Lilia Vanrouge, Silver, Sebek Zigvolt: I can sit here? Deadass?
I’m sorry, but if a student pops up, upside down at lunch, and says I can join their table…imma do it. I don’t care about consequences. Imma make me some weird friends and nobody can stop that. Also, I have no idea if my beta fishies got to this. Nobody signed off so I'm just crossing my fingers. If there's errors, I do apologize.

Lilia Vanrouge, Sebek Zigvolt, Silver: I Can Sit Here? Deadass?
“Are we not all students at the same academy? We at Diasomnia will always welcome you with open arms.” Lilia Vanrouge said, your first meeting with the man was already a strange one. You had almost spilled your lunch all over the table when he appeared out of nowhere. You and your new friends looked over at the table, and noticed a few Diasomnia students. Two, in particular, stood out. Both had very serious expressions, but you swore the one with silver hair was five seconds from passing out in his food.
“Those guys over there don’t look like they’d be very welcoming…” Deuce muttered, but you were now intrigued. You had been in this world for such a short amount of time, and nothing was going to stop you from meeting new and interesting people. This wasn’t like your old life back home, oh no, this was an opportunity you were planning on taking.
You heard Lilia laughing, “Apologies for dropping in on your meal. Until we-“ You didn’t mean to cut off Lilia, but you kind of just thought of what you said what you needed before thinking it over.
“Deadass?” You asked, turning to Lilia. The boy…no man stopped as he stared at you. He had a curious smile on his face, “Like deadass, they wouldn’t mind if I just got up and joined the table? No cap? Legit? We doin this?” You asked, causing Lilia to chuckle, covering his smile.
“What an interesting little human…why don’t we head over together and we can make proper introductions?” Lilia said, not expecting anyone to actually take the offer. Still, if you were willing to meet them, then who is he to say no. His sons needed more friends, and you were in the same year as Sebek.
“You’re talking all weird again…” Ace commented, but Cater was too busy snickering at the interaction. Ace then turned to Lilia, “And how did you understand half the things they just said?” You kept forgetting that some of the terms you used weren’t known here. Well, sucks to be them.
“Aight, let’s go.” You said, standing up from your table. Grim made a small, annoyed noise before turning to your food then back to you, “Yes Grim, have at it.” You said, deciding you’d rather follow Lilia. The short man chuckled again before guiding you over to the table. You swore, you could feel eyes on you as you approached the Diasomnia table. When you finally got there, right in front of the two interesting students you spotted earlier, you smiled.
“Silver, Sebek, I’d like to introduce you to the Ramshackle prefect.” Lilia said, waiting for you to give a proper introduction. You perked up, smiling wildly once you noticed how confused the two boys seemed at this new turn of event.
“Hello!” You said, introducing yourself properly by giving them your full name, “It’s a pleasure to meet you two!” You said, taking a seat. Lilia sat down next to you as the two men looked you over, wondering what was going on. The tired looking one was the first to respond.
“My name is Silver, it’s a pleasure to meet you.” He said, giving Lilia a curious look. He was wondering why his father decided to bring you over here, but Lilia looked like a proud cat right now, having just caught the largest fish ever. The angry looking crocodile finally snapped back into awareness as he stood up and put a fist over his chest.
“I am Sebek Zigvolt, one of Lord Malleus’s guards!” He shouted, and you knew the entire cafeteria could hear. What an interesting bunch, the overly loud one, the sleepy one, and the mischievous one.
“It’s nice to meet you two…so you’re a guard of…Malleus?” You asked, trying the name out. Sebek sat down and slammed his hands on the table. Lilia went to make a motion for him to calm down, but Sebek was in the zone now.
“How have you not heard of our Lord Malleus, the next in line for the throne in Briar Valley?” Sebek shouted again and you smiled.
“Well, I’m not from this world, so I don’t know who Malleus is, or Briar Valley.” You admitted and Lilia hummed at the thought.
“Briar Valley is where the three of us come from, it’s our home. Fae live over there, under the protection of the Queen of Roses. It’s a sight to see, perhaps some day you could visit.” Lilia said and you were more interested in another part.
“Fae?” You asked curiously and Sebek seemed even more miffed you didn’t know this. Lilia was just amused, having acknowledged you didn’t come from this world and therefore knew absolutely nothing about it.
“Yes, the fae, we’re different from humans.” Lilia explained, “If you’d like, I can give you a full history.” He inquired.
“I’d love that…wait so are you fae?” You asked, having noticed the sharper teeth and pointed ears earlier in the introductions. Silver seemed to be human, just like you, but Sebek seemed to be…on the cusp. He had unnaturally colored eyes, and his ears had the starts of a point, with sharper teeth. He still seemed more human when compared to Lilia though.
“I am, and Sebek over there is half-fae.” Well, that cleared up your suspicions, “Now where to begin? I guess we should start with exactly what a fae is, and then discuss Briar Valley.” And thus began the most informative lunch you had ever had. You only felt a bit bad for leaving your boys to figure out the Riddle situation themselves. You could catch up in your next period together…this Diasomnia group was far more interesting though.

What do you make of David sayin he’s an ally, not an active participant (in queer subcultures)?
Did he come out as straight? I’m not sure anyone has ever asked him directly, not that he needs to give any explanations, I’m just curious because he gives off such a queer vibe even when he’s been married forever.
https://www.attitude.co.uk/culture/david-tennant-on-the-spice-girls-spiceworld-movie-was-being-developed-before-they-even-released-a-single-459815/
Tumblr media
Oh, my Asks/DMs have been blowing up over this one. I did have a chance to read this interview with David (is it me, or is he doing nonstop press lately?) and...wow. Definitely enjoyable, and noticeably more unhinged/queer than most of his other interviews (which makes sense, given that Attitude is an LGBTQ-focused publication). But let's get a screenshot up of the most talked about bit, so we can discuss:
Tumblr media
Obviously there is a lot going on here, so I'm just going to go with what stood out to me most. I don't think there is anything in the world less surprising than David naming bears first, given certain preferences of his (which I've discussed several times previously on my blog).
What's really interesting though is that the question was asking about queer subcultures, but all of the ones David listed are used primarily (AFAIK, though someone please do correct me if I am wrong) in mlm/gay male relationships. "Queer" can be many things, after all--gay, lesbian, bisexual, pansexual, ace--and yet when David heard "queer subcultures" he specifically went for the mlm/gay ones, and that definitely feels like an interesting choice.
The second thing that I felt was worth discussing is that a lot of the reactions I've seen to this is people saying how adorably clueless David is, or how "he's a little confused, but he's got the spirit." And I'm sort of perplexed by this because we are talking about an almost 53-year-old man here, and I believe he knows damn well what all of those terms/subcultures are.
It's been brought to my attention (from what I would consider a very trustworthy source) that David is not at all as technologically illiterate as he pretends to be. Instead, it's actually part of a persona that he puts on to avoid dealing with issues that would arise from people knowing he is online. I had an inkling of this just from Georgia saying David was the one who set up all the equipment for when they filmed Staged at home (because why would such a task be put in the hands of someone who is hopeless with technology?). But having this confirmed also aligns with David creating a fake personal assistant in the early days of his career so he wouldn't have to fulfill certain social obligations, and to put a barrier between his real self and the world.
So why, then, wouldn't the same pattern possibly apply here?
I know there also tends to be this image of David as a "bumbling, goofy dad" type, and that's definitely part of him and what makes him so charming. But I don't think he is a fool, either--especially not after listening to him talk about Shakespeare or politics or anything else at length--and I think he certainly knows how to answer these types of questions. I think David is more than clever enough to give answers that are cheeky but not revealing, because he knows the purpose of all this is to promote the BAFTAs, not to be a deep, probing exposé on the life and times of David Tennant.
Which then brings me to the big, gay elephant standing in the middle of the room--a.k.a., "I'm an ally rather than an active participant." (Again...so many interesting word choices going on here, and none of it feels like an accident.)
Going back to what I mentioned about the focus of these interviews, I'd like to point out one notable thing that David himself said in the Radio Times interview earlier this week:
Tumblr media
This, I think, sums up what we are seeing in all of these interviews: The version of David that he feels is safe to present to the world. He makes it clear as well that he is not going to reveal areas of his personal life while up on stage, and I would say that the same thing applies to these interviews. (It also speaks volumes that in the year 2024, the version of himself he feels safe presenting in these interviews is one who fully knows what bears and twinks--sorry, twinkies--are.)
So no, I don't think David is coming out as straight. I don't think he's coming out as anything, in fact, because he knows these interviews are not the place for that to happen. And I think that saying he is an ally but not an active participant makes the most sense as an answer for a public interview, but neither that nor being in a straight-passing relationship necessarily makes him any less potentially queer.
To reiterate what I said above, there is no one way to be queer. For some people, being queer absolutely can mean going to leather bars and participating in subcultures. But for other people, "queer" can mean something very different. It can mean being a Kinsey 2 just floating along doing your thing until you meet that one person who changes everything. The person who makes you go, "I've usually been more into this and not as much into this...but I'm definitely into you." It can mean being attracted to/falling for someone--a co-star, maybe?--that you never expected to feel that way about. And if David is queer, maybe that also means not shying away from anything, but at the same time not wanting to take the spotlight off the awards and the nominees celebrating one of the most important nights of their lives.
Those are my thoughts on the Attitude interview and David's answers, at any rate. Happy as always to hear from my followers with your takes. Thank you for writing in! x

In Your Lavender: The Wedding Plan Episode
AND WE'RE BACK!
We originally planned to discuss Wedding Plan alongside a few other shows but abandoned that quickly when we realized we both had a lot to say about this show. Come join us as we discuss whether MAME has shown growth, what it means that the lavender marriage term has existed for over 130 years, the importance of lesbians in this story, and the fundamental nature of the closet.
If you've been missing how heated Ben gets, now's your chance!

