It's surprisingly unknown that doves and rock pigeons are the same animal! Clan cats recognize these as the same species, doves are just a white rock pigeon.

You could say, to Clan cats, they see no difference...... dove is dove

Notably though a white rock pigeon would be less beautiful to Clan cats than the gorgeous, rainbow-necked standard color. The word for pigeon they're usually using is Huwoohoo, referencing a wood pigeon

(The bird that gives me echolalia almost as bad as morning doves. Btw if they did have morning doves they would call it a Hoowu)

The mushroom fortune-teller and the bratty porcelain doll have never met, but they are connected..! somehow...! Oscar has a kinda-sister, but they don't get along very well. They were made by the same guy, but Oscar was intended to be a person, and his sister is a soulless doll-servant prototype. With time she managed to grow herself a personality, somehow. She is a sweet girl who has insane luck and who hates Oscar with passion. They were created for an emoji challenge (👁🍄🔮, 🎎🎭🎬 and 🥞☀🍀 respectively)

Do you know all these tumblr posts that treat fungi as eldrich horrors they are? Thats Sieni and Yole relationships basically. She would bully the girl so bad, given the chance.

I usually put a lot of effort in character's names (read: I stare at names and their meaning for like an hour) but it wasn't a case with Sieny, she isn't a human so why would she have a human name? so I've translated something like "mushroom family" into Finnish.

Speaking of names, Yole's own has an interesting history to it. It should be written as iole, but in tumblr font there is no difference between capital i and small L, I hated it. Imagine naming your imaginary child Iol. Yole's full name is Yolana actually, it's a mix of name Iolanta and Iola from Witcher. I just really liked her name. It's nice. Iolanta means 'purple flower' and Yole used to have a lot of henbane (it has purple flowers) symbolism in her. She was meant to be both deadly poison and lifesaving medicine. Yole still has a ribbon with a purple flower on her brimhat, but it has lost all meaning, unfortunately. Her last name despite meaning 'cute, sweet' sounds similar to the way henbane is in my language (belena - balemila). She has her mother's last name, and not father's because Yole used to follow her footsteps as a poison-maker. Oh, she still does, but as a witch and a menace to society. Vedana means 'knowledgeable', 'all-knowing', Damian means 'conqueror'. Mara's name is short for Morana/Marena, Slavic goddess of winter, death and changing of seasons (from winter to spring, returning to life). Mara is meant to be a formidable and intimidating warrior who has slain countless demons... but she's been through a lot, girl's just tired at this point.

and speaking of gods....

you can have two deities. as s treat. Fire Goddess and a Star Clad in Armor. I've already said a lot about them, and now I'm lazy. They are besties btw.

She/they.

they come from a family who where sailors and they would often take her with her on the trips. This helped grow their love for the sea. It let her grow her talent of navigating the world using the stars and compiss. (neither work in the nether that well). When there was nothing to be done in the ship her mother often braided her hair in extravagant ways. You will often find them beading their friends hair as a love language or their own unknowingly.

she became a shadow Knight when one night the crew was attacked by shadow knights in an attempt to take back something valuable. (Idk yet). her father fought the best he could but was eventually thrown overbored and drowned. The brother watched also fighting as she cowered and hid. If they helped their father the father would still be alive to this day. The brother hates the his sibling for what they didn't manage to do. But she also died and was taken by the Shadow Knight's .

in the nether they met this nice young fellow and became friends with him (he's an OC I just have no idea what he looks like or anything). she ran away but this other girl ( btw the girl kins Ivrypool from warrior cats not the recent books tho havent read them) Also a shadow Knight and they are gay for each other.

they look a lot different and once while going back to her ship they caught their brother telling and warning her about these terrible creatures of red eyes and fury. It was brought up because he mentioned that they looked a lot like his sibling. he the goes on to say that he thinks that his sibling might be a shadow knight. This of course gets her interest. he then asks her to make her a promise and then she agrees. The brother tells them, out of pity for his sibling and rage that she betrayed them , that if they ever come across them to kill them.

I would do more but I'm too tired. Sorry for any tipos. If y'all have any asks about this character I will honestly go rabid (in a good way,) I don't even know how to see if I got any asks tho lmao...

