A/n: You finally get to see Bri, Austin, and Billy today. Bradley brings over a little surprise for our Leia girl 😘

You and Leia were at your house with Bri, Billy, and Austin. You hadn’t seen them in nearly a week. The last time you had seen all of them was during your engagement/coming home party. You caught up with Bri, telling her briefly about your trip with Bradley. You and Bradley still weren’t sure about a venue yet. You wanted to keep things private until final decisions were made.

“So how does it feel to be engaged?” Bri threw a couple of chocolate-covered pretzels into her mouth.

You grabbed some pretzels from her bowl and bit one in half. “It still hasn’t hit me yet. It’s so surreal.” You ate the other half of the pretzel, “But then I look down at my hand and see the ring and I’m like ‘HOLY FUCK!’”

Bri grabbed your hand and looked at your ring again. “This is his mom’s right?” She was smiling down at it.

You bit your lip as you looked at the ring, “It is and it is so beautiful.” You watched as it sparkled in the light. It was a simple ring. It had a gold band with a circle-cut 2-carat diamond, it was a floating diamond-styled ring with two long stones on either side of the diamond as accents.

Bri brushed her thumb over the ring and looked up at you, “You and his mom definitely have the same taste. It is such a gorgeous ring, girl.” She held your hand tight and squealed. “I am so happy and excited for you, y/n/n!”

The guys came in from the backyard with Leia. “What is all the squealing for?” Billy looked over at you and Bri.

You flashed your ring at Billy, “Because of my ring.” You and Bri squealed again.

Billy came over and grabbed your hand, “Wow, big bird really outdid himself. This is a really nice ring.” He was examining your finger.

“It was actually his mom’s.” You looked at the ring as he looked at it.

He cocked his head back and looked at you with wide eyes, “Oh wow. He really loves you if he gives you his mom’s ring.” He kept looking at the ring, “He has also saved himself a pretty penny. Thanks, momma Bradshaw.”

Bri slapped Billy, “I don't get how you can take anything so sweet and make it shitty.” She rolled her eyes, “You are seriously so annoying.”

Billy laughed and looked over at her and grabbed her chin, “Yea, but you love me.” He kissed her lips and walked away.

“That love is being strung out little by little every day, Billy!” She balled her fist at him and laughed.

Billy was in the pantry, “Whatever you say, honey!”

Austin came over and looked at your ring, “It really is a beautiful ring, y/n.” He set Leia down on the couch next to you. “He’s a lucky man.” He winked at you.

Austin plopped down next to you, “So have anything in mind for the wedding yet?”

You shook your head, “Nothing yet. Just a man to marry.” You slapped his thigh and smiled at him.

“Am I at least invited to go?” He patted your hand on his thigh and raised his brows.

You sat there and put on your best thinking face, “I’ll have to think about it.” You laughed.

“Even if I am not, I may have another way in.” He winked at you and laughed.

You shook your head and squinted your eyes at him, “Oh that, I don’t doubt.” You smiled deviously at him.

He sat back and crossed his arms and mirrored your face.

You heard the front door open and then close. “Who is that?” You looked at Bri and Austin. They shook their heads and shrugged their shoulders. Billy looked around the corner.

“Well if it isn’t the falcon himself.” Bradley emerged from around the corner in his head-to-toe khakis. He reached his hand out to bro hug Bradley. “Oh! A puppy!” Billy ducked down into Bradley’s arms and started to coo.

Bradley started to laugh. Bri turned around quickly almost breaking her neck, “A PUPPY?!” She got up and sprinted over to Bradley.

You looked at Austin confused, “A puppy?” You looked at Leia and she looked at you and Austin with huge eyes, “A PUPPY!!!!” She ran to her dad. She pushed Billy and Bri out of the way. Bradley got down on his knee so his daughter had a better view of the little puppy he held in his arms.

You and Austin stood up as Bradley walked over to you guys with a little blue blanket.

“Hey, Austin.” He smiled and nodded while bumping his elbow into Austin’s arm.