01:16 - Intro
NiNi
Welcome, welcome. [sighs] Go ahead.
Ben
Oh no, it's fine, you said welcome, I'm not going to do it this time. They won't get it for the Wedding Plan episode.
NiNi
[laughs] All right. Welcome, welcome to the—
Ben
I'm just kidding! And we're back!
[both laugh]
NiNi
Welcome! to the episode that was supposed to be a secret admirers episode, but instead is now the Wedding Plan episode, because everything else was a bit crap. We wanted to talk about this because we could not believe that this came fully formed from the head of MAME, of all the creatives. We were shocked, I think, but…the fandom was also kind of shocked, and we'll delve a little bit into how that played out when we get into the segment but, when I looked at the trailer I was like, ‘mm, okay, this could be cute.’ Did not expect to be…devastated, emotionally [laughs] at certain points.
Ben
I don't really think I watched the trailer properly. I went in a little bit hostile, because MAME’s got a whole thing for boundary crossing. And I was worried going in that this show was just going to be about some rich guy punking around his wedding planner, and then like, cheating on his wife. And that's not the show we got at all.
NiNi
Let’s dive into it so you can hear what we had to say!
03:00 - Wedding Plan and MAME’s previous crimes
NiNi
We are talking all things Wedding Plan. Now Ben, you and I had agreed sometime back that no matter what happened we were never going to talk about a MAME show on the podcast. And here we are [laughs] talking about a MAME show! And there's a really good reason for that.
Let's start by talking about what Wedding Plan is about. Ben, do the honors.
Ben
Wedding Plan is a story about a wedding planner named Namnuea, who is the ace at his event planning company, and a fan of McDonald's, who very much sponsored this show. He is tasked with planning the wedding for a very attractive man and his soon-to-be wife. Complications ensue immediately, because their wedding is coming up in three months and these two have no idea what they want to do for their wedding, and only the groom is the one making the choices.
We can tell very quickly that the groom, Sailom, is flirting with Namnuea; Namnuea is not stupid and picks up on this. The attraction between them is very mutual, but the complications around him being a client and a groom frustrate Namnuea. The reveals that eventually come out make this show to be way more than just a closet case trying to hit on his wedding planner.
NiNi
Reveal the reveals, because I feel like it's impossible to talk about this show in any meaningful way without knowing what the twist is.
Ben
Right! So Sailom and Yiwa, his bride, are in a lavender wedding. So for well over one hundred and forty years, we've had a term to describe queer people choosing to present themselves as heterosexually entwined for mutual benefit and safety. In this case, Sailom and Yiwa hail from fairly wealthy families that are extremely restrictive. The two of them recognized their own queerness at a very young age, and understood that they needed to hide that information. While on a trip in Europe the two of them recognized the queerness in each other when they both had a strong emotional reaction to seeing two women publicly kiss. And then became each other's best fucking friends for life, and decided to protect each other. Yiwa ends up developing a very meaningful romance with a woman named Marine, and she convinces Sailom to marry her so that they can both get out from under their families. They have a long-term plan to divorce.
So when Sailom is flirting with Namnuea, Yiwa is 100% aware of it, and extremely supportive of it, because she doesn't want her friend, who she treats like a brother, to be lonely all the time.
NiNi
That basically sums it up in terms of the mechanics of the plot. But guys, the reason that we're here talking about a MAME show, is, this hit me right in the fucking throat, man. It was so real, in a way that I've never gotten from a MAME show. It felt like MAME almost apologizing to BL for some of the shit that she's done? It felt like MAME trying to gain some understanding and learn some shit, and show that she had learned some shit?
Ben
Just so that we get a bunch of stuff out on the table for listeners: what are some things that MAME has done that you think she should apologize for? [laughs]
NiNi
Ah, [laughs] where do I even begin? MAME work tends to lean very heavily into…traumatizing already traumatized people? I have mixed feelings about a lot of MAME’s work. There are sometimes I'm just like, oh fuck you. And then there's sometimes where they're like, I see where you're trying to go with this but you didn't have the skill. And then there are times I'm just like, ma’am, get the hell out. Something like this that I don't have any mixed feelings about, I just feel strongly positive about it…it's never happened to me before with her work, not ever. And it made me recalibrate in my head—a little bit, because it's still only one show—maybe where I should place MAME as a creative.
Ben
I have a list.
[both laugh]
NiNi
Go on ahead! Read!
Ben
Let's start with Love By Chance. There are four goddamn couples in Love By Chance. Only one couple is remotely stable! We really only talk about Ae and Pete, because we do not need to talk about the other three. MAME loves to question the line between crossing boundaries and romance. There’s Tin and Can, who were the focus of Love By Chance 2—
NiNi
Which I did not watch.
Ben
Then there's Kengkla and Techno, and Kengkla is paying Techno's brother for information on him to eventually date rape him—I mean, that happened in Love By Chance! Then there's Tum and Tar, who are brothers, and Tar was a victim of horrendous acts by a character from TharnType. Moving on to TharnType, a show that I will not watch, for multiple reasons, some of them fandom related that we are not going to get into in this podcast. But the idea that Tharn is going to teach Type that he's actually into men without his consent? Yikes. I don't care how it ends up resolving. The wall is real fucking high for me on that one.
Ben
Didn't they have a spinoff with the other guys from Don't Say No? I'm not talking about that. Then we get to Love in the Air, which I mostly enjoyed, but why do both of the ukes in that show have to get kidnapped in their final episodes? [laughs] Why? It's so unnecessary! Rain and Sky were straight up kidnapped as the final complication of their show. It's insane.
NiNi
I did not watch Love in the Air. So every time you say that I'm just like, ‘that's a thing that actually happened?’
Ben
So this is the difference with Wedding Plan. Wedding Plan is so straightforward. There is no major complication to Wedding Plan. Everything that happens in this show flows naturally from the base conceit that two people involved in a lavender wedding are dealing with some difficulties and frustrations as that approaches, and then make logical choices for their characters, in response to everything that's going on.
And it kind of surprised me how much I ended up really loving this show. It's interesting for me that Yiwa and Marine’s relationship is the reason why the wedding is occurring. I've never really cared about heterosexual weddings in a lot of these shows and stories that I watch, but I feel so much about the way Lom and Yiwa care about each other and protect each other. Lom is agreeing to this sham wedding that's going to eventually lead to a bunch of complications in his life, because he's trying to protect his friend.
Normally in a story like this, there'd be all this tension about the groom struggling with his sexual identity, and what he wants for himself, and the girl's going to get hurt along the way—‘he feels loyal to the girl, we can't just do her like that!’ In this show, Lom is withholding information about the specifics about his relationship with Yiwa from Namnuea because he's protecting her. The crux of the romantic drama of this show was about a gay man in the closet protecting a gay woman in the closet.
NiNi
Yiwa and Marine's relationship is the key to the whole story, but the relationship between Yiwa and Sailom is the core relationship. The fact that they're doing this for each other, the fact that they care about each other so deeply, the fact that they basically decided long ago that they were the people who mattered to each other…and then as people come into their lives who are maybe somebody they might be interested in building a life with, it becomes a decision for everybody as to whether this person gets let in. I would have loved to see how it went when Yiwa decided that she wanted to be with Marine. I understand that's not the point of this particular story, but I would have been fascinated to see how that played out.
By the time we join the story Marine’s on the inside. She's 100% bought in. Marine has made the decision to be in the closet with Yiwa, which is sad in one way, but it's so freeing for them in another, because of what Sailom has done for them. They can be happy. And they are happy! They're happy and they're in love, and they're part of this family of the two of them and Sailom. It made me smile just watching them be with each other as a family unit. And then Lom meeting Nuea. When you're going to bring somebody into a secret like that, you have to be 100% sure. And not just you, everybody has to be on board with it. [laughs] It's not polyamorous, but it's—polyamoresque [laughs] I guess is the best way to describe it. Everybody has to be on board with what's happening. It's not just a question of ‘do I like this person?’ It's a question of ‘is this person a safe person?’ It's a question of ‘do the other people involved in this like this person?’ It's a question of ‘is this a person who I can share this secret with?’ but it's also, as it comes down to later in the story, a question of Lom knowing that he couldn't ask. He couldn't ask Nuea to be a part of the secret. He could just tell Nuea what was happening, and he could just hope and pray—and I don't even think that he dared to hope. And I think that's what the crying was about when Nuea decided that he was going to become part of the family? Lom broke down when Nuea said to him, ‘I'm going to help you keep your secret.’ Because he knew he couldn't ask it of him. And the fact that he freely offered it just brought Lom to tears.
15:18 - Realities of the closet and fandom misunderstanding the show
NiNi
This show is amazing. The show is emotionally sound, the show is beautiful, and I got so mad [laughs] watching this show get misunderstood. And if I was mad, Ben was incandescent. [laughs]
Ben, you take the floor and tell ‘em why you mad, son.
Ben
I'm going to talk about the closet for a little bit. It felt like a lot of the people who are reacting to this show have not been in the closet. I was in the closet for 11 years. Your brain does not work in the same way on the inside, and I'm going to say frankly to anybody who thought Lom should have told Namnuea a lot sooner than he did? When you've been in the closet for 13 years, you do not tell someone you have a crush on, in two months of knowing them. Not when the stakes are as high as they are. The reason they're in the closet is because there will be severe and painful consequences for failing to maintain a heteronormative status quo.
The big thing that separates Lom from Namnuea is, Namnuea is out. The truth about who Namnuea is cannot harm him. Namnuea develops feelings for Lom, and tells his boss. And she says, ‘there's nothing wrong with you having a crush on the guy, like he's hot. You know what the professional boundaries are though, do you need me to step in and take care of this for you?’ and Namnuea said no. When Namnuea fell for Lom, before they hooked up, he called his mom and said, ‘mom I think I fucked up.’ And she's like, ‘sometimes we fuck up baby boy, come home if you need me.’ And after he hooked up with Lom that's what he did! He went home, and he told his mom flat out: ‘the thing I told you about? Yeah I think I went too far.’ And she held him, and let him be a mess about it, because she understood that he already knew that he put himself in a really untenable situation, and she didn't pile on. They protected him. Namnuea can be honest about who he is, and whenever he tells the people who matter to him about something that happened, they close ranks around him and protect him. At the point at which Lom is trying to chase after Namnuea, every woman in his life pulled out their claws and was ready to slit that man's throat. They were all ready to throw hands with this man!
But when you're in the closet, your brain doesn't work right. You are under constant surveillance to maintain the heteronormative veneer over your life. The show does not make this hypothetical. Their friends and family are snapping pictures of them in public, and questioning every relationship they have with someone other than Lom and Yiwa. Lom is sitting at the table with Marine—Yiwa stepped away for a work call, and someone’s snapping a photo like, ‘why is Lom on a date with this other girl? She's trying to steal Lom from your daughter.’ Or ‘I saw Yiwa hanging out with her best friend, are they gay? I took some pictures and now I'm telling your mom.’ When you look at the reason why these two are so vigilant about being in the closet, that's literally what they're experiencing! It's super heavy-handed in this show, but it is exactly the kind of shit that I lived through. Being in the closet because you know that there are consequences and there are dangers breeds hypervigilance.
And I'm going to say it really plainly: all of the really negative takes I saw about Lom that were really unsympathetic to what this man went through? Made me, as a 30-something year old gay man who survived being closeted, really extremely uncomfortable. And I really need you to reckon with whatever you were going through that made you turn on a closeted gay man, and view him as the evil aggressor party in this particular relationship. Because goddamn!
The reason why he chose Namnuea to be his wedding planner was because he had a crush on him! And when you're in the closet you need plausible deniability. Lom is toeing the line. He can hang out with Namnuea and flirt with him, because he's talking to his wedding planner. Nobody's going to question him being around a gay man, because he's his wedding planner! And that's what the homos do, is they plan events for the rest of us! Because they're very good at it. The reason why he's being an irritating client is because he wants Namnuea to talk to him more. If he's a good client, Namnuea’s not gonna talk to him! Because Namnuea’s professional, and busy.
And Lom admits it. He says in episode…6 I believe, because I just rewatched again, that hiring Namnuea was just, in his mind, a little bit of fun before he got married. He would flirt with the guy that he had a crush on, even if it's a little fucked up to do that, and have a little fun before his wedding. He was not expecting to fall in love with Namnuea. But he's got a competency kink! And Namnuea is so good at his job. And he likes his job! He likes seeing people happy at the things that he planned for them, and he takes care of people. Lom loves these things in Namnuea. This even played out in their sex. He was happy that Namnuea was not a virgin. Very tasteful, sir.
NiNi
It being MAME, I will confess, that up until maybe somewhere around the beginning to middle of episode 4? I wasn't sure where they were going with this.
Ben
Let me tell you, I was waiting for her to do some convoluted bullshit as of episode 7. [laughs] They're like, ‘the bride’s run off!’ and I'm like, there's really only one way this should play out. Closeted people make plans. Yiwa is also not stupid. There’s this moment in episode 6—and this is again intentional, the editing on this show is actually really crisp. We get the really poignant scene on the bridge, where Lom talks about the knowing, and Namnuea’s like, ‘we need to fuck right now.’ And then, if you have access to iQiYi, they did! And then we get the scene where Namnuea agrees to be in the relationship, and all that that means.
The very next scene is Yiwa’s mom showing up at Marine's apartment to accost her and slap her. Which is immediately followed by Yiwa running back to the condo, and the way she enters that apartment? She genuinely thought that Marine might have left her. For as happy as they seem, Yiwa never underestimates or undervalues the stress that she's putting Marine under. When she enters the room and Marine hasn't run away, but is just laying in bed, clearly spent from all of this? That's the moment that breaks Yiwa. And then we flash forward three weeks to the wedding, and she's run off with Marine and leaves a note.
Lom knows her! He was not phased by this at all, when—after he's done putting on his jilted groom act, he's laughing. He's like, ‘I know what that cheeky girl did, I can't believe she did this without telling me. Look at this stupid note! I can read between the lines.’ [laughs] And then they call her, and she's like, ‘I knew you would understand my note. That's my boy, don't fuck this up! I'll take this on for you.’ Yiwa takes on the social pariah role here, of being the lesbian who ran away the day of the wedding, leaving Lom at the altar, ‘how dare she?’
The power here is that Yiwa doesn't give a fuck anymore. That's the whole thing about heteronormative shame: it only matters where you can exert that influence over people. Yiwa and Marine said, we cannot exist the way we want to, so we are leaving and going somewhere else. That is a choice a lot of us choose to make: to leave our home communities, to go build community with other people elsewhere. And then she gives Lom the ability to spin that, to soft launch his relationship with Nuea. Because they don't come out as a couple for like six months after that. They put on the act of Lom being a drunken mess for monthshe's fine. He's just spraying alcohol on himself and then going to work with his hair unkempt.
NiNi
Episode 7’s so delightful. But anyway, continue.
Ben
And he's just hanging out with Nuea, and he just tells people, ‘yeah, we bonded over the wedding stuff because we had a lot of work to do really quickly for the wedding, and you know he felt sympathy for me afterwards. And he took care of me at a really difficult time, and I feel comfortable with him. I loved Yiwa, she was the only woman I was ever willing to marry.’
Not a lie! But also not the exact truth.
NiNi
I loved the big lie at the end, because it was basically Lom, Yiwa, and everybody in the situation putting two giant middle fingers up at their society, and the people around them. Aside from the people who, as you rightly said, would have protected them anyway. So all the women in Nuea’s life, and the people who he works with at the wedding planning company—basically the people who earned the right to know the truth know the truth. And everybody else gets two giant fucking middle fingers and the big lie.
Ben
It's a little bit like the ending with Bad Buddy, about them breaking up publicly but still being together? It's the same question: who is allowed to know? Something for you to think about, if you didn't get this show and you hated Lom and all this sort of stuff—ask yourself if the queer people in your life trust you. Would you be brought in? Would you be trusted with this information? Lom's mother realizes along the way what was going on the whole time, because she's not stupid. And she says quite plainly—because Lom has not properly come out to her yet, he's been hinting at it, he's like, I feel comfortable with him—and she says, ‘I'm still doing what I need to do to process this, but just promise me you won't leave.’
What she recognized is that she was playing a zero sum game that she could lose. That her son could make the same choice as Yiwa. She recognized that he and Yiwa were likely withholding important information about themselves, from their parents, for a really long time. And that can be really unsettling. It's something I went through in my family when I started coming out, that people were very put off by how I just…hid hugely important portions of my life from them, for most of my life. And she recognized that if she pushed too hard, she would get nothing.
NiNi
It really is the Bad Buddy conundrum, because this is where their parents are at the end, where they know, but if they're not willing to fully be on board? Then they don't get to fully know. And they don't get to be fully involved. Lom's mom knows, but until and unless she's willing to wholeheartedly accept Nuea there will always be now, at this point, a barrier between her and her son. All she can ask of him is that he doesn't leave. But beyond that, she doesn't get to ask anything of him, until and unless she is ready to fully accept every part of who he is. I can't believe that came from MAME's pen.
29:23 - Things we love about Wedding Plan and final ratings
Ben
Something else I really love—I really love the community around Nuea, particularly his family. I love when he goes back to Chiang Mai, and he sees that his little cousin is also out and proud now and has a hot boyfriend. And I love that Sun, Ryu’s boyfriend, is immediately engaged in in-law solidarity with Sailom. Nuea’s family hates him, and he's like, ‘valid.’ Like, ‘If you want to stay here, you got to work.’ ‘Okay.’ And he just works. Nuea's family is protecting Nuea from someone who they think doesn't respect him. Everything mean that they're doing to Sailom is because they are protecting Nuea, and it's really not that much, what they're asking. They're basically just giving him a difficult time, until Nuea decides what to do with him. But Sun is helping him the whole time, he's like, ‘this family's very difficult, I got you bro.’ And that pairs really well with the phone call that Nuea has with Yiwa and Marine, where Yiwa is like, ‘Lom and I do love each other. That is my ride or die: it's been me and him for a long time. I'm not going to pretend that he is not the most important man in my life, but he's not who I'm building my future with.’
And I love that for Yiwa and Sailom, it is love between them. The heteros just misread it. They don't have to fake an admiration for each other. I love that Marine talks to Nuea, and talks about the sincerity of their feelings, and how she's okay, at this point. Because she's the only person that Nuea can really accept any sort of perspective from, and I'm really glad that they had that moment and that was just them.
NiNi
I love that in that moment she doesn't try to convince him of anything. She just says, ‘I can't tell you what to do. This is a crazy situation: here's what I accepted about this, here's why I accepted it. These people are good people.’
Ben
Right! She says their love is sincere.
NiNi
‘Yeah, but whatever decision you make I completely get, because I made my choice. You're gonna have to make your own choice as well.’ She spoke to Nuea very candidly, and I truly appreciated that, and I think that Nuea definitely appreciated that too.
Ben
I love the reveal about Sailom's hands always being cold because he was nervous.
NiNi
Ehhhh [laughs] It was one of those romance things that I'm just like ‘eh!’ about, but it was adorable. It was.
Ben
I really like Pak in this role. A lot of the times when MAME writes her ukes, they tend to be a little bit on the demure side, and they usually need a stern counterbalancing presence for them? I really like that Nuea did not need that at all. I also liked how queer Namnuea felt. He very much feels like a gay boy.
NiNi
I love stories about love and family, and this is one of the ultimate love and family stories. For me, and I can't believe I'm saying this, when it comes to love and family, it's going maybe a half step behind Moonlight Chicken this year for me? I can't believe that just came out of my mouth about a MAME show. But that's really truly how I feel about it. For me, it was a 10.
Ben
I ended up giving this show a 9.5. It's one of the ones that's going to linger with me for a while, and I think a big part of it was just how much everyone else really hated the show. I think we went into this show with a lot of MAME blinders on—I knowingly went into the show hostile. I don't really like a lot of what MAME does. But, respectfully, watching a MAME show—the writer famous for writing romances about boundary crossing—and being mad that her characters are crossing boundaries? Is a little bit disingenuous of a place to write your criticism from. That's her shtick.
Nuea crosses those boundaries too! Nuea had agency, and I really resent the way a lot of the takes damsel him and make him seem powerless. He's not! He is the one with all the power here. It's why Sailom is pouring everything he can into, every time he says ‘I like you, Nuea.’ Sailom is such a sap, and y'all really hated that man. And I really need y'all to reckon with that. Like if you listened to us and you hated Sailom, please, examine your life. [laughs]
NiNi
I have a smidge of sympathy up until episode 4, for anybody who struggled a little bit with Sailom. But only up until episode 4. Because somewhere to the beginning, middle of episode 4, it was very clear what they were driving towards? And then at the end of episode 4 when Sailom and Nuea hook up for the first time, I said to myself, ‘Okay. I see where this is going.’ And then when they get to Chiang Mai, and Sailom finally tells Nuea what happens, because Marine and Yiwa have given their okay, and Nuea said, ‘Duh. Clearly that's what's going on, I already knew that.’ Nuea wasn't fooled by Sailom.
Ben
No, Nuea basically guessed 90% of it accurately. The only thing he didn't really guess, was that they were both in on it. Let me say this as well while we're here: in terms of queer solidarity, Namnuea never once outed Yiwa when he caught her out with Marine. He did not mention that once. Not at all. He ain't tell none of his hoes. He ain’t tell none of his people. He caught those two out, was like ‘oh shit, is my gaydar broken?’ And then he didn't say shit about that. He didn't even hold that up in his whole thing with Sailom. And I respect the fuck out of that man for that, because that’s not his thing to say.
NiNi
The show is amazing.
Ben
It really is.
NiNi
It's, for me, an easy cruise into some type of VIIB Award at the end of the year.
Ben
It's gonna be a difficult year for us, when we're sorting out acknowledging the incredible work that's been done, but this is one of them.
NiNi
Delightful, emotional, deeply gratifying, deeply satisfying. Ben gave this a 9.5, I gave it a 10, let's call it a 9.75.
Ben
It can get a 10 from The Conversation.
NiNi
You heard it here first, folks: Ben says it can get a 10 from The Conversation. MAME gets a 10 from us, and nobody is more surprised than us—
Ben
It’s true.
NiNi
—that that is a thing that happened [laughs] on this show.
Ben
I feel so intense about this show. I get so mad about the discourse around Sailom. He's one of those characters, like, if you don't like him? I don't like you. Fuck off.
[both laugh]
NiNi
And that’s…a word!
37:26 - And another thing! The Wedding Plan special
Ben
And we're back! I have so much more to say, I am not through. [laughs]
NiNi
So before we get into Ben's ‘and another thing!...’ Let's talk a little bit about the Wedding Plan special, because there was a special episode, that cost $8.
Ben
[laughs] I paid $7 for my rental.
NiNi
However much it costs, it costs money. Which I'm slightly salty about because MAME had McDonald's money on this, she didn't need ours.
Ben
In her defense, she has done this on literally every show. Except for Love by Chance…and Don't Say No.
NiNi
McDonald's money. That's all I'm going to say.
Ben
And she cashed in! Good for her.
NiNi
[laughs] Anyway, so let's talk a little bit about the Wedding Plan special. Ben, tell the people what it was about.
Ben
The show's fucking called Wedding Plan. It was the fucking wedding, guys, let’s—we're not going to beat around the fucking bush on this one. It was the wedding for the gays! It was really beautiful. The basic premise is, the guys have been dating properly for what feels like a year, year and a half at this point. They're taking a trip to go back to see Namnuea's family. Before they leave, they have one final check-in with Lom's mom, where she meets Nuea properly as Lom's boyfriend. She doesn't take it very well, but Sailom does not give a shit.
Meanwhile Sailom is working with Wiwa Square to organize a secret wedding for Namnuea. Hilariously, Im still does not like Sailom, and I thought that was an excellent character detail. So they go and travel back to the north, and Sailom has Nuea taking him around—I think they were in Chiang Mai?—to check out sites and locations while everyone else has moved to Namnuea's house to set up for this wedding that Namnuea doesn't know about. Lom proposes to him, they end up having the wedding the next day. It's this incredibly beautiful ceremony, it’s very traditional Thai, I believe. There's more I want to say about some of the stuff that happened at the wedding, but that's the basic premise: Lom organizes a wedding for Namnuea, and his friends plan it in secret. Which I actually think is lovely for a wedding planner, that he didn't have to plan his own wedding.
NiNi
That's the crux of it. You guys know, I am not the one the two or the three for these weddings. I believe in marriage. I believe in the importance of marriage. I am generally not a fan of the weddings. But, this one? It was beautiful, I do have to say. It was a beautiful wedding, everything around the wedding was beautiful. When I was talking about Wedding Plan in the main part of the show, I was talking about how much I love love and family. And that was what the wedding episode was about, it was love and family. Yiwa and Marine were there at the wedding, being Sailom's family, because while his mom is starting to come around to Nuea, she's still not there yet. So she doesn't get to be a part of this. So Yiwa and Marine are his family. They show up for him. They are hosting on his behalf. It's beautiful. It's just so beautiful.
Ben
I did not praise Pakpai enough in our recording; Pakpai’s reaction, as Nuea, to Yiwa appearing before him, for this wedding that he had just found out about? Is one of the most perfect expressions I’ve seen all year.
NiNi
Because he hasn't seen them since they left for England.
Ben
I am a gay boy who believes in community. And believes in gay people taking care of each other. And that means that I have worked in solidarity with lesbians. And it is such a beautiful thing for me, in this year of really good shows, to see two lesbians in a critical role in the lives of gay men. There's something so special about the unconditional, ride or die love between Yiwa and Lom, and how that extends to Marine and Nuea, and creates this very special little family unit. I cannot overstate how important it is to me that Nuea almost cried because he was overwhelmed with emotion getting to see Yiwa in front of him again, and for a wedding that he had just found out about. That was his first reaction: awe, and then he burst into tears because he loved her so much and had missed her for that long. That is so beautiful!
As for the other things in the special…The ceremony itself is really beautiful. There's a lot of really great moments in there. There's this very special moment between Namnuea and Im, where she comes to pay respects, and he takes her hand, and he says ‘I love you’ in this way that conveys a very special history between the two of them? That sent me over the edge and I burst into tears right away. [laughs] I do not know what those two have been through together, but that ‘I love you’ was one of the most effective I love yous I have ever experienced in this genre, and it was not between romantic leads at all.
NiNi
We always go up for the non-romantic I love yous in BL. lt's the Jim and Li Ming thing all over again. Namnuea’s co-workers being there for him at his wedding, the way that they put it together for him, the way that Marine and Yiwa stepped in to be Lom's family, the way Nuea’s actual family stepped in as well. There's a gorgeous scene, after the actual wedding ceremony, where they do—I suppose this is another traditional part of a Thai wedding, which is a bedding?—where Nuea's parents are with them in the room, and talking to them about love and commitment and marriage, and that's the part that put me into tears.
Ben
It was really funny, because like we had not really seen any of the dads in the show. Moms were a big deal in the show. Nuea’s dad is just this sweet man! It was overwhelming for me, how just beautifully sweet this man was, and the way he was pouring love out to Sailom, because he's like, ‘I never thought Nuea would get to have this.’ Nuea, the wedding planner, who spends so much of his time trying to make sure other people's dreams come true? I was floored by his dad just being there: ‘I just wanted my son to be happy, and I'm so thankful that you were able to do that for him.’ And I was like, ‘I don't know who you are sir, but good job!’
NiNi
It was really really gorgeous, and just so many other things…also the stuff that's happening between Sailom and Nuea. The way that Sailom proposes, and the way that Nuea knew it was coming but he still got surprised by the way that it happened? That was gorgeous. And then again, after the wedding and after the bedding, when it's just the two of them in the room, and Nuea does the thing where he pays respect to his husband? And says that that's something that he always wanted to do? The way that these two take marriage so seriously, and especially the way that Nuea feels about it. Because like I said, Nuea is a wedding planner; he sees weddings every day. He sees these rituals and ceremonies and everything every day. And I can just imagine him sitting thinking to himself, ‘one day, one day, and this is something that I want to do with my husband, and this is something that I want to do with my husband’—I can just imagine that. And then meeting Sailom and falling in love with Sailom and actually getting to marry Sailom, and being able to do that, and the way that he is so emotional about that. Mmh! Got me right in the feels.
The reason that I tend not to like weddings is because a lot of the time I find them so artificial, so stage managed and overproduced. I'm talking about this not just in terms of weddings in fiction, but weddings in real life. So, watching something so sincere, something so genuine, something so personal… t’s a production, yes, all weddings are, but it was real! Everything about it was so real, it was so emotional, it was so…[sigh] it was great. It was fantastic. I thoroughly enjoyed that. I cried more than once watching the special. It just added to the joy of discovering Wedding Plan and this whole little universe and these characters.
Ben
There was a lot of little stuff happening around that. Like, one of the things that I think MAME is actually pretty good at, is really caring about her supporting cast in a useful way? She's very good about understanding why that character is there. There's Yiwa and Marine getting to have a private moment, being a little bit sad that they didn't get to have this, a Thai wedding with the people who love them around them. And I like that they got to have, like a quiet bitter moment about that. And I like that they didn't put that on Lom and Nuea, it's not something that they need to be consoled about, it's just one of those things that hurts about being queer sometimes, and that's part of the choice they made. They did take on that hurt, to give the boys a chance to be together, but it still hurt, and I like that the show never forgot that. This show cared about its lesbians, they mattered to this story, they weren't there just to check off boxes to make sure that we covered all of our bases. They were still telling their story.
I love Sun and Ryu listening at their goddamn bedroom, and then having to be chased off. Great comedy. But also I loved it, I loved that there were younger gays excited about gays slightly older than them getting to have their moment together. It was such a special execution of that.
I genuinely like that the Wedding Plan special episode is treated as a special episode. I like where the show ends for itself. I like thinking about the wedding as a special epilogue for the story, and not necessarily as the actual finale of the story. I think it's better as epilogue content.
NiNi
I have to agree! So all in all, when it comes down to Wedding Plan, looking back at it now, I think we definitely stand by how we felt about it. I think that… I have, you know Ben has, gotten even more in love with it? And even more, I think, defensive and vocal about it, because it's good! It's just good. And I don't like people saying it's not! That's it for me.
Ben
This is the number 4 or 5 show of the year for me.
NiNi
Yeah, there you have it.
Ben
Currently it's behind—in no specific order because we're not at the VIIB Awards yet—Moonlight Chicken, My School President, La Pluie, and probably The Eighth Sense? It's that good!
I am in this genre for queer cinephile reasons. I am here to connect with people for gay reasons. I'm not in this for, like, taboo, or to see cute boys kiss each other because it's titillating in and of itself. I exist as a queer person, it informs my decisions on the regular, and it was such a relief to see characters that were not incidentally gay, so that we can imagine two idols bumpin’ uglies.
I really love Sailom and Namnuea so much. Sailom got updated to blorbo status so quickly. Every week I'll just send NiNi a gif of Sailom and be like, ‘they really hated this man!’
[both laugh]
NiNi
He's not even kidding, this literally happens.
Ben
[laughs] It’ll just, just be a great gif that somebody made of Sailom and I’ll be like, ‘they really hated this man!’
Something else I want to say quite plainly here, and I would like you, as listeners of the podcast to reckon with this—and I would really like to talk about this, so please talk to me on Tumblr about this: Part of why I think Wedding Plan did not hit for people, is that Namnuea doesn't look like a girl, and doesn't behave like a girl. He behaves like a kind of femme man, and he feels very gay, in a way that is distinctly masculine. Additionally, the show doesn't really conform to a seme-uke dynamic very well, because Namnuea does seme things—like I noticed in episode 2 that he does a kabedon on Sailom. And I know that bothered a lot of the people who are obsessed with loyalty to the tropes. Namnuea is so self-assured, and I don't necessarily think that that resonated for the people who are in this for BL reasons and for regular romance beats. And I wonder a lot if that was their big problem.
I would really like to have a secondary conversation with the folks who listen to us about this particular dynamic, because I do think it's worth us unpacking why people—as much shit that gets talked about MAME—refused to engage with the show. This is legitimately one of the top queer narratives of the year. And we snubbed this show. I have watched people talk shit about MAME and her writing for five fucking years, and when she writes a whole show that is basically the byproduct of all of our feedback, we snubbed it! When MAME returns to her roots, I don't want to hear none of y’all who snubbed Wedding Plan saying a goddamn thing about her.
NiNi
I'm so mad at you for saying when MAME returns to her roots. Like this was clearly a fluke.
Ben
She's gonna be like Jafar! She's going to be like, ‘let's see how snakelike I can be, bitches!’
NiNi
So you definitely are of the view that this is not a change for MAME, this is just a detour.
Ben
I don't know! I don't know, like I was not expecting Wedding Plan. This show has so much goddamn heart to it, and it was gay! In a real way!
NiNi
I think you need to start subscribing to my vibes-based scoring method.
Ben
What? Absolutely not!
[both laugh]
Nah, it's always about the recommends. Legitimately, it's a 10 recommend. Everyone needs to go fucking watch this show. This is essential viewing for this year. This show represents a fascinating growth point for MAME; because we've criticized her for five years and she made something that is one of the most wholesome gay things I have ever watched in the genre. And we snubbed it, and threw it away.
To the cast of Wedding Plan: you all did a fantastic job, and I hope you all had a really fun time together. I want to thank every single one of you for the work you all did, because you all collectively created one of the most compelling community support systems I've ever seen in queer TV, truly. Especially to all of the women who are on that cast. BL women get messed around a lot, and don't often get to do a lot of great stuff, and every single one of you did a fantastic job.
NiNi
That is going to wrap us up on the Wedding Plan episode. We out! Say bye to the people, Ben.
Ben
Y’all better watch this fucking show. Peace.