Corrupted Tzen armor - 3D Model

Hi, It has been a while, once again! Sometimes, I am not sure what to share on Tumblr. I will try to keep sharing about my 3D journey. The next episode of Untold Tale of Pandaria (Pandaria Monogatari) is running well. The progress has been a bit slower than expected because of the sleeves that are custom and a nightmare to animate.

Talking about "nightmare", we finally arrived at That part that I wanted to give a try for a long time: a short horrific Japanese ghost movie! I am a huge fan of the Fatal Frame game series, and I also really enjoy the tones of Asian ghost stories and movies.

(Note: This gif features a yokai, not a yurei or an onryo. But it is the less scary I found) In the machinima, I feel like I have the unique opportunity to play around with this! The whole scene in this Kaiki eiga style will be released apart to not scare the audience. Also, from the lesson learned from the prologue, I need to avoid multiple intrigues, to keep the narrative flow clear enough. So we will briefly see ghosts (many more elaborated and diverse models than below), and see later whom they torment and how they proceed.

This long digression being done... Let's talk about the new model I made and its lore! (Finally) I have had the draft idea of this armor for a long time! In the lore of the machinima, the Tzen armor is a centuries-old artifact of the eponymous clan. It is thought to have been partly destroyed, just like most of the belongings of the disposed clan. The last warrior thought to have owned and worn the armor was Tho's father. Although Mei-Phang claimed that they saw it, altered but complete, in Tho's bedroom, during their teenage years (so about a decade after the execution of all the Tzen patriarchs). The armor is considered an artifact because it changes with the owner's will and absorbs the chi around, accordingly. The Tzen identified themselves with the Mountains of the South that can bring prosperity or devastation. The armor thus "embodies" that ambivalence.

In the prologue, we could foresee that Tho chose a path of destruction, realizing way too late the disaster he'd caused.

But this had consequences. And notably on the Tzen armor. In the "Notes about the Untold Tale" (written by one of my lorewalker OC, Wen-Long) states that the Tzen armor got corrupted with so much bad chi that it started wandering by night, more likely seeking for revenge. Older Mei-Phang would have to relocate their students, when the armor started causing a big safety concern. Yet, the armor never attacked Mei directly, unless they wear the official kimono of the Zhu clan.

The customization work on this armor was pretty simple and straightforward. I started from an existing Huojin sentinel model that I rediscovered while playing (Han-zhu) on the PTR. (On the screenshot, you can see a hint regarding one of Han-zhu's first names, btw... :D).

The original mesh of the model had few refinements to attenuate the plate-looking style. I then worked on the main additions: -add a wakidate on the kabuto (helmet) -refine the sode (shoulder pads) - add a kusazuri and a haidate (lower part) These additions were very simple but they gave a nice silhouette. I improved my retopology and seam marking, so the work on the kusazuri/haidate was much less painful than on Han-zhu's samurai armor in the prologue! The main work on this armor was the texturing that was almost completely remade from scratch. First I wanted Tho's eyes to be visible beyond the menpo (mask), but it looked like he was squinting, like, way too much! And it really messed up the frightening aura of the armor! XD

So I decided to keep the eyes red-glowing and add Tho's "emblematic" red scarf, instead.

10 Popular Transformers Fanfiction Tropes/Ships That I Don’t Like (And Here’s Why)

Disclaimer: If you enjoy these? Fine. If you don’t like these? Also fine. You’re entitled to your opinion, and I’m entitled to mine.

1) Human x Cybertronain parings. 

Now, I wanna say that it’s not the pairing in itself, there can be relationships without physical intimacy, and that’s fine. If they’re presented as only having content with each other, and not needing physical intimacy, I’d readily accept that. However, a lot of times, I’ll see stories where a human and a Cybertronain manage to conceive a child, and it annoys me because (not only is there a huge size difference) it also shouldn’t be biologically possible, and yet, it always happens, and there isn’t ever a really GOOD explanation, if there’s one at all.

2) Major OC inserts.

This is gonna get me some hate, but I’ve never been a fan of OCs in general, especially in a franchise that has as many characters as Transformers does. A lot of times, the OCs are completely overpowered, and they HAVE to be the child of someone important, whom everyone is after, or they’re a secret Prime, or a great warrior, or, they’re a plain human (but really techno-organic) who suddenly finds out of their Cybertronian heritage. I come to fanfiction to read about the characters I know, and I find it hard to really care about any OCs because I don’t know them before hand, and why should I take the time to learn? This isn’t an attack on ALL OCs, but I think they’re best in small doses on the sidelines, while the main fic primarily focuses on someone else.

