#But while I was studying at least when I visited I'd meet them several times and usually all of them
Note
Hi, big fan of your ace and aro art!
Genuine question here: How do you maintain a long distance relationship with your QPP (queerplatonic partner)?
Hey! Thank you so much for the kind words, that means a lot TwT
Regarding your question, apologies for the long shit incoming in advance, I'll probably share way more than what's needed, but anyway:
OK, to be honest, I should mention that I'm used to long-distance in most of the relationships in my life anyway, so that's kinda my bread and butter. I was bullied in my small town schools and later I went on to study foreign languages, so all of that created circumstances that made it natural for me to create real friendships mostly with people online or in foreign countries. I've always been more of a "next country rather than nextdoor" type of person to begin with, and my partner was no exception I guess.
We got to know each other online, so we were sort of used to the bulk of our relationship being online when we decided to be in a QPR. It was my partner's suggestion before we even got to meet IRL, and to be honest I'd never had a romantic or queerplatonic partner before and didn't fully grasp what it meant at the time, but it sounded nice, so I went for it! We met up IRL in 2018, a couple months after that (I was meeting up IRL for the first time with another friend who also happened to live in the area, in retrospect I really appreciate everyone's patience as I imposed a double visit and splitting my time in two between them TwT) and at that time it only cemented how much of a vibe it was.
After that, I was saving to visit them again in 2020, but... Y'know, the shit happened. The US (where my partner lives) enforced a travel ban on my country and several others that lasted until November 2021. It was incredibly hard during those times. We called very often, but since I'd been all riled up on the idea of hugging them again, and I was very affection-deprived because no one was allowed to see anyone or touch anyone (and that was pretty heavily monitored by cops for quite a while in my country), it wasn't enough for me to feel OK. The only way one could travel from a banned coutry to the US was to stay 14 days in a non-banned country and then travel from there – which I ended up doing in mid-2021 because I was basically going nuts. It was pretty damn expensive, but since nothing had been allowed for a while it's not like I'd spent my money on much, so I had savings, and I needed to prove myself that I could do it. We reunited IRL then for a good week. Then, because they'd fairly recently got a job (which meant more income for travel) and because US citizens WERE allowed to travel to banned countries, THEY visited me in September 2021 (and we formally promised to marry each other someday then, so even travel bans couldn't separate us in the future).
Despite all that, come late October 2021 and with no end in sight for the travel ban, I'd completely spiralled into despair over our future again. The travel ban and other restrictions made seeing each other so much harder and it was seriously taking a toll. Despite everything we'd managed that year, at that time, it felt so hard I was having serious self-endangering thoughts for the first time in my life, and I wanted to give up. That lasted about a couple days until I talked about it to them over videocall and heard their words of support and saw their face and got all angry like "fuck no, they can't take that away from me". So, because they're who they are, and because of extra support from some friends which meant a lot, despite everything, we didn't give up.
Now I'm free to travel to them again so honestly? Maintaining a long-distance relationship feels really easy right now. We text every day, videocall at least once a week and send each other care packages with gifts for our birthdays, holidays and special occasions. (Our time zone difference is 9 hours, which is convenient, cus when I wake up they're more or less about to go to bed so we can chat for a bit, when my workday is over theirs hasn't started yet, and when they're having lunch I'm having dinner, so we often share meals and watch stuff together over video calls.) We're both working adults with a stable source of income, which definitely plays into a lot, cus that means we're much more free to save up and make plans to visit each other – and by god ever since 2021 we've been making much more frequent plans, as of today we have 3 meetups more or less planned, one of them coming up this month actually, so that's pretty great^^
I do live in fear of another travel ban coming out of nowhere, so I do hope we can marry someday – though that'll be its own whole can of worms in terms of coming-out and immigration hardships, but we're determined to work through it. We're determined not to be long-distance forever. Kinda sucks that we have to go through something as amatonormative as marriage to achieve that, but also, ehh, y'know what, if that means someday I get to hang out with them in person everyday, it ain't that bad. It's a means to an end. And I guess it's a cute idea in a way.
...Welp that was way too long. tl;dr it's not easy every day. Some circumstances out of your control can really put you through the ringer sometimes. But on the flip side that means you get out of it stronger and the whole thing's kind of a virtuous circle. The more you fight for it, the more precious it is to you, and the more precious it gets to you, the more you want to fight for it. Kinda comes naturally to me at this point, so, I guess, don't make it a chore. It never felt like one to me. It's all a treasure if anything.

Inktober 2022 day 5 🔥 "Flame"
[sequel to this AU]
"Okay, okay, okay... We need to calm down and think." Said Elsa, her palms open, her pace fast, and the rest of her body language indicating she was doing the opposite of what she said.
Now she was the nervous one and Anna was the calm one. The situation had flipped; Elsa had spent several hours easing her sisters' nerves after the meeting and became the one worrying. Also, Elsa was the Queen, and had the responsibility to protect her people. If Anna were to put fire to the castle or even the town...
'I have to be ready to prevent it.' Preferred to think Elsa, the distinct memory of her own spell on the kingdom two years earlier hitting her mind.
She closed her eyes for a moment, recollecting herself, then breathed out. Her azure eyes landed on the teal blue ones again, Anna's gaze not leaving her.
"Alright. Can you conjure some fire again?"
"You told me an hour ago to stop playing with it." Frowned Anna.
"I would like to see it again." Admitted the blonde.
Anna nodded, lifted her hand and turned her palm up, then joined her fingers and stretched them away in one go. It looked and acted like she had just lit a match, and a small flame popped at the center of her palm, reaching a dozen of centimeters in height.
"There. That's all I can do for now. I mean, of course I can do more, and as you saw before, I can burn things and people, and I'd love to find everything I can do, but... Yeah, we'll content ourselves with that. I should put my bubbly personality aside, it doesn't cope well with fire, doesn't it?" Rambled Anna, nervosity setting in her heart once more.
"Huh." Said Elsa, tilting her head.
The princess frowned. "Did you listen to any word of what I just said?" She reproached, because her elder had been staring at the flame the whole time.
"Of course." Assured Elsa. "It's just... Odd. Your fire is blue now."
Anna shrugged, the flame slightly waving in the movement. "You like blue. At least I'm making you happy."
Elsa had a slight snort. "Thanks. But as impressive as that is, because blue fire is hotter than the red one, I'm concerned."
She even had pointed her hand to Anna when she moved, because if she somehow dropped the flame, the bed would start to burn.
"We should be careful, because it means it has higher combustion." Explained Elsa, her fascinated focus still on the flame.
Anna looked at her with amusement, and she carefully closed her palm to extinguish the fire. "Well, it's a good thing that I have a nerd as a sister and that the kingdom has a specialist in magic to ensure its safety."
Elsa gave her a stare, though she couldn't help but smile at her. She walked to Anna and dropped on the bed next to her. "So. Why now?"
"You're asking me like I know."
The Snow Queen shrugged. "I was born with my powers. Why are yours only revealing now?"
"You think I was born with it too?" Asked Anna.
Elsa couldn't decipher if her tone was overjoyed, proud or worried. Anna had been extremely sorry for hurting her earlier, but also demonstrated great excitement to see what else she could do with her fire powers... The paradox was way too familiar to the Queen's heart.
"...Maybe." She simply said, not sure of what to answer. "But then, what prevented you from using them earlier? Or perhaps... Did you do something specific today?"
Anna pouted. "No. My usual routine. I was with you in the study this morning, then went outside to have a snack with Olaf, then visited people in town, then I went to see Kristoff on--"
She suddenly blushed, and the air around her face instantly turned blur.
"Anna!" Exclaimed her elder with wide eyes, and she gently slammed her cool hands on her skin.
The temperature there was scorching, like Anna's blood was boiling while she blushed. Her blush was getting worse, in fact, realized Elsa as she refreshed her face, and Anna even lifted guilty eyes to her. As soon as the Queen caught them, she looked away.
There was an awkward silence between them.
"...Anna..."
"...What?" Mumbled the redhead.
"...What did you do with Kristoff, exactly?"
The princess lifted her hands. "It was just a kiss, I swear!" She exclaimed.
Her outburst however created two flames on each of her hands, and this time they covered her whole palm and fingers. She looked like a candelabra, but Elsa didn't give them the time to laugh about it. She gasped and quickly sprayed ice on the fire.
There was another silence, both of them stupefied by what had just happened.
"Did it hurt?" Asked Elsa.
Anna widened her eyes again. "Wh-what?"
"Your hands. Did the fire hurt you?"
"Oh. No. I guess it's just like you with cold. It doesn't bother me."
"I see." Nodded Elsa, relieved.
She took Anna's hands in hers, and they were lukewarm again. "Look. You don't need to swear anything. If you don't want to talk about it, I respect it. Genuinely. I just wish to underst--"
"We didn't do anything special." Revealed Anna quickly. She didn't mean to hide any secret from her. "However..."
