Day 2 of drawing every single @falloutboy song! Here's the legendary Track 2, forever will be dancing the tears away with this song.
Thank you for all the love on day one! I wanted to give some more context behind my plan for this project, I will be drawing each song from every fob album (including some of my favorites from the compilation albums or eps) and each song from a certain album will have the same background. My ultimate goal is to have a tarot card-inspired deck to bring to concerts and tell fans their "fortunes." As for what order I'm going to do the albums in, I'm not completely sure, I'm mostly going to whichever one I'm inspired to work on. (I would say favorites but let's be real they're all favorites). For SMFS, I wanted to represent this era with the star people from the claymation video, and the elements around them are from the tour shirt!

DHMIS Series Liveblog/Initial Thoughts
Tumblr media
Episode 1:
The trio can harmonize surprisingly well
Hearing Red shout was the most jarring part of the episode
It’s interesting how there are parallels to the main series. Red’s connection to phones, the two aging (like at the end of 2), Bird’s eye getting gouged out (that’s like the third time), and, of course, Bird being vored at least once
Someone call the phone numbers. I’d do it but they’re British
I love that briefcase. might be my new favorite teacher
Much like the main series, there’s some great symbolism/meaning to the insanity. I love “you can be anything you want to do” in particular, as well as how Red’s laziness is rewarded while Bird’s efforts are ignored
Episode 2:
Bird/Duck calling himself a crow-like thing is probably a nod to the early fandom days, where he was often mistaken as a crow and it was also used as his nickname for a bit
Think this goes without saying but Bird being dead and having his organs removed parallels ep. 5
I made a joke about the David thing and what that means so I won’t do it again
Always headcanoned Red’s mouth as being terrifying, glad to see that’s been validated
This show is fucking hysterical, they keep getting me when I least expect it
“ew claymation“ JFLKADJS;
the claymation is gorgeous. in fact the whole series is gorgeous
Can I adopt Stain they’re adorable
the Bird that died had maggots so that was Actual Bird. there’s negative continuity here though so that might not matter
glad to see the lamp finally sobered up
Bird’s obsession with the military references ep 2 of the OG series. there’s a black and white photo of him in the military in the BG
the thing with the coffin was hysterical. annoyed the teacher into submission
Episode 3
the ending fucking GOT ME aljdfskl; could they have cut that more perfectly
rare instance of Bird being the straightman instead of Red
confirmed, Bird is the dad and Red and Yellow are siblings. makes perfect sense
once again, phones are bad news
I love how skanked up those human puppets are with the janky eyes
probably the creepiest episode so far in terms of setting
unexpected Roy cameo
this series is impeccably paced. I feel like I’ve been watching for hours but it’s only been and hour and a half
Episode 4
HOW IS THIS SHOW SO FUCKING FUNNY two minutes in and I’m in hysterics already
“keep an eye on grease fire” alkdsjf. also Bird’s window thing was a nod to the second episode when Yellow was remembering him yelling at it for not respecting him
the name bit klakfdjflsa
let Red say fuck
let Bird say dick
weird seeing Colin not killing people
love how the worm eagle is not malicious so much as a fucking simp
Bird is both completely unhinged and also the funniest character in this show
weird wholesome Colin moment
if there’s a worm in your brain, pro tip: go to sleep or shower
Episode 5
I just realized that there are at least three episodes in this show where the teacher fucking dies
Red’s interview on It’s Nice That stated that he loved extreme sports so this isn’t surprising
the guy in the train costume is having a great time
the Clayhill reference fajlkds. this is nothing but in jokes and I love it
“they’re not here” “aw what” AJDFKSL;A; THE SHOW CAN’T KEEP GETTING AWAY WITH BEING THIS FUNNY
padlock canon and their kid is whatever the fuck that is. sure why the fuck not
Bird rests his head on Yellow’s shoulder to sleep and that’s adorable
Red just chucks Roy out the window. the correct response
the simulation thing is probably a nod to the main series, which literally took place in a TV
what the fuck was that ending. I sense plotish stuff
Episode 6
I think this is an AU that parallels the original series. so like the original series was a TV show, this is another fabrication. it doesn’t seem to be by Roy this time but that clown thing
love the design of this teacher a lot
this kind of parallels Red’s awareness in ep 6. of the original shorts
once again, the teachers get fucking dunked on. refreshing
oh I noticed the train teacher’s license plate said Lesley earlier. I just assumed that was the teacher’s name
I SUPER do not like the meat teacher running by like that
I also SUPER do not like Lesley outbursts, this is def the most eerie episode
Okay, shitpost thoughts aside, that was incredible (though that’s not surprising; I expect nothing less than Becky and Joe). The animation, puppetry, and sets? Impeccable. The humor? Probably the funniest thing I’ve seen all year. The surreal horror? On point. I am so, so glad we got this series on top of the already perfect original series.
