Another great MFM read. Lauren Blakely sure knows how to write a dirty romance and this one is a banger.
Ivy has the worst luck lately. She has quit her job because her boss is marrying her ex. The same ex that was cheating on her with said boss and told her he wanted an upgrade. How crappy is that? And to make things worse....her old boss wants her to cover the wedding. UGH!!

This book is crazy! This generation is so much darker than the parents. War & Halen loved each other, but at times they hated one another also. I loved that they worked to add the girls to EKC. The boys though… had a hard time getting used to it. (That’s the understatement of the century.) The games they played with people, and sometimes with each other were sadistic.
I think what I loved the most was also being with the parents. They were trying to make the world equal for the girls. We see the threads from their books flow down to their children. We see new enemies pop up, but in all of it they were a family. No one was fighting alone. I can’t wait for more of these characters!

Carnage (L.O.R.D.S. standalone)

I vaguely recommend. I know it's a standalone but it'd be much better if you read the other four.
I hate to say it, but this one is just my least favorite story in Shantel’s world. The first half was super good and had some amazing 🌶 scenes, but the second half fell a bit flat for me. The conflicts and resolutions were a mess. I didn’t fall in love with either the MMC or the FMC. The emotional connection between them was love-hate-hate/love but the communication was meh. I know that was the point in some parts, but just me personally, it wasn’t enough. The supporting characters were much more interesting than the mains and I’m excited for the next one she writes about them.
