiet and get out of the cave. You almost sighed in relief since now you only needed to leave without gaining its attention. You kept your eyes on the bear while carefully walking away. Your foot then suddenly stepped on a bone.
You froze since the bone was loud. The monster snapped its eyes on you and growled, struggling to get up.
"Shit!" you cursed and ran for it. The bear roared, picking itself off the ground.
Celebrimbor was looking through the stones. Glittering veins dressed the rough surface of the stone.  He first thought it was either silver or mithril, but it did not bear any similar qualities to either of those metals. He couldn't tell what it was.
The mystery made him trek further to the path, wanting to find more. He looked around in glee, unaware of what was happening not too far from him.
You yelped as you avoided the bear's claws. You tried to use the rocks and speed, but the beast was fast and determined to kill you. You don't think you have ever faced a beast this violent before.
You noticed some cracks coming closer and quickly conducted a plan since you remembered there was a path beneath the cracks. The cracks were small, so if you managed to jump into the cracks and trip the bear– you could make it get stuck. You could escape and get some distance.
You put the plan into action and ran toward the cracks with the bear still following you.
You yelled and jumped into the cracks, escaping the death's claws by a second and falling a couple of feet before colliding against the ground. You groaned painfully before getting up and watching the beast get stuck between the cracks. It was roaring and struggling to get free. You grinned, sticking your tongue at it before running away.
You continued running. Your ears picked up the roars and screams of the beast in the distance. You turned to look back, but then your foot got stuck on something and you fell forward.
Celebrimbor was looking around till you suddenly appeared and slammed right into him.
You both yelled as you fell to the ground and began rolling down the hill. Celebrimbor held on to you as you both rolled down, losing his basket on the progress. You two then came to an abrupt stop when you reached the bottom.
Hissing painfully, you picked yourself up. Your body ached from all the bruises that were definitely going to form after rolling down the hill like that.
You heard a groan and looked down to see you were lying on top of an elf. His hair was dark and dirt covered his face. He was beautiful like many other elves you have seen, and when he opened his eyes and looked back at you — you were in a trance. They were lovely, and now that you could look at him. There was something oddly familiar about him.
It took you a moment to realize you were still lying on top of him, awkwardly staring. You quickly got up and helped him up.
"I'm sorry about that. Are you hurt?" You asked after you got up.
"I... don't think so," He answered while brushing off some dirt from his clothes.
"Great. Good, good. Again I'm sorry and —" You trailed off, hearing something in the distance. "Run," you said.
"What?" he tilted his head in confusion.
The bear suddenly appeared, roaring and running at you like a mad bull.
You grasped the elf's hand.
"Run!" You shrieked as you dragged him away from the murderous bear

Pairing: Elrond x Reader
Warnings: A little self deprecation
Genre: Fluff and a little angsty i guess
Word Count: about 2121
Disclaimer: lotheg is sindarin for a single flower or blossom,  On nydha means good night
Finally after a long day at work your superior had finally sent you home. He saw how tired and exhausted you had been the last half an hour, repeatedly losing grip on the tool you had been holding. He had watched you for a while now shaking his head every now and then when you’d been so engrossed into your little project that you had not heard the young ellon next to you asking for your attention for the second time now. You had worked so much these past few weeks and had barely time for yourself, you were basically drowning in it. Celebrimbor knew you needed a break.
Tumblr media
When you dropped one of the drafts you had created for the 4th time he finally decided to stop this nonsense. „You should go home now dear.“ He proposed in a quiet manner. Nontheless it startled you a little that you jumped and he caught your arm just in case you were gonna stumble. His expression was soft „I know you want to finish this as soon as you can but you need to sleep at some point.“ „No no I am almost done for today anyway I..“ you tried to protest but as soon as you started Celebrimbors face turned much more serious. „This is not a request.“ He declared with an edge to his tone that let you know there would be no further discussion. You knew you could be stubborn at some times but you had needed merely 10 more minutes to finish this part of the project you wanted to complete so badly.
Tumblr media
On the way home you felt how exhausted and overworked you had been. Every joint in your body ached, every muscle cried out with each step. If that had not been enough already destiny seemed to hate you when you saw a young couple, lovedrunkenly running into you on their way through the city. They would be heading to the festivities, that were about to tart in an hour or two you had guessed. You hated to admit it but you were jealous that these two could have what you wanted and waited for so long now. Your face became serious and a wave of frustration hit you. That was how you walked home that evening to spent another evening on your own. Your allowed your thoughts to wander a little and it was not doing you any good to be honest.