Bradley came over to you and kissed your cheek, “Hey, sweetheart.” You smiled at him and had wide eyes as you looked at his arms.

“Okay, baby girl. Have a seat on the couch. Then you can hold him.”

Leia jumped onto the couch and held her arms out. Bradley sat next to Leia and opened the blue blanket. Inside was a little chocolate merle Aussie doodle. It was so small and its hair curly. It had different variants of brown patches all over its coat and it had a snow-white belly. The puppy looked at Leia and she went doe-eyed. She was petting it and hugging it. “Daddy! It has eyes like mine!” She held the puppy’s head steady and looked into its eyes.

“Who’s dog is that, Bradley?” Austin raised his brows at him.

Bradley looked over to you as he was petting the puppy in Leia’s lap. He smiled, “It’s Leia’s.”

Leia gasped loudly and started to sob. Her voice was shaky and she was sniffling, “Is it really mine?”

“Yes, babydoll. He is yours.” He placed his hand on Leia’s head and kissed her forehead.

“AWH THANK YOU, DADDY!” She yelled out as she started to cry harder. She held the puppy close to her chest and cried into its fur.

Bradley wrapped his arm around Leia and kissed her head, “Don’t cry, my love!” He started to rub her arm as she continued to cry. You sat next to Leia on the opposite side of Bradley and you wrapped your arm around Leia’s head and leaned your cheek onto her temple. You looked over at Bradley, smiled, and shook your head as you helped comfort, Leia.

You scratched her head lightly and kissed her head, “You don’t have to cry, baby. It’s okay!”

She wiped her tears and descended to the floor with her puppy. You scooted over to Bradley and he wrapped his arm around you. You both watched as Leia, Austin, Billy, and Bri played with Leia’s puppy.

“Bradley. A Puppy?” You looked at him with furrowed brows and a smug smile.

He laughed and pulled you closer to him to kiss you, “I promised her that I would get her one, if you said you would marry me, remember?” He tucked your hair behind your ear, “Daddy keeps his promises, baby.” He smiled sweetly at you.

You laid on his shoulder, “Thank you, for doing this.” You rubbed his chest.

He placed his hand on yours and held it, “Of course, baby. Anything for my girls.” He kissed your forehead.

Bri looked at you and Bradley, “Is the puppy staying here? Because I want him.” She smiled big at Bradley.

Bradley chuckled, “He will be anywhere baby girl goes.” Bradley looked at Leia. “Right, sweetheart?”

Leia nodded exaggeratedly. “YES!”

You and Bradley joined the group on the floor. You all sat around in a circle and watched as the puppy cutely ran between everyone. The puppy was hopping around, falling over, rolling around, jumping on everyone, and licking everyone. Bradley held the puppy and gave it a bunch of kisses.

“Any ideas for names, baby girl?”

Leia tapped her lip with her finger. “I like a couple of names, but I don’t know if I can name them that.”

“What names do you have, Leia?” Austin reached over to pet the puppy in Bradley’s arms.

“Well, I kind of like some names. There are a lot.” She made puppy dog eyes at you and Bradley.

“Well, let’s hear some of them, bun.” Billy raised his brows at Leia.

“Well, there is Kylo, like in Star Wars.” She fiddled with her fingers. “Then there is Aero, like flying.” She started to pat her leg, And there is Hornet, like the plane that daddy flies for super cool missions.”

“How did you know that, sweetheart?” Bradley furrowed his brows at Leia.

“Hangman told me you flew a super hornet during the mission.”

Bradley nodded. “Any more names, baby?”

“Well… I also like Peanut.” She flashed everyone her puppy dog eyes. “Maybe we should just have him a call sign party too, daddy! Because I don't know!”

You laughed, “Baby, you can name him whatever you want! He is yours!”

“Yea, sweetheart. There is no rush! It is whatever feels right to you.” Bradley handed the puppy to Leia. “He doesn’t have to have a name right this minute, but when we teach him tricks he has to have one, okay baby?” Bradley rubbed Leia’s hair.