Elsa's eyes were on her, and she gulped.
"I may have sensed that it... Awakened something in me."
She thought that her sister would mock her, or snort, or ask awkward precisions. But instead, she had a thinking pout.
"Hmmm... Accepting love was the key for me to control my magic, so maybe that physical love was the key to activate yours..."

Day 10 - Old flames
the moon // obfuscation, anxiety, ignorance
I did some research after I closed up shop last night, looking into the arcanical significance of primroses and trying to figure out if there was any particular reason why Oleander had decided that growing a bunch of them by the cafe's front door could constitute equivalent payment for pastries. Luckily, I didn't find anything too ominous - primroses serve as an invitation and an entrance from the fey realm to our one, and the strong presence of them does beckon the visitation of fey folk from time to time. Mostly fey affiliated with the Summer Court, though - most of them are good aligned, so I figured that I might not need to worry too much about getting terrifying visits from evil fey for a while.
I didn't fully realise the ramifications of having what is essentially a fey beacon outside my cafe, until this evening.
The bell above the shop door tinkled sometime earlier this evening, and without missing a beat, I looked up to welcome my newest customer - only to meet tawny green-gold eyes set in a freckled face I'd not seen for more than ten, fifteen years.
"Iris."
Tall stature, stag's antlers upon his head and a mantle of gossamer spider-silk draped over his shoulders - a member of the Summer Court stood in my humble cafe, and as I studied him, I began to recall with dread the new primroses grown outside my cafe that supposedly served as an invitational signal to the fey.
This fey, in particular, I'd not expected to see again - not after he'd decided that he'd grown bored of fooling around with mortals and dumped me unceremoniously out of the fey realm, several years out of time and without any context as to my bearings. The thing about good-aligned fey - nothing about their proclivity to be morally good necessitates that they be kind, or understanding, in the course of their immortal life. And Kyprinyx - he was the prime example of that.
I took a deep breath and pulled myself upright, pasted my best customer service smile on my face and did my best to pretend that it didn't hurt at least a little to see him again. No matter how much magic I've studied in the years past, none of it would be enough to evict an unwelcome archfey from my store, especially if I wanted to keep the space intact. So I had no choice but to play nice.
"Welcome to zen-cha, where we serve tea-infused bakes to all who desire them. What can I get you?"
A laugh, and a smirk. "Imagine my surprise, little flower, when I hear that the human curiosity that had opened up on the edge of this wood happened to be run by you. You've certainly withered some since the last time I saw you."
I took a deep steadying breath, and tried my best to hide my clenched fists under the counter.
"Do let me know if you'd like any recommendations for cakes, sir. I'd be happy to help."
The smirk on his face thinned a little, and for a brief moment I thought I saw something almost like.... understanding? flash through his eyes.
"I'll be travelling over to the Winter Court soon," he said. "What do you have that might travel well?"
A simple request - I could do that. Taking another deep breath, I recommended him our Witch-Hazel Sourdough - I've fine-tuned the recipe since the first time I made it, and it does make a fairly respectable journey-bread.
Thankfully - thankfully - he took the bread, and even had the decency to pay me in mundane currency for it. "A curious little palace you've made for yourself, little flower," he said. "Perhaps I may visit it again."
Please don't, I said in my head, but could do nothing more than smile through gritted teeth as he finally, finally, turned to leave the store.
I heaved a huge sigh of relief, and went to flip the sign on the door to 'Closed'. It was still fairly in the evening, but I needed to emotionally recover from seeing him again, in my current safe space.
After I finish writing this entry in the shop log, I'm going to make a big, bracing pot of sencha, and take it easy tonight.
(I sure hope he doesn't come back, at least for a good long while.)

Not to be touch starved on main but I’d sell one of my kidneys for a h*g.
#Only like two people in my friend group can drive (and one of them works too so we'd have to find a time that works for both)#So usually if I wanna meet anyone I'd have to take the train/bus bc none of them lives in my village either#Which. Y'know. Is currently not necessarily the smartest idea.#Considering covid number are rising and my 80+ y/o grandpa lives next door and if he has computer issues I'll be the one to go over and help#And he won't even get the FIRST shot before April. (If I'm SERIOUSLY lucky I might get mine in late July/early August)#(But if I'm not it might take till next year)#And while mom *is* vaccinated with her workplace there'd be serious issues if there WAS a breakout and like. Risk is tiny anyway but.#Better to keep it as tiny as possible#I met one close friend around New Year's and my best friend like two weeks ago. That's it that's all face to face contact I had with friends#this year#Like I know I'm lucky bc I live at home so I have my family rather than being alone but. I really miss my friends.#Plus it's like. Vaguely frustrating too bc when I moved from like Bavaria to Hamburg last year I was soo EXCITED that I'd FINALLY be close#to where all my friends are so I could finally meet them more often than like once every couple months!!!!! ... yeah so much about that huh#But while I was studying at least when I visited I'd meet them several times and usually all of them#But now...?#(to be exact i miss the hugs of the friend whom I saw at New Year's specifically. he gives great hugs 10/10 would recommend.)#I have to go to the city at some point soon-ish anyway once the book I pre-ordered finally gets to the book store so I can pick it up#And IF she has time then I can meet one of my friends I haven't seen since uhhhh. December?#(and if we're allowed to meet at all. a few weeks ago you couldn't meet ANYONE in that city bc they had a huge breakout.)#(the numbers are down from then but. who knows.)#(like I'm not too worried about meeting One Friend but public transport...)#(Knowing that people are often Not Good about wearing their masks correctly... would rather not do that too often lmao)

A continuation of my headcanon on Usagi and Mamoru's breakup.
When Usagi confronted Mamoru about his cheating, she was in his car; they were about to go on a date. They got into a big argument that ended with Usagi calling off the date, breaking up with him and exiting his car while they were stopped at a red light. With Mamoru's star seed's shine diminished to 50% brightness, he no longer had any romantic attachment to Usagi left in him. Those feelings were formed for Princess Serenity from his past life as Prince Endymion, and his link with Prince Endymion became severed after his star seed lost so much shine. Because of this, he didn't bother to chase after Usagi like he normally would have. And Usagi's decision to end her relationship with Mamoru caused her own star seed to slowly lose its luster, too, effectively beginning the process of Usagi losing her connection to Princess Serenity.
Usagi began walking to Fruits Parlor Crown and called Ami, Rei, Makoto, and Minako on her communicator and asked them to meet her there right away. The five of them all sat at a table, and Unazuki met them to take their order. She asked Usagi how she was doing, and she began sobbing.
Tumblr media
"I broke up with Mamoru earlier today," Usagi began.
"WHAT?!?!" Rei exclaimed, almost spitting out the water she was drinking. "What happened, Usagi?"
"Well, I found out that he cheated on me," Usagi continued.
"You're kidding," Makoto gasped, her hands covering her mouth.
"I wish," Usagi replied. "The worst part of it all is that we got into a big fight about it, and he didn't even apologize to me once. He didn't show me an ounce of remorse for what he did. And you know what, everyone? I'm done with trying to chase after someone who doesn't really have my back. We've been drifting apart ever since he went to go study in the U.S. for real.
"Wow, he could have at least had the courage to end things with you earlier on instead of deciding to cheat on you like a total asshole," Ami boldly remarked. This uncharacteristic comment caused everyone to blush in silence for a few seconds.
Tumblr media
"I agree with Ami," Minako broke the silence. "Mamoru could've been honest with you, but he decided to be a coward instead."
"Do you think I made a mistake by ending things with him?" Usagi asked her friends, tears still falling from her eyes.
Suddenly, a familiar voice calling Usagi's name was heard near the entrance of the cafe. Usagi and her friends jerked their heads to see who it was.
It was Chibiusa. She was supposed to be in the 30th century.
"Usagi!" Chibiusa frenzily shouted, running towards Usagi's table. "I knew I'd find you here! Don't be upset with me, okay? I came back to the 20th century with the Space-Time Key so I could visit you all, but shortly after I arrived, the key vanished from my hands! It's gone, Usagi! I won't be able to go back home now!"

A pansexual horndog , an infp turbuletnt mediator. I use she/her pronouns. I don't know how to describe my character because I feel like my existence makes no sense. I'm shy and anxious, literally struggling with GAD and agoraphobia, yet I love being a center of attention, I can be a show off lmao
I'm sure I'm going to hell because of my dark, edgy humor.
I know it's not really a good think but I think I have something of a 'pick me girl' in me, like I prefer hanging out with the boys™ playing games and stuff. I'm hot-headed and live for drama, always shading people and spilling the tea, but only about ppl that wronged me (we don't stan bullying in this household). However, I believe I can be an actual sweetheart, almost like a mom friend for my closest besties.