3) x reader stories.

Now, there are a lot of these (especially on wattpad) and I dislike them for a lot of the same reasons I dislike the previous 2, I just, don’t care. It doesn’t feel real to me, and you get stories titled “Transformers One-Shots” and I think it’s gonna be a good story, but I go to the chapter index and all I see is “Optimus x Yandere!reader” “Megatron x Mute!reader” “Soundwave x Demon!reader” and it annoys me, because I came looking for Transformers one-shots, and I got this...

4) Human centric stories.

I am but a simple fan. I’m here to read about the giant metal robots. I would like to read about the giant metal robots. Sam Witwicky is one of the most common characters to be a main human protagonist (Usually with powers granted to him by the AllSpark) and I just don’t like him. It bugs me, and I get they’re trying to give more love to the human characters, but the humans only ever truly work as a supporting cast in Transformers, and putting them in the spotlight kinda annoys me.

5) Unnecessary gender swaps

This one has always bugged me because you’ll get great summaries like “With the Autobots running low on moral and supplies, tension is high. Megatron has been missing for months, and the Decepticons have gone silent. When the  battered and injured Warlord of the Decepticons stumbles to the Ark with no memories, a sinister plot is uncovered” and then it’s like “oh, btw, fem!Megatron” and it seems SO unnecessary, and I have to ask what the point of the sex change is. And usually, ANY sex change is accompanied by a pairing with someone formally of the same gender, like “Fem!Megatron x Optimus” or vice versa, and it kinda ticks me off.

6) Unnecessary new sibling/twin character

This kinda falls in line with OCs, but it’s a category of it’s own. Authors introduce new sibling characters (usually with VERY similar names) and then the story focuses on them, like “Samantha Witwicky, twin sister of Sam Witwicky”. Most people seem to paint it as a “what if (insert character had a sibling) but the sibling is so prominent in the story, it’s kinda clear it’s just another OC in a shiny new paint job. Typically, these characters are also very Mary Sue-like.

7) Megatron x Starscream

This may be because I’m a big MegOP fan (Even though I can actually picture Optimus with more characters than Megatron) but I’ve never been a huge fan of this pairing, at least, in any way other than a VERY casual fling. I can’t see Megatron tolerating Starscream enough to actually frag him.

8) Shockwave x anyone (post-shadowplay)

His whole shtick is that he’s logical, cold and emotionless. He would never care for anyone, regardless of circumstance even in the continuities where Shadowplay wasn’t a thing yet. I find it so aggravating when I see “Shockwave grows to care for this new recruit” or something along those lines, because he doesn’t care about love or romance. Dare I say it, but it’s illogical to pair him with anyone.

9) Optimus Prime x Bumblebee

I shouldn’t have to say much, but I feel like they work more with a family dynamic than with any sort of romance dynamic.

10) Megatron or Optimus (or any other popular character) x characters they have no history/chemistry with and only spoke to like once

So, this happens a lot, and it’s always just, lackluster, because in the shows, usually, the characters have never never even spoken to each other alone, and at best have spoken on the other’s presence. Like, I’ve seen quite a bit of TFP Megatron x Arcee, but they’ve never really interacted in the show much at all. I don’t even think Megatron has ever spoken Arcee’s name. Another ship I’ve seen that does this is Optimus x Grimlock (which I put in the same category as Megatron x Starscream). It’s just unbelievable these two would ever actually frag, and it pulls me out when it tries to be serious.

No, crack ships and stories do not count, those are actually fun, as they don’t take themselves too seriously, and, generally speaking, do tell a nice and entertaining story.

2. Does your OC have a signature weapon they use? How did they get it? Does it have a name?

He doesn't have a weapon he considers special in any personal way, but he does highly value the two swords he fights with and the status they represent. Strong, well made weapons smithed by a professional specifically to suit his fighting style. It's a kind of luxury he never could've dreamed of before becoming the Commander. He takes immensely good care of those swords

6. Who taught your OC to fight?

His original underhanded fighting style was taught primarily to him by the leader of the bandit camp he grew up in, who went by the title of Boss or Sir and never gave Matthias an alternative.

His more recognizable fighting styles these days as a warrior were honed and trained up within the Vigil, initially as a recruit by Forgal but refined when he caught Logan's attention with how quickly he rose through the ranks.