Compared to the original series, this series is a lot funnier and probably less scary as a whole, though it does have its moments. It does an excellent job of expanding upon the original characters personalities and makes them pretty darn endearing. The plot does seem looser (which I’ll talk about below), but they may have planned for a potential second season. I would say that as a whole the original series is better (creepier, hits harder, more satisfying plot and resolution), but A) that was a goddamn masterpiece and I’d be impressed if anything topped it and B) this is still incredible in its own right.
I’ll need to chew on the plot more, but my initial guess is that this is an AU (the wall calendar says June 20 but the characters are their original colors, the teachers are nicer, and Roy is creepy but doesn’t appear to be controlling everything, nor does everything seem to take place in a TV like the original series).
Rather, I think this is telling a similar story to the original series, but in a different way. I noted some of the parallels above, such as Bird’s death, the world being fabricated, and the whole last episode is similar to 6, but with Yellow being the one who “woke up” in place of Red and Lesley replacing Roy. The teachers also don’t appear to be virtual simulations like in the original series.
So in this series, this Lesley character controls everything. She may just be a stand-in for Becky herself, or she may be a new character with her own backstory and reasons for doing this; we’ll probably have to wait and see (the book that was shredded probably would’ve explained this). Just like the original series, the world the puppets live in is fake, sort of a meta commentary on the show itself. It’s worth noting that unlike Roy, Lesley doesn’t seem to be killing the puppets and has a fondness for them to some extent. Make of that what you will.

Star Wars Visions (Season 2)
Since these eps are all roughly under 20 minutes I'm just lumping my thoughts under the cut for all of the episodes.
SITH
Art style is nice! (Kinda reminds me of Spider-Verse, which I love.) Color and lines everywhere makes the environment really unique. I want more to Lola's story.
SCREECHER'S REACH
Cartoon Saloon art style I love you and would recognize you anywhere. I'm in the mood to watch Song of the Sea again. Sith Mother had Looks honestly? Beautiful and appropriately unsettling.
IN THE STARS
Favorite episode. Claymation is always impressive to me. A good Imp is a drowned Imp.
Tumblr media
Paint powered by starlight is something I wish I thought of for some fantasy stories I've been writing/written in the past, but man, this scene was pretty.
I AM YOUR MOTHER
Might've been my least favorite episode honestly? I'm not sure. The animation was done by Aardman, and apparently they had a Wallace and Gromit cameo in there somewhere, which I missed. I know I just said claymation is always impressive to me, but in my opinion I don't think a lot of the species we know/recognize translated very well in their style.
JOURNEY TO THE DARK HEAD
First time I saw Toul I couldn't help but think "Oh of course you have white hair and trauma." from my anime phase.
Also should have expected that Bichan was gonna be attractive under the Very Extra mask.
THE SPY DANCER
This episode just proves to me that Cirque du Soleil could go crazy in the Star Wars universe.
THE BANDITS OF GOLAK
Clothing design absolutely SLAPS for this episode. Just about everything really - music, atmosphere, ect. My oldest sibling feelings really came into play here though because I just wished Rani would listen to her brother and do as he requested. Charuk's trying to protect you and you're screwing around/attracting unnecessary attention, Rani... Kids are gonna be kids, though.
The lightsaber duel between Ragul and the Inquisitor was stunning. She may be older than the Inq. but she can still kick ass. 💪
THE PIT
The implemented timelapses in this episode were very cool. I had trouble watching the segment were Crux climbs out of the pit because I was so sure it'd end badly and he'd be shown falling to his death and nobody making it out.
And then he's thrown back into the pit by Stormtroopers later on. I was right about that being the way he died, just not right about when.
AAU'S SONG
Aau is precious and I'd die for her.
As these are all non-sequiturs they'll never explain how the Sith managed to bleed all of that kyber in the mountains on Korba but it'd be interesting to find out how. Like that was a lot of corrupted kyber.

