literally any mention of Theo + sex with women is sooo sad and devasting
the 27 year old pedophile?
Carole Lambard who he had to take so much drugs to fuck he almost OD'ed with her?
his weird purity with Pippa and how he never describes her in a sexual way at all
at least with Kitsey he got to watch movies afterword. I actually think he and Kitsey had the most potential to be real friends. He didn't idealize her like Pippa and they're very similar and the sex seems more perfunctory than traumatizing
tho of course....when he fucks her after she says she's in love with Tom and implies he's gay....Theo...honey.....

Carole Lambard, Bette Davis, Marilyn Monroe, Lana Turner, Chico Marx, Doris Day
Carole Lombard: What makes you laugh?
My brother @itsdeanpool makes me laugh. He’s the funniest person I know.
Bette Davis: Do you hold grudges?
No. If I get mad at someone I prefer to talk it out and get it sorted. My mother holds grudges, and I think it’s a self-destructive habit.
Marilyn Monroe: Do you like your name? Why or why not?
I do, because it’s mine.
Lana Turner: Are you allergic to anything?
I react pretty badly to dust.
Chico Marx: Can you change your voice/fake accents?
Yes I can!
Doris Day: Who do you miss?
I miss Doris Day! Calamity Jane was really important to me growing up. But mostly I miss my brother Robbie and of course, @bcdaily <3

Film Review:  “Nothing Sacred” (1937)
Tumblr media
“Life doesn’t have any hands, but it can sure give you a slap sometimes” that’s exactly what happened with Hazel Flagg. Based on “Letter to the Editor” a 1937 short story by James H. Street came the American comedy film “Nothing Sacred”. The film was directed by William A. Wellman, produced by David O. Selznick. The screenplay for the film was written by Ben Hecht. The film starred Carole Lombard for her role of Hazel Flagg, Fredric March played Wally Cook, Charles Winninger played Dr. Enoch Downer, Walter Connolly played Oliver Stone and Sig Ruman played Dr. Emil Eggelhoffer. The film was relatively a very short one, with a runtime of just 77 min.
The story begins when New York news reporter Wally Cook is blamed for reporting a Harlem bootblack Ernest Walker as an African nobleman hosting a charity event. Cook says that he was unaware but that doesn’t stop him from falling from the graces and being demoted to writing obituaries. He pleads to his boss Oliver Stone for a second chance and points out a story about a dying woman, Hazel Flagg, who is dying of radium poisoning due to a workplace incident. Cook is sent to the town of Warsaw, Vermont, to interview Ms. Flagg. After finally locating Hazel, he finds her in a very mixed mood, crying because her doctor told her that she is not dying, this puts her in a mixed mood because obviously, she is happy that she isn’t dying but at the same time is sad to see her dream of getting the compensation money by the factory to travel to New York in style being shattered to bits and pieces. Upon seeing Cook, Hazel sees an opportunity to keep her dream alive. Cook isn’t aware of Hazel’s predicament; he is in a predicament of his own where this story is a very important one for him to resurrect his career after the scandal. So cook invites Hazel and her doctor to New York as a guest of the Morning Star newspaper. The story proves to be a massive hit; it increases the newspaper’s circulation. Hazel becomes a star, she receives a ticker tape parade and also the key to the city. This is when She and Cook fall in love, Cook asks her to marry him even though he still thinks she’s dying. It is only after a medical that the truth of Hazel’s medical condition is revealed.
The movie was a relatively short one with just 77 min of runtime but Wellman caters to it very well without wasting a moment on something other than the dense farfetched story at hand. Nothing Sacred is great entertainment and a rare chance to see the luminous Lambard at full star wattage.