You tended to overwork yourself every now and then because once inspiration hit you, you needed to use it, to create. It had always been like that. You would not have even just a glimpse of an idea for weeks and then once the spark came it inflicted a flame as hot as dragons fire. You’d been so overwhelmed with it that sometimes you wished you could split yourself up to work on different things at the same time. It was one quality that you were sure made Celebrimbor ask you come to Ost-in-Edhil and work for him as part of the Gwaith-i-Mírdain. You could not believe that THE Lord Celebrimbor personally had invited you to join him in Eregion and you were so grateful and proud. But you were not part of this place just yet. You still had to work for the High King first and finish a mission he had trusted you with. After that Celebrimbor had offered you to stay in Eregion.
You finally arrived at your door and quickly opened it, stepping inside and shutting the door behind you. You had been overthinking again.  You needed to complete this new project of yours since you would have to go back to Lindon in not more than a month. You were just about to work on some more concept drawings when you heard a knock on your door. You sighed and considered ignoring the knock just when a voice from the other side caught your attention. It was your dear friend Elrond, who called your name through the door. „Come on now I know you’re home. Open up.“
You got up and opened the door just a little to peek through the door. You knew Elrond would see that something has been nagging at you and he would question it.
Tumblr media
As you expected, Elrond took in your restless form, not showing you know what he’d been thinking. He called your name softly, „May I come in? Or are you going to leave me here?“ After about three seconds you stepped aside making way for him to enter your place. „So what is it El? Did something happen or what do I owe a visit from the High Kings Herald personally?“ You tried to joke with him. Charismatic as he’d always been he laughed at your attempt at humor. „Can I not pay my friend a visit? I came to check on you.“ Of course he would know you’d been trying to evade his questions. „Elrond you know I am well.“ You walked around him to your bed. „I’ve been busy that’s all. And tired so if you don’t mind I’d like for you to come back some other time. I was just about to rest a little.“ You gestured to the bed. When you looked back at his face, his smile had faltered and you swore you saw a glimpse of concern in his pretty eyes.
Tumblr media
„I saw you earlier. You looked stressed and unwell. Lord Celebrimbor told me how hard you had been working.” You grew a little annoyed now. „May the Valar help me Elrond I told you I am fine.“Elrond just kept staring at you. „I am sorry“ he said sadly, „for not noticing it sooner. I should have paid more attention.“
Tumblr media
It struck you everytime how much of an idiot he could be. He was the sweetest elf you had ever met, always worrying about others and trying to please everyone. Your annoyance had left as fast as it had come. Now you were the one who felt sorry for your little outburst. You could not blame him, he had trouble as a younger elf and only ever wanted to do his best. It was beyond you how he could blame him for something he had clearly no saying in. „Elrond.. I don’t know why you always believe everything to be your fault.“ You acknowledged. Elrond came closer and took your hands in his. „Stop pretending everything is fine, when it is not.“ he urged. You stared blankly back at him. „I care about you,“ he said stressing out your name. You have not been well for a while now and it pains me to see you this way.“ The way he said it with such sincerity in his voice made you look away. You stared at your feet feeling too shy to look at him now. You let out a breath you had not remembered you’d been holding. You could not think of anything to say. You knew he was right. He always was. He ducked a little trying to see your face and catch your eyes again. „You know you can tell me anything, right? I won’t judge you.“ You knew he was being honest. That was just one of his qualities you cherished so much. He had always been honest and truthful. It was part of the reason why he was your best friend for a very long time now. Thinking about everything that had been happening you’d kind of lost it a little, giving in to the whirlwind of emotion that you had to this point held back so successfully. You looked away and turned your head towards the window. Elrond heard you sniffle softly, barely audible even for his elven ears. „Come here love. Let me hold you.“. He wrapped his long arms around you in a swift motion. When you fully started to cry into his shoulder he only tightened his grip on you further. You felt so at home in his strong arms. His lean, but strong body engulfing yours felt so overwhelming. In this moment you gave in and felt free to let him break down the walls you had built to protect yourself. You sobbed into his shoulder while he held you close, whispering reassuring things to you. „It’s ok lotheg. I am here. I will always be here.“. After a while you stopped your outburst and quickly apaologized: „Ugh no I cried all over your fine Shirt.„. Elrond laughed out your name at that. „Only you could believe I cared about the shirt, when a friend needs me? Please stop apologizing there is nothing you have to apologize for.“ „Sorry..“ you said without thinking. Elrond called you with a warning but playful tone. You blushed at that. He saw your flushed cheeks and chuckled. „You are so cute.“, which made your cheeks even warmer than before. You never told him but you believed you had a crush on him for a very long time now. A foolish dumb crush that was also part of the reason you had felt so sad lately. Of course youhad imagined how it was to tell him but you would never execute the plans you made in your head. It would never work out you knew that. He only ever saw you as a friend and nothing more. All you would do is destroy the beautiful friendship between you.
