Brian Rochefort

Another that likes to expose "Earths Natural Beauty" Rochefort employs the use of Earthenware clay to create just as colourful glazed pieces with varied textures and forms that become pieces of natural beauties in themselves. His selected palette with textures is instantly reminiscent on a decaying surface. however never in the repulsive sense, but one of a generous, colourful optical pleasure.

After researching the artist I wanted to attempt a sample using materials appearing similar to his works. Using one of the China burnouts as my base to mimic a decayed surface.

It came up with a result I felt was accurate to what I was experimenting for, it looked very deteriorating. my only criticism I have for myself was wishing I had chosen brighter colours that occurrs in surface corrosion but still as a sample it would suffice.