OK so, my thoughts on the don't hug me I'm scared tv series (warning for spoilers)
I don't know how to fully organize them so I'll just start with my biggest thought
The characters (specifically the main 3) are much more fleshed out and have more defines personalities and while it's much different than the original series and was much different than I thought it would be I still love how they're characterized. They're assholes who share a brain cell but at the same time you get the idea that they still care about each other no matter how often they bicker and fight?? U know with how red guy interacts with yellow during the car scene when he was talking about living in a community in episode 5, yellow guy and red guy grieving over duck in episode 2, that one fucking scene when red guy and duck guy say they like looking at each other in 6...love wins/hj. Sure it's mainly the trio being assholes for the sake of comedy but idk those moments kinda tell me that they secretly care about one another. When it comes to the individual trio themselves they're wonderful, duck guy is this fussy unhinged chipper asshole and is the funniest character of this series, every time he yells or says something out of left field in episode 2, it always kills me I love him. Red guy is an absolute blorbo, he's much more different than he was in the YouTube series,he has more emotion and enthusiasm in his voice instead of being monotone and bored sounding which felt surreal to hear but I got used to it pretty quickly, its still deep and calm sounding but I don't mind the change, he has a similar wacky quirk to him like the other 2 characters but is still more of a middle man and is much nicer than them,he's pretty dorky, weirdly friendly and just really laid back and awkward, and I love him <3, I loved him in the YouTube series and I love him even more in the tv show. Yellow guy is an interesting case,he's kind of a punching bag when it comes to some of the shows jokes especially when it comes to the trio but hsi personality is much more close to his pilot counterpart, he's naive, innocent and child like but has a sense of edge to him like when he literally hit duck with broken glass the end of ep 4, he's also more blunt? I love him alot and his role in the 6th episode is something I think about alot.. if you know then u know..
Another thing I wanna talk about is pretty much the tone and changes the tv show has in contrast to the web series
This series is more focused on comedy with the banter between the cast and also the surreal humor being put up to 11 which is the best parts of the show, its much more fast paced and wacky which is super entertaining, it still had the horror from the original series and while I perfer the more eerie horror of the web show the tv show is amazingly terrifying,it's much more gory and you get this sense of dread when your further in the episode and it really makes you uncomfortable at points like the end of episode 5 or just the entirety of episode 2,like Roy being implied to have cannibalized the family in the end is genuinely scary like Jesus christ 😭. I appreciate how it kept the spirit of the show in general even if it's much different than its counterpart and it just feels like don't hug me I'm scared.
And I also wanna talk about the production value of the show and God is it amazing
I love the different art mediums the show uses, like 2d animation, stop motion, claymation,it makes the series much more unique and it's just so well done, the set design is great, and everyone looks so colorful it makes me so happy, off topic is but I love the references and fanservice the show gives like teacher cameos and references to iconic lines from the web show, like pesky bee, the old teachers like tony,Colin, the fucking lamp, and even the steak guy at one point,it's fun Easter eggs for fans while also being enjoyable for newcomers, everything looks so polished.
And last thing I wanna talk about is the story, like the original show, shit hits the fan during the later episodes but are hinted with the continuous shenanigans with the teachers, it starts getting real with episode 5 and I genuinely got really invested, wondering what will happen next and man the ending is something I won't stop thinking about aside from the scene with the gay puppets, I wanna know more about Lesley and how the whole thing shoe does works because she seems so interesting and I hope that they're would be more episodes so we could know more about her
So those are my thoughts on the series, tldr it's freaking wonderful and worth the 6 years of waiting,it might have alot of differences from the web series but there's something for fans like myself to enjoy! I loved it alot and I'm just so happy this show got to see the light of day <3

Here are my opinions of the Sims Summit news that nobody asked for:
Sims 5? I couldn't care less. Fix your issues with Sims 4 and make it a fully realized game before showing us this paralives-looking claymation garbage.
Also idk how many of you will agree with me but I play the Sims to escape other people. I like that it's a game that I play ALONE. The idea of co-op gameplay for Sims makes me nauseous.
New expansions!!! With possible family gameplay!!! I hope they aren't flops but my expectations are underground at this point. High School Years EP gameplay was awful. The only good thing about that pack was build/buy and CAS items which you can get through CC.
Which brings me to the new Mod Squad news. Thanks, I hate it. We all know where this is gonna go. Good modders and CC creators have been trustworthy for years without the need to slap EA's approval on it.