Miss Dizzy (covered in blood) if you’re reading this I am free on Thursday night. If you would like to hang out I am free on Thursday night when I am free to hang out.
Kind of in love with how meta this one is.
I referred heavily to the official GGXX (Dizzy ED 1&2) script for this one, but as always, if you understand Japanese and retranslate this, let me know.
ID in alt.
Cleaned and original comics under the cut.
I've just realized that not everybody has played Guilty Gear XX, so I'll supply context.
You reach Dizzy's Ending 1 by losing the last battle against I-no. In GGXX, there are routes and endings you can reach by losing battles, unlike Accent Core. The comic is making fun of how the player / Dizzy has lost against I-no 7 (and now, 8) times, making this the 7th/8th time they've gotten ending 1 instead of ending 2.
For her Ending 2, you have to beat I-no in that battle and then beat her once again. Between those two battles, Dizzy loses control of herself and her powers (giving the player Dizzy's boss powers for the next fight). At the end of the fight, Dizzy is about to lose complete control of her powers when Sol comes around and stops them. In the game, Dizzy has a very demure CG where she holds a hand to her chest, relieved that she's regained control of her powers and herself.
The joke here is that Dizzy isn't demure and innocent; she's covered in blood and utterly pissed at I-no for the difficulty of the boss fight.
If you're curious to watch the endings yourself, KillerForte has uploaded them on Youtube.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
My beautiful wife, the Copy Stamp...
Anyway this might compete for 'favorite comic that doesn't involve a favorite character', because. Look at dizzy. Fucking look at her. Daisuke if you bring Dizzy back for Strive please cover her in blood.
Nothing to say here, translation wise. I-no uses a specific term in Japanese for [ woman or girl who acts cute by playing innocent and helpless ], [ ぶりっこ ]. Wish we had something like that in English; facade and deceptive don't clarify what the facade IS.
I've had this on my agenda to translate for ages, but always got intimidated out of it because of the tons of messy and complex fonts / handwriting. And then it turned out super easy. There's a message there.
@.yomotsu-hirasaka helped me check over April's call-out and the I-no in the first panel.
I-no's hot here. It's always great when she inflicts violence on others without threatening other forms of harm *cough, cough, Bridget AC Path 2*.

