— pairing: griff x female ! reader .
— fluff, just griff being whipped for you .
synopsis : griff loves you so much it’s hard for him to hide it, even though he tries hard. colette and edgar don’t help him either, even though the young boy doesn’t really care about it. little does griff knows that his feelings aren’t one-sided .
— for : @/lady-annebelle .
✰ — ONCE GRIFF UNDERSTANDS that his feelings for you are usually called ‘love’ it’s over for him. he only hopes to see you everyday, to talk to him, to spend your time with him. he even forgets about his obsession for money, there’s only you on his mind, no more dollars, no more golden coins. this situation is so new to him the poor man doesn’t know what to do, but he doesn’t think about asking his coworkers as he knows it would make the situation worse. he just wishes it wasn’t so hard to express love.
✮ — ONESHOT !
griff was busy counting the numerous coins that filled the cash desk of his shop. he payed attention to them as if they were his children, and in some way, he treated them like babies. he was so caught up in an endless counting that he didn’t hear someone making her way into the graceful shop.
“good evening.” a feminine voice said. griff stopped dead in his activity, recognizing the voice. he couldn’t bring himself to look up to the girl who was now standing in front of him, the embarrassment clearly taking over him as if he was a teenager again.
“griff, are you okay?” you asked, worry lingering in your tone. hearing your worried voice didn’t help him even a little, in fact it only worsened the situation leading him into being a stuttering and blushing mess. “i-i’m okay!” he said, trying to push you away, but instead he pushed aside the jar full of his beloved golden coins, now spilled all over the floor. you truly had him wrapped around your fingers, contrary to everyone else’s belief. “i’m sorry, griff! i didn’t mean to.” the poor man was fumbling from his ear, he constantly repeated you to not apologize and that it was okay.
you crouched down to your feet, helping him picking and storing the coins back into the jar. once you were almost done, griff focused his gaze on you, meeting your eyes, he blurted out something all of a sudden, but you managed to catch what he wanted to say. “it would be nice meeting you outside my shop.” to which you nodded, thinking the same. even if it was an ambiguous phrase, you knew he meant he wanted to take you out, on a date maybe.