New infant life state or possible baby update is the only thing that gave me a little tiny morsel of excitement, but even then it was bittersweet. It better be a free update like toddlers, EA. I'm watching you.
Sims Mobile and Free Play blah blah blah. People actually still play those? Huh.
The Sims has been my safe space since the year 2000 and I hate to see how late-stage capitalism has warped the fun, kooky, and honestly raunchy game it used to be. TS4 is already so squeaky clean and lacking flavor or depth for gameplay, which is still my favorite part of the game, but it's hard to enjoy without mods. I really hope that TS5 is more like TS2 when it comes to gameplay but with the way they've gone about making TS4 I am filled with doubt.
I'm not mad, just disappointed.

Molly in Siberia: Kay Weathers, Local Indie Band, Celebrates Newest Single with Release Party at Siberia Lounge
Four band line-up to include local favorites Santa Barbara Streisand, Fantasy Non Fiction, and Letrainiump.
Local indie-rock band Kay Weathers will be dropping their newest single, Molly’s Boyfriend, on all streaming platforms this Saturday the 14th. A music video for the song is expected to be released next week. NOLA.Today is proud to offer a 30-second preview of the song, courtesy of the band.
Tumblr media
Dir. Mitch Whales (@mitchwhales)
The group is also throwing a same-day release party at St. Claude Avenue’s own Siberia Lounge. Music starts at 10 pm and will feature, besides Kay Weathers, Santa Barbara Streisand, Fantasy Non Fiction, and Letrainiump. Fans are encouraged to come and join the celebration.
Tumblr media
Videography by Haley Turk (@prettybingus)
Previously, Kay Weathers released their single The River as a stop-motion piece, featuring claymation by artist Ashley Hernandez. Molly’s Boyfriend will be the band’s first live-action music video as well as the acting debuts of several of its members. “We all play characters in the video,” says Legendre, the band’s bassist. “Theresa and I play best friends, who look like we’re in love… and they have this whole slumber-party planned, but then the boyfriend” — the eponymous Molly’s Boyfriend, played by drummer Gerard — “pops up, and he’s like, Let’s go to a rave!, and it’s Monday night…”
I ask if the bandmates developed any connection to the characters they played and the answer is an emphatic, No.
Tumblr media
“It was something,” adds Gerard, in the mellowest voice you can imagine. “I play this rave party-animal, and I’m not that at all, so that was funny.”
Kay Weathers produced the video themselves. They turned to local talent for directing, editing, and choreography and filmed at familiar locations. Scenes featuring the rave, for example, were filmed at Sea Cave Arcade on St. Claude Avenue. Sea Cave mainstays might even recognize a few of the partygoers who appear in the video.
Tumblr media
“I had these sunglasses I wore through the whole video, because I had a migraine on the day of filming,” Legendre (right) recollects. “But they just became part of the character’s look, they fit the vibe. I had fun with that.”
Regarding their sound, the band follows a collaborative model when writing songs: each of the four bandmates contributes something unique. “We each write our own parts,” says Gerard. He outlines the process of how their songs come together: O'Brien begins with the lyrics and main progression, after which everyone comes together and helps flesh out the piece until they have their finished product.
“It takes workshopping, sometimes it takes a few run-throughs,” Romero admits, but they maintain that this process allows each of them to add a bit of themselves to the music they play. It further reflects the organic nature of their sound, which, according to the band, is consequential of the ‘natural’ way they first came together back in 2022.
The four bandmates were already entrenched in the local music scene and found each other through mutual connections, a testament to the sense of community which proliferates New Orleans’ creative sphere. Mutual connection is also how they found several key players in the production of the music video, such as director Mitch Whales, editor Nick Pope, and videographer Haley Turk.
Molly’s Boyfriend will be featured on Kay Weathers’ forthcoming, five-track EP, which will drop in May. Until then, fans can follow the band @kayweathersmusic on Insta.

rrranking the dhmis tv episodes.