Tumblr media
You spent some more time together, just sitting and talking. You could not help yourself but speak about you in such a negative way that Elrond spoke your name suddenly, taking your hands in his bigger ones. He looked at you in bewilderment: „Don’t put yourself down like that. You are the most beautiful, strong, and extraordinary person I know. It deeply hurts me to hear you speak so bad about yourself.“ You looked at him, mouth slightly agape. You were lost for words. You didn’t know what to say now. You looked down to your feet: „I.. I know sorry..“ you stuttered. „I just tend to be very insecure you know that I don’t know what to do, or how to change that.“ Elrond brougt your hands, which he’d still been holding to his lips and kissed them lightly. „I never ever would want you to change anything about you.“ He brings your head closer to his so that your foreheads touch.
Tumblr media
He looked at you with such love and fondness that you had never seen anyone look at you before. The next thing he whispered was so quiet you could barely hear it, making you question if it was even meant for your ears „Why can’t you see what I can see?“
A knock on your door broke the moment. It was your friends Merenion,  Aeghel and Calandil, calling for you to open the door. They were heading to the festivities down by the Docks. You both froze, no one moved to the door. You really didn’t want to go. You wanted to stay Home, preferably with Elrond but you knew he’d want to, no had to attend. After a moment of silence your friends decided to leave. Elrond was the first to speak: „Why don’t we stay here tonight? At your place?“. „What no..? You don’t have to stay with me El. I’m fine. Really.” You responded. “Besides you’re expected to attend. The High King…“ „Should be able to rule his Kingdom for one night alone.” interjected Elrond. “I have written his speech this morning,he has it already..“ He smiled at you with crinkly eyes. „Oh but you definitely still need to be there you..“ He interrupted you again calling your name. „Stop. I’ve got nowhere else to be tonight besides here.” The ellon looked at you with beautiful big eyes full of adoration. Don’t push me away you know I am alot stronger than you. I won’t budge.“ He smiled. He had so pretty eyes you could stare at them for a lifetime and still would never tire of their gleam. Suddenly he walked over to the bed and picked up a big fluffy blanket. „Here.“ He wrapped you into the blanket like a Burrito. „We can watch the fireworks from the balcony if you’d like“. You hummed in acceptance.
You sat on the balcony for over an hour now. The sun had long set and the darkness wrapped itself around each Tree and Flower that you could see from your balcony. You shared a couch. All the time you sat there you had not been talking all that much. The two of you sat mostly in what could be called a comfortable silnce. He had told you about his latest visit to Khazad-dûm. He had such a soothing voice you believed you could listen to him talk all day and all night. Ever since you knew him, he’d captivated you. Something about this young ellon next to you was just attracting you to no end. The Fireworks were about to start anytime soon now but you were so exhausted and tired from the previous weeks you slowly drifted off. Your friend had held you this whole time and gently drew circles on your arm. Elrond noticed your droopy eyes and waited a while until he deemed it safe to carry you to the bed without waking you. He lifted you up easily, tugged you in, putting your head on a soft pillow, making sure you are comfortable. He leans down to give you a kiss on your forehead whispering „goodnight my little lotheg“. Before he could get back up and leave, you sleepily called for him. Missing his warmth and fearing another nightmare you wanted him to stay. You sleepdrunkenly asked him to stay with you. Elrond smiled down at you and you felt the mattress shift beside you. He joined you under the blanket and wrapped his long warm arms around you, face nestled in the crook of your neck where your hair lay. „On nydha“. He closed his eyes and you both slept peacefully, entangled in each others embraces through the night. No bad dreams haunted you, no good dreams either. You would not complain though for you had just experienced a dream come true to you.

Falling into absolute astonishment, he faltered and stuttered as words and thoughts failed him. Even his coordination failed him as he knocked his tool kit over, spattering his gadgets on the floor. Fumbling with his words and throwing his eyes around aimlessly, he replied in a pitch higher than his usual tone, “Thank you for that compliment, you should smile more too—no! I meant that your smile is gorgeous and that you should show it often.”