My fav colors are black and pink. My fashion style is hard to describe, idk man. Like it's either a sweatpants and an oversized t-shirt kinda situation or a cute lil' skirt with knee-high socks. I always put makeup on tho and I always wear my hair down.
My thoughts tend to be rather grim and dark but at the same time my bedroom is literally princess themed and I collect all things hello kitty.
I don't have any talents or passions. I'm an English language major with minor in business. I am fluent in several languages and currently studying more. I'd like to become a sworn translator or interpreter in the future. I love traveling, been to maaany countries already so I really want to be able to work and travel at the same time.
Sorry babe, I'm really bad at this. I'd love to get matched with one of the Buckets and a Clone boi. I know I omitted the appearance, because, uhhh, me ugly, but you know it lmao.
I ship you with Leia!
I know you are probably disappointed but, please, here me out.
I just picture you and Leia being those cool af gay aunties. You are really beautiful so the Princess would fall for you pretty easily.
She's fiesty and protective and so are you. I'll never stop being thankful for you defending me against nasty anons.
Leia is the biggest social justice warrior just like her momma. I can see you both trying to figure out how to help those in need.
You'd never take any bullshit from no man.
GASLIGHT GATEKEEP GIRLBOSS
bonus: visiting her mom's homeplanet, just you and her, somewhere near a remote lake. Just two baddies being softies, holding each other in their arms.
Sorry for all the typos and errors but I'm having a high fever as I'm writing this. I'm not sure if it's even real or I just started seeing things lool. Also sorry for keeping the ship thingy short, I'd love to write a drabble for you in the future if you like my choice for you.
First off, don’t apologize for typos because I guarantee I will have at least one in my answer for you bb. And second of all THANK YOU for being here and bringing life to my blog and dms with all your thots, I love them all!
Now for your ships, first off of course, I ship you with me lmao buuuuuut,
For the bucket bois I ship you with Paz Vizsla!
Tumblr media
First off I wanna say that Paz is going to wake up every morning and just shower you in love and affection, telling you how perfect and beautiful you are and how much he absolutely loves and adores you. Paz will constantly reassure you and if your anxiety starts getting the better of you he will pull you away from everyone and whisper reassuring, comforting things to you and do whatever he can to help you feel better. Now Paz also has a darker sense a humor and I personally think that comes with being a mandalorian, so he will always chuckle at your jokes and will return it with one of his own because he strives to see you smile and laugh as much as he can make possible. Paz would find it cute that you are always chasing drama and loves to sit and listen to you recite all the drama to him and spill the tea lol. You say you don't have any talents, but Paz is always blown away at how many languages you can speak and how you continue to want to learn more. He also loves that that gives him an excuse to take you with him when he travels so that he can have his cute little translator with him at all times. Not to mention that he loves cuddling up with you in the tiny bed that he has on his ship, as well as other things.
For your clone ship, I am going to ship you with Commander Fox!
Tumblr media
Ok so I wanna say that the two of you some how meet and start a regular meet up at some random shady bar where the two of you will sit for hours passing back rumors and just drama that you have witnessed since the two of you talked last. This goes on for a while before one morning you wake up early to Fox slowly and carefully trying not to wake you up as he untangles himself from you and your bed. After that the two of you start meeting more regularly and usually at your home. Once the two of you really get close and even start a relationship Fox finally relaxes around you. Fox absolutely loves your dark jokes because it is something he doesn't get to hear often with protecting senators and the chancellor almost everyday. Fox has also always loved the way you dressed, whether it be in comfy clothes or your cute skirts, he doesn't care he just likes the idea of wearing something different everyday rather than just blacks and his armor. Fox also likes to play with your hair at any given chance, and he appreciates that you always have it down because it just means that he has easier access too in, especially in certain situations *wink wink*. Fox would be one to stand up for you in any situation, and he may be pretty emotionally stunted and can't quite get the words out most of the time but the second he knows he loves you he will bluntly tell you because he is a blunt man and will not beat around the bush when it comes to you.
Tumblr media
How in the world could I ever be disappointed in being shipped with the best princess and general in the Star Wars galaxy?!?!
Now, everything you wrote? Fucking beautiful I am obsessed and I want to steal Leia away from Han and just hype her up and help her take over and rule the galaxy like she deserves
(And if you wrote more than enough for my ship, but if you wrote me a little drabble with Leia I would die of happiness bb)

Human After All: I'd like to know more about A) Lust realizing that Hohenheim had an actual life in Resembool and B) everyone's reactions to Ed and Al sneaking off to do the human transmutation and the aftermath.
Oh boy here we fuckin go!!!!!
Lust realizing that Hohenheim had a life in Resembool:
Oh boy. Okay so this has some setup.
When Lust first meets Ed and Al, she assumes the situation is a lot different. Basically They're close enough to be mistaken for twins, so she thought it was more "one night stand and disappeared from town but their mom remembered the name and told the kids". Because... Why would he stay?
But then Lust babysits Ed and Al on a trip back to Resembool to visit Winry and her grandma. And like.
Lust gets curious about some things. And she happens to see a photo album out that she can't help but look through.
Of course Granny finds her snooping but just lets her look through it and explains that it's from Winry's parents' wedding. And Lust eventually flips to a page where Hohenheim is in the photo.
Lust pauses on it because it's so strange. First in general, of how Hohenheim looks just like Father but also nothing like him at the same time. Physically identical, but the way they carry themselves is.. Entirely different.
Especially as this picture is kinda goofy. Granny tells her how everyone was hinting to Hohenheim that he should marry Trisha since they were already "basically married". And the newly married Sarah Rockbell had given up pn subtly, and chucked her boquet right at Hohenheim's face with a "sorry I was aiming for Trisha!"(which no one belives because she has incredible aim).
Lust asks more on that. And Granny mentions how Hohenheim and Trisha had been together for a bit amd were already living in the same home. And that pretty much immediatly after that whole "lack of subtly" the pair decided "despite not going through legal paperwork we are married now fuck you' and also bonus pregnancy announcement. Which has Lust relize Ed and Al aren't twins.
But it's weird to her. Because like. Hohenheim had a life here? He was with this woman for a few years and essentially got married (clearly the "don't go through the paperwork" is because he doesn't legally exist). But like. He had a wife and kids. One of the kids seems to have been actually planned. Why would he do that? And why did he leave? No one has answers on that, but Granny says that if he did leave, it was for good reasons. Not whatever the town gossips make up for fun.
Granny is a little sus about Lust's interests in all this because like. I kiiinda mentioned this before on my artblog but he way I draw Lust she actually looks a lot like "if Ed was a girl" and considering how much Ed looks like Hohenheim... They basically look somewhat related. Granny points that out and kinda pulls some Gaslight Girlboss Gatekeep of "nope no relation whatsoever my father just worked with him long ago but it's totally not relevant to anything!"
Anyway!
Later, Lust is wandering around Ed and Al's home because that fucker hasn't burned yet. And she just... Sees more of it.
True. It's been just the boys for years but there's still things like his clothes in the bedroom closet or something casually put on a shelf too high for Trisha to have reached.
The two rooms that really hit are the bedroom and the study.
Tbe bedroom is mostly untouched. But she sees a shelf of little statues. It's strange to her, but she realizes all the statutes are made from Alchemy. About half of them have very obvious marks, a sign of a talented but inexperienced maker. Seeing two distinct styles, she cam guess Ed and Al made those.
The rest are perfect. Intricate and flawless. If they weren't on the shelf with the others, she would've thought they were made by some master clay artist.
Alchemically made trinkets as gifts for someone they love.
The study is another beast altogether. A whole library on Alchemical texts. Some even older than Lust. All marked up with someone's notes in the margins. The same person's notes, as the handwriting doesn't differ. Clearly all these are important. So why leave them?
The real hard hitter is a journal Hohenheim left. Of course Lust reads it. The fact that the journal is written in Xerxian is just another punch to the gut, but thankfully Lust can read it.
It has a lot of things but the main info she reads is an entry from when Ed was just born and Hohenheim is discussing worries over how his whole "Philosophers Stone in Human Form" deal might be effecting Ed in terms of like. Genetics and stuff.
But the main thing Lust focuses on is that Hohenheim mentions discussing those fears with Trisha. That he told her what he was and his whole history and everything.
It's... Confusing to Lust. Why did Hohenheim just settle down here in this small ass rural town with a normal woman? What was it about her that compelled him to stay in one place so long? To settle down after years and have a kid? Having a second kid? And telling her about... Everything?
She finds no answer because, from all accounts, it seems like Trisha was just a normal, small-town girl. She didn't even have an interest in Alchemy! Just gardening. Why her? Why not someone at least... Great and powerful to match what he was? Even if no one could truly compare to what he was.