Future Husband Pick a Card (1-3)
I'm sure you all know how it works! Just relax and let your intuition guide you to choose your pile 🌕. Take what resonates and leave the rest. I am very honest and will not sugar coat what I see. Please don't hesitate to tell me what resonated with you! I welcome all to interact 🤝
Hello everyone! Welcome to my tarot blog. This is my first post ever, and a pick a card reading (1, 2, 3- cards) 🥰😍🥀
Pile 1:
Page of Wands
Tumblr media
- First and foremost, it COULD indicate he's younger- if not, he may seem younger with his demeanor. More than likely, he may have approached you first. He'll be the first you one hear when you walk into a room.
In the beginning stages, this person will feel like a breath of fresh air. They are lively and outgoing. Always inviting you to join them on outings with friends or see and experience new places.
They are very social and ready to be on the go-go go. If you're not, it doesn't matter. They'll go because they're ready. Decisive and quick. However, it may not always be thought out. This person tends to be optimistic and may seem naive, but do not berate them. Sharp and witty, they stand their ground. They do not like to be held back and smothered. They seek fun and spontaneity, keep them on their toes. At times, you may feel like this man flakes out on you because he is so quick to do other things or entertain himself with others. He may forget things easily, such as planned dates or activities, anniversaries, or make sudden changes.
Their curiosity and openess will show you how to appreciate the moment and accept changes. It's okay to experience new things. If something is wrong, they will confront you, and they will expect the same from you. Be open and honest, and communicate with patience. They're not afraid to voice their opinion and say it how they see it. Friends and family love and adore their presence, which brings warmth and laughs all around.
Please remember, we all change with time, and some things may remain, but nothing lasts forever. Take what resonates and leave the rest.
Pile 2:
King of Wands Reversed.
Tumblr media
- He's definitely the one to approach you. Could be someone older or someone in an authority position.
This man may appear aggressive, often displaying signs of frustration or impatience. Can be very controlling and dominant overall. He has natural charisma and a fiery intellect, making it difficult to get a word in with him. Stubborn and hot-headed, he will likely dislike opposing views or opinions. People's views of him are black and white. Few understand him. There could be a problem with respecting those above him or taking consideration from others in general. There are few to maybe none that he cares for, but if he does care, he is fiercely protective over them and will come to their side to defend them. Even blindly.
About action, he's the one to get it done and have a go get it now attitude. Either do it or don't. Prone to impulsiveness and hypocrisy, his actions may bring upon consequences he isn't ready to handle and will break down in a tantrum.
Not afraid to approach others, he is relentless with his pursuits. On the good days, his humor and smiles are a sight to see and hear. Captivating and charming, people are drawn to him or are intimidated by him. His humor isn't everyone's cup of tea. It may be crude.
Highly competitive, spats between him and others are frequent. He hates losing and hates being wrong.
To be with this man, thick skin is needed along with groundedness. With you, he can be very loving, but ill tempered and stubborn.
He's very likely a traditional man who wants a traditional wife and family with him as head of the household. Although earlier in life, he may have had a desire of the opposite for the short term.
Please note that the future is not set in stone. Take what resonates and leave the rest.
Pile 3:
Ace of Cups
Tumblr media
- This man off the bat is an emotionally intuitive man. More likely to be reserved with his words, but expressive with his love and affections. Expressive eyes with intent prying into your soul. He enjoys private moments with you and goes out of his way to get you alone. It may seem unintentional, but it's not. It may be a love at first sight, or rather, when they fall in love- they fall hard.
There could be this feeling of a deep connection between the two of you that feels familiar yet so foreign. However, do not drown with the feeling. Learn to swim with it, or it will create false imaginations of the other person. You open up this person's inner world, and they want to pour into your cup endlessly. Sometimes, feelings can become intense, and a struggle to sort through emotions with each other can be difficult. Therefore, there can be spurts of emotional outbursts. Clear communication is very important with this man.
Being one to love deeply, he can hold a grudge and keep score of what wrong he thinks you've done to him. He might think he loves you more than you love him. This man wants you to be open with your love and reciprocate his feelings with the same intensity. When you are in an emotional frenzy from work or a bad day, he's the one to comfort and feel you. He'd go out of his way to make you feel better. If he can't, he will beat himself up for it. People close to him are few, even if it seems like there is a whole crowd around him. He's the go-to therapist or listener for folks, and it may get to him from time to time, so please allow him some space when needed.
Some days, he may seem hot and cold, but that's just likely because he isn't feeling anything that particular day or hour. Or he is in his head thinking about anything. As all humans do.
Love each other truly and not just love itself. It is easy to get lost in love and forget the person. Take what resonates and leave the rest.
Please remember, take what resonates, and leave the rest. One card does not describe everything about a person, and it is not the end all be all. Nothing is set in stone. People change - we all change.
Once again, please let me know what resonates and tell me what'd you like to see from me. 💫

hi! if you're still answering questions...I think you mentioned you found a life partner without dating. as a person who is thinking they might be asexual but might still want a life partner... I was just curious about how that happened for you. (please feel free to ignore if this is too personal!)
Ah, man. First, no, it's not too personal! I just delayed long enough to check in with my housemate to make sure he didn't mind me talking about this.
But for us it just- sort of happened naturally. I've known my housemate for 27 years at this point and we met when he was a customer at the RPG store I ran. Then at some point I joined a game of his and then he joined a game of mine and we started talking as more than customer-manager? And then he joined the people I took home with me at night (I hated going home to an empty house so I was constantly bringing guys home with me lmao, I don't know WHAT my neighbours thought but they were legit only coming over to hang out and play more games) and then I realised he literally lived on my route home and I started knocking on his window at 2am on my way home from work and hanging out with him there for a bit, and then we went from friendly acquaintances to actual friends, and then "that friend I will ring when I'm having a bad day, pls come over and bring me something to eat" and then he wanted to move out of home and I could no longer afford living on my own and had bounced around homeless a bit and so we rented a house together. Which was rough as hell to begin with because I do not play nice with people in my living space and so I nearly moved OUT again, but by the nature of struggling to run a business and having no money we ended up living together long enough we got used to each other's rough edges and then. Then we just KEPT living together. And a lot of life happened and we just got used to living with each other, and we've always been just friends-- I mean when we first moved in, I was still dating! We didn't even know asexuality was a thing back then. (Or at least I didn't, he might have. It didn't come up. For me, I was still engaged in "fake it until you make it???" which is the fun game of the asexual when you don't realise you're asexual.) But over time it became-- well, still friends but kind of like married friends, because we just knew each other too well and could balance each other out. When I finally was introduced to the concept of asexuality (I was 35 by that point jeez) I was so relieved I just settled right into the concept of living with my best friend for the rest of eternity. And he's also ace (or Chris Hemsworth-sexual as he puts it) and we're just... comfortable together. And know each other's minds to a very startling degree, the amount we're in sync is hilarious sometimes. Last year we bought a house together, so that cements we're just gonna live together forever. I kept this as brief as possible because you would not believe how many times I wanted to go off on tangents about the kind of incredibly decent man I live with. I have no sexual attraction or desire for intimacy of any kind, but I love him all the same. He's like a best friend/brother/something other. And... there was no plan to it, it all happened naturally. Which is probably not helpful to you I'm afraid-- we didn't plan to avoid dating and go straight to life partnering, it just happened. But all I can say is to wish you well, anon, and to also say: aces and aros tend to gather together. When I realised I was ace, I discovered a great many of my friends were also ace, because... like recognises like, I guess. And that means that if you're ace, the chances you're just gonna gravitate naturally to other aces and have a chance of just progressing into something warm and long term with one of them is a lot greater than zero. I hope for all the best for you. ♥

His Pet
Alastor X OC
Chapter 8
Rosie joined them in the parlor with a tray of tiny sandwiches and a pot of tea. “Alright Alastor, what seems to be the problem? You know I don't normally do relationship advice for free.”
He sighed, and his eyes gave an apologetic look alongside his smile. “I know my dear, I can offer a few other souls under my command if you desire. But I am in a rather unusual situation.” He motioned towards Zariah, who was just happily sipping the tea that was poured for her, tails swishing lazily.
Rosie looked at her, “I'm gonna need a little more explanation than that Alastor. You know you're ace right?”
Zariah's ears perked up and she raised her hand slightly, “so am I!”
He raised an eyebrow, “what does me being exceptional have to do with… this arrangement I've found myself in?” He was genuinely confused, but Zariah decided to help.
“Oh! Ace is short for Asexual in this case! A term for those who don't experience sexual attraction. Some can still enjoy those kinds of encounters to please their partner, while others are completely repulsed by the idea of participating. I'm in the second category, too many fluids, ick.” She scrunched her face, then went back to sipping her tea like nothing was said.
Rose nodded, “ah, alright, then maybe you two won't be that bad of a match after all. You're quite the well informed little thing aren't ya?”
Zariah purred at the compliment, “thank you, ma'am. Did Al bring me here because you're good at relationship advice?”
“That's right sweetie! Now, what kind of relationship are we looking at here?”
“Well, she claims to be in love with me, but I have my doubts about these claims. I own her soul, but I feel she got more out of the deal than I realized, and I'm more than a little angry about it.”
Rosie raised an eyebrow, “really now? She got the upper hand on you? Now that is surprising.” She turned her attention back to Zariah, “do you really love him dear?”
Zariah nodded, “I'd do anything for him. I already told him all I want is platonic affections, but he doesn't seem to believe me. I  mean, I'd like cuddle time and mayyybe a few forehead or cheek kisses. But I'm not gonna force him into any of that if he doesn't like touching.”
Alastor sighed and pet the top of her head, causing her to purr. “She does seem to enjoy physical affection quite a bit. So I suppose I am inclined to believe that part.”
“Oh, I did think of something else that might upset you that I should tell you about. But, how comfortable are you with Auntie Rosie knowing the details of our deal?” She looked up at Alastor.
He pulled his hand back, “Ah, dear. Of course you would. I'm starting to expect this from you.” She could tell he wanted to grimace despite his smile. “Well, go ahead. There's nothing about our deal that she could use against me.” He tried to sound confident and unbothered, but she kept surprising him at every turn.
She nodded and made the chain from their soul deal appear. It was still a collar around her neck, but this time, it was a mix of green and blue, and the other half was shackled to his wrist. Alastor looked at it with wide eyes. He was screaming inside his head, and a screeching radio static could be heard coming from him.
Rosie looked worried as well, “Oh my… that's no good. Zariah, what kind of deal did you make?”
“He owns my soul, and he has to be my protector and caretaker.”
Rosie sighed, looking relieved “Is that all? Alright. Sweetie, mind if Alastor and I talk alone for a while? Let me have you wait in another room for a bit.”
Zariah looked at Alastor, who was still staring at the shackle and seemingly broken. She nodded and made it disappear.
“Okay… maybe I should have kept this to myself…” She felt terrible, she'd hurt him so much lately, when all she wanted to do was make him happy… there had to be something she could do right. Right?
Once she was put aside, Rosie looked at Alastor, and sighed. He was still staring at his wrist even though the chain was gone. The screeching had stopped at least.
She walked over to him and waved her hand in front of his face, “Alastor, wake up.” He blinked and looked up at her.
“Rosie, I don't know how this happened.”
“I know dear, but it'll be fine. I'll help you however you need, but first I need to know what you want.” She put a hand on one of his hands, kneeling next to his chair. He looked at her, his only real friend in hell. The one person he could actually trust in this nightmare of a place.
“I… don't know what I want. Her powers are extremely useful to me… and she's a delight to be around when she's not stressing me to the point of madness.”
Rosie nodded, “does she make you feel warm and fluttery inside?”
He nodded back, “sometimes…” He gripped a hand at his stomach, remembering how he felt when she healed him, and how she felt in his arms carrying her, and how soft her fur and hair were…
“Hm, then I think you care really deeply for her. Only you can put a name to it, but my instincts say it might be some form of love.” His nose wrinkled for a second as she said this.
“Now don't give me that look, you know there's different kinds of love. Like our friendship, I'm comfortable saying I love ya. And so is she. I think she wanted you to be attached to her so she can care for you. She seems to be a romantic at heart from what I can tell. Now, I'm gonna let you think for a bit about your feelings, and I'm gonna go learn more about her and see if you two really are compatible or not.”
She patted his hand and got up.
He was left alone with the finger sandwiches, and started snacking while left with his thoughts. What is it that he felt for her? She was just supposed to be a pet. Something to play with like Husker and Nifty. But… she was so unapologetically sincere and kind. She was also weak and innocent. A proper gentleman protects and cares for those who are weaker. He hadn't really lost any control or power. He needed to care for her to keep her around as well to use her powers when he needed them… Ah, he really was being silly, wasn't he? She hadn't done anything to deserve his animosity, he truly was being an ass. He needed to fix things, he supposed.
By the time Rosie came back out with Zariah, the entire plate of snacks were gone. “Alright, Alastor. Turns out you got yourself one hell of a catch here and you better not lose her. She's probably the only woman who can handle you, seeing as you have a lot of similarities with her ex. So you two enjoy your queer platonic relationship, and actually talk about your feelings.” She looked at the plate and rolled her eyes, “ugh, you'd eat me out of house and home if you ever stayed for dinner with your appetite! Go on, you and I can talk later about payment for the help. Just call it an owed favor for now.”
He stood up and bowed, “Ladies, I'm sorry I made such a fool of myself earlier. I fear I must admit, there's something going on that has had me out of sorts lately. I promise to get a better handle on myself.”
Zariah smiled and walked over, hugging him as soon as he straightened back up.
“I know. It's okay Al, we'll get through this together.” She purred, and he felt that warm fuzziness again. And he felt less sore… was she healing him?! Is that what the “butterflies” feeling was all along?! Oh thank god that made more sense. He sighed and smiled softly, hugging her back. He didn't usually like touch, but… he could make her an exception. Sometimes.
Rosie smiled, “aww, that's just adorable! If you can really learn to trust each other, you two really will stand the test of time.”