BREAKING NEWS i like them all in some way. like obvs they’re all so well made
6: family
ok so i had friendship here on my list but i changed my mind. srry ep 3 u rank the last. i loved the creepy factors in the episode (the inherent wrongness of the characters in this grimy, realistic setting), the social commentary was great but! it just didn’t do it for me like the others! maybe because its a narrative we’ve seen before (yellow guy getting lured into a group with nonsensical rules) in the web show! still pretty good but not. amazing. 5: friendship. this one was hilarious. i liked the banter between the trio in this one and the jokes did land for me. warren is obvs a little freak but it goes well with the message about toxic friends they wanted to put out. animation changes my beloved!!! some people say the trio fighting at the end was like. bad but i didnt mind it. i found darkly comedic in a way. 4: jobs
this was a great opener to the show! the themes and characters were established so well. i loved the commentary in this one. the songs were great. comedy was funny. animated scene was great! overall just a really fun episode.
3: transport
the concept of just having 3 characters in a car sounds like. kind of boring but gosh darn does dhmis make it work! a lot of the jokes land well, the performances are good especially near the end and the “lore” actually begins to develop here!
2: electricity
this one is flat out genius. ending the show in true dhmis fashion, giving the audience more questions than answers. there’s only 1 song in this episode but damn is it catchy! the plot with the house levels was rlly interesting. also gay people. 1: death
this had the best opening line ngl. this episode is perfectly dark and comedic at the same time. justice for stain edwards by the way. there was so many good animation shifts in this one (stop motion for the coffin assembling itself! claymation!) and it was just really wild and fun.

HIS GUCKING HEART DROPPED I!?!?
they blabber more than they did in the youtube one i think the creators focused on the atmosphere rather than the characters on youtube and in this one they have more built personalities and idk if its just im remembering the youtube one bad or if they actually do more interacting here
yellow guy is cancelled wym he doesnt like claymation
going to have that 'theres three of us' song in my head for so long oml
wait they share a wallet??
i love how the red one wants to be dead like my guy cmon
NOT HIM STILL IN THE BOX FULLY ALIVE ALSO HE MAKES MUSIC?? stop it hes my blorbo i get it now
'well we mainly go in here, and sometimes we go in there' -red guy (so imaginative)
the yellow guy has a voice like anxiety
STOP HES PISSING IN THE BOX STOP
side note im kind of into crochet hats and what if i did crothet hats of the three guys?? :0
i started thinking 'theres four of us' when he walked in and didnt think theyd do that fr also which duck killed which one?? is this a theory already

July 4th Special Review: Celebrity Deathmatch : July 4th Spectacular W/Bonus Match (Comissioned by WeirdKev27)
Tumblr media
Happy 4th you happy people! It’s america’s birthday and sadly it hasn’t been her proudest year what with a bunch of lying , selfish, overpolicing assholes deciding to ban abortion and cost people their lives and freedoms because they don’t agree with them, even worse given one of said assholes is a woman herself yet felt this was remotely okay, and two others are out and out sex monsters who somehow got to supreme court.  And yes I am indeed opening with that as while I love this country, I feel what happened in the last few weeks was disgusting and hope despite overwhleming odds we get it overturned.
It’s been a few weeks caked with dread and being disapointed in our country, so I was thankful to take this review on as it’s a nice break, to take a second and not look on in shame at our country but look at what it’s capable of: a bunch of clay puppets beating each other to death in over the top slapstick while one of the ringside refs pretends to be a vietnam vet. You know something for everyone. So it’s time to get back in the ring with Celebrity Deathmatch
For those less familiar with the show, quick recap: Celebrity Deathmatch was beautifully animated and wonderfully stupid show on MTV, pitting various celebrties dead or alive, they had a time machine after all, in as you’d expect, fights to the death, basically taking the WWE Attiude Era style of the time with it’s violence and crassness and adding in celebrity parodies, wonderful claymation and slapstick yet gory deaths. The result is as you can imagine hit or miss: Some eps i’ve watched haven’t been very good with gilbert gottfrieds guest spot being unreviewable... he was naturally the best part.
But i’m happy to say today’s selection is a keeper. While there is some dated ness to some of the comedy here and there, this is the first ep i’ve watched where only a joke or two in the matches has aged badly. The rest of it works wonderfully and i’m happy to show it to you this america explosion day. I’m also throwing in a cool bonus, a match from another episode i’m doing completely free because i’ve been on a beavis and butthead kick for obvious reasons. You can guess which one. So let’s ring the fucking bell and get ready to rumble shall we?
Wraparound: As usual the show has a running plot with our commentary team, the infalppable Johnny Gomez and wacky screwup who keeps a great deadpan Nick Diamond. Today’s match is set on the 4th itself , and besides celebrating the day with america themed violence , some vetrans are present, including Johnny himself who served in grenda.. a country we invaded and was called out by various countries as “fucked up man”.