Everyone's reactions to Ed and Al sneaking off to do Human Transmutation:
Oh boy. This is a big plot point.
So the boys had quite a plan to trick the adults. Lust has gone on trips out of town for weekends(reporting back to Father), and she's also babysat the boys on a trip to Resembool before. So the boys wait until one of her trips and tell Roy and Riza that she's taking them on a different trip to Resembool. None of the adults know this until Lust comes back without them and has no idea where they were.
They put it together real fast and all three book it to the train station. Several hours of worried pacing of what could've happened.
Roy and Riza are entirely in the dark of what might happen. Lust though... She knows how the Gate works. And what could have happened.
She knows that There's a Price to pay. And while she was planning on encouraging the boys to go through the Gate anyway, she was supposed to be involved with it so she could trade a part of her Philosopher's Stone for their safety. Obviously just so they don't loose a Sacrifice to blood loss or later infection! Not because she cares or anything! But yeah without her, who knows what the Price may be?
They check the boys house first. They see plenty of blood, which is a terrifying sight. But they also see a trail leading out. And that if the boys are still alive, they probably went to the Rockbell place.
Which yeah. Granny's already waiting for them. She wants to yell at them for failing, but it would be hypocritical sinve she didn't notice the first time around.
She tells them the boys are alive but fucked up. Ed lost a couple limbs and Al is... Hard to explain.
Lust is the first to notice the suit of armor in the living room. The way it's arranged like a child, curled up and hiding, barely peeking out from behind the "arms". Light in it's "eyes", like someone's in there watching her.
She remembers the experiments done on the death row inmates. Puttin Souls in suits of armor. She's horrified, but not surprised, when it moves.
That is a whole conversation. Lust has to pretend she doesn't know how that works(while also questioning how the boys managed it). Al tells them what he remembers, which is just everythiny going wrong and then being in the armor and Ed missing some limbs.
We have a long emotional scene when Roy goes to talk to Ed.
Ed is very much not okay at this point and he's trying to be angry but it's just not really there. And he just asks why Roy is still there. He failed to keep them from fucking up why does he still care? Just go back home and leave them so he doesn't have to deal with them anymore.
Well that's just heartbreaking. Roy just talks to him about a lot of things. And the main thing was that this wasn't just "I'm gonna try and stop you but whoops failed that bye bitch" situation. He's not just going to drop the kids because he failed once. He's not even going ti drop them after months of pushing him away and being stubborn about the whole situation. They're a family now damn it.
And Ed kinda feels like that might be worse, because he threw that away ti go fuck up. But Roy tells him it's not "thrown away". They're still going to be here for him. And figure things out.
Later at night, Roy, Riza and Lust all kinda sneaknout individually. Which does lead to some comedy until Granny catches them and calls them idiots. But all of them were thinking of going to the boy's house and looking over their notes.
Roy and Lust are the only ones who can make heads or tails of the notes. Riza can follow some but gets lost and Granny never was an Alchemy person. Roy's looking more for "what went wrong" while Lust is focused more on "what went right". And Lust does find that though they came very close to making a Homunculus, they did do everything pretty right. She accidentally comments on that, which leads to a horrifying theoretical of "what if the boys managed to make a fake Trisha that looked and acted like her but wasn't her?". This also leads to the more disturbing question of "what was it they did manage to make"?
This is a thing that came up in Canon, but here they get answers of the thing that they made wasn't their mom, and you can't bring back the dead. Ed and Al take that news about as well as they did in Canon as well.
The "possible homunculus" thing comes up too with the others wondering if Al really is Al and not just... Something vaguely like him that Ed accidentally created. (Lust knows but can't tell how she knows rip!). Riza to the rescue on this one by asking Al about something Ed shouldn't know about. So that existential crisis is averted!
Of course there's discussion of what to do to help Ed and Al. Which... Does lead to getting back toward Canon of "have Ed become a State Alchemist". It's debated a lot because ya know. Sure it's the best option to help them have the freedom and access to stuff tk find shit but. Ya know. Roy already feels like he failed to protect these kids once already this is not helping.
Anyway! One more fun scene!
Please imagine once Ed gets the automail arm and just does the clap-slap Alchemy. And Roy and Riza are like "yo what the FUCK???"

“Yes, mom. I’ve arrived safely. No, I didn’t encounter any weirdos on my way. Don’t worry, I’ll call you again tonight. Tell the others I said hi! Love you, mom.”
I end the call with a small smile, imagining the worried look on mom’s face. From today onwards, I’ll finally be able to live alone as a proud adult!
But there is only one tiny problem.
How do I get to my apartment again?
So I’m currently left with no other options than to ask some locals for directions.
Sure, I got the address for my apartment from my kind landlord but I never did ask him for directions because I’m confident I remembered the way to my own apartment from my highschool days.
Apparently, my ‘amazing’ memory decided that 1 year and a half of not visiting the place means that I won’t come back there ever again and wiped out the directions from my brain.
As I looked around for any sign of friendly locals that I could ask directions from, I heard a cheerful voice behind me.
“You look like you’re in quite the trouble there, miss! Care to tell us the problem?”
“Ah, yes! May I know the way to-- huh?”
I turned around with a big smile on my face, relieved that someone is kind enough to offer their help but stopped halfway when I saw who it was.
"Huh?"
The person seemed equally as shocked when he saw me too, making the both of us stare at each other for a moment, just to make sure we’re not seeing the wrong person.
"Mirio...?"
A smile quickly made its way to his face when I uttered his name, probably because he knew that his assumption was right.
"Y/N! So it really IS you!"
He makes his way to me and wraps his big arms around my body as I quickly follow suit.
"Oh my gosh! It's been so long! Can't believe I'd meet you here!"
I let go of him and shake his hands excitedly, my smile never leaving my face as the excitement and nostalgia washed over my entire being.
"For real! I'm happy to see you again!"
He flashes his bright smile that I’m so used to. I look behind him to see a confused green-haired boy staring at the both of us.
"Oh, isn't that..."
Mirio took notice of my attention towards the boy and turned to him.
"I think you remember him from high school. This is Midoriya. He's currently working under my agency for his Hero Work-Studies."
Midoriya took Mirio's brief introduction as his cue to introduce himself and bowed his head at me.
"N-nice to meet you! I'm Midoriya Izuku and I go by the name Deku."
I clapped my hands together as I remembered something when I heard his introduction.
"Right! The problem child!"
Mirio laughs at my exclamation while Izuku smiles awkwardly at me. I sure did remember the boy that Mirio always talked about during the Hero Work-Studies in our senior year (I wished my memories for directions are as good as this).
"Are you patrolling around this area?"
I ask Mirio while carefully observing his hero costume. It looks a bit different from what I remembered. He must've done some changes to it.
"Yep! Speaking of, you were about to ask for directions right? Where are you heading to?"
"Ah, right..."
I suddenly hesitated to ask for help after knowing that it was Mirio. It would've been so embarrassing if my best friend knew I forgot the way to my own apartment. He would definitely tease me about it.
“Uh….directions for….um...”
“For your apartment?”
Mirio guesses and flashes me his teasing smile. I glare at him as I feel my own cheeks heating up. Mirio gives a hearty laugh and slaps my back several times in an attempt to cheer me up.
“Don’t worry, I’ll help with the directions! It’s pretty close by here too so you are on the right track! Just walk straight along this path then make a right turn. If you’ve forgotten what your apartment looks like, I can--”
I put my hand up to stop him from talking and give an annoyed look.
“Mirio, I AT LEAST knew what my apartment looks like. I just need the directions...”
Mirio laughs again and rests his hand on my shoulder.
“I understand if you forget things, Y/N. It’s been almost 2 years since you last came here.”
I smile at him, grateful that he’s so understanding of my situation.
“Thanks, Mirio. Oh, right! Tell me your number. We can continue chatting over the phone. You must be busy patrolling right now. Sorry to take your time!”
I quickly take out my phone from my handbag and Mirio follows suit.
“Don’t worry over it too much! A hero is always ready to help anyone in need.”
Well, I’m glad that that part of him didn’t change at all. Still the same cheerful Mirio, just like back during our school days.
“Oh and Y/N? Do you already have a job here?”
I look away from my phone and send a toothy grin at him.
“Yep! I’ll be working at my relative’s restaurant. I’ll give you the location later so feel free to drop by whenever! I’ll start working next week so come by then if you’re free.”
“I see! That’s good for you. I’ll tell you when I will drop by!”
“Okay. Well then, good luck doing hero works, you two! Teach those baddies some lessons for me, will ya?”
I did some air punches and laughed at my own silliness. The problem child seemed amused and motivated though, so I guess I did do them a favor.