Imagining when Mc is older and since Crowley mf lazy bitch never found us a way home we might end up being the principle at one point and our friends become teachers well some of them.
Like just imagine you go to a school where it's for magic and then you see your principle magicless and you then see them being able to handle everyone like a parent would. Like Mc scolding Leona (if he ever would) for falling asleep in class as he's giving a lecture. Ruggie had to end up combining classes so no one failed.
Omg Lilia tring ti be the lunch Lady but Silver and Sebek stopping him and letting him be a history teacher. Sebek and Jack are the P.E. teachers making sure kids know when tot are a break and also having a good workout method.
Malleus posing in the school every once in a while sicne he wanted to see his friend. Omfg all the Fae students losing their head seeing their king at their school and picking but see him turn into a puppy beign scolded because Mc knows he's really busy and dosent need to visit so much.
Mc being the most incredible principle Crowley always failed to be. And ohohohohohoh there's a student that came to this school just like them. They give them Ramshackle since there wasn't any magicless students. And us breaking every rule and connecting everything we learn to try and get them back and not have them like us. How we never seen our family.
But the student wants to stay so we take them as our apprentice of how to handle over bloating. And knowing how to protect themselves since we never had that for us.
Omg- Grim finding a lady friend and having children. He mellowed out after graduation and is one the protectors of the school. His wife and Family protect the school and we let monsters join the school too. Grim's eldest child 'Chaos' Grim wanted that because he saw his eldest causing chaos since he was born taking an likening to the magicless student.
Grim encouraging his child to go befriend them so they have a human friend like he did. Mc getting treay eyed when they first meet and now the two students are inseparable.
Epel helps the kids when they feel too feminine aor masculine sicne he had those proples and even Vil combines in to help them. Omg the new generation of Beanfest Rook being the one that overlooks everything.
There's still the older teachers since they want to be able to help the newer generations.
Crewel being so happy his Puppies grew up to amazing teachers and an better Principle Crowley ever was. Crewel also helps Mc when they wanted to try and bring the magicless student back home.
Trien being the old teacher everyone loves and pops in time to time to help Lilia with history lessons.
Idia making the school more tech-savvy along with Ortho's help. Vil being the new potions teacher along with Rook.
Ace is one of the vice principals along with Deuce. They let kids get away with lots of things since they wanted to have fun. Mc chuckles when Ace scolds some kids for bulling. Deuce helping delinquent kids who want to change.
Carter running a school account and that fun teacher that everyone likes might make him the art teacher but he is a helper.
Trey is the lunch man everyone is in love with. He's so nice to all new students and will give extra to people who feel homesick. Uses his special magic ability to make some foods to taste like home for them.
Riddle helping Mc make new rules for the school and making sure that the kids know what is and isn't ok to do. And even has a assistance that wants to be like him.
Kalim is one of the teachers students go to for a way to cool down or just have fun. He plans the special events for the school when he's not busy rolling rolling country.
Jamil helps Mc when ever he can, but mostly busy with helping kalim rule over the country making sure he dosent mess up. He also helps kids who are from poorer upbringing of how to deal or come to terms with it (Ruggie is there too)
Ambrose is very pleased with the new principle and even helps Mc when ever. They playfully still have the school rivals because it's kinda tradition now. Mc always helps in return.
When there is an overbloat Mc is the one who takes charge so everyone is safe. Every student after that helps one another so something like that never happens again.
This is also the moment where KID (magicless student) wants to be like Mc.

Guess what folks, I've finally decided to make that followup post about the many problems of Dragonborns, the only unique looking race, in Baldur's Gate 3.
My first post was dedicated to critiquing their lacklustre breath weapon but now I'm here to show you how absolutely shafted Dragonborns are in terms of Racial Bonuses.
(Pardon the potato quality of the following images, I play on Console.)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
As we can see here, everybody enjoys a relatively healthy amount of racial bonuses.
(Though if you ask me, Elves, Humans, Gith and Dwarves have way too many bonuses compared to everybody else but bar the point. I also didn't include Halflings or Gnomes due to Image Limit because most of their bonuses come from Subraces.)
So! Lets take a look at our Draconic frie-
Tumblr media
...Oh. Erm- Well, that's problematic. At least they have several subraces and a natural breath weapon, right? Oh wait, it does as much damage as the average cantrip, can be Saved against, lacks range and needs a short rest to recharge after a single use. Yeesh... Well, they still have natural elemental resistance, right? Sure, but it's very situational. Carry around an umbrella and hope it rains, right?
As you can see, Dragonborns have been utterly fucked out of bonuses that don't relate to their breath weapon. Which really sucks, they're such a cool race so to see them get treated like this is saddening.
But worry not! I am not here to simply tear down Larian but I am also here to suggest possible Bonus ideas that could potentially improve the Dragonborns as a whole, which we'll jump right into.
First up, a no-brainer. Dark-Vision.
Tumblr media
I find it very bizarre that almost the entire Race roster has some level of Dark-Vision but the Race descended from the Draconic Family tree has none. Yes, DND rules state that Dark-Vision only manifests in some Dragonborn individuals but come on, BG3 has already taken a few liberties with rules and mechanics from what I've read so is it too much to ask that my Dragonborn can at least see better in the dark?
Next up, we have basic Stat and Save Proficiency suggestions.
Tumblr media
Dragonborns are stated to inheret some level of natural Charisma and Strength from their Draconic Ancestors so it's perfectly in line to give them proficiency in either of the two.
Moving on to my final suggestions are just general ideas. Please, if any of you are more well versed in DND mechanics than I as I'm simply skimming the Fandom Wiki of DND for info on Dragonborn abilities, please correct me or even suggest something better!
Zeal.
It's said that Dragonborns can unleash some inner zeal of sorts which either brings them back from the brink of death (Relentless Endurance), makes their hide get thicker (Increased AC possibility) or even grow retractable claws (Bare-Fist build possibility??) It would be cool to develop at later levels, you can pick either of the three the same way Warlocks can pick Passives.
Better Healing.
Again, stated to heal better than other races. Maybe they can get a 1D4 or 6 bonus healing when healed by any source or heal a certain percentage more during Short Rests?
Finally, we have Dragonfear.
Take note, this ability's implementation would probably be super broken but I just wanna bring attention to it. Some Dragonborns lack Breath Weapons and will instead develop the same terrifying presence of an actual dragon though some can develop both abilities. It could be a cool AOE ability that terrifies nearby enemies with a Draconic Roar. However, actual Dragons in the game don't actually utilise Dragonfear so I don't think Dragonfear would work well outside of Modding.
And that's it. I love Baldur's Gate 3 and Dragonborns but I do think they need some TLC in terms of bonuses. Please leave more suggestions if you think there's better ways to empower them!

Jake Sim (Enhypen) Kinky* Reading
Hello and welcome!
I’m Kleo and I’m here to present some k-pop related tarot readings to you.

I would like to state that all these readings have a purely entertainment nature and their purpose is to bring some fun into my and hopefully yours lives. I have never ever met any of the idols / actors / celebrities in my readings, I don’t know them personally. Tarot reading isn’t an exact science and I can never guarantee any of it. Most of it is my intuition mixed with fantasy. Don’t take these readings seriously and don’t base any important decisions on tarot readings only, use your common sense.
If you wish to request a tarot reading, please read the pinned post on my profile first to see the instructions on how to request. I only do readings for idols / actors / celebrities of 18 years of age or older. Requests for readings including younger people will be automatically dismissed. Jake Sim
Jake (Enhypen)
Deck: E. A. Poe
Spread: Kinky*
Position - VIII Strength
Jake is the dom in a relationship but he’s not a dictator. He expects to be respected and he’s likely to have things his way but his lover will feel secure and calm with him. He’s there to protect them and take care of them. Jake is likely to affect the everyday life of his partner - reminding them of appointments, asking whether they ate something, being interested in what they did during the day.
Libido - Ace of Swords
Jake is a very direct, skilled and meticulous lover. He knows the moves, the techniques, he has his lover’s sweet spots memorised. One will never doubt when he’s feeling racy because he can’t really hide it. Jake is a lover with outstanding stamina and impact. His skills and abilities are superb and breathtaking. His partner should better be someone who can keep up with him.
Turn On - 3 of Pentacles
Jake is likely to be attracted to someone who can handle his pace, who keeps up with his tempo and can be partner to him. Jake admires people with skills who are dedicated to their craft, art or discipline. Shallow nobodies will never catch his eyes. Jake wants someone he can work in a team with, not necessarily in terms of work, he wants a partner for life.
Kink - 10 of Pentacles
We have mentioned Jake’s stamina. And it’s one super strong stamina, same as he’s got a very strong sex drive. He’s an extremely healthy and fit young man and as such he might want to break records. From time to time he might suggest a love making marathon and he will measure how many nights and days he can go on with his lover. Don’t forget to have bottles of water ready to stay hydrated.
Dirtiest Secret* - 8 of Cups
It’s not exactly a dirty secret but Jake would probably never admit it anyway. The truth is that he barely ever feels truly heartbroken from a break up. It’s usually also his decision to part ways with someone and it’s based on the simple fact he finds the person in some way insufficient. Maybe they can’t keep up with him in bed (or all the other places he finds fit), maybe they have betrayed him by flirting with another man. No matter the reason, Jake breaks up without many regrets. He cuts the cord and never looks back.

Open forms and feedback.
As the year comes to a close, I'm still looking to next year to see what I can do for you. As I've said numerous times, we, as a family, are currently doing end of life care for a family member and so when this person passes, I'll probably not be around as much as I grieve. Which leads me into my next point.
Please keep in mind that Patreon will be paused until around March / April 2024, so don't be stressing about that! For the members who know they will still be there, you can still send in requests ready to come back to :) You can see the progress of what will be being posted on there (for here and exclusively for there only) right here, but I haven't been updating this as I've been writing the Christmas pieces.
However, I'm looking for what your evaluation has been for this year and what you're hoping to see more of, both in terms of players and also plots, in 2024 from me. You can help me figure this out by filling out this form. So far 15 out of 3,834 people have filled this out.
For those who are ace, I've noticed in asks and on my above form, that quite a few people have specified that they are ace and I'd like to try and make my writing more inclusive which helps my writing in general. While this form is intended for people who are Ace, it can apply to fluff readers in a big way too.
I would also still love to know what series you're wanting to read more of next year as these will be the chapters I'll be looking to bring to Patreon ASAP. While these aren't all the series that I have planned, they are a big chunk of them. So please let me know what you're wanting to read and I'll make sure the winning series gets updated first. And if you're voting comparison, please leave your thoughts here, and while I love the filling out of the smut aspects, I'm desperate for what you want to see in terms of their progression of their relationship!