Tumblr media
So Nick fakes being a vetran and Johnny while clearly suspcious just sorta rolls with it because he wants to get on with the show. We also get our delightful image form that as Nick sneak attacks Johnny just to prove he was in nam.... and to show off his severed ear necklace. The punchline that he stole all his war paraphenlia including the ears is also great, as is them beating his ass. God bless our men in uniform.
Opening Musical Number:
The episode is padded out after the card is laid out with one minute and 30 seconds of what I THINK are supposed to be the ramones performing a rock based version of various patrotic tunes.
Tumblr media
Match 1: Bill Clinton Vs Ken Starr
This is easily the weakest match on the card... in part because it’s a match between a serial sexual harasser who lied to the country, ruined a young woman’s life by seducing her (Though Mrs. Lewinski has not only bounced back but was a writer on the American Crime Story season covering the whole affair, which was excellenty), stringing her along and then throwing her under the bus to save himself, and a selfish republican asshat who went after clinton not because he was legit in the wrong, and he was, but because they wanted to bring him down and whose legal team harassed Monica for a full day, keeping her imprisoned illegally. Neither of these men are ones I care if they win. They both suck and I really don’t get what the point is. That Bill Clinton was charming enough to escape the consequences of his actions? That people loved him but piled shit on monica? Yeah as you can tell watching American Crime Story: Impeachment really.. didn’t make this the best watch, but unlike some matches i’ve watched it wasn’t unwatchable either as they did some shockingly good jokes on clinton’s word salad attempts to avoid perjury, and given how trod the road was at the time that’s impressive, and the finish is awesome: Starr in a rage attacks the crowd and clinton punches the fucker into the liberty bell cracking it.  I may no longer like the man.. but damn that’s fun.
Match 2: James Van Der Beek (W/Bill Clinton) Vs Sadam Hussien
Look I haven’t watched Dawson’s Creek and with the Iraq War since this and the massive loss of life.... yeah this shouln’t of worked. But the sheer lunacy of the match makes it work: Teen, at the time, hearthrob and future best thing abotu don’t trust the b in apartment 23, and that show had Krystn Ritter so i’ts a high bar to climb, James Van Der Beek versus Sadam Freaking Hussien is just too insane for me not to love it from ref (lovingly dressed up like uncle sam) Mills lane checking him for weapons, to James using the asknig about the relationship cliche of teen dramas to sucker Sadam, to BILL CLINTON RUNNIN GIN WITH A STEEL CHAIR, to WMD cheeseburgers, this match is just too lovingly nuts for me to hate and you can’t not like James Van Der Beek finishing off a dictator with the american flag. Him getting arrested for it not so much but still a fun match.
Main Event: George Washington W/Teddy Rosevelt vs Abe LIncoln W/Richard Nixon
This one is just pure crack in the best way. It’d be fun enough taking two cultural icons and having them try and murder each other.. but the show added in by having manly man and big drinker Teddy Rosevelt and walking garbage fire Richard Nixon as the cornermen, with Nixon naturally talking Washington into fighting dirty, from handing him an axe to convincing him he’s the best. Seeing Washington play heel is amazing and the best use of our founding father i’ve seen this year.. and i’ve seen him as a cannibal. It’s just such a contrast and adding in him using quarters as throwing stars it’s just marvelous. LIncoln meanwhile tries to be civil.. till Washington destroys his hat
Tumblr media
Though he looses a leg to the axe, and for once a ref is useful in something resrembling wrestling as Mills Lane orders Nixon out and when he naturally refuses because Sewer Monsters don’t listen to orders well, Teddy decaptates his ass. I mean.. it won’t really stop him from doing his usual stuff
Tumblr media
But it’s a valiant effort. We also get lincoln using lady liberty’s tourch to BURN GEORGE WASHINGTONS TEETH. This... this is why I honestly dont’ have a ton of jokes for this one. It’s just so glorious on it’s own what do I fucking add?  The final joke is also great as we get a mount rushmore of president heads, with Nixon in place of jefferson because shut up. All in all a glorious, goryious match. Go find this episode and because you stuck around here’s a bonus treat
Bonus Match: Beavis Vs Butthead