I wave my hands at the both of them before turning around and making my way to my apartment. I quickened my steps as soon as I reached the right corner and spotted my apartment complex. Gotta unpack all those stuff and do some cleaning after all. The giddy feeling in my chest made me feel like a teenager again and I just couldn’t help but to be excited to see my precious home again after so long.
~~**~~
“So that’s L/N-senpai? This is the first time I’ve seen her. I heard that during the second term of her senior year, she was involved in an accident so she was forced to go back to her hometown to rest there.”
Mirio looks at Izuku with a small smile. He understands why Izuku is curious about Y/N’s situation, since she did become the hot topic of the school for a while.
“She wasn’t originally from here after all. The apartment she was heading to was her house during her high school years. But yeah, turns out her condition was worse than they had thought so she was forced to drop out of UA.”
Izuku gasps slightly, his usual bright face turning a bit dark.
“I wonder how L/N-senpai must’ve felt. She was so close to graduating and becoming a Pro Hero too.”
“Yeah...but I’m sure she’s fine so don’t worry much!”
Mirio gives a hard slap behind Izuku’s back and almost making him fall over. The two of them continued chatting away as they patrol around the area, keeping the place safe from all evils just like a true hero that they are.

《 Boy Group Masterlist // ONEUS Masterlist // Series Masterlist 》
Tumblr media
It's been about a week and a half since Geonhak first joined you to take Sunho to school. Since then, Geonhak has been accompanying you both almost every school day, waking up early to meet you outside of the apartment and ride the bus with you and Sunho. Sunho loves it. He tells Geonhak about the games he plays, the books he's read, the stuff he's learning in class.
Some days, after dropping off Sunho with you, Geonhak will head to his dorm or to his practice. But on those days where you didn't want to return to your father's apartment, Geonhak would take you wherever you wanted to go, for as long as you wanted to be out. Whether it was just for some drinks, or to hang out at his dorm with him and his members. Seoho has, indeed, told you many embarrassing stories about Geonhak. Which provoked Geonhak to chase him around. Sometimes, you even get to watch them practice at their studio.
You and Sunho sit next to each other at the dinner table. Your father sits across from you, and Sooyeon sits across from Sunho. All of your plates are mostly empty from a filling dinner made by Sooyeon.
"Today, we practiced multiplication," Sunho says to you. "Areum helped me with it. She's better at it than me."
"Really?" you ask, grinning. "You can ask me if you need help. I know a bit about multiplication."
Sunho taps his feet excitedly. "Does Mr. Kim know multiplication?"
You pretend to think about it. "Hm. He should. Do you want him to help you practice?" Sunho nods, and you grin. "If you ask me, it seems like you like Mr. Kim more than you like me," you say, tickling him. He giggles.
"No! You're the one who reads to me every night."
"Who's Mr. Kim?" your father asks, interrupting. You look at him, and he asks again. "Who's Mr. Kim?"
"Oh, uh . . ."
You hesitate. You don't know why you don't want to tell him. Maybe it's because you want to separate your life at home from your time with Geonhak. Maybe it's because after all of this time you've spent with Geonhak and his group members, they've become almost a second family, your home, a safe place. And when you're with them, your father and Sooyeon vanish. Just for a moment. And you want to keep that safe. You don't want your father asking Geonhak to join a family dinner, and make you face the reality that you only really have one family.
"No one," you say. "Just a friend."
Your father tilts his head curiously. He looks at Sooyeon. "Clean the dishes, won't you?" he asks her. Sooyeon nods, standing up, and takes all of the dishes from the table. You hear the sound of the running water of the sink, as your father leans forward over the table.
Besides. You're an adult, and haven't seen your father properly in years. It's not like you owe him an explanation for anything.
"He's just a friend," you say.
"And how did you meet this friend here? You've only been here for a month and a half."
You shake your head. You don't have the energy to explain it. And you don't need to explain it to him.
"I need some space." You get up from the table and head for your room, and you can hear the sound of your father's chair being pushed backward as he stands up to follow you.
"Y/N, you're supposed to be able to tell me everything. I'm your father."
If you weren't so busy trying to get some distance between you and your father, you'd roll your eyes. Ideally, you'd be able to tell your father everything and everything. But you haven't spent real quality time with him since the start of high school. And he isn't exactly close to you fatherly-wise.
You push open your door and try to slam it shut behind you. But just before the door closes, the door swings back twice as hard, the handle hitting you right in the hip and the edge of the door itself slamming into your lower arm and knocking you back, and you wince in pain, holding onto your arm.
"Fuck," you mumble.
That's gonna bruise.
You step back and place your hand on the bed to maintain balance. You glare at your father. He's staring at you in a way that makes you feel so small. You don't speak a word, as his eyes fall onto your arm. His expression changes.
"Ah, shit. Y/N, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to--"
"Just go," you say. You move to sit on your bed before lying down, not looking at him. "I'm tired. Please just go."
There's silence. Then, you hear the door close, and you relax, shutting your eyes tight. You just want to fall asleep. Maybe in the morning, you'll wake up and realize that it was you who was being unreasonable, or you overreacting.
Tumblr media
Today, you and Geonhak are sitting at a table at the back of the library, after having taken Sunho to school. You two are pouring over a comic book together, snickering at the funny parts between sips of the cold drinks before you.
You two have been sitting there for the past three hours already. Time really flies when you spend time with him. He makes you so happy. Even when you two are walking in silence, not talking, you feel satisfied.
You know that you don't see him as just a friend now. He makes you so happy. Whenever you see him at the beginning of the day, when he shows up to take Sunho to school with you, you feel the butterflies burst in your stomach. You've never felt as safe with anyone as you do with Geonhak.
As your book comes to an end, you place it aside and check your phone. It's about 11:30AM.
"We should get ready to go," you say. "I have some readings to finish before I go back home."
"Maybe you could come over to the dorm?" Geonhak suggests. "I could make you some lunch. And you could do your studies at my dorm. If you want."
You grin. "Sure. I'd like that."
Tumblr media
Geonhak sits next to you as you work on your computer on the couch. Two windows are open on your screen, one with your reading and one to take notes on. Your sandwich lays half eaten on a plate on the table in front of you.
"Sunho was talking, yesterday, about wanting you to help him with subtraction," you say to Geonhak.
"Oh, really? I'd love to."
"I know." You glance at Geonhak. While you've been looking at your computer screen, you've been somewhat aware of Geonhak's eyes on you the entire time. You don't know why he's been watching you this whole time, and you don't want to ask.
You reach over your computer for your sandwich, and your arm bumps the top of the screen, right where the door had hit you last night after your father threw it open. It did end up bruising, as did the spot on your hip. But the one on your hip wasn't as bad.
You wince and lift your arm a bit, and instead reach around your computer instead of over. You don't want to worry Geonhak, and pray that he didn't see or notice. But you weren't so lucky.
"Huh?" Geonhak looks at you. "Are you okay?"
"Oh, yeah. I just . . . I hurt my arm yesterday is all."
Geonhak carefully takes your hand in his, watching you to make sure you're okay with it. When you don't stop him, he slides your sleeve up your arm and inspects the purple bruise carefully.
"You did this to yourself?" he asks, looking up at you with concern, his fingers gently tracing the outline of the bruise. You can't lie to him. You don't want to. And, to be honest, you don't think your brain or mouth will let you.
"Well . . . no, not exactly," you say, shaking your head.
"Who did this?"
You hesitate.
You don't want Geonhak to think you're friends with him just because you still need help coping with your family problems. And you definitely don't want to be a burden.
Your mouth doesn't let you lie.
"My dad hit me with the door yesterday," you admit.
Geonhak looks furious. "He did what? Y/N, I thought--"
"I don't think he meant to do it," you blurt out. "I mean--I don't think he meant to hurt me. He was just mad."
"That's the case every time," Geonhak says, staring into your eyes. "It's always that 'he was just mad.' But that's not an excuse for him to hurt you."
You stare back at Geonhak, and nod. You know he's right. That your father is hurting you, and at this point, it doesn't matter if he means to or not.
"You're right."
After a second, he takes your hands in his reassuringly, and looks you right in the eyes. "Hey. Y/Nie. Do you want to stay here tonight? I don't want you going back there, if you aren't going to be safe."
You look up at him. You almost want to say yes. But you also don't want to. On one hand, you want to spend more time with him. He makes you happy. You trust Geonhak more than anyone else.
But on the other hand, you don't trust him completely. Or anyone. You've given up on that. When the person you were supposed to trust most, your own parent, broke your trust, how can you trust anyone else like that?
You smile, pulling your hands away from him, and you shake your head.
"It's alright," you say. "Thank you for the offer, Hak, really. But like I said earlier, I'd like to give him one more chance. And I don't want to be a bother to you or your members, so if something happens, I'll just get a hotel room someplace," you say.