She cuddled the puppy to her face, “Okay, daddy.”

After a couple of more hours of playing with the puppy, you, Bradley, Leia, and the puppy went back to Bradley’s house. When you got there, Bradley went to go clean up and get changed out of his khakis. You and Leia stayed downstairs to play with the puppy.

“Momma, can I play a prank on daddy?” Leia was massaging the puppy’s ears.

“What prank are you going to do to daddy?” You smiled and scratched the puppy's back.

“I am going to tell daddy I want to name my puppy Jake, like Bagman.” She looked up at you and winked.

You laughed and shook your head, “Oh you’re bad, Leia.” You started to poke her side.

She started to giggle. Bradley came down the stairs throwing a shirt over his head, “What’s so funny, my girls?” He ran his hand through his wet hair as it dripped slightly.

“Daddy! I know what I want to name him!” Leia jumped into Bradley’s arms.

He held her against his hip and made a surprised face at her and then at you, “No way, sweetheart! That’s great! What did you decide?” He squeezed her stomach playfully.

Leia wrapped her arms around Bradley’s neck and laid her cheek on his cheek. “Daddy, I wanna name him Jake!”

Bradley’s happy expression was wiped from his face. He furrowed his brows and his mouth gaped. He squinted his eyes and looked side to side, “Jake? What happened to the other names, baby?”

Leia pulled her face from Bradley’s. She had a huge grin on her face, “Well, daddy. I thought about it and thought I should name him after my favorite pilot!”

“Favorite pilot?” Bradley cocked his head back and looked at her confused. “Jake?”

“Yea! Like Bagman!” She threw her arms up in the air and slammed them back down on Bradley’s shoulders. She started to laugh.

Bradley’s eyes went wide, “Oh no. No way.” He looked at Leia sassily with his mouth wide open, “Jake?”

She nodded her head exaggeratedly with a big smile showing all her teeth on display.

“Baby, if that's what you really want… I mean-”

Leia cut him off, “I am kidding, daddy!”

Bradley let out a sigh of relief and rolled his eyes, “Oh thank god. He would never let that go. Another ego trip for him.” Bradley wiped his hand over his face. He looked at Leia with squinted eyes and pushed his lips into a line. “You got me, baby girl. No one tricks daddy without consequences!” He ran Leia over to the couch and body-slammed her gently onto the cushions. He started to rub his wet hair all over her face.

She started to yell for your help as she laughed hard barely being able to catch her breath.

“Momma! Help me!” She was laughing loudly trying to push Bradley off of her.

Bradley laughed and got up off of Leia, “Do you have a real name yet, sweetheart? Or are you still deciding?”

Leia laid on the couch trying to catch her breath, “No I haven’t decided yet, daddy.”

Bradley rubbed her belly and smiled, “That’s okay, baby! You take your time. As long as it’s not Jake.”

Bradley sat on the floor next to you and threw his arm around your shoulder. He started to pet the puppy in your lap. He was smiling at the puppy as it started to fall asleep against your thigh. He looked up at you and kissed your cheek. Leia came over and laid on Bradley’s lap. She put her hand on the puppy’s back and started to pet him with Bradley.

“Daddy, he is so soft.” She looked up and smiled at you and Bradley.

Bradley leaned down and kissed Leia’s head, “He is, baby. Is he going to sleep in the bed with you tonight?”

Leia’s eyes lit up, “Can he?”

Bradley steadied himself with one of his arms behind him and he played with Leia’s hair, “Of course he can, sweetheart. You just have to make sure that you wake up early tomorrow so he can go outside and potty.”

Leia nodded at Bradley. “Can we go and get him some toys tomorrow?”

Bradley looked at you, “You wanna go out and get the puppy some stuff tomorrow with us?”

You frowned, “I want to, but I have some meetings tomorrow for the project that’s going to start next week.”

“That’s okay, baby. Maybe during your break you can give us a call and you can see what we are getting the little pup.” He kissed your cheek, “I’ll miss you, baby.”

