Hydra’s Toy
The Asset barely had enough time to register the situation before Rollins had him by the hair. Pulling the Asset forward into the room, Rollins smashed his face on the edge of table, repeatedly until blood caked the floor. The other men laughed in amusement as the Asset’s legs gave out, collapsing on the floor.
“Pathetic.” Rumlow laughed before kicking the Asset hard in the ribs.
The Asset coughed blood and hoped this was what would finally kill him. But of course, as if he knew what was happening, Director Pierce slammed open the door.
“You fucking idiots!” Pierce yelled, taking in the scene in front of him. “The Asset was to be deployed half an hour ago, what the fuck have you done?”
The Asset was now almost unconscious on the floor, head throbbing in pain. There was no way he could stand to even walk to the hanger.
“He’ll be fine, Sir.” Rollins coughed, straightening his posture where he stood, in some feigned attempt of confidence.
Pierce took another step towards the men and punched Rollins in the face, sending him flying flat to the floor, on his ass.
The other men fell silent.
“What he meant to say, Sir, is that Agent Rollins took his punishment of the Asset too far, and that he would ensure a quick recovery.” Rumlow said in a well spoken manner.
“Unacceptable! The mission will now be delayed as a result of your antics.” Pierce spat in fury. “Have the Asset sent to medical then inform me the second he is suitable for discharge.”
Rumlow nodded. “Yes sir.” The fucking suck up

Captain Hydra and the Winter Soldier, Chapter 17
Hi guys, just a quick snippet from the latest chapter, you can read the full story at BuckysHydraArm on Ao3. TW: Graphic Violence, poison.
As if he had fallen back asleep and woken up in a nightmare, the Asset was kneeling on the cold concrete floor below Rumlow and Rollins who had forced him to drink what he later found to be poison.
With a feeling of hot ash down his throat, coursing fire in the pit of stomach and a throbbing pain in every fibre of his body, the Asset was unable to stop the spasms that followed.
“Get the fuck up.” Rollins spat, kicking the Asset square in his chest.
“I think we fucked up.” Rumlow muttered and called through the radio for the medic team to take the Asset for treatment. The Asset had turned red and looked like he might go into cardiac arrest, shaking and clawing at his neck.
The Asset felt like his eyes were crusting over, now impossible to blink. He could barely see and was choking, blood spitting up over his front.
“You better not fuckin die.” Rollins scolded and grabbed the Asset by his vest.
“Enough.” Rumlow growled, pulling Rollins back, telling him to let go.
Within seconds the medics had arrived and wheeled the Asset away for treatment. Somehow he lived. The Asset wished he hadn’t.

“Where are the flying cars, Stark?” Bucky asked, seemingly out of nowhere.
The group were sat around the table enjoying lunch together when Bucky randomly spoke. He had been living in Stark Tower for around four months and had only just started talking properly to the other Avengers. Bucky lived in one of the upstairs apartments with Steve, and usually spoke to Steve only.
“What?” Tony asked, stuffing a bagel into his mouth.
“The flying cars.” Bucky repeated, now looking up at Tony but still avoiding direct eye contact. “Howard said there’d be flying cars.”