He tilts his head curiously and frowns. "You won't be a bother, Y/N. The members love you, trust me. Seoho definitely loves telling you about my embarrassing moments," he says grinning.
You smile,  but shake your head. "Thank you, Geonhak. But really, I think I'll stay at a hotel if something happens."
Geonhak sighs, then nods,  pulling his hand away from yours, and you feel yourself deflate a bit. "I'm always here if you need me, okay Y/Nie?"
"Of course."
You two continue to hang out a bit longer, until it's time for you to pick up Sunho from his school and for Geonhak to head to his work. You wish him a good day of practice, and leave to walk to Sunho's school on your own.
You have no idea where your mind is as you walk. It seems to be wandering everywhere, so much that you're barely aware of where you're going. You're on autopilot as you walk to Sunho's school. It's a wonder you don't accidentally walk into a lamp post
You know that you like Geonhak. You know that you have romantic feelings for him, however small. But right now, the last thing you want to do is act on them.
Growing up as a small kid, you had looked up to your parents. At first, you'd thought they were the best couple ever--seeing that parents are supposed to be their kids' role model.
But naturally, as your parents' marriage fell apart, so did your idea of love. How could you trust anyone with your heart when one of the people you were supposed to trust the most--your own father--already had broken your trust? You don't know if you're able to trust anyone like that. At least, for now. For you, you're happier just being friends with someone who you want to be more with.
But you also don't want to spend so much time close to Geonhak that you fall deeper in your feelings. Spending another night with him will make you want to spend another, and another. And you're too worried that that'll lead to you two being more than friends. Which you're not ready for.
You look up and realize you're at your destination. The gates leading to the school are there before you, standing a little taller than you are.
You stand, waiting outside of the gates in front of Sunho's school, like a parent waiting for their kid. You're a couple minutes early, so you're waiting, listening to your music while staring in the direction of the school while you think about how you like Geonhak but don't want to like Geonhak.
Your thoughts are interrupted by a small ring! from your phone. You look down, frowning, and you see that you just received a text from Geonhak. You click the message to see what he said.
Geonhak 🐥: The members were asking about you. They say hi and they hope you're doing well!
Above the text is a selfie Geonhak took. You can see Youngjo, Seoho and Dongju beside him, as well as Keonhee and Hwanwoong reflected in the mirror behind him. They're all smiling brightly, waving, making peace signs or hearts and silly faces. You can't help but smile. He and his members are all so sweet, and you can't help but smile dumbly as you type a text back.
You: Aww! Tell them thank you for me! 💕
You: And thank you for spending time with me today.
Just after you send the second text, you can hear the bell ring in the distance, signaling the end of Sunho's school day. A couple minutes pass as some students start exiting. They run to their waiting older parents or siblings. As you continue looking over the kids, you spot him.
Sunho is talking to two friends next to him. One little girl, who you recognize as his best friend Areum, and another kid who you don't know the name of. Sunho sees you, waves goodbye to his friend, and runs over to you.
"Hi Y/Nie!" he says, running over to grab your hand. "I can't wait to tell you about what I learned today! And Mr. Kim!"
You smile as you lead him to the bus stop. "I can't wait to hear it. And I'm sure Mr. Kim will be happy to hear it tomorrow before school, too!"
"Yeah!" He grins widely. "Can I show you at home?"
You grin. "Of course. Sunho," you say. You look up at the sky. The sun is bearing down on you. It's hot as hell today. You look down at Sunho. "How about we go and get you some ice cream. Does that sound good?"
"Yes please!"
You smile, leading the way toward the ice cream place you've gone once with Geonhak and Sunho.
You don't know what it is, but you find so much joy in pampering and treating Sunho. Maybe it has something to do with the fact that you didn't get enough affection from your father, and you've seen that your father doesn't give Sunho any attention either. You want to give Sunho everything you lacked as a child.
You smile softly down at Sunho.

LET ME KNOW IF YOU WANT TO BE TAGGED
Tumblr media
Five days detoxing at Doc's house+rehab+therapy=road to recovery=out of the woods. It's the magical equation I swore up and down wouldn't end in "Error."
The few dishes on the counter shatter into the floor once Nikki roughly sits me on it, his fingers digging into my thighs that wrap securely around him, our tongues twisting as we tug and pull at each other's clothes.
I get his pants undone as he pulls the towel from around my body, taking a handful of my soaking wet hair in his hand and tugging my head back to leave bites and bruises up and down my neck, causing me to hum in pleasure while my core pulses with anticipation to be filled by him.
Moving myself to the edge of the counter, spreading my legs as he runs his fist up and down his length a few times, I take heavy breaths, a wash of shame coming over me for a moment because this is the complete opposite of what we were instructed to do.
But fuck the "no contact" rule.
I've barely had any contact with him the past few months because he's been stoned or drunk. Telling me to practically ignore and avoid him for 30 days straight is like waving a loaded syringe in an addict's face before sitting it down in front of them and leaving them alone after telling them "okay I know it's right there and it's the one thing you struggle most to control yourself around, but don't even look at it."
Fuck that, and Nikki. And I refuse to walk around my own house anymore and not do the latter of those two.
The indescribable feeling of him pushing into me has my head tipping back , and my eyes closing as the both of us let out content sighs.
I put my weight on one of my hands that rests on the counter beside me, the other hand wrapped around the back of Nikki's neck, as he moves in and out of me ferociously and I meet him thrust for thrust.
Let's take a step back and catch up on how he and I had gotten to that point.
Eight Days Earlier
"You two can detox at my place, check into rehab, come out when you're better and we'll go from there." Doc explains to Nikki and Tansy as they both sit on our couch.
"W-What about the press? Or my mom?" Tansy asks him nervously, fumbling with the tag on the throw blanket she's enveloped in.
"You let me deal with your mom and the media, alright?" Doc assures her.
"Surely your mom won't be pissed at you for getting help, Tans." I try to tell her and she rubs her lips together.
"People will know I have a problem if I got to rehab." She points out. "It'll make me look bad."
"Having to cover your entire body with makeup to hide the discoloration of your skin and the track marks, looks bad, Tansy. Screw what people think. At least you're admitting you need help." I say and she doesn't reply, just looking at Nikki to gauge his reaction to all of this.
He looks pissed, but too tired and defeated to give a shit enough to argue with me anymore about it.
"What's the point of rehab if I'm just gonna end up kicking it at Doc's place?" Nikki asks me and I let out a breath.
"Because rehab will teach you coping mechanisms that Doc can't, Nikki. It won't take that long for you to get out if you just try your best at it." I reply and he scoffs.
"So, what, you're babysitting me at Doc's until I'm done throwing up, shitting myself, and having hot and cold flashes and then shipping me off for a few weeks?" He cuts his dead eyes at me and Doc and I exchange looks.
"Well, it depends on how quickly you adjust to rehab and make a turn around, as to how soon you can get out...so it might be more than a few weeks." Doc informs him. "And Bob has already scheduled you and Viv an appointment with a marriage therapist."
"Well if I'm spending more than three weeks in rehab there's no point in working on our marriage."
"The program you'll be in includes this particular therapist who's currently working on creating a schedule for Vivian to come visit you often and you two have your sessions bi-weekly." Doc states and Nikki rolls his jaw, looking at me.
"Is this what you really want? Your husband gone for weeks on end until some quack gives me a certificate and a gold star because I went 'X' amount of time without shooting up?" He harshly questions me and I rub my lips together.
I think of the reasons Nikki didn't spend more than three days in rehab the first time he went, was because A.) He refused to believe in a higher power, and B.) He didn't go to rehab because he knew he had a problem and wanted to get better, he went to rehab to appease the people around him because he felt we were twisting his arm until he gave up and cried "mercy" a.k.a "fine I'll go, just as long as you shut the fuck up and get off my back about it."
I look at him for a moment, studying his knotted hair, his yellow skin, his shot eyes, his weak appearance, before saying:
"I'd rather you hate me for a little while for getting you help, instead of waking up and trying to convince myself to continue to live in a world with no Nikki Sixx in it."
"We're not indestructible, Nikki." Tansy adds softly, knowing very well she and he both need help.
He doesn't say anything else.
She had Doc and I convinced she wanted help...but truth be told Nikki actually went to rehab while Tansy had Duff come get her from Doc's house.
She knew she had a severe problem, but the only time Tansy would "clean up" was when she gave her veins a break, out of fear of completely losing them, and was muscling smack. She would fall back on pills and lots of booze, then when some of her veins would start reviving themselves back from their smaller size, she would start up again.
I can't even say how much money she and her mother were paying people to keep quiet to the media.
Nobody could know perfect Tansy Lyn, Playboy's Barbie Doll, was so broken inside that she repeatedly destroyed her body, let it rebuild, and wrecked it again.