You smiled and rubbed his cheek, “I’ll miss all three of you. Little Jake more.” You squinted at Bradley and chuckled. He huffed and rolled his eyes. Leia started laughing and put her hand up to give you a high-five.

Later that night, you and Bradley put Leia and the puppy to bed. After you closed the door to Bradley’s room, Bradley swooped you up and ran you across the hall to the spare room. He threw you on the bed and jumped on top of you. He started to pepper your face in kisses. You laid there smiling and holding his cheeks as he kissed you.

He hummed in between kisses. He laid next to you and pulled up the covers. “Come here, baby girl. I want to hold you.” You jumped into the sheets with Bradley and snuggled into his chest.

“I haven’t changed for bed yet, Bradley.”

He pulled you closer to him, “I don’t care, baby. They’re going to come off anyways.” He chuckled against you forehead.

He wrapped his arm around you and scratched you head. “I want to stay like this forever, Brad.”

“We can, baby. Everyday we can do this. Get some sleep. I’ll be here when you wake up.” He kissed the top of your head and you fell asleep in his embrace.

Bradley’s POV

The next morning I woke up and you were still sleeping. I got up and tucked you in. I placed a kiss on your cheek and left the room. I went over to my room to get the puppy. When I opened the door, Leia was sprawled out and faced down in the bad. The puppy popped up from the sheets and looked at me with his sad puppy eyes. Sign of he was probably going to poop the bed. I went over and grabbed the puppy to bring him outside to use the bathroom.

I threw on a hoodie and some slippers, then went down stairs. The early mornings in San Diego were cold. Especially since my house is by the water. The sun was starting to peak over my fence line. I opened the sliding door to the backyard and set the puppy down onto the deck. The puppy ran off of the deck and went to use the bathroom in the grass. I ran around with him for a little bit before I brought him back inside.

I let the puppy roam around the kitchen as I prepared some tea for you. After I made your tea, I packed you some lunch. As I packed your lunch I fed the puppy some table scraps. I went up to the room and placed the puppy on the bed. It hopped over to you and started to lick your face. You started to stir and giggle. You opened your eyes and started to pet the puppy.

“Hey boy!” You cuddled and scratched the puppy’s head. You looked over at me and smiled, “Good morning, handsome.”

I walked over and sat on the side of the bed besides you, “Good morning, sweetheart.” I kissed your head and placed your tea in the bed side table. “I brought you some tea.”

You sat up and grabbed the tea and took a sip. “Thank you, Bradley.” You kissed my cheek.

I picked up the puppy and gave you a kiss. “You’re welcome, beautiful. Get ready for work. I’ll be downstairs.” I gave you one more kiss before leaving the room.

After sometime you finally came downstairs. I gave you your lunch and one more kiss before you headed out. I went up stairs to get Leia up and ready. I went into my room and she was still fast asleep. I slowly peeled the sheets back and picked up Leia. She draped her arms over my shoulders. I held her to my chest and gave her a few light kisses.

“Hey, Vapor girl. It’s time to get up.” She groaned and stirred around in my arms. I brought her into the bathroom and rubbed her back as I warmed up the sink water.

She got up and rubbed her eyes. She blinked over and over again to wet her eyes. She looked at me and pouted, “Daddy, it’s too early!” She started to whine and slapped her hands onto her thighs.

I laughed and placed her on the floor in front of me. “We have to get ready for the day! Up and at ‘em, Vapor!” I grabbed some watched and splashed it on her face playfully.

She gasped, “Daddy!” She started to wipe the water from her face.

I looked at her in the mirror and laughed. I grabbed more water and did it again. She looked at me annoyed and wiped her face again. “Come on, baby. Time to get up!” I splashed her one more time. She started to laugh. She cupped her hands under the water. She filled her hands, “Oh, sweetheart that’s a lot of…” She threw her hands back and over her head. The water came up and got all over me.

She looked at me in the mirror and laughed, “WAKE UP, DADDY!”

We laughed together and wiped our faces.
