Bobbi had done more than just considering leaving SHIELD before, she’d actually gone off on her solo adventures. A little vigilante, making her mark. But she was always drawn back to the organisation. It wasn’t just that she liked being a team player (because in truth, a lot of the teammates she’d had in the past were incredibly difficult to work with), and it wasn’t the health care benefits (either non-existent or totally sucked). Being a member of an organisation or team opened up new routes of intelligence, the funds for equipment, and usually the promise of back-up.

Still, did the back-up have to be Logan?

“You still just smell of nothing but beer and smoke. Do you never use the gift care packages I send at Christmas?” (She’d actually sent a lot of people smelly-stuff gifts over the years, but no one ever seemed to get the hint. And Bobbi guessed there were a lot of times out on missions when she kind of stank too)

The blonde gave a soft sigh, before shrugging and giving a grin. She used to working with what she had. And truthfully? Logan wasn’t such a bad person to work with. She’d worked with a lot worse than him before. (was she counting her ex-husband amongst that lot? yeah probably. he was on both good and bad lists, for better or worse after all) Her eyes ran over him carefully, considering the options she had now. “So, have you actually been drafted by SHIELD or are you here of your own accord?” Mockingbird was fine with joining forces but they didn’t always have the same style of tracking down information. She’d not been on the trail of Taskmaster for long, but the sooner this was sorted the better. He’d been SILENT for some time, whether by his own choice or because someone had chased him away and caused him to need to recuperate and regroup. But he was back with a vengeance it seemed. Couple of SHIELD agents taken out, other people too. Bobbi always got the fun tasks.

The warehouse was abandoned now. But only because she’d cleared out a bunch of goons moments before. No sign of Taskmaster though. Rude of him to be taking up so much of her time and effort. And woe be him if he was also pissing off mutants, too. Bobbi wasn’t certain whether to be worried or not for Logan to have turned up. Hardly a great sign for him to get involved. …good thing she liked a bit of excitement in her life.

This is a sideblog, and I follow back from my main @grimmusings. Please direct IMs there, since it's easier for me to keep all my messages on one blog. All details vary based on verse, but in general I follow Earth-616 comics for Clint, set generally around the Matt Fraction timeline. I can work in pieces of the MCU timeline for him as needed, but I do not include his secret family subplot.

[ OPEN STARTER.]

Janet had rendered Bobbi useless for the day. Her entire body aches and all she had in her mind was go home, prepare herself a nice hot bath, some chardonnay and just lay there. Hopefully a nap would be in place. Whoever said that modeling some clothes for a friend was the easiest thing in the world hasn’t met Janet Van Dyne. She would’ve much preferred being in some undercover assignment but Bobbi hasn’t had one of those for a while. Mainly because she had decided to help her friend out with Nadia and the girls.

Honestly? She enjoys it, more than she thought she would. Still, sometimes Bobbi misses being in the field but now that she had partially retired and now dedicated herself to her field as a biochemist, the mockingbird feels a sense of accomplishment she hasn’t had before. It also leaves her with time to have an actual life. Though that last part is harder than she first anticipated. At first her thoughts went to trying to reconnect with her mother and brother but it felt unfair to uproot their lives like that after years of thinking her dead and there’s also her father who is still running around with HYDRA and she wants to prevent her family to go through more misfortune. So she keeps her life as it is, and makes the most of it.

And right now? All she wanted was to relax but of course easier said than done. After a quick trip to the supermarket, Bobbi returned to her car only to be met with the surprise it wouldn’t turn on. “Great.” She muttered to herself as popped open the hood. Looking around the motor, Bobbi tilted her head. “How is it I know the entire periodic table but can’t fix a car problem.” Taking out her phone from her back pocket, she got ready to call for help when a voice captured her attention.

“You need help?” They said, and Bobbi stopped herself from hitting send to look at the stranger.

“That would be appreciated.” The blonde replied back, stepping to the side so they could look at the motor.

Ahead of the OOC plot chat taking place at the end of the week, we have a number of options for planned events revolving around the Hart Island Facility. We would like to discuss these with all our players to boost character involvement. After the chat, we will be facilitating players to sign-up for the options of their choice.

PRELUDE: PRISON INVESTIGATION

“ Steve Rogers assists Sharon Carter in investigating the Hart Island Prison. Meanwhile, an unlikely duo mounts their own investigation. ”

Word begins to leak of the unethical experiments being conducted behind closed doors at Hart Island. Whether it's through hacked footage, trails of material evidence, or through the personal accounts of escaped victims, the hidden horrors of the prison slowly begin to unravel. This is steadily shared throughout vigilante networks, creating momentum for the inevitable watershed moment that breaks prison doors wide open.

1: SABOTAGE

Inciting the chaos that leads directly into the prison breakout, small teams of motivated individuals have taken it upon themselves to wreak havoc on Hart Island's defenses by way of destroying surveillance equipment, security installations and structural obstacles. A number of targets will be designated in post-form from the main blog, from which characters can choose to tackle alongside a thread partner.

» This event option would suit: characters well-versed in technology and/or with fair destructive capability; this event option takes place simultaneously as the infiltration/rescue and offensive events

2: INFILTRATION & RESCUE

“ With the information gathered from the investigation, involved parties work to break into the Hart Island Facility and free those held within its walls. ”

Securing an entry point to the compound will be critical, and will entail a stealth-oriented approach in which characters infiltrate the facility by way of disguise, vent-access, or other means of quiet evasion. From inside, these individuals will be able to deactivate the lock mechanisms holding the doors to the prison in place, allowing for reinforcements to effectively flood the gates. A number of possible routes and disguises will be offered from the main blog for characters to choose from. The core objective of this mission will be, of course, the rescue of the vigilantes incarcerated within the prison facility. Be they characters controlled by human players or NPCs, a lot of once-practicing vigilantes are going to need help escaping the Hart Island facility amid the chaos surrounding the break-out. Hurt/Comfort abound, and a chance for a character's humane qualities to truly shine. Live action security obstacles that will impede rescue attempts will be posted from the main blog.

Nothing like a good old fashioned brawl to get the blood flowing. Anti-reg forces craft a diversion great enough to both occupy pro-reg forces and buy their allies time to pull off a prison break of such magnitude.

There are always those people who have to secure the escape, the getaway, and who essentially perform damage control on the event. As the public are increasingly exposed to news of the experiments performed on the island facility, there will be those who will attempt to influence the message and/or unpack the full extent of the truth at what went on at Hart Island; and how to prevent it from ever happening again. Tidbits of information would be released from the main blog, that characters could pick up and run with.

» This event option would suit: characters involved with politics or law, or generally very invested in the impact of these events on civilian life, rights, the world of business and security etc; this event takes place after the sabotage, infiltration/rescue, and offensive events