As May is Mental Health Awareness month, I have collaborated with @MyNumberStory to spread awareness regarding ACEs (Adverse Childhood Experiences) and childhood adversity! I am honored to share a bit of my own experience growing up in a pressured environment, and how I found art as a means of healing.
*Trigger Warning: self-harm, divorce, emotional abuse, mental illness*
Prior to the hardships I will address, my childhood was a golden thing. I grew up next door to my cousins who served as my sisters, as I was an only child. I did well in school, was immensely social and outgoing, spent summers vacationing in the Outer Banks of North Carolina with my family religiously every August. My father and uncle coached my cousins’ and I’s softball team. Our house settled on a quaint, country 2.5 acres of land at the edge of a quiet Virginia county was a hub for love. My parents were high school sweethearts. As a young girl, I oozed with promise.
When I turned thirteen, life was altered. My father found a new hand to hold behind my mother’s back. My mother turned to excessive drinking to cope. I turned loner. I recall nestling myself in the corner of my bedroom many nights, drowning out the monumental arguments through headphones blaring. Slamming doors. Plates being thrown in the kitchen. I recall so many evenings spent silently crying myself to sleep, desperately wondering where my loving household had gone.
My father moved out. I was thrown into therapy to learn how to navigate my feelings regarding my parents' divorce, and in turn, discovered underlying mental health struggles already present. I was diagnosed at fourteen with major depression, generalized anxiety disorder, and social anxiety. I tried many medications; Prozac, Paxil, Lexapro, and eventually Effexor XR (which I still take to this day). However, throughout my high school years, I found tooth and nail with my disorders, having not found a working medication until after I graduated. My grades were affected heavily, as I did not have the motivation to excel. I felt pressured regardless due to my cousins’ being in the top 10 of their class, which sadly, only left me feeling more defeated rather than being a motivator.
I visited my father every other weekend, and in turn, his new wife. When I was fifteen, they married. I cannot begin to describe the heart-wrenching effect she had on my mom and I, let alone our entire family. Without bringing up too many traumatic memories, many days and nights alike were spent conversing with police. She projected paranoid delusions on to those close around her, my father and I the main subjects. Around this time, I truly dove into struggling with self-harm. (Thankfully, I am currently three years self-harm free, and my father has escaped that toxic relationship and we both have mostly healed from what damage was caused by her.)
As my journey continued into teenage years, I served as an outlet for my mother to project her pain onto. I was struggling, she was struggling. We would bark back and forth about our turmoil to one another, harming our bond more than we realized. It was at this time I would stay closed in my room, finding comfort in creating collages, handwritten quote art, and poetry. The effect art therapy had on my growth, healing, and mental state was astronomical. It has now been over ten years since I first began that journey and strongly continue striding down that path.
Though my story has not been fully disclosed in this text, I feel many can find my story to be particularly relatable to those currently or had dealt with divorcing parents and learning to understand one’s own neurodivergence. You are not, and never have been, alone.
My number is a 3. Take the test to discover yours at NumberStory.org
Please follow @MyNumberStory and check out NumberStory.org to learn more about childhood adversity and the long-term effects of toxic stress on mental health, physical health and more.
(About the artwork: in this collage piece, I used a photograph of an abandoned sanitorium as the background, showcasing how it felt to be trapped inside of my new diagnoses of major depression and anxiety disorders as a child. The ghosts in the center represent the many personalities I felt I needed to exhibit to be accepted/understood by those around me. The ghostly woman with horns serves as a core element of my trauma; the rage, the unknown, the overwhelming emotions of comprehending my abnormal way of growing up. Lastly, the flowers in the foreground represent how on the surface things can be beautiful and healthy, the colors brightly hiding the rot beneath. The quote itself reflects that despite the emotion, working through what you are feeling is a step in the right direction towards overall healing.)

Kinda got an Ace Attorney au idea
Hear me out hear me out
Ace Attorney au where everything’s Kind of the same, but it’s just The Office with the Prosecutors
imagine what chaos that would bring like it’s just shenanigans from The Office with the prosecutors plus their own based on that
Also I say au cause I’m screwing over the timeline with this au because I mean *A L L prosecutors are there,
(*All that have been introduced one way or another and we at least know their name and appearance, just saying “Oh this prosecutor existed” be we don’t know the name and appearance doesn’t count, if I counted those ones the office would be W A Y too crowded you’d have like over 5000 people in there-!) (okay I’m exaggerating slightly but do you get my point?)
Even Barok Van Zieks, who is very most likely dead in canons current time (I mean I hc him as a vampire so actually no he’s probably roaming around somewhere in England staying far away from Japanifornia but I’m talking on the canon terms where I’m assuming he’s supposed to be human and humans, yk age)
Blabababababababababababababbaba I keep rambling and it’s honestly getting really long just for a dumb au proposal so under the cut it goes
Anyways it’d honestly be so funny- Especially if you put Godot in the same room as Barok like it’s just
Barok: *Standing there menacingly vampire reaper energy and all*
Godot: *Just opens mouth and begins mangling the shit out of the English language*
Barok:
Barok: Please take me back to the 19th century I’m scared of this man-
Or something similar like I can just see him fearing Godot because of the way he speaks and it makes me cackle “I fear no man. But that one *camera pans to Godot* that one scares me”
I can also see a very chaotic friendship with Simon and Klavier,
Actually wait, I did say that all Known/Introduced prosecutors in the games are there,
also I guess that means Klint comes back from the dead, I mean he was also a prosecutor and he follows the guidelines I have for who’s allowed in the au or not (Have a known name and appearance lmfao)
OH WAIT WHAT IF AT SOME POINT ONE OF THE MODERN DAY PROSECUTORS JUST FUCKING SICS A ROOMBA ON THE 19TH CENTURY ONES (Klint, Barok, Mael, Kazuma Manfred Von Karma/j/j/I’m joking although he would probably join them in the roomba screaming) AND JUST WATCHES THEM SCREECH IN TERROR AT IT LIKE “WHAT THE BLOODY HELL IS THAT METAL DEVIL-“ and the Van Zieks just morb into bats to fly away from it (vampires)
The Paynes are the most ignored in the office unfortunately, Winston is a chad honestly, Gaspen definitely deserves it though
And I already love this au-