It must have been a punch in the face to her mom when Tansy came clean in '88 and admitted she had struggled with addiction and was going into rehab...and an even harder punch in the face when she came back in into the spotlight in 1989, dropping her stage name "Tansy Lyn" and dawning "Tansalyn Rose" after marrying Axl, and practically confessed every grimy detail of her obsession with hard drugs and alcohol since 1981, and why she started them to cope with what was happening behind the scenes of the brutal modeling industry.
In 1990, her vision-come-to-life, "I Won't Just Smile", was born. It started as a campaign to raise awareness against sexual abuse, exploitation, and coercion in all corners of the modelling industry, then stemmed into an organization that offered free services to victims of addiction and abuse, from rehab to post-assault counseling and everything in between.
Years of Diane's hard work to create her daughter's untouchable persona, completely shattered.
I was just thrilled Tansy had turned her struggles around and used them to help others, but first, she would have to face a handful of overdoses, one of which nearly killed her, have a section of her liver cut out, and have a temporary pace-maker.
All of it just made Axl more strict about drugs. Not just for the sake of the band and the fans, but he was afraid some members of Guns in particular would pull Tansy back into the merry-go-round of addiction after she got clean.
"You're telling me I can't stay with him and Tansy?" I ask Doc harshly in a whisper once the four of us get to his house.
"You won't want to stay, Viv. I'm telling you, they're gonna pull out all the stops to get you to cave and get them some smack because they'll be in so much pain. I don't want you to see them like that and I don't want you to compromise their recovery." He explains.
"You think I would do that?!"
"I know you would if it came down to it." He states and I roll my jaw. "This isn't just little flu symptoms and some body aches. They will feel like they are going to die, they will look like they are going to die and I cannot trust you not to give in." His brutal honesty. "You'll be able to see them in about a week, they'll be better by then and then we can look at the next step. Got it?"
I just glare at him.
"Go kiss 'em 'bye' and fuck off." He says next, waving his hand at me dismissively as he goes to my car to grab Nikki's bag and his car to grab Tansy's.
I step back into the living room to tell them 'bye' but stop myself, deciding it's better to let Doc deal with Nikki's pissed off temper when he discovers I won't be staying with them.
Grabbing my car keys from the table by the door, I head the house.
When I get back to our house, I check the machine that's blinking a light to signal a missed call.
I go to the kitchen and get a glass of water as Slash's voice slurs through the speaker.
"H-Hey, Viv, um...uh...we..." I chuckle at his incoherent mumbling and step to the phone to call him back as another message starts playing where his left off.
"Viv," It's Duff. "Call us back as soon as you can."
I furrow my brows a little, about to dial them back until yet another message comes on.
"Viv, we got signed!" Steven's screaming has me dropping my water and the phone, joy coursing through the soles of my feet up to my hair, and I'm running around and screaming along with his recorded message loudly blaring his own excitement.
I run back to the phone and pick it up, dialing their apartment.
"We got signed!" Steven's voice is shouting at me before the phone even rings a single ring.
"When?! How?! By who?!" I say back.
"We'll tell you over dinner because guess who got $7,500 cash advances?! The same mother fuckers who've been stealing from strippers to get by, that's who!" He exclaims.
"Yeah, don't ever tell people you guys did that!" I say in the same tone. "Lemme change and I'll be over there, okay?"
"Okay." He replies, and I can just hear his smile through the phone.
I hang up and give one last scream of happiness before sprinting to get changed and leave.
Tom Zutaut, the same man responsible for giving Mötley Crüe their shot, had given the same shot to Guns N' Roses.
They had signed to Geffen Records, and although that was their second goal--the first was getting a band together--they knew the main goal was to release their first album, and hopefully, have it a success.
Before I can even knock on the door, it's swinging open and Steven's like a puppy, jumping around, waiting on me by the door.
I hug him tightly, trying to keep myself from crying with immense relief that they're one step closer--a giant step closer--to their dream.
When we pull away from each other, Duff holds his hand up for me to give him a high-five and I do, his fingers locking with my hand to pull me into a hug and I'm sandwiched between him and Steven momentarily.
A flash catches my eye and we pull away from each other to see a girl with short, blonde hair, that I've never seen before, holding a camera.
"That's gonna be a good one." She tells us, smiling at Duff as the Polaroid deposits.
Mandy Brixx, member of the punk band, Lotus Lame and The Lame Flames, was a cute girl with bleach blonde hair, beautiful brown eyes and a captivating smile...and was also Duff's first wife.
Mandy wasn't perfect, but she didn't disown Duff after he told her he had gotten me pregnant.
Even though he didn't cheat on her with me, and they had been broken up for about six months when he and I got involved, I know it hurt her knowing he had hooked up with the woman she was sure she didn't have to worry about when they dated. They ended up getting back together in 1988 and got married the same year.
They divorced two years later because something just "changed" and neither of them were happy, but I've always respected her because she was really good to Monroe.
His second wife, however, was crazier than a run over dog because she was always on something.
The last time I saw her in 1993, she had said something crass and rude to Tansy and before Tansy could reply, I was asking Linda, "were you born a cunt or does the crack just bring it out of you?"
She swung on me and I swung back. Except when I throw a punch, I make sure it lands.
Maybe she would've actually hit me if her equilibrium weren't as fried as her brain.
I would've kicked her ass if Duff and Matt Sorum hadn't pulled me off of her.
I hope she got her shit together after they divorced in 1995.
I guess bass players and crack-head models go hand-in-hand...
"Viv, this is my girlfriend, Mandy." Duff introduces me. "Mandy, this is my best friend, Viv."
"Hi, it's good to finally meet you." Mandy tells me with a gentle smile and I extend my hand to her.
"You, too." I reply as she takes my hand in her's, my eyes subtly flickering to Duff now that he's standing beside her, silently asking him when the hell he was going to tell me about his girlfriend.
"I'll tell you later." He mouths to me where she can't see and I just keep smiling as she strikes up conversation with me.
Once we get to the Rainbow, Steven and I are a few steps in front of Duff and Mandy, the blonde drummer letting out a little sigh.
"What is it?" I ask, nudging him.
"Just worried about Tansy." He admits, and I raise my brows. "It's not like that, Viv, I swear." He promises. "She's a cool person, is all. I wish she was here to celebrate this with us."
"I'm sure she'll be thrilled to hear about it when you're allowed to go visit her in rehab." I remind him. "Where's the guys?" I ask next as we step into the Rainbow.
"Slash is hanging out with this chick he met a couple weeks ago, Izzy's with his girl friend and I don't know where Axl is." He tells me and I nod. "So it's just a double date for us tonight." He grins widely, winking at me slickly.
After hours of just goofing off, talking, eating and demonstrating our celebration of Guns' stepping stone, Mandy's calling it a night.
"I'll call you later, Duff." She says to him as she grabs her jacket and he stands up to let her scoot out of the booth.
"Sounds good, babe." He replies, kissing her cheek.
"It was really nice to meet you." She tells me.
"It was nice to meet you, too." I reply.
"Bye." She smiles one last time at Duff, waving to Steven before leaving.
"When did you me--"
"Viv, lemme out." Steven interrupts me and I furrow my brows.
"What?"
"Lemme out, there's a hot girl at the bar and she just waved me over. I wanna get laid. Lemme out." He pleads and I roll my eyes and scoot out so he can stand up.
He does so, heading straight to the bar to try his luck with a beautiful brunette.
And then there were two.
"You were saying?" Duff chuckles out when Steven's gone and I smile a little.
"When did you and Mandy meet?" I ask him and he lets out a breath of cigarette smoke.
"Uh, a month ago, maybe? She gave me her number and I went back and forth with myself until I convinced myself to call her." He explains. "We spent the weekend together so I guess we get along pretty good. She's a great girl."
"She seems nice." I tell him, tucking a strand of my hair behind my ear.
"Yeah, she is." He agrees, taking another drag of his cigarette.
I take a sip of my water and sit in the silence that falls over us before noticing he's staring at me.
"What?" I ask him.
"You wanna go somewhere with me?" He offers, putting his cigarette out.
"Where?"
"C'mon." He stands up, nodding to the door.
"But Steven--"
"--Is about to go mess around with that girl in the bathroom. He's not gonna be mad if we leave him." He adds. "C'mon, you'll like where we go."
"If you say so." I shrug.
He pays the bill and the two of us head back to their apartment so he can get his car.
I know I should have been at home by the phone, waiting for a call from Doc or Nikki or Tansy, but it was pointless to sit at home and worry when I couldn't do anything about it anyway.
When we get to where we're going, Duff is parking his car in the lot of an abandoned building, and I glance around to see there's not much traffic around us.
"Is this the part where you murder me?" I ask him and he busts out in laughter, shaking his head.
"This is where Mandy and her band rehearses." He explains.
