When I found out Paramount+ was removing Star Trek: Prodigy I bought all 20 episodes of S1 from Amazon Video since that was the only way for me to watch all 20 at the time. On 6/27, I lost access to episodes 10-20. Amazon has done what they can, which isn't much.

All 20 were accessible when I paid for all 20. The full season is what I was buying. Now, I only have access to 9 of the episodes.

What is the point of buying digital content if they're just going to steal it back from you afterwards?! Is this not false advertisement?

Girlies, what famous cases of a celebrity (including streamers, local celebrities) being cancelled for spoken misogyny alone you remember? Like not an overall problematic person that’s full problematic and had already bern racist and ableist and homophobic and transphobic and elitist and bad politician and whatever. The >main< reason for them being cancelled must be spoken misogyny. Also >spoken< misogyny, not a rapist and murderer of women. Cancelation with mass public outrage and boycotting.

What I’m really looking for is massive backlash for spoken misogyny because sometimes it seems like men have to actually beat up, rape and murder women to be considered misogynists (sometimes not even then) by the public opinion.

Not including Trump and Bolsonaro (Brazil’s former president) because they were already cancelled because they also attacked a lot of other minorities, and became president later regardless, so the big public doesn’t really cares, and also both are conservative idols, so what exactly did that “cancellation” achieve lol

I remember two:

- Rafinha Bastos (Brazilian comedian) cracking rape jokes in 2011 (he was also homophobic and xenophobic but his misogyny was big in the public eye at the time)

- Mamãe Falei (Brazilian politician) saying he would fly to Ukraine to take advantage of the poor women there because it’s easier to buy sex from impoverished women in 2022. He is also overall problematic but I’m counting this one because even right wingers were outraged.

News - After being delayed 3 times, the Sailor Moon ice skating show has been canceled indefinitely. Figure Skater and Sailor Moon super-fan Evgenia Medvedeva was cast to play Sailor Moon/Usagi; and ANZA, who played Sailor Moon/Usagi in 13 stage musicals, was to be cast as Queen Serenity. While the production has been canceled and ticket holders will be refunded, the official website revealed new artwork Naoko Takeuchi had done for the show. The website also announced that merchandise that was originally made for the ice show will be sold online: first for previous ticket holders, then for Sailor Moon Fanclub members, then for the general public. No word yet on if they will be accepting international orders yet or not.

It's not even cathartic to complain about tourists anymore, they're relentless.

I just got to work for the night shift, and the first caller I get is an old man from Kentucky who asked to be put on our wait list in case there's a week-long cancelation later this month. Whenever we get a cancelation, we go down the liat of names in the order they called, first come first serve, so the fact that he's calling us means we don't have any openings for him (if we did, we would have called him). I look, I confirm that we have none, and then I look at the wait list and it turns out that he added his name onto it EARLIER TODAY. Like, less than 3 hours ago. Word of advice, don't keep calling a place back to ask if they've had any cancelations; THEY WILL CALL YOU.

Anyway, I tell him we're still full but will call him if we get any cancelations, and be says he'll call back later. I tell him not to, WE will call HIM. He then starts making demands, like he wants to know about the cancelation at least three days in advance because he'd rather drive from Kentucky than fly, and I tell him there's no guarantee we'll get an opening that fit his schedule. He pretend like he doesn't understand what I'm saying, a very common tactic among tourists who think everyone working customer service are illiterate immigrants who can't speak English. I reiterate as slowly as I can that he doesn't get to pick and choose WHEN we get a cancelation; we may or may not get any openings, and there's no telling when they will be or for how many days in a row. If and only if wr get a week-long cancelation that fits his schedule, we will call him to let him know, and THEN we can book him a room. To this, he responds by saying he wants a room with a kitchen.

Buddy, you'll take what you can get.

I asked him, as plainly as possible, if he would refuse a room without a kitchen, and he again pretended like be didn't understand. What I mean is, if we got a cancelation for a room without a kitchen, would you say "no thanks" and wsit until we got a kitchen, or would you take the room anyway? He told me that he LOVES staying here and desperately wants a room, but if he's gonna be picky about it then I see no point in even trying to help him. Either you want a room or you don't, you don't get to make all sorts of caveats. I can't guarantee one way or the other what, if anything, will come open, but we will call you IF we get something that will work for you.

What upsets me the most about Legacies being canceled is that out of all the TVDverse shows, this was the most diverse in terms of race and sexuality. My favorite couples are Kaleb and Cleo (Kaleb's not my favorite but I like Cleo and I like seeing black love. They're also dark skinned. We just don't see much of that these days or I don't.) and Ben and Jed (You already know how much I'm crazy for them).

The representation in this show was good and was getting better and then they cancel it. It's like three seasons of tomfoolery (not sorry) and a really eye-catching season that will be the last. Five seasons would have been more than enough.