Winx au (S2)
here's season 1 with all the necesarry notes :3
And now on season 2:
Following the direct continuation after Halloween, our first year group is in a bit of a hitch.
They had no fucking idea what happened to Mandor. They still were under supervision and still unable to leave the school grounds.
These dumbasses bearly started training with Trein and it was HELL
Mid-term exams were coming and like hell any of them actually wanted to do them.
Now we follow more Sebek. Sebek did get to go and congratulate Silver on his 'heroic moment' because he heard around from other people. Malleus and Lilia aslo congratulated Silver on saving the ball, although there is a few comments towards how Sebek could learn a lot from Silver.
Unsurprisingly, Sebek takes them a bit hard, given his current position as a misfit.
He doesn't really share about the comments with the rest of the group, but they figure on their own that something must've upset Sebek. Because now Sebek was drowning himself in work, trying his utter best to Excell in every academic, which in turn resulted in a bit of a poor skill to the secret training.
Trein also notices this, so he does approach Sebek about it. As the lightning fairy, he tends to speed up through things and not look once back. Sebek is a bit at loss, but doesn't yeld yet.
For the others tho, they decide to pursue more ways to find more about prince Mandor. So far, he was the prince of the land of dawn, also names as land of heroes, a kingdom well known for it's advanced ways in fighting without magic as well as the place where the 'magilocks' were invented.
Magilocks were magical objects meant to capture very powerful amounts of magic. From magical objects to even fairies and witches who posed as a ginormous threat to the magical universe.
It was clear that their enemy was searching for another way to gain more power.
So Trein gives them their first assignment: pursue the tree of life from the Gloomy Woods Forest. The tree itself holds count of the balance in between light and dark magic. They could use it's help to pinpoint more about prince Mangor's location.
They all look at Epel tho. :'3
The problem was how could they even get there. The tree of life was on a whole other planet. They needed not only to get off the school perimeter and not get caught... They also need to pass on the magic border. Then again, they were clearly down to breaking the rules... What's a minor intergalactic law, am I right? >:3c
Trein assures them that their answer is already in their hands. They have to just find it. Even so, he still lets them use the library book arsenal how they please.
Trein seems to regret his decision almost immediately, since these guys immediately split up and none knew where each section was, which was painfully made aware when they tried so hard to look like they had any idea where they were looking.
FINALLY! Deuce and Jack approach Trein to ask for some pointers about the sections. And Trein points under the staircase at a detailed map about the sections available.
Ace tho, is the one that comes up with an idea, bringing up a book about magic artefacts. He found the zodiac blade in there, which has 12 spells, one which included creating portals. Deuce is very against the idea since he still cannot control it. Ace breaks it to him: how can he expect to control it if he doesn't try?
Deuce finally gives in and summons the zodiac blade. The blade itself was big, showing the night sky. The handle had 4 different circles spinning around in different directions. Deuce was a bit shakey, the blade circles aligning into the Leo one. According to the book, the leo cosntelation was meant to a very powerful attack.
So everyone decides to hold onto Deuce, assuring him that it's OK. Just a deep breath and concentrate. He tries his best and finally, the circles allign showing the cancer constellation. The blade makes a cut through air and opens a portal to the gloomy woods.
The problem was, they didn't know where tf in the woods it was.
But Deuce seemed happy, reassured even.
And on his clothes, a small broch manifested. Everyone is a bit curious, since it dissappeared quick, but Deuce said that it felt as if he had a new power.
Nonetheless, they went on their merry way through the woods, Epel on the lead as he was using his magic senses to feel around the earth.
It takes some time and they poked a bear and had to fight it, but they happened to stumble upon a pixie who seemed to be trying to sneak out of the bear's cave. Because the group fought the bear, the pixie managed to get out and it's very thankful.
The pixie introduces itself as Camelie, the pixie of knitting. And Camelie feels a strong bond with Jack. She explains that she must be his bonding pixie, hence why she is very excited that there are more fairies with Jack, which means their pixies have to be in the village.
They get sidetracked and help Camelie find the berries she was supposed to take to the village. :3
At the pixie village, Epel suddenly feels a surge of power that almost knocks him off his feet. He was tok concentrated on feeling the earth that when he came face to face with the tree of life, he was overwhelmed.
Thankfully Epel was alright after a few seconds. He also meets a quite jumpy pixie named Brosky, the frog pixie. Much like Jack and him, the others get to meet their bonding pixies too. Ortho's pixie is named Bishop, the chess pixie. Ace's pixie is the magician pixie, Harlow. Deuce had the pleasure of meeting Axel, the pixie of maps. And Sebek got himself the rocker pixie, Eleanor.
They do mention that they were looking for the tree of life. They need to pinpoint where someone is. They are on a very important mission.
The pixies do let them see the tree of life, Epel being the one who tries to connect to it as the fairy of earth. And to help, Brosky also tried to help Epel via using their bonding. It was quite weak, but it helped fasten the process.
And Epel gives the verdict: Prince Mangor was in RSA still. As a dark magic user, Epel had a harder time finding him, but finally he got a grasp, even if now he was tired.
So tired that he immediately fell off his feet and the others had to help him back up.
Epel didn't only feel the magic users, but he also felt some big energy. He couldn't pin-point it, but he knew that thing sensed him. This got the others a bit worried, but nonetheless, they had to get Epel back and let him rest.
Except that when they get back, they realise that their pixies followed them. They wanted to bond! And Deuce was also tired from using the blade. It was late and tomorrow they had school.
Trein seemed a bit worried when they reported to him about this, but he let them go and rest, especially Epel.
The next day, there were made right out the batch: the rules.
Pixies had to stay in the dorm. And under no circumstances let them be seen by others. Otherwise everyone will know they left the school grounds and so be punished.
And it was clear that things weren't that good. The classes were harder than usual and maybe because of the fact that they were dead tired that they had more worries on their head.
This gets the attention or Riddle surprisingly. The redhead did bring up how the first years were quite down lately. The other prefects had mixed opinions, knowing that they are dealing with the misfits. Idia does bring up that so far, they didn't do much.
Riddle figures that perhaps, since they did seem to study, they should receive some sort of reward. They worked very hard lately and their practic exercises showed that they are quite good at it. Kalim suggests that maybe they should convince Crowley to let them leave the campus again on free time. Vil said that they shouldn't go that far.
Riddle suggests that maybe they should give them something like a cake or something to remind them of taking a break. Idia, Ruggie and Kalim seemed to agree with this. Malleus was showing skeptisim surprisingly, even though Azul confronted him about it, because Sebek was close to him. Malleus just says that Sebek needs time to learn and not mingle with bad influences.
Nonetheless, Riddle, Idia, Ruggie and Kalim roll on with their little plan to surprise the first years with something sweet. Vil did say to check the food for Epel, but none of them really listen to it.
Meanwhile, the first years were a mess. Trein was quite surprised to see the absolute mess these 6 managed to conjure in a few hours after the classes ended. They acquired a whiteboard, which was filled up with photos, strings and scribbles. Notes and books were sctered on the floor and everyone was hanging like dead people. The pixies and Lucius didn't really get along, but occasionally they would team up to wake up the boys.
And to assure that they won't be caught snooping off, they installed a hidden alarm system that would tell them is someone was coming to their dorm.
And it so happened to go off. Waking up everyone and dragging them back to the dorms, Sebek mustered enough energy to get up and politely greet the prefects, who presented to them their little gift of 'you did well, you deserve a break'.
It was the famous cupcakes from the city's most popular bakery. Everyone loved them and so, they got for the first years a few of each, not exactly knowing who likes what flavor. Well... More like Kalim bought them. The other 3 told him to not get really a few out of every flavor.
Of course, the first years welcomed the free food (Ruggie wipes one proud tear), but, as expected, ask why the sudden gift. Kalim is just a sunshine and tells them that since Crowley forbid them to go out of the campus, they seemed to focus more on studies, and since there are some notable evolutions in tests and grades, they figured out that it would be fit to give them something. More like remind them to take a well deserved break.
And for once since they started the school year, the group gets one proper break. It feels like heaven descended upon them and they bearly touched the food, more like it was sinking in the fact that they actually had a break.
Noticing this, Riddle is the first to break the ice. It was obvious they had to be struggling with something, but even then, the 4 prefects assumed it were the classes. So naturally Riddle offered to tutor them or help them understand a lesson they are struggling with. They can't leave the school grounds, so there is literally nothing they could even do to enjoy NRC time like the other students, who always go to town after classes.
But the first years weighted their options. On one hand, they could use a senior's guidance, especially someone like Riddle, the top of his class, but on the other hand, they were training now way above their year's curriculum. They couldn't let anyone else catch on their gig.
And Ace took the initiative. He admitted that at the moment, they study because they are bored. They played multiple times every boardgame they own, they did all kinds of things and seriously nothing priquired their interest anymore, so they just hit the books. And to see that others finally are aware of their hard work really is very rewarding as it is. So Ace admits that maybe he judged a bit harsh the others... Some prefects are actually nice.
And without any of the prefects noticing(Ace was covering his chest), a small broch appeared for a few seconds and Ace did feel like he gained some more energy.
Ruggie does clear it out that this is always the first impression on the prefects. Some are truly assholes, but then you have Kalim, this guy who's heart doesn't even let him be mean on an ant.
Sebek tho, does ask about Malleus. He figured he must've been quite busy to not come and enjoy some cupcakes with all of them. The other 4 prefects don't really say anything, just awkwardly confirming it that Malleus had some work to do. Especially as a 3rd year, who is yet to gain his enchantix.
Epel does ask what the hell is this enchantix that it needs to be gained on the 3rd year. Kalim explains that enchantix is the final form of a fairy, the gateway to more transformations with different perks. Enchantix is basically the most powerful form a fairy can have and by gaining it, you lose your base form forever. Hence why the 3rd years have to pursue it. Because they trained in their base form and are proficient enough to pursue a higher level of power.
Riddle says that Idia is probably the earliest enchantix I'm the history of NRC. He gained it over the summer break after all. Idia himself doesn't seem that proud of it, but that excuses him from the extra courses, so he doesn't really complain about it.
As for how the years work, Riddle explains that throughout the years, the students need to pursue a certain level of knowledge over their powers. First year is getting used to the base form and what it grants. The second year has you focus more on oneself and gaining charmix, which signals you as half-way to enchantix. Third year has you pursue enchantix, so in the 4th year you are training with it and learning to be a guardian fairy.
Really, our group internally sweat when they realise that they can't possibly speedrun the NRC years without gaining some unwanted attention. If Idia was known already to be the earliest enchantix, it meant that if they were to even get remotely close to enchantix, everyone will know, including Prince Mangor and whoever is helping him out.
Kalim tho, reassures that everything will go at it's own pace. Even late bloomers like him can keep up. So he advises the group to relax a bit more and not rush into things.
The little visit ended on mixed feelings. On one hand, the 4 prefects found it as a success, but on the other side, the first years were in an absolute panic. If prince Mangor got again gloomix, they had to get charmix to be on par, but they cannot possibly pursue it because of year goals, which would basically give away their plans and screw everything up. But at the same time they had bonded with pixies and already Deuce and Ace seemed to have gained somehow charmix, which really... They are in it now and there's no possible way back.
So they return to the library, in search for a safety net for the power imbalance. Trein suggest to them to look into the magi-locks.
And our group discovers just how a magi-lock is done: an object forged out of a special spell resistant metal, called the forever young iron, blessed with intricate spells of both light and dark magic and then using a mirror stone melted inside to make a core. This explains a lot about how they can make one. And so, they decide to do it. If they create a magi-lock, they could use it to store away their higher powers and so, act like normal students until it is needed for them.
Trein tho, suggests to use the magi-lock to capture their enemy's magic. If they do it, the prince will have no other option than to either give up or seek back the source of them again, which would lead the group to figuring out everything behind those dark powers.
So that's their plan.
Trein also gives them books on where they could find the ingredients for what they needed. Sebek takes the initiative and declared that whatever happens, they will stuck together and defeat this threat. Nothing will hinder them down.
And Sebek also admits that maybe, it was time he leaves aside his worries about Malleus. He didn't even want to visit him, so Sebek will work more on this team and himself now. Just like the prefects told them: they need a break. A break from their personal troubles that hinder them down.
The group seems very fired up by the speech, but at the same time, they are surprised to see the small broch that appeared for a split second on Sebek too. Now half of them earned charmix and it was clear they had to make that damn magilock faster.
The forever young iron was found in the abandoned mines from the storybook forest, here in twisted wonderland. On the same level, the mirror stones were stones that were found on the sunlight river, in the scalding sands.
As for the spells needed, Ortho offered for the witch spell, although it was a bit above his level, if maybe he trains with it a bit more he could do it. For the other spell, Ace was desemned, mostly for his quick memorising power.
Even so, the group knew that Ortho needed more power for that spell. And fortunately for them, they had just the thing. They just needed to know how to fix what they initially broke. That's all. :'3
Their bonding pixies also decided to help. And they were a great help too. From small things to even boosting their spells for a bit, when they confronted with the dangers of the cave and the river.
Although, none of them really knew what that inky cave monster was. Ortho did say that it was a blot monster, a creature born out of unattended magic used with malicious intent. He knew this because he researched into them years prior. And no one decided to question him further.
Meanwhile, Deuce also was getting more better at his zodiac blade wielding. He found out that he could use only 4 out of 12 spells for now: cancer(the portals), leo(the powerful one hit K.O.), taurus(shield) and virgo(creates a short lived illusion).
They used the blade to travel wherever they needed. Axel was a great help with all the maps too, so they always took the pixie with them to navigate around.
But on the other hand, Jack and Epel both worked at the gloomix stone they took from prince Mangor. Sure, it was shattered, but with Sebek's research, they found out a way to fix it. If they fix it, they could use Mangor's previous weapon against him, which would assure for them another advantage.
Their self imposed deadline was up until the winter holiday starts, so they really hurried, knowing that midterms always were right before the holiday itself. A lot of white nights and thanking whoever invented coffee, because right now our first years just found out how it feels to be an average working adult.
On the other hand, Epel had a small accident. It seemed like Mangor finally got some guts to come out again and summon back the monsters. And their first encounter with this was a sticky monster, which unfortunately got Sebek to have his hand stuck to Epel's hair. Cue a hair cutting machine and a whole night of looking through 'how to cut hair' before Epel told them to fuck it and give him an undercut or something.
The group again had to watch several 'how to make an undercut' tutorials. Even so, Jack unstuck Sebek(Epel finally felt the ✨waxing✨ experience) and ortho with Ace took the styling lead as Deuce and Jack tried to get rid of the glue charm.
In the end, Epel had some mixed feelings about his undercut, since if he let his hair down, it looked like nothing changed. The others do confront him about this change in hair, but in the end, Epel feels comfortable with it and even says that it looks so badass he feels already like he could fistfight that damn prince.
And indeed, Epel gains his charmix too, which leaves Jack and Ortho as the only 2 left without a powerup.
Jack does gain his too, mainly via standing against Vil, when he was nagging Epel about the undercut. It made things a bit sour in between them, but Jack felt like he had to speak his opinion and stand by what he deemed fair.
As for ortho, the rest of the group present to him the fixed gloomix stone. Ortho did have a few mixed feelings about it, but they needed that powerup to make the magi-lock and even Ortho admitted that the spell he had to do needed him to have much more power.
The gloomix stone fortunately takes the form of a forehead crown, which ortho easily hides with his firehair. Plus, as Epel and Ace dubbed it, it looks awesome.
Now to the forging, Jack's snow powers proved to be great, mainly in getting the iron to cool down in the shape they needed. Imbedding the mirror stone itself was harder, but in the end, with a convergence spell in between Ortho and Ace, they acquired a magilock in the form of a small box.
Their new problem arose when they tried it out. Not only it sucked out charmix, it took all the magic one had. Thankfully, they could return it back, but they realised the magi-lock was not going to help them with hiding from the students and teachers.
But what it could help them would be stealing Mangor's powers. Sebek insisted that they have to use it on Mangor and then they could finally make a significant step forward. The others seemed to agree, but for now, their only worry was the mid-term exams.
And first were the 3rd years. And their exams were tough. So were the 2nd years. The 1st years mid-terms are expected to be harsh as well.
But then again, they were the Requix squad. They already had charmix and were more than ready to woop some ass.
At the theoretical part, it was a bit harder than expected. Some mistakes were on purpose and some actually were legit mistakes, but that gave them a nice high score on the team, but not too high to raise suspicion.
As for the practical exam? Because they were petty and previously got in an argument with a few other groups, our team decided 'ya know, fuck it' and did a record time in finishing the course, placing them as the first group overall in the exams. Ya know, just to rub it in other's faces. >:3
And for that, Trein and the pixies do allow them to have a small celebration. It was just for one night, a small movie marathon, some dancing and fooling around and of course, snacks and soda. (Sebek got sprayed in the face when he opened a bottle pre-shaked by Ace)
Needless to say, despite everything, the group dropped to sleep early.
Except that the next day, the whole school woke up with a bang.
And not just any bang: a student apparently was attacked last night and their wings were cut off, meaning they lost their magic powers. It was a 2nd year nonetheless and also, from Silver's group. Everyone was shaked up and of course, the blame was thrown around because no one could sneak in the school without triggering the barriers(put since S1).
The blame finally seems to settle on our group, because those 6 stood in the school all this time and add to that the sudden spike in grades and how they had a flawless practical exam. Where did they even practice?
Besides, it was a very known fact that our first year group had some beef with a few other students, including the one who got their wings cut.
For now tho, no one could make solid accusation. No one had any kind of evidence of what happened or how it happened. They just knew that it happened and that it was a risk of it happening again.
So that meant a new set of rules. The prefects and 4th years will patrol in shifts at night. Everyone who leaves the campus will have to be checked when they leave and when they come back.
And the winter holiday was, of course, canceled. Everyone would stay in here and keep tabs on each other. They can't possibly leave the culprit out in the world.
So the group takes the matter to their dorm, talking it out with the pixies. Because of the checking on the dorms, they can't possibly sneak into the library and all stay there for hours. They needed a system, since the pixies couldn't go willy nilly in the library like the boys could.
So they come up with the next idea: the shower motives.
Everyone stood in the dorm and only 2 will go to the library. They will rotate via a system per hour and the other 4 will study in the dorm. If they are the majority, they could pass the inspection very easily. Just say one is in the shower and the other is changing clothes or something.
And so far, the system worked. They had a fair share of surprise inspections, but mainly it was Idia, who seemed to overlook some things such as the utter mess of notes and books or the fact that most of them are still in pijamas or half dressed up with the school uniform.
2 days after and another incident occurred. Again, it was another 2nd year, still a student that had previous beef with our group and again, they were attacked, no one seemed to hear their help cries and because of the ambush, they were vulnerable enough for their wings to be cut off too.
And now, more suspicion was built on the group from the other students. So much so that the group seemed to be left out or even avoided by the others.
Sebek did try to speak to Lilia, who was a teacher too, but Lilia was more preoccupied on caring to silver. After all, the first victim shared a room with none other than Silver, so for him it hit quite hard. Sebek really wanted at least a teacher's aid in the situation and he trusted Lilia, so to not receive any attention at all to the matter, it did sting a bit.
So Sebek took the steering if the group again in his hands. He accused Mangor for this. It was adding up. The weaker monsters were a diversion. Mangor surely wanted to get something out of cutting fairy wings. So they get their asses to research on the topic.
And they discover an old book. One about forbidden rituals. From killing dragons and using their remnants to gain maddening powers to the emperor's throne and wild magic. The reason they were forbidden was because not your average person could control them. They would mess up your mind and either kill you or turn you into a greedy creature that wants power above all.
But pages were missing. When asked about it, Trein reveals that before them, there were many who entered the library. One student of his in particular, was obsessed with this book. Trein tried to stop them when he realised what they wanted to do, but it was too late. The book's pages were scattered around twisted wonderland and Trein used his whole magic and body, becoming a spirit tied to the crystal ball, just so that he could banish to oblivion the said student.
The group theorise that it is a possibility that Mangor got his hands on one of the lost pages and so, they try to pinpoint more about fairy wings.
All they knew was that so far, fairy wings could make fairy dust, used to fly. Only in enchantix the fairy could actually use that fairy dust for spells and healing. If you cut a fairy's wings, via a special weapon, you could steal their powers, but for what exactly do you need multiple pairs? And how did Mangor get that weapon exactly.
Ortho brings up STIX. Unlike Kingdom of dawn or other countries on this planet, STIX was a non-governmental organisation, tasked with the mission of handling world ending level of threats. STIX had quite the arsenal of weapons and specialised guardians. From fairies to witches. Not to mention the cut-edge magic tech. STIX had weapons that could be used to cut a fairy's wings, that's no doubt. Even so, the art of forging them had to be taken from outside.
But why bring up STIX? No one could enter it. From the array of magical barriers to the fact that no one could even find its location to begin with. How would that even help them?
Ortho simply pulls out his phone and dials his mom's number. He had to tell his parents about the exams and all that after all. And his mother is very happy to hear from her younger son too. She mentioned that Idia also called, informing them about the situation at NRC. She does ask if everything is alright on Ortho's end, to which the younger makes a pause.
Then he admits that no. Things are not alright. The others do mimick to Ortho what to say and he of course dramatically says that everyone is scared of the incidents and they need to know at least how could one take a fairy's wings so fast and easy.
After the call ended, Ortho presented the group with good and bad news.
Good news! STIX was looking into it and of course, the only way of taking a fairy's wings so easy was through a magical weapon called the nightshade blade.
Bad news! STIX was looking into it, which means that not only they are under school personnel watch, they are also under the eye of a very powerful organisation that could immediately lock them up and say bye bye to their powers.
At the question on how Ortho knows about STIX actions nonetheless, he responds that he does have ties after all.
Nonetheless, their next library search was magic weapons. They had a name and so, finding a book about it was far more easier.
The nightshade blade was a blade that was hard to forge, being done by special blacksmiths who live in the mountains of piroxene. Epel recalls that his village has a blacksmith family. And the father of the current blacksmith was decorated with honors from the blacksmith society.
So they need to go there and meet up with the guy. Epel brings up that every year, there is a sled race, over which the blacksmith forges a special medal and hands it to the winner. The competition happened in groups of 4 and also during the winter holiday.
But how can they even go there? Let alone train for the sled race of only 2 are going to the library and the surprise inspections are still in full swing.
Sebek suggests that perhaps they should take their issue to a teacher. That was immediately ruled out, but Ace got a better idea.
What if they create a motive for their absence? Like a very heartfelt motive that can warm a teacher's heart enough to let them go for the winter holiday to Epel's place. Ace gives credit to Sebek for the idea of asking a teacher tho. If a teacher steps in, it could hold more water than if a prefect would be swayed their way.
Unbeknownst to them, a prefect actually heard them.
The next day tho, the group was summoned tot he headmaster's office, resulting in a very long 'walk of shame'.
And in there, Idia already was there, next to the headmaster, trying to look very stoic.
The headmaster informs that Idia was yesterday night on duty in their dorm aera. And he heard about Epel's woe that his grandma is very sick and his parents are out of town for their family business. Since they couldn't possibly forsake the family's only money income, but also because of the sick grandma, Crowley accepted for the 6 of them to go there as a group and take care of the house and grandma felimer, all under the supervision of Idia.
Really, the group thought that it was too good to be true.
And it was.
Because the second they were all out, Idia nags them that they are in very deep shit. He suspected that they hid something, but he didn't expect for the group to actually be investigating these incidents. And here he had hopes that maybe, maybe, they were good intentioned. He had hopes, man... Why crush them like that? :'3
Nonetheless, Idia figured that they wouldn't back down no matter what, because they are petty. (a collective sets of hey was received), so Idia indulges them in 1 little favor, then he wants for them to just stay out of trouble for fuck's sake. It was bearly half a year and these 6 managed to jump from trouble to trouble.
So before their departure, they take their new situation to Trein. Of course, the library spirit nags them for being so careless, but he advises that Idia is known to have influence. He is someone they should try to at least keep out of his bad side. At best, they could sway him into being an ally. At first, none of them really were warmed up to the idea of working with a prefect, but Trein nagged them again that allies came from everywhere and that they should take the opportunity. Every small perk can be an important advantage. The pixies had to go back to their village and warn their kind of what happened. Since bonded pixies could feel their fairy's pain and would grow weaker if the fairy loses their magic, they should warn the village to take more precautions in case the effects of the said attacks would feel in there too.
So here comes the Harveston visit. It was winter, so Sebek, Ace and Deuce were trembling a bit, not handling that well the cold. Meanwhile Jack was absolutely în his element with all the snow and cold temperature. Idia, Ortho and Epel all were used to cold weather so for them it wasn't that much of a bother.
Naturally, grandma Felimer wasn't sick, more than anything, she was so lively, one could say she was 20 again. She was very happy of Epel bringing here some friends and even happier when she heard that Epel will participate in the sled race.
Although the team was made out of Epel, Jack, Sebek and Deuce. The other 3 would stay and help around with other things.
But Marja does warn them that apparently the previous blacksmith was kidnapped a few months ago. Many speculate the poor old man was dead and his family mourns him deeply, so for this year, there won't be any medal.
The group does reassure Marja that even without medal, they will do their best and promised to win.
Despite the warm welcome from the village and everything, still in between the group and Idia is was a cold atmosphere. Idia did confront them about what exactly they are planning, but none wanted to spill the beans. Yet so far, the group didn't do much, rather enjoy Epel's village and train for the sled race(and deck Idia with snowballs, but that's something the latter won't mention).
Although, on the night before the race, Ace wakes up in a cold sweat. Sebek is the one who is additionally waken up and so, the 2 go a bit outside to talk about it.
Ace says that he had another vision. What set it apart from the others was that it was a lot of blood and panic. He could basically feel the desperation.
And he saw a dead body. Sebek asked who died, but Ace kept his mouth shut and looked the other way. Sebek didn't pry anymore and promised to Ace that no one will die on his watch. He knew that sometimes profecies are prevented and Sebek will do just that. It wasn't put in stone yet so there is still time to fix things.
Ace says that he appreciates the optimism, but that alone isn't going to save anyone.
On the race day, everyone was fussing around. Apparently RSA had a team in here too that participated.
Meanwhile, Idia seemed to run a bit late. But even so, he said he had some good news. So before the race was going to start, he gathered the group to tell them the said news.
He went to the blacksmith residence. And as the fairy of death, he felt if the man that went missing was truly in the afterlife. The good news were that he wasn't. The man was still alive, although Idia couldn't pinpoint the soul location. That was put of his power.
Ortho tho, seemed to perk at that. He could use his gloomix powers to pinpoint the soul in question, but he needed an object of sentimental value of the victim. Of course, he didn't say it with Idia around, but Epel just 'mentioned' that the missing blacksmith was the one who made the medal his grandma first won on her sled race. It was the very first medal that blacksmith made, therefore it was a great moment for the village and even he admitted that it was one of their proudest work, which is why they were so proud to hand it to Marja.
Marja Also recalls fondly that memory and hopes that they will find the missing man. Idia's news did bring hope for the group. For various reasons but no one really knew of that.
So while the sled group start the race, Ortho is the one that offers to bring from back to the felimer residence some things marja forgot. Ace stood with Idia and Marja too, while Ortho snuck in there, found the medal and used his gloomix powers to locate the soul in question.
It took a bit, but Ortho did return with the asked things and also a small little map, folded and stuck with magic at the bottom of a bottle of warm tea.
Thankfully, Epel, the leader of the group, took the bottle and found the secret message. The man they were looking for was at the top of the mountain. Ortho had to hurry and so he couldn't say exactly where, but he circled the aera. Thankfully it was on their way, so they could make a small detour.
Ace sure was growing a bit anxious as the night rolled in. Ortho figured that something must've happened, most likely a vision that had Ace so fidgety, so the 2 decided to tell Marja and Idia that they will wait at the finish line and get to Ace something to warm up. Idia still had to help Marja with aiding the competitors, which was clearly easy for someone who had already enchantix and a more varied arsenal of spells and control.
And Marja does have a heart to heart with Idia. She noticed how the latter was acting as if he walked on eggshells with the group. Idia admits that things seem to happen too fast and he is very worried for the safety of his brother. Marja too id worried for Epel's safety, but she knows that her grandson is a strong boy and he would push to the end no matter what.
She advises Idia to hold more trust in his brother and his friends. They are good boys, she saw many people at her age, so she knew if a person was truly ill intentioned or not.
And Idia finally seems to relax a bit and accept that yeah, they are good kids, sure they won't get in trouble.
Spoilers: they get into trouble :v
Because Idia sees Ortho and Ace rushing through the woods, hoping to not be seen, towards the mountain top. Idia really just felt a pit in his stomach, but he first got Marja back at the finish line and reassured that he will go and look for the teams that were left behind, in case someone had an accident or something.
Meanwhile, our group had their 2nd proper meeting with prince Mangor, this time holding the old blacksmith as hostage and having quite the arsenal of weapons. Of course, they engaged in battle, trying to save the hostage, but Mangor really enjoyed his new toys, which the sentiment really wasn't shared by the Requix squad.
In all that frenzy, Epel secures the safety of the blacksmith and asks the man if by chance, these weapons have a weak point. The man explains that the weak point is the handle itself, but knowing that the handle is literally holded by Mangor, they couldn't reach it with a spell that easy.
The blacksmith also warned them that Mangor isn't alone. He was forced to make weapons not by the prince, but by someone else.  Mangor is just a pawn in all this, given power to just execute orders. Epel seemed to nod, but also he had to use his charmix power up to put up more the barriers.
Meanwhile, Sebek was also on defense, which really it wasn't his forte. But he promised to Ace that he won't allow anyone to pass away and he would fulfill that promise. Ace had time to summon on their way here the magilock box they created and so, he proposed to use it to capture Mangor inside.
Except that Idia arrives. And seeing the untransformed fairy, Mangor aims at him. In desperation, Ortho tries to get a grasp of his brother, but he's pushed aside by someone else.
That someone is Sebek, which unfortunately, the nightshade blade got stabbed in his stomach. With the power and adrenaline left, Sebek uses his lightning powers to drag both him and Mangor outside, getting both struck by lightning summoned by Sebek, weakening Mangor enough to let go of the weapon and Sebek to destroy it. Deuce used his blade to hold Mangor off as Ace locked the prince in the box, but already Sebek was too weak to even stand, collapsing on the ground.
And the group all swarmed him. Idia didn't have any healing spells, so he tried to converge his with Epel's healing to at least make it act more faster. Ace bawled that his prophecy was right and holded Sebek's hand, asking why the hell did Sebek even do such thing.
And Sebek, through weak sobs and fluttering eyes, admitted that he knew he had nothing to lose. He was made painfully aware that his wakasama, the one he served and Lilia, the one he was trained under, both gave all of their attention and energy towards Silver. He knew none of them would miss him, but he also knew that this group, this mission they had, was crucial for everyone. And that Idia was very important to Ortho. He had to step in. He promised to Ace that he won't allow any deaths to occur.
Unfortunately, Sebek smiled apologetically as with his last breath he said that he failed Ace.
But! As everyone in the group mourned him once Idia gave the verdict, instantly the oldest of them had to retract his words. He didn't feel Sebek's dead soul. He felt something pulling him out of the afterlife.
That something was enchantix. Sebek gained enchantix, which immediately had him wake up and gasp for air. His own fairy dust healed his wound and he was just like new, except very sparkly, with some big wings and far more powerful.
This was celebrated by a big group hug and everyone crying to Sebek to not sacrifice himself again, goddammit, they thought they were gonna lose his ass!
Although, after everything is calm, realisation sinks in. Sebek. Had. Enchantix. And Idia was aware of their power status.
Oh Trein is so gonna blow a casket.
They decide to first get the blacksmith back to his home. They came in last, but the whole village was cheering for them as they found and brought back the missing ex-blacksmith. Maybe the RSA won, but for the village, the true winners were our NRC gang.
And they were treated with a feast, dancing and singing.
For the night tho, Idia had to discuss with the group about what happened. It was only half a year of the school and already they all had charmix and Sebek had enchantix. While Idia had to congratulate them, he was bringing up the facts:
They fast evolution was worry some. They will basically paint a big target on their back if Mangor was truly just a pawn for whoever is orchestrating this. Not to mention their already bad reputation.
Alas, Idia promised to not say anything about this. This whole mess was kept under wraps for now and no one else should even know about it.
But at least, they could finally have a proper celebration: they defeated Mangor, they gained Idia as an ally and Sebek got enchantix. Which meant that they only will be more powerful and ready for whatever evil the one behind everything was sending their way.
And sure enough, the mastermind was quite amused with this. How this group of fledglings managed to defeat their pawn. Truly it took them a bit less, but that doesn't mean our misterious person doesn't look forward to what they have in store.
And that's where season 2 ends. We settled the actual big bad and we also got our first enchantix! :D