This was part of the episode Fandemonium III though you can find the complete match on the offical mtv youtube. And I recommend you do as this was fun. The writers of CDM got beavis and butthead to a point, and we even get them being slapped greatly after Beavis, as you’d expect, asks if he can do mills lane’s grandughter. Mike Judge even guest starred to do the animation and the voices. So combined with good writing it comes off exactly how you thinmk it  would: The two, given a bunch of cartoony weapons, being entirley stupid and not getting their fighting to the death , instead screwing around with weapons and nearly killing each other, going claymation thanks to fire extinquishers, and generally being themselves. We even get adults not getting how dumb they are with Nick and Johnny assuming their hurting each other is brillant strategy and not you know, a normal thursday for them. The finish is also awesome as we get THE GREAT CORNHOLIO who destroys butthead and shreds him .. and plans to use the shreds as teepee fo rhis bunghole which is horrifying but perfectly fittng. Thanks for reading and happy fourth

yes i do this is your invitation to talk about rich aucoin!! i have not listened to him i am coming to you for Starter Advice. what would you recommend to sell me on his music? :3
HIIII ANONNN :D
if youre looking for an overview of his music, i made this playlist as a “best of” sort of thing (ignore the first half of it). if you have the chance, a rich aucoin concert is a pretty great experience as well
however, imo one of the best ways to experience rich aucoin is through his albums. theyre all different from each other (as rich’s rule for himself is to never do the same thing twice), but my favorite and what i think represents his music best is we’re all dying to live
always listen to richs albums in order cause god DAMN they can tell a story. his first 3 albums plus his first ep were written to sync up with movies and it shows! synthetic season 1 isn’t one of these, but i still recommend it because it came out this month and its what rich is currently doing!
beyond this point i will go into full infodump territory talking about each of his albums so if youre looking for only starter advice you can ignore this
alright. first ep, personal publication (2007) my beloved. rich made this completely by himself when he was 23 and didn’t know what he was doing but holy shit i have so much brainrot about it. it was written to sync up with the original animated how the grinch stole christmas and i cant share that on this post because copyright infringement but please dm me or send an ask off anon if you want it, its my favorite of his syncs, it works so well. there are a lot of tiny parts in the songs that are also sounds effects in the movies and theyre so fun to pick apart aaaa fun facts: 1) when rich released the sync, he got a cease and desist letter from dr seuss enterprises 2) he toured personal publication in a grinch costume 3) the title “10,342 cuts for the us” is a joke about how many edits he had to make on the drums. making an ep all by yourself sounds rough.
first full album, and my favorite album of all time, we’re all dying to live (2011). ough. this album, man. this is my favorite because it feels so much like a collage. instead of one overarching story like personal publication, this one feels like it tells so many smaller ones. it syncs up to 30-40 different public domain movies, and you can watch it here! fun facts: 1) (this is more like the main fact of this album) rich made this album while biking across canada and it ended up with 500 total collaborators on it 2) some of those collaborators include an elementary school choir
second album, ephemeral (2014)! this one is SO FUN. it syncs up with a claymation version of the little prince, and you can watch it here. its short and very, very sweet, as richs intention was to make it feel like a live show. fun fact: the opening track has samples from rich’s actual crowds. :’)
third album! release (2019)! id also call this one of the more iconic ones, especially album cover-wise. its an album that really reminds you that rich aucoin has a philosophy degree, as its all about mortality and dealing with death. fittingly, it syncs to alice in wonderland, and same copyright deal with personal publication that i cant share it here. this contrasts ephemeral because it takes its time, its slower and more retrospective. also bonus points for having my favorite song of all time, “the other” fun fact: the album cover is a 3d-printed replica of rich aucoin’s actual skull
fourth album! united states (2020)! this was written when rich biked through the united states witnessing firsthand the effects of trump’s presidency. as youd expect, this album gets a bit political. at this point rich stopped doing the movie sync thing, which breaks my heart but is understandable, but this album feels like a road trip nonetheless. fun fact: rich is canadian lol
fifth album! (albums?) synthetic season 1 (2022)! we’re up to present day! while i love all the other albums thematically, this one may be my favorite musically. the gimmick for this one is that its made entirely using synths and has little to no lyrics. its also a quadruple album, meaning a total of 3 hours of synth music. only the first quarter is out right now, and its really, really good. fun facts: 1) the opening track is made with (and rightfully named after) the largest synth in the world, tonto! 2) rich is being considered for a guiness world record for an album with the most different synths on it. season 1 already has 37