13. Does your OC prefer fighting by themself or with others? Who’s their favorite person to fight with?

Usually he's a train-alone sort of guy. He's nice enough and will accept requests to spar, and in the field he's usually about the same...

And then he got paired up for the job of Commander with Aildyn. Who at first he wanted nothing to do with, but the two both couldn't deny that they needed to at least get along when out in the thick of it or they'd both be fucked. But given enough time where you have to trust someone, and add on that the two of you fight so often off the field too that you know each others moves better than anyone else ever could and, well. There's an intimate trust and fluidity the two have when fighting side by side that's gorgeously deadly to watch. And though Matthias would deny it up and down, he sure looks like he's more confident in a successful outcome when he's got Aildyn there too.

anyways his name is Stealthfur, i made him when i was 9?? 10?? years old and he had a best friend (met when they were kittens/apprentices) but his best friend was basically better than him in Every Way (hunting, fighting, all that jazz)

so he gets jealous, his best friend becomes deputy and he's like. What The Fuck I Should Be Leader and attempts to kill his best friend. idk if he succeeded but yea. probably trains in the dark forest too

AGAIN! This time I got tagged by @prayforelves (follow her btw, she’s amazing)

This character hasn’t had a proper introduction yet, but his name is Ginga. (i’ll make a moodboard and intro for him soon i swear)

1. What was the first element of your OC that you remember considering (name, appearance, backstory, etc)?

Ginga is the Chief of the Wolfkins so I dug through my brain a lot for some sort of answer. When I look back now, i think the image of Pocohantas’ dad kept coming up so... I went with that. But also someone extremely overprotective. He gets that way with Yoko, since she’s oh so perfect. Plus: WHITE WOLF CUZ THEY ARE AWESOME and super cliched now ;w;

2. Did you create them with any other characters/OCs from their universe in mind?

Not really. I think I was still on the anime/ mystical white wolf train at the time.

3. How did you choose their name?

Ginga Densetsu Weed...Ginga means silver....White wolf... HYPE

4. In developing their backstory, what elements of their world they live in played the most influential parts?

Ok, rewind. Actually the precanon is fairly new to be honest. About 4-5 years I made it. With this i got to play with the wolfkin culture a lot and historical things as well.

Luckily, I can’t say. His life kinda sucks haha.

No? Maybe being a slight doormat with the important people in his life.

10. Did you know what the OC’s sexuality would be at the time of their creation?

Absolutely not! But recently, I found out he was gay for his best friend. But back then, nope.

11. What have you found to be most difficult about creating art for your OC (any form of art, writing, drawing, edits, etc)?

His clothing... oh my god. How does someone make clothes for a chief of a warrior race of people, but he himself is on the regal side. It’s sooo annoying i swear.

12. How far past the canon events that take place in their world have you extended their story, if at all?

Sadly, not with this minor character ;w;

13. If you had to narrow it down to 2 things that you MUST keep in mind while working with your OC, what would those things be?

1) He is very very tired

2) Cares more for his people than others.

14. What is something about your OC that can make you laugh?

Even though he tries to keep an fancy image, the second you mention his wife, he crumbles.

15. What is something about your OC that can make you cry?

His whole backstory. I think thats why my friends like him. His father was killed by his grandfather, his people become under his grandfathers influence and just ignored everything as if nothing happened, so Ginga grew up psychologically isolated, unable to trust anyone. Until he got his revenge that is.

16. Is there some element you regret adding to your OC or their story?

Ehhh... can’t think of anything

BISEXUAL WOOF

18. What is your favourite fact about your OC?

That my friends like him? Lol I don’t know. I feel bad that I can’t find anything nice to say about this minor character. Well... I do like beautiful brotherhood he shares with Jai. (a lot more wholesome than Nobou and Kabuto)

Enara (Hey btw I headcanon that in Elvhenan people did not have last names) 

A4.  what things are they bad at?

This is such a hard question - so far I mostly see Enara through Solas, as he looks back, somewhat romantically. Of course there is nothing she is bad at ;). 

I would say she is bad and hindsight and reflection. She keeps moving. She sometimes doesn’t stop and think. She also gets bored, she has a hard time truly mastering something - as in devoting oneself solely to one thing (relative, because of the extended lifespan)

B4. how old are they?