Hello, how are you? :) May I get a tarot reading? I would like to know if my family's financial situation is going to get better soon, cause we've been struggling so much for so long and it really bothers me..
hii, ofc!! here's the reading you requested 💗
requested reading ★
will your family's situation get better soon + advice ୨୧
cards pulled: ace of swords, king of wands, knight of pentacles, high priestess + six of pentacles
overall, it seems as though positive changes are coming soon. with the ace of swords, new opportunities and a sense of clarity regarding your financial situation, along with solutions, will take place. the king of wands is someone who will turn the situation around, either in your family or someone who brings an opportunity forth, it is also important that your family remain confident and determined.
the knight of pentacles represents stability and security. your financial situation will be improved, but only through hard work and determination, especially once this opportunity takes place. it is important that your family focus on long-term goals and take the necessary steps to achieve that. it is also important that you trust your instincts/intuition and explore different ways/approaches in regards to work or achieving financial stability.
overall, with the six of pentacles, it's important to give and receive. don't overshare your resources, but don't be too stingy either. through giving, you may have those who would return the favour. it might also be that the opportunity that arrives would be through external help/guidance.
please don't lose hope, I have gone through something similar a few years back and it felt as though things would never get better, but there are always new opportunities or ways in which we can work to improve our financial situation. your family's financial situation is very likely to turn around soon too 💗

Zoro and Sanji for the ask game <3
You are a wonder and a dear, thank you for this <3
1: sexuality headcanon
Zoro: I think Zoro is like. THE posterboy for demisexual. demisexual, demiromantic, the whole thing, I don't think gender makes much of a difference to him in terms of attraction but he's gotta know you and trust you, he's gotta be invested first or he just doesn't think of folks that way.
Sanji: the ultimate bisexual disaster case. He and Ace and Shanks all attend the same "gorgeous pitiful bisexual disaster" support group, as a small aside.
2: otp
other than x me...
Zoro: I think probably ZoLu or ZoSan, tho likely leaning more in the direction of Luffy based solely on ration of Fics I Have Chosen to Read lmao. There is just something about the way they met and it took Zoro exactly 24 business hours to be like "my life and my sword for your cause," the way they just. get each other, half the time without even needing to speak, the softness and solidarity of it all. Just gets me, ya know.
Sanji: SanLu or ZoSan (are you sensing a pattern lmfao). In general maaaybe SanLu bc like. I think Sanji is very much inside himself about his own worth and place in the world, and Luffy is like. Relentless (as he is with everyone he loves and cares for) about reaching down into that pit and pulling Sanji out into the sun over and over again and there's just smth really lovely about that. Monster Trio OT3 is lovely soft times I feel.
3: brotp
Zoro: Chopper oh my god. He's the lil dude's big brother, his dad, his bestie, please listen to me every MOMENT of their interactions breathes new life into my rotten dusty soul. Also Nami, they met and were like "ah. my long lost sibling. what if I killed you" and have such a wonderful dynamic.
Sanji: Chopper also, tho not quite to the degree that Zoro is. Also, altho probably a controversial opinion, I really like his relationship with Robin. I don't wanna spoil anything (in case you or anyone reading is watching/gonna watch) but there's a particular arc in which the only person more relentless than he is about bringing her home is Luffy, like. I think he's a wonderful sweet boy all around but smth about his gentleness with Robin really warms my heart.
4: notp
Zoro: Nami, they are just. SO so sibling coded to me like. Perona for the same reason tbph, they're Mihawk's adopted goth siblings and I can't really extricate that from my brain. Mihawk. For that matter. That's basically his dad. (Not yucking anyone's yum idc what other people ship tbph but I don't like these ones personally)
Sanji: I've just sat here staring into space for like five minutes trying to think of smth. I haven't seen much of anything for him that really yucks me out (unless I'm just blanking which like. happens. I have the brain of a 90 year old), but I guess like. Not notp-levels exactly but I don't really get SanUsopp or SanLaw? The latter might just be a "wait til you get to Wano" situation like so many other things, but yeah.
5: first headcanon that pops into my head
Zoro: saw a post a while back that was someone's headcanon about Zoro lending out his earrings to his crewmates for like. especially dangerous missions, or to give them a lil confidence boost, or as a promise that he would make it back from something scary, and that's stuck in my brain so hard its basically canon for me, so yeah.
Sanji: I think he's basically a nutritionist in everything but paper certification, above and beyond just making sure his crew is fed and goes to bed with full tummies he is SO dialed in to what they like and what their systems are sensitive to and what they need for training/devil fruit powers/etc like. It's not just "here I have made this hearty delicious meal that covers all the food groups" he makes a bunch of different meals catered to everyone's needs, he gets it.
6: favorite line from this character
Zoro: "That's what it means to be Captain, isn't it. Don't lose yourself. If you waver, who can we trust?"
Sanji: "Leave this guy's key to me, I'll do what you cant do; you do what I can't do. Think carefully! Read the situation. If you're here, there's got to be a way Robin-chan can be saved! Usopp!"
7: one way in which I relate to this character
Zoro: TERMINAL sleepyhead disorder. Tired all the time, sleeping in the background of every scene.
Sanji: I'm capable and competent while simultaneously having no sense of self-worth whatsoever. ya know.
8: thing that gives me second hand embarrassment about this character
Zoro: Where!!! Is he ever going??? He gets lost while MAKING EYE CONTACT WITH THE SHIP. MULTIPLE TIMES. Babygirl beloved I'm BEGGING you rn...
Sanji: I mean. I'm just gonna say Fishman Island and leave it at that. (They brought him back from the timeskip a completely different person and I'm STILL waiting for him to return from the war...)
9: cinnamon roll or problematic fave?
They're BOTH cinnamon rolls in my heart, but I am aware like. Sanji technically falls into the problematic fave category for like. myriad reasons.