"Why're we here?"
"I picked her up here the other day and noticed something you might like." He gets out the car and opens his trunk, pulling out a shopping bag.
"Duff..." I say, uneasy as we approach the rusted door.
"Shh, I got it." He digs in his jacket pocket and plucks out a worn key, unlocking the dead bolt and the door knob.
I follow him inside, and he switches on a light switch, only one light beam in the ceiling comes on, and in the large, dim room, I see a large mirrored wall, sleek but worn out wood floors, and I turn to see Duff holding out a brand new pair of pointe shoes to me.
I wasn't going to tell him I'd gone so long without dancing that I'd have to work my way back up to dancing on pointe, because he'd spent money for the shoes and they looked to be around my size and I didn't want to know how observant he had to be to estimate my shoe size in terms of ballet...so I did something I was really good at doing at that time in my life.
I kept myself from crying.
I knew Duff was going to be a constant encourager in my life when he held those shoes out to me and so easily, so confidently, said:
"You've supported and helped me get into my groove of things to start accomplishing my dream. Now, I'm helping you get back into your's."

This is Azalea Utazás. She is one of the two protagonist's of my story Mortals" Folly". I'd like you all to get to know her better.
She was born 1813CE (Common Era)
She is currently 21 years old.
Her height is 5"11".
Azalea grew up in the far Northwest Country of Belthaziir. It's is home to the Atherians, the Set'Læyn (Dark-Elves), and the Wyr'Læyn (Orc's/Wild-Elves)
She is apart of the human race known as the Atherians. They are known for their White hair, pale skin, and purple eyes. Though their race didn't always have this appearance.
Her Mother was a Scholar who served the Queen directly, and her Father was Queen Azuna Volhiem II's personal bodyguard.
Growing up in the Atherian court, Azalea was always the odd one out. Choosing to adventure around the Hinterland of the Atherian Capital of Yazan, instead of dressing up and partaking in what was expected of her young girl of her station. Though she was friends with some of the sons and daughters of the Lord's and Lady's of court. She preferred the company of the sons and daughters of the common folk. She especially loved climbing trees, but after falling and scraping herself up she became afraid of heights. Though her father told her get back up and try again, her mother told her too "Stay out of that damned Tree"
While her mother taught her of the history of Meridia, and how to control and use her Mana. Her father taught her more practical lessons, like how to make a fire on her own, how to survive out in the wilderness, how to fight with her hands, and how to use a bow.
Archery became one of Azaleas hobbies as a young girl, and she would continue to hone her skills with it as she grew into a young adult.
Though her mother tried dearly to get her daughter to take part in more courtly pursuits, her efforts were in vain. Azalea wanted to explore, see the land and it's people, and experience the different cultures of Meridia. Though her mother was nervous about this, Azalea's Mana abilities were far beyond what her mother expected and she would need a teacher to teach her how to control them, least they kill her.
At the age of 18, Azalea was sent off to the City of Jepsun in the Country of Ardesh. There, she would learn of Ardeshian history and would train under the Mage, Asha Visticar. For a year Azalea studied and trained in Ardesh. Asha was a tough teacher. She constantly harped about control over her abilities and was unyielding when the sparred with mana. Though she was tuff on Azalea during her training and study's, she was also kind to her when they weren't doing either. Asha took her on a tour of the country seeing the Four Capitals of Ardesh. Asha would even take her to the Northern Rainforests of Edenia to visit an old friend, a Fin'Læyn Druid Lord named Toloxepti.
Azalea and her teacher would stay in Edenia for a half a year. During which, she was able to explore ancient Dor'Læyn Ruins, and learn about the Fin'Læyn's history and people.
The following half a year she would go to Southern Edenia with Asha and meet with another of her teachers associates. It was a Dwarven Harbringer name Fafnier Hymdul. The Dwarves were formerly human who were changed by the Blood of Beltizar. The blood changed them, as it changed the Wyr'Læyn of her homeland. Though most Dwarves, like the Orc's, were unable to use Mana, some had the ability too. But unlike the other races of Meridia, they could only use Dark Mana. Fafnier would be Azalea's Dark Mana teacher. Though her race has a natural affinity too and resistance against Dark Mana, Azalea unable to fully control the volatile Mana. Though she wasn't truly upset about this fact. She knew what happened to people who use Dark Mana to often...
After returning to Jepsun with Asha, Azalea trained for another 10 months before Asha told her that her training was completed and that she should be proud of how far she came, and how proud she was to be called her teacher. After leaving Jepsun, Azalea decided that she was going to explore for a year before returning home.
During her time exploring. She became a guest of Malsheik Orin Veracroxe, Ruler of Western Ardesh. He had it in his mind that she would marry his son, Gerrick Veracroxe. Gerrick however loved another and Azalea assured him that she wasn't interested either. During her stay in Royal Palace, she became fast friends with the Veracroxe Children, most of all Jasmine Veracroxe. She learned how to play the Game of Atdeshir (Meridian Chess), and before she left, prevented the assassination of Gerrick. Though the assassin's never revealed who sent them, Orin Veracroxe had his suspicions.
She found a Merchant couple bound for the country of Atmoria and asked if she could ride with them, the didn't mind. They had been riding for a week and were another several weekend from getting there. One night they decided to make camp. When Azalea awoke the next day, her wrists had been tied and the couple were no where to be seen. Their wagon was still there though. That's when she heard strange voices. It was slavers. As they rounded the cart one went to grab for Azalea. She burnt through he restraints though and immediately doused the slaver in flames. His screams brought a dozen others around the cart. As they surrounded her, Azalea fought them the best she could, but she was out numbered. One managed to get close enough to hit her in the guts causing her to fall to the ground. Another kicked her on the side, and yet another one kicked her across the face. Though she was dazed, she was still conscious. She unleashed the full duty her magical ability and summoned a firestorm that engulfed everything around her. After the fire had settled everything around her was charged. No one surivied, not even the horses were fast enough to escape the flames. Due too the amount of Mana she used, Azalea passed out and awoke several hours later, sunburnt and pain. Her pain turned to worry as her attention turned towards finding the couple. It didn't take long for her to find them tough, they were just behind what had been the cart. They were caught in the flames too. She cried out to the sky's above, sickened by what she had done. She sat there for hours sobbing before picking herself up and abandoning her trip to Atmoria. She was going home.
It took her several months to return home, but when she did, she found it a much different place than before. Her father had been killed and her mother imprisoned. Accused of being a traitor to the Kingdom.
The Queen now had an Advisor, a women by the name of Azmara Benheloth. Though she was a half Dark Elf half Atherian, and of the Benheloth Royal bloodline. Azmara assured the Queen she wanted nothing but the Benheloths fall. To won her trust, Azmara had stolen the one object the Atherians haven't laid eyes on in Century's. The Egg of Beltizar. Though the Egg was inert, she assured that she could bring it back to life, along with the Death and they could regain the Atherians lost glory together. When the Queen asked what she would need to do this, Azmara said that she would need the Crystal Skulls that were guarded by the Atherian Scholars. As head Scholar, Azalea's mother had refused to give them to her, citing that Azmara had other plans. When the Queen demanded that she give over the Skulls immediately, Azalea's mother assaulted Azmara and took the Egg from her possession. Azalea's father choose to side with his wife and fought off anyone that was chasing her, bit he was soon overwhelmed and killed. Azalea's mother placed the Egg on the same box as the Skulls and hid them away.
Though her mother was labeled a traitor, she and Azlaea still had friends in court. After getting word to Azalea and sneaking her into the prison, her mother embarrassed her told Azlaea that she needed to get the box she hid and get as far away from Belthaziir as possible. Before she could tell her why or where it's was, the Jailer told Azalea they had too go, the executioner was coming for her mother.
In the city square they prepared her mother to burn for her crime. Her mother spotted Azalea standing in the crowd. She shouted out for her to "Stay out of that damned tree!" It became clear to Azalea where the box was. She looked back to her mother one last time and shouted that she loved her, and set off for the tree. Though she was nervous to climb the tree again, she remembered her fathers word and scampered up the giant oak. Finding the box in hole in the tree, Azalea put it in her satchel. Her head shot up when she heard a bloody curdling scream. Off in the distance she seen the faint glow. The tears burnt began rolled down her face, she screamed like never before. She made a promise to herself that she would have her revenge and took off into the night.
A week or two later, she arrived at Belthaziirs southern most port, Still Water. She's looked for a ship gooing as far away for the Peninsula as possible. She found a merchant ship going as far as the Port of Baydrift in Western Atmoria. She payed for a cabin and secluded herself for the entire trip.
This is where her part in Mortals Folly begins. I'll be telling you about the other main character and more about the world in the coming weeks. I hope you guys enjoyed her back story and if there is anything else you'd like to know about her, please feel free to ask