Ah! You got me. My headcanon around Ancient elves and age are…fuzzy. They do have some form of immortality, or very long lifespans, but I am not sure how long or how it works, other than a vague idea of more magic meaning longer lives, and that you can somehow control your aging - as in if you feel middle aged you look middle aged? (Because immortality meaning eternal youth is somehow not interesting to me). I think Enara still was, and felt young when she died, but she might have a technical age of a few hundred years. 

Y2. what inspired you to create them?

I always liked the idea of Solas having family. Of having something, even far in the past, that tied him to humanity (elfity? you know what I mean). To make him less ‘other’.

I was thinking about how Solas carries around his jawbone necklace, and wondering why. He seems to dislike his Dread Wolf persona, saying it is a tool. I personally think he prefers to be Solas, not Fen’Harel. No matter, he is trying to stay hidden, yet he can’t let go of the jawbone. why? I thought about where the name Fen’Harel comes from, and who made him use it as good thing. 

I also have a few headcanons about the wars and general Solas talks about in Trespasser - I think many battles occurred before the Creators came to power, and that Solas didn’t start out serving Mythal, for instance.

All this came together - what if Solas had a sister? What if both of them shape shifted into wolves? What if both of them were part of a group of powerful people and both led armies. They had nicknames, the White Wolf and the Dread Wolf (because Enara is personable than Solas ;) ). 

And because the idea is, in it’s essence, a mythical, high fantasy origin story, I thought up an idea where Enara perished on the battlefield, and in her last words she implored Solas to use the ‘Dread Wolf’ title and keep being part of the political life. And the jawbone is hers, and she gave it to him in that moment. 

So she basically sprung from the dual idea of something to tie Solas to real life, and the ‘quest giver’ origin. And throwing in some angst and suffering, because, well, Solas strikes me as a person who has a tragic past.

A4. what things are they bad at?

Expressing her feelings. She tends to hide them inside of her. Asking for help too, she wants to just take care of things herself. 

B4. how old are they?

20 at the start of the inquisition. 

Y2. what inspired you to create them?

I had a little giveaway, and the winner didn’t want something with a pre-existing character, but had some options for new ones. They gave me some starting points and input, and I ran with it. Not only was it nice to have a female warrior Lavellan, it was fun to create someone who was quite different from Iwyn.

So i have made pirate Shadow Knight OC's. Leme introduce you to them.

They are a bunch of dumbasses who barely get any stuff done. I love all of them. Yet I have no names for them. Any recommendations welcome

Age: like 24 or something hell if they know

She/they.

they come from a family who where sailors and they would often take her with her on the trips. This helped grow their love for the sea. It let her grow her talent of navigating the world using the stars and compiss. (neither work in the nether that well). When there was nothing to be done in the ship her mother often braided her hair in extravagant ways. You will often find them beading their friends hair as a love language or their own unknowingly.

she became a shadow Knight when one night the crew was attacked by shadow knights in an attempt to take back something valuable. (Idk yet). her father fought the best he could but was eventually thrown overbored and drowned. The brother watched also fighting as she cowered and hid. If they helped their father the father would still be alive to this day. The brother hates the his sibling for what they didn't manage to do. But she also died and was taken by the Shadow Knight's .

in the nether they met this nice young fellow and became friends with him (he's an OC I just have no idea what he looks like or anything). she ran away but this other girl ( btw the girl kins Ivrypool from warrior cats not the recent books tho havent read them) Also a shadow Knight and they are gay for each other.

they look a lot different and once while going back to her ship they caught their brother telling and warning her about these terrible creatures of red eyes and fury. It was brought up because he mentioned that they looked a lot like his sibling. he the goes on to say that he think she might be a shadow knight. This of course gets her interest. he then asks her to make her a promise and then she agrees. The brother tells them, out of pity for his sibling and rage, that if they ever come across them be aware and to kill them.

I would do more but I'm too tired. Sorry for any tipos. If y'all have any asks about this character I will honestly go rabid (in a good way,) I don't even know how to see if I got any asks tho lmao...

I have an OC names wolfpaw!! He’s a black tabby mamas boy with two moms who’s mute. I can’t choose between Wolfnose and Wolfwing for his warrior name, which do you think sounds better?

my mind immediately went to Wolfsong despite that fact that he’s mute. Idk it sounded nice.

but if you’re set on those two id go with wolfwing.
