Dr. L H Hiranandani Hospital, Hiranandani Hospital Road, Hill Side Avenue, Hiranandani Gardens, Powai, Ramabai Ambedkar Nagar, Powai, Mumbai, Maharashtra
Tumblr media
Dr L H Hiranandani was the inspiration behind the edifice. He was born in 1917 in Thatta, Sind (now in Pakistan). The family migrated to Mumbai in 1937. He completed his medical education in 1942. He was keen to further his education and went to England for his fellowship (FRCS). On his return to India in 1947, he joined The Topiwala National Medical College and B.Y.L Nair Hospital, Mumbai as Honorary Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT) Surgeon. In this hospital he rose to be the Head of Department.
Under his stewardship the department of ENT attained vibrancy. He initiated several operative techniques which are known as “Dr Hiranandani’s Operations” globally. He was instrumental in initiating the concept in India that Head and Neck surgeries come under the domain of the ENT surgeons.
The first such department was set up in B.Y.L Nair Hospital in 1972. The department is till date known as “Dr LH Hiranandani Head & Neck and ENT Department”.
Dr Hiranandani’s work earned him many accolades. The American Society of Head & Neck Surgery elected him as their first Indian member. He was the first Indian and the fifth in the world to receive the ‘Golden Award’, from the International Federation of Otolaryngology and Head & Neck Societies. In 2001, he received the ENT Surgeon of the ‘Millennium Award’ and the ‘SAARC Award’ on behalf of the SAARC countries.
Social causes deeply motivated him. In 1973, he gave up a vibrant private practice to undertake social work in drought areas of Maharashtra, for a period of 8 months. He had directed aid for the flood affected people in Odisha and Bihar. He was awarded Maulana Azad Award ’97 by Indian National Congress in recognition of exemplary work during the 1993 communal riots in Mumbai. In the field of medical ethics, he had spear-headed the passing of the Human Organs Transplantation Bill by Lok Sabha in 1994. By this act, the buying of kidneys is declared as a crime. His Humane nature made him stand up for the rights of people and fight against capital punishment and euthanasia.
In 1972, the Government of India awarded him the Padma Bhushan, the third highest civilian National award, for his contribution to the nation. In 1987, he was conferred the Dhanvantari Award, awarded for the first time in the field of ENT, for his notable contribution to medical science.

Projections for 2024 Lok Sabha elections
The last elections for 2023 are over. Now it's time to prepare for the 2024 General Elections. BJP showed that it can beat anti-incumbency factors and return with a bigger share of seats. INC is at a loss as to where it went wrong. Were they wrong from the beginning or did that happen after the nominations were filed? Success in Karnataka elections barely 6 months back put them in an overconfident mode and thought the same formula works for all seasons. Whoever thought so made the only terrible mistake of their life in the Hindi belt or the cow belt as most political commentators would like to call those states - Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh.
I did some simple calculations and arrived at my seat projections for 2024. No surprises. NDA is returning to power, and BJP is improving its 2019 tally. States where they were expected to lag behind are now moving towards BJP. Congress party & I.N.D.I alliance are in for a big shock when the results are announced in mid-May 2024. BJP may improve its tally and will walk away with 308-360 seats and NDA allies will contribute another 20-25 seats. If NDA comes with the slogan "abki baar Modi sarkar aur 400 paar", don't be surprised; it will definitely happen. In the south, Karnataka BJP is likely to lose a couple of seats. They can still come back with a decent number of seats - between 20 to 24. Telangana 4 to 6, Tamil Nadu and Kerala there is a fair chance of them opening their account with one or two seats. Andhra I don't see anything happening now, but as election dates come near, things can change. Bihar & Maharashtra BJP will improve its tally, but the allies will underperform.
BJP will win between 310-360 seats and allies will add another 20 seats taking the NDA tally to 330 to 380 seats. Another projection will be given in mid-January 2024.

Show me any temple with statues in Vedic age, post Vedic age,6th century BC,Mauryan age with carbon dating and acknowledged by science. Temples and statues existed in Greeks religion and post ALEXANDER many Greek settlements in west india transferred statue making which is called GANDHAR ART. .The first Buddhist statues had Appollonian feature.Mathura art saw making of so many statues with indian features.
I agree mathematically Jyotish was advanced in india,We had known good mathematicians. The basic concept of mathematics like decimal system ,quadratic equations, calculation of pi,invention of zero etc was indian contribution to the world. But we failed to move mathematically and protect our real BRAHAMINS..The emergence of nearly 64 heterodox sects in Bihar was a reaction against punditgiri where we see Nanda dynasty emerge which did not patronise BRAHAMINS like Vishnu gupt or Kautilya.
There must be mention of falit jyotish in various literatures like Upnishad, Buddhist literature or Jainism. etc.or even Gita which does not mention it.
Buddha never said,or Mahavira that follow jyotish and do your day according to jyotish. Our civilisation owes to Upnishads the highest intellectual cerebrration of ancient time anywhere in the world .We were the first to come out that Universe came out of nothing. The concept of zero owes to it.The big bang today confirms that universe originated from a singularity but Physicist do not believe much in mathematics of zero ,yet physics will be nothing without mathematics ,they want to solve the omnipotent through equations, unfortunately science rejected the idea of god and sprituality both but inspite of so much good logical age we r moving backward because of science which is exclusively Darwinian, rather it should have opened
the spritual door in parallel with material science.
It is Ok to inquire said the great BUDDHA. do not believe in what is handed to you until it.Had we followed rationality and meditative practices of our real seers we would have been really an advanced spritual nation ,today our religion is astrology centric which is mundane worry about the matter.otherwise we would have been living in our present like the UNIVERSE which is mind.
At the pyschological level astrology can really help provided we move towards mental Hierarchices.
Vajpayee failed india by failing me ,because of jyotish, though he was a good soul only because of Astrology.I should have sold my idea for million dollar which was indirectly offered to me. I was stopped by the Universe......

Congress must be willing to sacrifice in West Bengal, says Trinamool Chief Mamta Banerjee
The Congress Party has registered a great win in Karnataka and it is now the CM of West Bengal, Mamta Banerjee who has expressed her wish to support the Congress Party provided they agree to let go of their aspirations in the state of West Bengal and support Trinamool Congress.
The comment from the Trinamool Chief came as a surprise as to date, she maintained a distance from the national party and always talked about the ‘unity and strength’ of the regional parties in West Bengal to counter the BJP party in the coming 2024 elections.
“Wherever the Congress is strong in their respective 200 seats what we have calculated, let them fight, we will support them. But they have to support other political parties as well. If I support you in Karnataka but you fight against me in Bengal that should not be the policy. If you want to achieve something good, then you have to sacrifice in certain areas,” Banerjee said during a press conference.
She further explained the 1:1 formula and said that the Congress Party must be willing to sacrifice in areas where the regional parties are strong and politically dominant.
“Whoever is strong in some places and regions, they should fight together [not against each other]. Suppose Bengal, so we should fight Bengal, Suppose Delhi so AAP [Aam Aadmi Party] should fight Delhi. In Bihar, Nitish Ji [Kumar] and Tejashwi ji [Yadav] and the Congress also should decide their formula,” she added.
She also said that the Karnataka assembly election results have made it clear that wherever the regional parties are strong, the BJP party cannot make any difference.

Political strategist and corporate tactician Prashant Kishor. Political strategist Kishor has worked for the BJP, INC, AAP, YSRCP, DMK, and TMC. Kishor was trained in public health and spent eight years working for the UN before entering Indian politics. He split ways with Modi during the 2014 elections and collaborated with Nitish Kumar in 2015 to help him win a third term as chief minister of Bihar in the 2015 Assembly Elections. He was employed by the Congress party to run in the 2017 Punjab Assembly elections. Kishor was chosen to serve as a DMK strategist for the elections in Tamil Nadu and as an advisor to the All India Trinamool Congress for the 2021 West Bengal Legislative Assembly election. Major activities in post 2014 Lokshava election
He changed CAG to Indian Political Action Committee after 2014 (I-PAC). Along with Bihar, Kishor and his I-PAC team collaborated with Jagan Mohan Reddy of the YSRCP in Andhra Pradesh and Captain Amarinder Singh in Punjab. His method has so far only failed once, during the 2017 election in Uttar Pradesh, when he collaborated with the Indian National Congress. He also served as the Aam Aadmi Party's strategist during the 2020 election for the Delhi Legislative Assembly, which the party was able to win with a majority of 62 seats out of 70. He is currently collaborating with Mamata Banerjee of the AITC in West Bengal and MK Stalin of the DMK in Tamil Nadu.
Party Joining Shortly
Kishor joined the Janata Dal (United) in 2018, but was kicked out in 2020 for opposing Nitish Kumar's stance in favour of the Citizenship Amendment Act. Kishor was chosen to serve as an All India Trinamool Congress advisor for the 2021 election for the West Bengal Legislative Assembly. His clever plan enabled TMC to re-establish the government. For the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly election that year, the DMK leader M K Stalin hired Kishor as a party strategist. The party gained 159 seats, and Stalin was elected chief minister for the first time. Kishor was awarded the position of a Cabinet Minister in March 2021 and designated as Amarinder Singh's primary advisor for a cost of Re 1. Elections for the Punjab Assembly are scheduled.
